Greetings Adventurers, Today I bring you a whole bunch of goodies, including a brand-new major update, free DLC, and purchasing improvements! Before we get into the details, I would like to sincerely thank you for your support. The Legacy Update and 1.0 release have been very successful. Thanks to your support, I am able to spend additional development time on RAIDBORN and bring you one final major update beyond the completed roadmap. Upcoming Major Update {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/39985952/796f60451bbbd96e12bb93f081f5a7b566180560.png Based on the results of the recent player survey (see below) and the success of the game, I have decided to do one last (and free) major update. This update is dedicated to all Early Access supporters and players who have spent countless hours in the world of RAIDBORN. The Infinity Update will focus specifically on the endgame aspect and introduce features to create a virtually endless progression loop for all who just can't get enough of looting dungeons. Below you can find a first overview of what you can expect. More information will follow soon. 🔹Improved Armor System 🔹Arcane Weapon Enchantments 🔹Infinite Endgame (unlocking all level caps and other limits) 🔹New Endgame Mechanics 🔹New Endgame Content 🔹New Achievements Store and Purchasing Improvements Based on your feedback, I have also made several improvements to how RAIDBORN and its DLC can be purchased on Steam: 1) You can now "complete" bundles and still benefit from their discount, even if you already own part of the bundle. 2) The Premium Edition now includes the Spellcraft & Wizardry DLC, but not the Founder's Pack, which makes it easier to get the best possible offer. 3) (Only until June 17th) With Premium Edition updates and the launch discount still active, you can get the full package, for less than $3 more than the default base game price of $24.99.
Free Founder's Pack DLC I know many of you have already discovered this, but to make it official, the Founder's Pack is now permanently free for all players as part of the release celebration (active since June 3rd, 2026). To claim access, please register here. The Ultimate Edition still remains as an optional supporter edition. Player Survey Results Thank you all for participating in the recent player survey. To my surprise the voting results sit at exactly 50%. Even with one percent more or less on either side, it becomes obvious that there is no clear consensus on this topic in the community. Based on your specific feedback and the outcome of this survey, I have decided to focus my efforts on the Infinity Update, something that all players will benefit from. You will even get a little bit of magic in the form of arcane enchantments for your weapons.

Update June 11th, 2026: Thank you all so much for participating in the survey and openly sharing your feedback. If you are interested in the survey results and the actions I took in response. Please refer to this post for more information. Original Post: I have received a lot of feedback on the recently released Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion. I would have happily reduced the scope of the magic expansion and made it part of the base game if I had correctly anticipated your feedback. Unfortunately, this was not the case. But I take your feedback very seriously and would like to provide you with a possible solution. For this reason I have created a super short survey to evaluate your thoughts on the solution I have proposed below: The only feasible solution I can offer at this point is adding spell scrolls and scroll crafting to the base game. With this, you would have access to all spells of the expansion, and it would also align well with the otherwise melee and ranged combat focus of the game. At the same time, the expansion would still offer a large amount of new content. In case you didn't know, the Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion adds much more than just a magic system. For more information, please refer to the store page. Please note that this still isn't trivial to implement, given this feature is deeply integrated with the magic expansion, but I am willing to take the effort if enough players can accept this as a compromise for the request to have magic be part of the base game. I am also open for any constructive feedback on how to improve upon this solution. Before you suggest anything outside of my proposed solution, though, please kindly read about why other solutions that have been brought up to me are not feasible to avoid repetition. Please click here to share your feedback on the solution I have elaborated above. Thank you so much for your time! Why are other solutions not feasible? Making the whole expansion part of the base game is unfortunately not a feasible solution. A large number of players have already purchased and enjoyed the expansion. Making it part of the base game now would be unfair to those who chose to buy it and support development. Refunding those purchases also doesn't lie within my possibilities as a developer on Steam. Besides, I also cannot magically (pun not intended) make the production costs for this rather large expansion go away. Please note that the Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion was a substantial investment with many months of development costs, four professionally voiced characters, and a translation into 5 languages. This might not sound like much to you, coming from AAA games, but it is a very significant investment for a small solo-indie developer like me.
IMPORTANT: The purpose of this post is to discuss solutions only. If you want to vent or participate in the general debate surrounding this topic, please refer to the pinned posts I have specifically created for this purpose: Why is Magic part of an expansion? https://steamcommunity.com/app/1546090/discussions/0/572665855469489856 Why are there two DLC at launch? https://steamcommunity.com/app/1546090/discussions/0/572665855469490515

