Hello ranchers,

We're excited to reveal a new game update and a new DLC launching on May 25!

Quality of Life Update

This game update, which will of course be available at no additional cost to all players, focuses on quality of life improvements.

For example, this update will stop animals scattering when purchased, add a sterilization gun so that you can prevent breeding and add the option to recover lost cars via a terminal in the car store.

A common issue, especially for those of you who have large ranches, is reduced performance due to large volumes of dead animals. To tackle this, dead animals will now be automatically skinned after a certain amount of time.

There's also a handful of optimisation improvements and bug fixes coming in this update.

Ranch Simulator: Highland Cows Pack

Also on May 25 we'll be launching a new paid DLC: the Highland Cows Pack!

Expand your farm with this world-famous Scottish cattle breed! Care for these adorable cows, milk them for produce and breed baby calves. These lovable cows are available in three different colours - black, white and ginger.

Ranch Sim's fishing update is now live! Whether alone or with friends, head down to the lake for a relaxing new pastime and money making opportunity.

To purchase a fishing rod and tackle you'll need to head to the new fishing hut, which is marked on the in-game map.

Once obtained, keep an eye out for ripples near the edge of the water to locate fishing spots.

Hold Tab to access the action wheel and switch to your rod, and then press the R key to open the tackle menu and make your selection.

Now you are all set! Hold right click to cast. Once you have a bite, press left click to pull the fish in.

We have a variety of fish species (carp, trout, perch) and sizes, as well as three tackle types to choose from, so dive in and see how much money you can make for your ranch.

We've also added fishing to the Southwest Ranch & Farm DLC map, so it's a great time to jump in if you haven't already:

We're excited to announce that the new supply and demand economy system in now available in Ranch Sim, making your business and produce sales feel more dynamic as a result.

Also added is a bunch of new decorations and building components, enabling you to further customise your homestead and make it your own! (This free update adds the new supply and demand system and the new decorations and building components to both the base game and the Southwest Ranch & Farm DLC)

Supply and Demand System

Prices are now affected by the local supply and demands. The more you sell of an item, the lower the buying price will be, so make sure you diversify your ranch to maximise profits.

These new prices will appear at all places you can sell goods, including the General Store, Hardware Store, and even Best Burger.

To keep track of the new price changes and also the Best Burger bonuses, you can now view a newspaper from newspaper stands which are dotted around key areas.

You can also now build a mailbox at your ranch so you can view these prices from the comfort of your own homestead.

New Decorations and Building Components

We also have new decorations available to build on your Ranch, plus a handful of new building components including new roof and wall styles. Jump into the game and take a look!

Bug Fix

This update also fixes an issue related to sheep milk turning in goat milk when transferred from bucket to can.

Our focus is now on the Fishing update coming towards the end of the year.

Hello ranchers,

We're excited to announce that sheep are now available in Ranch Sim!

You can now purchase, raise and tend to sheep and lamb on your ranch. Make sure to shear the sheep and sell the wool for a profit, or milk them and make cheese! Alternatively, slaughter the sheep for meat to sell to the general store or the Best Burger restaurant for funds.

This new update also adds the ability to produce sausages and meatballs from goat meat.

Patch Notes

• Added sheep

• Sheep can be sheared

• Trimmer (for sheep shearing) added to general store

• Sheep and Goat meat can now be processed into Sausages and Meatballs

• Sheep can be milked and that milk can be turned into Cheese

How to Shear Sheep

You'll need to purchase trimmers from general store - once you've picked up the trimmers, this unlocks the ability to shear sheep. It doesn't need to be equipped in the action wheel. Approach sheep and you'll see a prompt to shear.

How to Milk Sheep

You can milk female sheep in the same way you milk a cow. However, you will need to use a small bucket for this or the milking machine. You can use this milk to produce cheese, and add mould to the cheese to increase the value.

Up Next for Ranch Sim

Our focus is now moving onto our fall update, which will add a host of additional decoration and building items, enabling you to make your ranch feel more like a home.

We will also be updating the in-game economy, in particular around the selling of goods. Adding systems which change prices based on supply and demand, making the in-game economy more engaging.

• Addressed an issue where some animal navigation and behaviours were not triggering correctly on load
• Fixed a crash issue when constructing very large buildings and large quantity of blueprints have been placed

• Further fixes to the muscle car quest

• Eggs placed on foundations will no longer cause hatched chicks to spawn within the foundation
• Double beds can now sleep 2 people once again
• Lawnmower prompt said flip instead of load when loading onto the car trailer
• Dogs assigned to different dog houses will no longer be assigned to the same house on load

• Fixed an issue with the muscle car rear door disappearing or not appearing (Fixed, however the quest marker unfortunately may not show up if the quest was logged prior to this update)
• New vehicle customisation now saves correctly
• Fixed teleporting issue when jumping on the bridge in multiplayer
• Fixed issue where if the new truck goes out of rendering distance and then back again the colour would return to default for clients

• Fixed issues relating to the creation of multiplayer sessions
• Fixed a crash issue when using the in-game invitation system
• Mowing grass should now work for all players (hosts and clients) and on all ranches
• Accessing horse auctions now works correctly for all signs across the new Southwest Expansion map
• New vehicles will no longer show passengers as sitting under the vehicle
• Fences should now be visible for all players in multiplayer sessions (new Southwest Expansion map)
• Debris previously placed under the map is now visible in northern ranch area (new Southwest Expansion map)

Full Patch Notes

• Box truck no longer spins out of control when placing items above tires in the rear
• Adjusted controller settings to avoid multiple inputs on the same button presses
• Fixed an issue preventing eggs from hatching
• Made changes to the car trailer so that vehicles can be loaded on and secured to the trailer
• Dogs are now correctly assigned to houses and assignments are saved
• Turning off lightning flashes when stormy in the settings now works correctly
• Walk key added to keybind list
• Mass of fuel trailer reduced, this should make it easier to handle on smaller vehicles
• Oil can no longer be sold twice by clients in multiplayer sessions
• Honey barrels will remain attached on load
• Pots should remain attached to machines on load
• Male horses will no longer show pregnancy icon
• Broken goat colour removed from store
• Lights can no longer accidentally be attached to animals
• Egg basket handles will now be down on load, preventing clipping issues
• Fence leading up to the Ranch can now be demolished
