Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
This main plotline update completes Act VI (formerly known as Act V Chapter Two) - and it does so in proper style. With an entire novel’s worth of dragon-on-human (and sometimes other things) action.
A very warm welcome to Ratatooey, whose gorgeous scene art fills out our gallery as we sprint towards completion.
MVP of a major update is always impossible to choose - but DoItToJulia’s expert command of her writer-harem is what has allowed us to move our plotline forward so swiftly. She also moonlights as a VA now, isn’t that cool?
Runner-up spots to Amon Ra, for marshalling our artists so well; to Irrelevant Art, for the deluge of new character art; to GreyScale, for the new scene audio enhancements; and to Tosk, and his elite team of playtester-monkeys, for getting this build ready to share with you all.

Coldreach, Bastion, and Gutter's Cove will no longer briefly appear reconquerable in Act VI when they are already secured, causing you to get stuck in the deployment screen.

The swamplands will be available for reconquest in Act VI if Valzira is still on the loose in non-Cataclysm playthroughs.
Every character will be clothed during the “strange direction” dream, regardless of their in-game state.

It's that most glorious time of year - the Steam Summer Sale, when we spite Lord Sun by staying inside and playing lots of video games. And we are celebrating in suitable fashion: with a whopping 25% off both Ravager and the Ravager soundtrack.
Already own a copy? Or want to save even more money? Then check out our bundles with fellow creators of deeply cultured content:
The Dark Desires bundle offers a delectable and diverse trio of villainous protagonist games:
In Slaves Of Rome, you were born a master. A true Roman! The slaves are here for one reason only - to serve you! You can also trade the slaves you have trained, send them to missions to earn you money, and build your reputation. You can be a nice master and form a real bond with your slaves (each with unique back story and personality), or more of an "typical" Roman master with a more dominating approach.
In Vae Victis - Khan, you play as Karder Dal-Arouya. He is many things: a prince, an escaped prisoner, a usurper, a brute, a fighter. But he has only one goal in life: to conquer the empire stolen from him by his treacherous queen mother. On his quests you will meet friends and foes, powerful beasts, and sexy rulers. Dominate your defeated foes, and decide whether you want to use them for your dark pleasures or seduce them to aid you with their skills and knowledge.
The Fantastic Fantasy bundle pairs Ravager with a recently-completed AVN fantasy classic.
In Between Two Worlds, you and your friends are playing a simple tabletop game, adventuring in the fantasy world of Euchora. But strange things start happening to you. What is going on? Take on the role of the hero. Or, is it the anti hero? That is up to you! Through your choices in the game you will either save the day and stand proudly with those you love, or you will rule the darkness with them kneeling at your feet. And warming your bed at night!
The Darkest Knights bundle is for enjoyers of narrative-rich dark fantasy. It addition to Vae Victis - Khan, it has two exciting titles:
In Parasite Black, you play a hero thrust into an existential war, and unexpectedly cursed with monstrous power. With your newfound "gift," you may hold the key to turning the tide of war and saving the realm from destruction. But you’re not just saving the world—you’re deciding who you want to be in it. Do you lead with honour, dive into debauchery, or something in between?
In Her Last Piece, you are trapped alone in the castle of a sinister and powerful woman. Choose your path as you try to survive Arvenia's mind games! Will you stay focused on your escape? Or will you perhaps try to win her heart? Be careful - her possessive dark desires might lead to more than you bargained for. Can you survive a dark yandere queen's schemes? Or will you fall for her charms? Always remember... She lies.
It’s been a while since we’ve caught up on development - I’ve been very busy, err, catching up on development! With the assistance of Mattrex, DoItToJulia, and her corral of supporting writers, we’ve been pushing the main plotline forwards as fast and hard as – as, well, a dragon might. There will be no update this month, because we are getting ready to release version 6 next month.
Yes, we have officially decided to stop fooling ourselves, and to start calling an Act an Act. Act V Chapter Two pushed Ravager over 1.5 million words (not including code!); it is now officially Act VI, and we are updating our version numbers to match. The last parts of Act VI are being finalised and playtested now – they’d be done already, but we decided to add quite a lot of bonus treats for you all, so you can look forward to those.
We have already begun work on the first elements of Act VII (formerly Act V Chapter Three). In keeping with our drive to finish the main plotline, we’re initially focusing entirely on the very most exciting elements: the decisive resolution of any Realm-scale threats (friendly or otherwise), getting crowned, and (most likely) getting married to your betrothed of choice. There will be a few twists and turns along the way, but I don’t want to spoil the surprises!
When all this is done, and we’ve tidied up any missing elements, we will consider ourselves to have reached main release. But our work will not stop there! Wedding nights, your draconic progeny, final scenes with all of your waifus (and husbandos), epilogues... there’s a lot we’d like to add, and we want to do that with the main release already under our belt (and without holding up the conclusion to the story!).
And once all of those are done, we can start thinking about expansions. I have some ideas.
Dev Notes
We are back to our regular updates! This build consolidates together our many many fixes for the new reconquest mechanics, and adds huge quantities of new media.
Progress on the next main plotline update has been extremely rapid, averaging over 10k words of finalised content every week(!). It’s gonna be pretty massive, and you can look forward to it soon™.
MVPs of this build are Cython and Mokkel, who have demolished a huge chunk of our VA backlog. Great work, fellas!
We recently marked our 100,000th sale on Steam. Thank you, everyone ^_^

