Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since the last official update outside the test branch, and that’s because we’ve been working on a really big new feature that required many hours of testing and tweaks. But the official update is available today, and we hope you’ll like it.
From now on, you can unlock the second floor in the shop! To manage such a large shop, we’ve also added staff to help stock the shelves. You can hire up to 4 assistants, ensuring the shop is always fully stocked.
To ensure staff can arrange goods according to your guidelines, we’ve also introduced a shelf tagging system. You can choose where items are placed, their categories and quality, both in the shop and in the backroom, and even decide whether a staff member can make changes to a particular shelf.
We’ve tried to make setting tags as convenient as possible, so you can easily copy their settings or adjust them in the game options to automatically apply them to newly set shelves.
Many of you will likely be modifying the layout of the entire shop; to speed up this process, we’ve added the option to move furnished shelves. You no longer need to remove all items before rearranging the furniture.
Moving forward, we’ll be focusing mainly on improving the storage area; we’ve already got a pretty good idea of how to make the most of the backroom space, so be sure to keep an eye out for further updates.
As always, you’ll find a list of all the changes and bug fixes below. We encourage you to take a look, although there’s quite a lot this time. Take care, we wish you a great weekend and hope you'll have fun playing!
- Added a new floor. The upgrade is available in management -> expansions tab once all ground floor expansions are owned
- Revamped the expansions UI to fit with the new functionality better
- Added new passage between shop and backroom, unlocked with their final expansions
- Added automatic doors between shop and backroom zones, those doors can be toggled "always open" but leaving them automatic should help with performance
- Added shelf tags. Shelf tags define categories and conditions of products allowed on shelves. By default, shelf tags will inherit the type of the last placed product, but this can be overriden by the user
- Added default shelf tag settings in gameplay settings. They are applied to all shelves when first loading an older save. They are also applied to newly placed shelves
- Shelf tag settings can be copied and pasted. Automatic parameters based on the shelf contents are not copied
- Filled shelves can now be moved around in their current zone, pressing ESC or attempting to put away the moving box will result in the shelf returning to its original position
- Added employees. Employees restock shelves, prioritizing shelves with more space and more narrow categories. Employees respect settings of shelf tags and will ignore products with no price set. Employees can also be blacklisted from using certain shelves
- Added perks for unlocking employees
- Added perk allowing for quicker preview of held / selected product's components
- Component pallets can now generate as M size if "M size" perk is unlocked
- Changed "Self-checkout" perk level requirement from 10 to 8
- Changed "AC pallets" perk level requirement from 7 to 5
