Hey everyone,
We're releasing a new update today focused on train pathfinding and movement behavior, an area that plays a central role in keeping your railroad network running smoothly.
Smarter Routes, Smoother Operations
We've continued refining how trains plan and execute their routes. With this update, trains can now apply route modifications while in motion, respond more reliably to infrastructure changes, and handle yielding situations more effectively in busy sections of the track.
Additionally, stations can now include designated through tracks that allow trains to pass through without stopping. This gives player greater control over traffic flow, helping reduce congestion at busy hubs and keeping express and long-distance services moving efficiently.
As railroad networks grow, so does the complexity of traffic management. These improvements are designed to make train movement more predictable and responsive, helping operations run more smoothly even in densely connected sections of your network.
Clear Signals
We've also addressed an issue with semaphore signal colors displaying incorrectly. While a relatively small fix, accurate signaling information is essential when monitoring busy junctions and identifying potential bottlenecks across your railroad.
Looking Ahead
This is one of several planned improvements to pathfinding and train behavior. We'll continue refining these systems in future updates as we work toward making railroad operations more reliable and intuitive.
As always, we’d love to read your feedback on these updates to help us tweak them to perfection. Community reports are crucial in helping us identify areas for improvement and prioritize future development efforts.