v540 Dev Notes
This update contains over 50,000(!) words of new content, largely swallowed by two enormous adventure sequences. It also sets our record for new voice acting, animations, sound effects, and splash art.
If you are a fan of lore and/or ultraviolence, this is your update! If you are not, hold out for the final installment of Act V Chapter Two – already drafted, and arriving soon.
I have begun work with a group of artists, including Sommelier (of Seeds Of Chaos fame), to create our final CG assets. The first batch is in this update, and I think they look really great.
Recordings of our VA streams have arrived onto Youtube, courtesy of KoboldWarning. Check them out! More and more will arrive over the coming weeks.
And GreyScale, voice of Rhyll and the dragon, has started regular livestreams on Twitch. Give the fellow a follow.

Dev Notes
This update contains over 50,000(!) words of new content, largely swallowed by two enormous adventure sequences. It also sets our record for new voice acting, animations, sound effects, and splash art.
If you are a fan of lore and/or ultraviolence, this is your update! If you are not, hold out for the final installment of Act V Chapter Two – already fully drafted, and arriving soon.
I have begun work with a group of artists, including Sommelier (of Seeds Of Chaos fame), to create our final CG assets. The first batch is in this update, and I think they look great.

And everything found during playtesting. Hot gosh there was a lot. Thank you so much, playtesters!
Thus begins 2026, and the Year Of Trojan The Horse! Whilst I’ve been quiet over the festive period, that is not the same thing as being (entirely) idle. So let’s have a look at everything that has been happening, and is about to happen.
Our new year’s resolution is “finish the main plotline; no seriously; do it”. Over the last few months I’ve been working with lead editor DoItToJulia and our new project manager Midnight Iris to slave our entire writing capacity to that end. Previously, Mattrex and I would work through the main plotline sequentially, while DoItToJulia’s writing team worked with us on the remainder - but that was vulnerable to sudden incapacity and logjams, as we’ve seen.
I’ve been working with both to get the main plotline outlined in advance, parcelled, and absolutely everyone on it - which means we can write the whole thing simultaneously. We’ve pulled in old hands and recruited new talent for the task, including John Drake. Thus far, this approach has yielded extremely good results, and we expect to be moving that waterline up very quickly over the next few months.
This is another area of focus – we want to get all of our art up to a common, final standard, in time for our main release. To that end, we’ve moved our splash artist Undoodle over from Permission To Dock to focus exclusively on new pieces for Ravager, and we’re inviting back Sintax Error to help with the remainder of our character art. For our scene art, we’re bringing in three(!) artists to do a turbo enhancement sweep on our older pieces - including Sommelier, who you may already be familiar with from their work on Seeds Of Chaos.
But that’s not all! I’m working with HereToHelp to get all of our sprites properly scaled and aligned, and with Amon Ra on getting the newest ones animated. He’s begun breathing movement into our new-look “messy” sprites, and what I’ve seen so far looks amazing.
Our musician Exo Spectra has already done a fabulous job with our soundtrack – and now he’s turning his attention to the rest of Ravager’s soundscape, going through scene by scene and adding environmental and action foley. The last update saw that applied to the start of Act I, and lots more is to come. And there will be enhancements to our music, too, as he finds places for alternate themes and variations.
Voice acting has been part of Ravager’s signature from the very first build, and that’s another area I’m paying a lot of attention to. We’ve brought in fresh cutters and engineers to help with our backlog of raw recordings, and I’ve been running between our cast of voice talent to get them back into the recording booths. Where a character isn’t yet cast, or the old voice talent is no longer available, I’ve been finding new faces – most notably, Fenrah Alesari will be taking over for our darling serpentine daughter.
The unreasonably vast size of Ravager – about 1.3 million words, which is more than twice the length of Lord Of The Rings – makes translation efforts difficult. I’ve brought in Majaeste to assist Soulphase with coordinating our fan localisation teams, and supporting new translators. If you are bilingual, and would like to assist their efforts (in exchange for shiny benefits), please let us know in our Discord server.
And that’s (much of) what we’ve been up to! Given the nature of the internet, I expect some of you will be concerned that we are overworking ourselves – and others convinced that we are doing nowhere near enough. The truth of the matter is that we are doing as much as we sustainably can, in the smartest manner we can come up with. The end is in sight... and we’re getting there, soon.
I hope you enjoyed the main plotline update! We have already commenced work on the next section, and there is more to come soon.
We take a “soft break” over the holidays, so our next build will be in early February.
But if you want to join us on Discord for our festive stream on the 20th December, I’ll see you there!
MVP of this build is Amon Ra, for making three whole (and very beautiful) animated splashes.

The first phase of Chapter Two's conclusion is here! This one is for people with a naga daughter, or an empowered lair faction, in one of their playthroughs. If you don’t have either of those, you might want to wait for our next instalment. But there’s a bunch of other cool stuff in this update, so maybe it’s a good time to start a new playthrough?
We are collaborating with Cumkeys on The Party Mascot - a fully animated visual novel, which will be released after Ravager is complete.
I have been working a lot of nights getting this ready - so, once I know the build is stable, I’m gonna take a couple of weeks off. The next monthly update will arrive as normal, but it’ll be a little more modest than usual.
MVP of a major update is always tricky to pick out; everyone worked really hard on this one. Special mentions to Undoodle for having made three(!) new pieces of splash art and two hundred(!!) sprite enhancements - as well as Dracomancien for his ardent bug hunting, all the way up to 5am on the night before release.

