Picnic DLC
Chubby Fish & Starving Shark Recovery System
- In the Fish Tab → Fish Tank menu, Chubby Fish / Starving Sharks and their normal rehabilitated versions are now displayed separately.
- When adding Chubby Fish or Starving Sharks to Aquariums, their number in the Fish Tank menu will decrease, while the number of their normal rehabilitated versions will automatically increase.
New Avatar ItemsNew Picnic-Themed Cosmetics
- Added 6 new Picnic-themed Costume Packages.
- Added 2 new Avatar items (Cap & Jacket).
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where some players experienced missing avatar gloves and a narrowed field of view when using the Leopard Pattern Sunglasses.
- Fixed an issue where giant gloves from other players could appear in multiplayer sessions.
- Fixed duplicate fish entries appearing in the Fishdex for Picnic Stages 2 and 7.
- Implemented fixes to improve multiplayer connectivity and reduce connection issues.
- Fixed the multiplayer room creation issue in the DLCs.

The long-awaited Dark Megalodon Boss Stage has finally opened.
The previously locked map is now unlocked, and you can now encounter and capture this massive monster.
Jump into the event map now and challenge the Dark Megalodon for yourself.

The ocean has changed, and the hunt has begun! We’ve received feedback regarding the difficulty of catching Hero Sharks. To help you master the current Spring Shark Frenzy event, here is everything you need to know about the new gear requirements and event details.
Hero Sharks are designed with significantly higher strength than regular sharks. Standard fishing rods are not sufficient to handle them effectively. To increase your success rate, you must use specialized Shark Gear.
Action: Purchase and equip a Shark Rod & Reel before entering Hero Shark maps.
Where to Buy (Credit Shop): IRON BITE series (starting at 10,000 Credits) or the high-end MEGALODON series.
Where to Buy (Premium Shop): Various themed sets like Neptune, Sunburst, or the Snowman Package ($2.99 – $4.99).
Event Period: April 16, 2026 – May 17, 2026
Dark Megalodon Stage: Opens May 4. You can track the countdown in the bottom-right of the map UI.
All four event maps are now fully open! You can encounter and hunt Dark Hero Sharks freely.
The Challenge: Catch 50 sharks per map to complete the bounty.
Rewards: Earn Golden Tokens for your catches.
Completion: Once you catch 50 on a specific map, that shark will no longer appear there.
⚠️ Participation Notice: This is an optional long-term challenge. You do not need to catch all 200 sharks to enjoy the event. Take your time and play at your own pace!

You did it — all four stage missions are now complete!
The Megalodon has finally awakened… and the King of Sharks has summoned all Hero Sharks into the final stage. As a result, Shark Stages 1–4 are no longer accessible, and now all Hero Sharks can be caught only in the final Megalodon Stage!

Just as sharks snatch away fish... the Megalodon snatches away sharks!
He’s no ordinary shark — with greater strength and endurance, he’ll push your skills to the limit.
You can purchase the Megalodon Rod from the TV shop using Credits, or grab a fancy design one from the Premium Shop via in-app purchase.
You can still challenge him using regular or shark rods, but… be warned, it won’t be easy.
The Megalodon is simply too massive to fit inside your Lodge aquarium.
Once players worldwide reach 100% completion and you’ve caught at least one Megalodon yourself, this legendary creature will become your personal pet, swimming right in front of your Lodge!
※ We originally planned to release the Megalodon Stage with a Co-Op mode, but due to some issues, this stage has been developed as a solo fishing experience. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Winter Shark Frenzy is Finally Here on Steam! (v2.578 Update)
The wait is over — the Winter Shark Frenzy update has launched on Steam! The Shark Surfer Team is now on a global mission to find rare sharks throughout multiple regions. Now anglers from around the world can join forces to catch Hero Sharks and unlock new stages together.
🎣 Event Details
Global Unlock Challenge Catch Hero Sharks at each stage to fill the global progress gauge. After all the missions have been accomplished, a special Boss Battle Stage will open on December 10 — featuring the legendary Massive One!
4 New Hero Sharks Each saltwater map features a unique Hero Shark with its own appearance and behavior.
Exclusive Shark Rod & Reel Special fishing gear designed only for shark fishing! Grants bonus stats when battling Huge or Shark-class fish. Cannot catch small fish (marked in red). Available for purchase with Credits in the in-game Shop.
The Winter Shark Frenzy event will run throughout December, so jump in, reel in some sharks, and help unlock the final battle stage together with anglers worldwide!

Hello everyone,
We are pleased to announce that the next major update for Real VR Fishing (Steam) will go live on November 26 at 3:00 AM PST.
This update includes all content up to the Mexico DLC, featuring the France, Belgium, Netherlands, Oceania, Canada, and Mexico DLCs, as well as all bug fixes and content updates released during that period.
We sincerely apologize for the long delay and truly appreciate your patience and continued support. From this update onward, we are committed to maintaining the same update timeline as the Meta Quest version. While there may be slight differences in release timing between platforms, we will ensure that long gaps without updates do not occur again.
Please note that cross-play between the Meta and Steam versions is also under development. Although it was originally planned for this update, it requires additional development and will be released at a later time.