The final RAIDBORN release countdown has just started. After over 7 years of restless development, the game will finally release into 1.0 coming Wednesday June 3rd, 2026 together with the long-awaited Legacy Update and the much-anticipated Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion. Visit the Countdown Page and explore the epic new features that await you, including not only a deep dive into the upcoming Legacy Update, but also into the Spellcraft & Wizardy expansion. New posts will unlock every day leading up to launch, so don’t miss out! There's so much to discover.
Adventureres, the time has finally come. Today I am excited to reveal the RAIDBORN 1.0 Release Date, as well as the mysterious addition formerly known as Project Lux. After years of development and countless adventures, RAIDBORN will officially reach 1.0 on June 3rd, 2026. Please note that this is only a first glimpse, and that much more will be revealed in the coming days and weeks.
The Legacy Update will arrive with major improvements and additions across the entire game, while the previously secret Project Lux has now been unveiled as the Spellcraft & Wizardry expansion, bringing much-requested magic to the world of RAIDBORN. Thank you all for your incredible support throughout this journey. I can't wait for you to experience the full release and step into this new era of RAIDBORN.
🎈 Today is RAIDBORN's third anniversary! That is three years of slaying monsters, conquering dungeons, and building something epic together. Thank you for being a part of it. To celebrate, I have prepared not only the yearly in-game event but also an extensive post with exciting insights into the upcoming 1.0 Legacy Update. ✨ As every year, a group of mysterious bards has gathered in the city of Everband to perform an epic live concert. Visit before April 12th, when the event ends, and experience a night of unforgettable entertainment right at the marketplace stage. Raise your tankard high and revel in the joyous atmosphere of celebration. 🎁 Register for free DLC and receive the secret code to also embark on a quest to obtain RAIDBORN's legendary five-piece equipment set. Only available until the 12th of April when the event ends (or if you bought the Founder's Pack DLC).
Now, onto what I have been working on for the Legacy Update. I won't be talking about the mysterious yet-unannounced Project Lux just yet, but I will reveal that more information will be shared this year in early May, so stay tuned. Here is what I can actually talk about. As you might have noticed, the new enemy types added in the Adventure Update have more complexity and depth because they feature a larger variety of (combat) behaviors. In RAIDBORN every species has a boss and mini boss class. With the original set of enemies, only their boss class has a unique special ability or behavior. Besides, all enemy ties prior to the Adventure Update basically share the same two mini boss classes. With the release of the Legacy Update, I would like to remedy this situation and give the original enemy types an equal amount of care and variety by attacking from two angles: 1) Unique mini bosses for every one of the 6 original enemy species (Skeletons, Hungers, Zombies, Goblins, Boggarts, Orcs). 2) Improved mechanics for existing bosses to be more readable, challenging, and ultimately fun.
The Hunger Behemoth, for example, absorbed damage from nearby allies. While interesting in theory, it didn't have much impact during actual combat. So I instead designed the new spitting ability you can see in the GIF above. It leaves an infectious puddle on the ground and deals a significant amount of damage. This way his ability becomes more direct, dangerous, and skill-based. The philosophy behind the changes is to ensure the abilities are clearly readable, have a direct impact, and are counterable by the player. This provides the most meaningful impact on the gameplay experience. In the case of Boggarts and Orcs, I have degraded their current bosses to mini bosses and added new giant enemies with unique abilities to the top of their hierarchy, namely the Boggart Troll and the Orc Goliath.
Another area that received some attention is the points of interest (also known as event or question mark locations). These small, handcrafted event locations belong to the most memorable RAIBORN has to offer. For this reason I have added three completely new points of interest. Explore new fun and unexpected adventures and claim legendary rewards. Here is a first glimpse of what you can expect. Deep in the forest, you come across this small goblin sanctuary. Instead of attacking you on sight, they do something unexpected. They let you approach, even talk to you. What could a filthy pack of Goblins want from you? How are they different than other goblins? There's only one way to find out when the Legacy Update releases later this year.
In the heat of development and timelines, I unfortunately had to cut some features I had planned for the Legacy Update, but I am trying to make up for it with some more lightweight but still very fun additions like the new arrow types you can see in action in the video below. But don't worry, most of the cut features will find their way into the game sooner or later. They just won't fit into the Legacy Update. But make no mistake, this update will still be huge, and I am cooking up a lot of cool things behind the scenes I haven't announced yet.
🎃 Greetings Adventurers! Get ready for this year's spine-tingling Halloween event. From today to November 3rd, the city and your home will be wrapped in a wonderfully eerie atmosphere, featuring spooky decorations and a special themed soundtrack. There will also be an accompanying sale here on Steam. 👻 Additionally, registered players will gain access to an exclusive, time-limited Halloween quest featuring the perfectly fitting reward for the season.

I am excited to present what is planned for the LEGACY UPDATE, the final chapter in the RAIDBORN's Early Access journey. This update will tie up loose ends, flesh out existing systems, and add new content where it is most needed, giving the game its final touches. With the release of this update, the game will become what I envisioned almost 8 years ago. After nearly a decade of development, this update marks not only a huge milestone for the community but also one of the most important accomplishments in my life as a game developer. But that's not all. Alongside this final update, I am working on PROJECT LUX, a secret and mysterious addition arriving together with the 1.0 release. Stay tuned for more as the clouds of mystery begin to lift. Speculations are welcome! Please Note: For regular development updates please join the Discord. Features with a leading ? are optional. They might be cut if they turn out to not fit into my vision or the development schedule. EQUIPMENT:

A month has passed since my last post, so I thought it is time for a sign of life. I am happy to announce that the Adventure Update is finally taking shape and getting closer to release! While I don't have a firm release date yet, I am planning to launch a public beta around mid-July. Make sure to join my Discord to get access.
Feature-wise, the update is nearly complete, but I still need to do some internal testing and add more variety to the three new dungeon types. Creating enough variants for each dungeon is proving to be a time-consuming (and sometimes tedious) task.
That's why I've decided to release the beta once I have reached a minimum viable number of dungeon variants for testing.
This way, you will get early access to the new content, and your feedback can help shape the final form of the update, while I am busy adding all that juicy content. Thanks for your patience and support.
In case you haven't already make sure to check my last post which teases some of the epic new features and additions coming with the long-awaited Adventure Update.