Back in July, I talked about our ambition to collaborate on short-form projects with other talented creators. That ambition has now borne fruit, and I am excited to announce our first collaborative project will be with Cumkeys.
You are a wolf, of uncanny size and intellect. Three brave heroines have rescued you from rubble, and adopted you as their party mascot.
But this isn't the tale you think it is. In the aftermath of their adventures, the three women perform their appointed parts… and their heroic façades crack like old paint, revealing something monstrous beneath. You'll witness every argument, every desperate coupling, every draught of numbing intoxication. You can see everything. You can say nothing.
Will you save them? Will they even want to be saved?
"Standing seven feet tall in blessed steel, Lady Evangeline brings righteous fury to the wicked! Born of distant noble blood, and trained in ancient sword-forms, she is the very pinnacle of her exotic tradition. They say she could have lived in comfort, but chose instead the wanderer's path. Truly, her nobility of spirit matches her nobility of birth!"
Evangeline is escalating the challenges the party has to face, from goblins to ogres to dragons – chasing a glory that could eclipse the rotten truth she conceals. She drinks long into the night… and in those private hours, she practices her confessions on you. Only then does she speak with her real voice, and slur out grim tales of her past.
"The mysterious Morsūl has walked every path of magic, and emerged with wisdom beyond mortal ken! Her ways may seem strange to us common folk – but how are we to know the mind of one so close to the truth of ages? She shares her vast knowledge with her companions, and guides them through dangers that only her ancient eyes can perceive!"
Morsūl maneuvers people and objects according to a logic that only she comprehends – tasting emotions, cataloguing screams, delectating on dynamics. She needs something, something new, something interesting at all times. And your interruption to the stale party dynamic is tantalisingly rich in possibilities.
"Blessed by the gods themselves! This beast-blooded savant dances through danger as though the very fates guide her paws. Where others would fall to traps, she finds safe passage. Where others see certain doom, she spots the one path to victory. Her innocent charm belies her uncanny gift – and fortune smiles upon any party wise enough to welcome her!"
Where once Fortuna moved with feline certainty, now she second-guesses every step. She has started ‘accidentally’ triggering traps that she already detected. The party thinks she's becoming clumsier – but in reality, something far darker is emerging.
You, alone, exist outside of their toxic codependency. You're the one piece that doesn't fit their pattern of mutual destruction. But whether that makes you their salvation, or just another catalyst for their dissolution, remains to be seen.
The Party Mascot is a choice-based visual novel, scripted by 4MinuteStudio, and fully animated in stunning 3D by Cumkeys.
Yes! Cumkeys has been a successful 3D animator for years, and he is ready to do something really special. Think of it like an interactive movie.
Our build does not contain any content that breaks their new policies. A patch will be made available separately, for free.
We expect The Party Mascot to be released sometime in 2026, after Ravager’s main plotline is completed.
It will not. The Party Mascot is a shorter and more visual game, and our script support is a small fraction of our overall output. And a touch of variety makes creatives work faster.
Hi dragon fans! The last time I had the chance to talk was back in July - unknowingly mere days before the crackdown started. Between that, the art overhaul, and work progressing the story, I haven’t had the chance to respond to all your lovely (or kindly critical) comments - sorry! But I have a lungful of air now, so I’ll take the opportunity to get you up to speed.
This has been our main priority, and Mattrex and I have been working together on it. Our branching narrative means that it’s more work than you’ll see in any given playthrough (and needs to accommodate all playthroughs), but that’s the chalice we’ve chosen to sup from. I’m going to talk about its scope, so skip this section if you want to avoid very minor spoilers about what to expect.
The end of Chapter Two has three sequential phases:
First is the special ‘crisis’ session of court, which will tackle the most important thing happening in your particular Realm. A Cataclysm is obviously top of the list, but failing that, lair factions (friendly or otherwise) get some proper screentime.
Second is the ‘reconquest’ mechanic. If you have become estranged with one of your mortal hordes, this will be a chance to deal with them in a more conclusive (and cathartic) way. Other territories that were overlooked during your initial conquest can also be mopped up at this point.
Third is bedtime! As with Chapter One, you deserve a little private time with your fiancee of choice. Or, if you’ve elected to remain a bachelor, whichever poor maid happens to be closest at hand.
After discussing with the team, I have decided to break from tradition - we will release each phase as it is ready, rather than waiting to dump it all at once. Our changelogs will tell you exactly what is delivered and when. This will stop you from waiting, aid us in testing, and allow us to avoid most/all of the logic pitfalls that typify a major update.
This means that we will release the first phase in the next update! Woo! Depending on how the last steps go, our next update will arrive either at the end of this month or sometime in the next one. Wish us luck.
We’re not sitting on our laurels after the recent overhaul. Lubbio will continue drawing our new scenes and critical remasters, now with more focused support from me, and I am also getting help from Sintax on bringing pieces up to a final standard. Undoodle has been moved over from her work on Permission To Dock to make more splash art for Ravager, and Amon Ra is working on our next animated scenes.
Back in the innocent days before the entire adult game landscape was set on fire, I reached out to other creators about future collaborations. I am excited to say that this has borne fruit! Though I can’t say too much right now, we will be working with a very talented person on the creation of a small but perfectly-formed little game. It’s early days yet, but you can look forward to the announcement sometime in the next few weeks.
That’s it from me - I’m headed back to the story mines. Thank you all for your support during this very tricky time, and I look forward to proving your faith justified.

