Dear Knights and Dames,
Our expert stone carver has created a magnificent statue of our glorious King Leodric! Naturally, we have added it to your arsenal. It's grand stature is sure to inspire nearby units, allowing them to gain veterancy quicker!
New Structure! The Statue.
The statue is a new structure in the military tab that inspires nearby units, resulting in them gaining veterancy twice as quickly.

Dear Knights and Dames,
My name is Robin, I am the developer of Realms of Madness. In this quick update I want to show you the progress I've made on the upcoming Battle Mode.
What is Battle Mode?
In Battle Mode you will be able to play 1v1 against an enemy in a randomly generated map that you can customize beforehand. The progression tree does not apply here, meaning you'll have access to everything to play around with. It should be a really replayable mode that has you battling a smarter opponent than you would in the existing campaign.
When is it coming?
Battle Mode will be coming as a free update sometime in the next few weeks. To be completely honest, I will release the update once I think Battle Mode is good. Currently, I expect that to take about four to six weeks.
The Battle Menu
Here you can customize your battle before starting it.
Enemy AI
The enemy will be quite smart and will use all units available in the game. This means you'll be fighting dragons but also will have to counter the enemy's chaos abilities such as meteors and tsunamis. The difficulty you set, is up to you!
Thank you for reading and I hope you're looking forward to this update!
Kind regards,
Robin van der Horst
Hi everyone,
It is great to see so many people playing the game! If you have any suggestions, criticisms or feedback, obviously feel free to share them in the discussions tab. I do read every message and want to address every critique to the best of my ability.
Patch #1
A crucial fix / improvement has been implemented for squad movement. The location you clicked was not the most intuitive location. This should hopefully address problems with the unit movement being clunky.
To aid with unit controls, a new guide node will appear when moving units so you can easily tell what row and gridsquare you are moving them to.
I am monitoring crashes constantly, people have reported some and they have all been addressed with a same-day patch. I intend to keep doing that.
Various miscellaneous bugs have been fixed.
What does the future hold?
Battle mode will be coming in December. This will allow you to fight in generated maps against a computer opponent of your choice. You'll be able to set difficulty and control the parameters of the battle as you like!
Please keep the suggestions coming :)
Kind regards,
Robin van der Horst
"Dear Knights and Dames,
Portals have been opened by foul forces, swallowing vast swaths of our beloved kingdom into whatever lies within those wretched things. Therefore, the king has issued a decree to every living soul, able or not, to visit the royal hall and undertake a quest they will not soon forget...
It is an honour and a privilege to welcome you.
Glory to Gyldor!"
- R.W.H. Aldred, Advisor to His Grace King Leodric.
Realms of Madness development is continuing smoothly. Originally, the game was scheduled to launch on September 15th. However, because of the desire to add more polish and do more quality assurance the game is now targeting November 4th 2025. Please keep in mind this may shift a few days as I look for the right day to launch.
I apologize for disappointment caused by this delay. I'll make sure to deliver a great game in the end! :)
Thank you,
Robin van der Horst