Today's Ravager update completes our big art overhaul - with well over a thousand new, remastered, retouched, and regraded CGs. And we wanted to celebrate - so Ravager is now 25% off, for a limited time!
There's no better time to grab your permanent copy.
This update completes the art overhaul that our last one started. Our graphics aren’t final quite yet, and some have been left aside pending remakes - but I am proud to have a cohesive “look” for our game at last.
While there are a couple of shiny new scenes in this update, I have been primarily focused on advancing the main plotline. This has gone very well! Next month, I hope to share the first part of Chapter Two’s conclusion with you all.
MVP of this build is Amon Ra, for his hard work on a huge number of animations, as well as all our shiny new branding.
And a special shout out to Mokkel, who has done so much for us as a sound engineer (and by training up his peers) for so many years. If you’d like to join his team as a volunteer voice cutter, see our announcement on our Discord.

Our Moon-Friendly Edition is about to be released! It is a non-explicit version of Ravager, and should be of interest to people who are concerned about (or affected by) censorship.

Now that Exo Spectra has almost finished work on our backgrounds and soundtrack (OST2 coming soon!), I have brought him on board to help perform colour grading. This has very quickly and very efficiently improved the quality of a huge amount of our older scene art.
But colour grading is not magic, and many of our pieces will need a supplemental once-over by our loyal scene artist Lubbio to bring them up to a contemporary standard. This will happen steadily, as our development pace allows. For now, we have focused on the simplest changes that make the biggest difference.
We now have a YouTube channel where you can watch our voice actors play video games (when they’re not recording).

We don’t know quite how recent events will play out, but we do know one thing: that if you have a copy of Ravager, you’ll be able to keep it, all the way through to its final glorious iteration. So we’re launching an unprecedented half-price ‘dragonfire sale’! Ravager has never been this cheap before, and it probably will never be this cheap again.
The dragonfire sale will last for two weeks, but don’t delay - the world is quickly turning. If you want to own a copy of Ravager, forever, now is the time.
Greetings from my increasingly-tropical island! I'm pleased to report that Malagar’s crystal stash continues to work its particular magic. There is a mountain of things to catch up on, but I’m in the process of doing exactly that. And one of those things is to have this conversation with you.
When I started Ravager’s development, the technological landscape looked rather different. Even when we arrived on Steam, AI was still mostly the province of science fiction. Now? Now it is impossible to look away from.
It is a contentious topic - righteously and deservedly so. The default position for developers is to stay artfully quiet, and hope the whole thing blows over. But we're not a soulless corporation - we're a small gang of enthusiasts, who've carved out a niche making horny games about dragons. I think you should speak openly and plainly about what you believe, whenever you can. And I can, so I will.
I believe that AI can be a great assistive tool when paired with human talent. It can help break through creative blocks, speed up tedious processes, and open doors for people who might otherwise struggle to realise their visions. That's the optimistic view, and I think there's truth in it.
But let's not kid ourselves. AI is also being used to exploit and exclude human talent. It is drastically lowering the barriers to entry for game development, which sounds great (it is), until you realise we're heading for a kind of slopocalypse: a tsunami of cheaply produced mediocrity, poised to flood every platform. I suspect Steam's algorithms will shield you from the worst of its effects! But as creators, we need to plan for this impending reality.
Ravager will continue to celebrate organic writing, art, voices, and code.
I have no issue with a writer consulting AI for advice on a tricky plot point, or an artist using it to brainstorm potential compositions. That is clever tool use, and does not beggar anyone. But the content that actually features in our games will remain human-crafted.
In line with this commitment, I'll be removing the placeholder machine translations from Ravager. If someone wants to mod them back in, that’s fine - but our support will focus on the excellent fanmade localisations that our community is in the process of creating.
This policy will also extend to our next project, Permission To Dock. It uses some genuinely exciting new techniques and technologies that showcase exactly what coordinated human creativity can achieve. Permission To Dock is being prototyped as we speak, and I look forward to showing you what I mean once Ravager has reached its main release.
‘Reaching main release’ is possibly the best mitigation against the coming slopocalypse - so that remains our primary and overriding priority. Health issues have slowed us down in the first half of this year (most especially mine!), but now we've regathered our momentum, and we’re working smarter than ever. And to avoid those agonising waits between major updates, we're portioning things up more sensibly:
Version 5.3: The conclusion of Chapter Two
Version 5.4: The beginning of Chapter Three
Version 5.5: The conclusion of Chapter Three - and our full release!
We will continue with our monthly updates throughout - and if we hit any further blockers, we’ll slice up our to-dos around them. Bonus endings and character epilogues will arrive after 5.5 as a free update (because you all deserve it), while any further expansions will follow as DLC.
Another defence against mediocrity is consolidating excellence. As talent gets shaken up by the twisting landscape, I want to link arms with them. We are looking for short collaborations with established creators of all kinds - developers from around the world, artists and animators who haven't touched games yet, writers with fresh perspectives, you name it. We’ll pair them with our resources, our audience, and our perverse sense of mission, and we’ll see what magic emerges.
If you're one such established creator, and this sounds like your cup of tea, drop me a line on Discord!
All that having been said, it would be folly to tie ourselves completely to one approach when the world is shifting so rapidly beneath our feet. So I'm keeping an open mind about allowing some short-form experiments in future, where team members could create small projects with the assistance of AI.
If successful, such experiments could give voice to game ideas that would otherwise never see daylight, as well as help fund our main projects. However - and this is crucial - we will never use our team's contributions to train AI without their consent, and we forbid others from doing so. If a teammember’s artistic DNA ends up in a project then they'll be properly compensated, by prior agreement on their terms.
I know this position won't please everyone. Some will think we're being too permissive, others that we're being too restrictive. But I believe it is fair, it is right, and it positions us to navigate the coming storms whilst holding fast to what matters most.
That's quite enough pontificating from me. Time to get my head out of the clouds, and back down into the code where it belongs. Look forward to a bumper-sized update towards the end of this month - we've got a proper feast prepared for you!
All the best,
4MinuteWarning (and the gang)
It's that most glorious time of year - the Steam Summer Sale, when we spite Lord Sun by staying inside and playing lots of video games. And we are celebrating in suitable fashion: with a whopping 25% off both Ravager and the Ravager soundtrack.
Already own a copy? Or want to save even more money? Then check out our bundles with fellow creators of deeply cultured content:
The new Dark Desires bundle offers a delectable and diverse trio of villainous protagonist games:
She lies.

Everything caught by our noble and hardworking playtesters! Thank you testers!
And typo fixes, as always.
For all of its many qualities, Ravager has a few shortcomings: it cannot be acquired in some localities, it cannot be played by streamers, and it is certainly not for everyone. After numerous requests, and a lot of studious work from our coders, we are happy to correct that with Ravager - Moon-Friendly Edition.
Ravager - Moon-Friendly Edition presents a less explicit rendition of our draconic fantasy epic. The world the dragon inhabits is just as dark - you just don't indulge in that darkness yourself.
If you already own a copy of Ravager, you do not have to worry about the Moon-Friendly Edition! We will update both games seamlessly, in parallel. But maybe you know a friend who might enjoy being a dragon in a different way, or who is from one of those localities that frowns on cultured(tm) content. We are accelerating our translation efforts, with the goal of giving better support to non-English-speaking players when it releases.
Ravager - Moon-Friendly Edition is available to wishlist now. If you're interested, lease do!
I finally have my health sorted! Hurrah! Please enjoy this nice housekeeping update; plenty more is on its way.
We are experimenting with offering alternate machine translations while the manual translations are still in progress - right now, this is available for French and Spanish. Please let us know whether this is something you’d like to see for other languages.
