Instant Startup

The program no longer freezes at startup. We have completely eliminated the 4-5 second "not responding" freeze experienced during the first launch — the application is ready to use in seconds.

• Contextual Integrity: The translation engine now remembers not only the current sentence, but also previous sentences. Thus, ongoing conversations and pronouns are translated fluently and accurately in context — without losing any speed.

• Status Indicator: There is now a status light on the voice translation page. Green means running, yellow is initializing, and red means stopped. Understand the state of the system at a single glance.

• Initializing Information: When you start voice translation, "initializing" information appears on the screen while the engine is preparing. Now you don't have to wonder "did it start?" — you are informed even if your notifications are turned off.

• Font Size Adjustment: You can now increase or decrease the subtitle font size as you wish.

• Full Personalization: Customize the background color, text color, font, and transparency of the subtitle bubble according to your taste, just like in other translation modes.

• Model Quality Selection: Choose between Fast, Balanced (recommended), or High Quality models depending on your needs.

• Show Previous Sentence: If you wish, see the previous translation faded at the top, never miss a sentence.

• Lines belonging to the same paragraph are now merged into a single, clean bubble; headings and separate columns no longer mix.

• Translation bubbles fit perfectly over the text, overflow and overlapping issues have been resolved.

• Since the application does not perform unnecessary scans when the screen does not change, CPU usage has decreased significantly — your games run smoother.

New Window Design

Borderless, modern window: Instead of the standard Windows title bar, we designed our own — logo + application name in the top center, custom minimize / maximize / close buttons on the right (close button turns red on hover). Draggable from the title bar, double-click to maximize, resizable from the corners.

Interface & Appearance

Modern color picker: Color/brightness square + hue slider + hex input box + preset colors.

Notes are now written in the theme color (orange in Carbon, blue in Graphite, etc.).

System tray right-click menu is now compatible with the selected theme.

Language selection list no longer covers the entire screen; it opens in a fixed size, scrollable window from where it is clicked.

Opacity slider knob is no longer cut off, works smoothly; fixed stuttering while dragging.

Languages

Favorite language system: A ❤ next to each language in the list — click to make it a favorite (red) and move it to the top; quick access for long lists.

Full Screen Translation

Instead of many small boxes, each text block is shown in a neat bubble above its position.

"Translating..." indicator: A modern indicator in the top right of the active monitor while waiting for translation (can be toggled on/off).

Instant Subtitle

The subtitle box is now draggable, its position is permanently remembered, and a "reset position" button has been added.

Fixed box jumping and stuttering (stable position + opacity-based capturing).

OCR (Screen Capture)

Background opacity fixed — OCR now has a separate, independent opacity setting.

Modern bubble (rounded corners, shadowed text), transparency works correctly.

OCR speeded up (downscaling large regions + discarding unnecessary data).

Performance & Startup

Heavy translation modules not used at startup are not loaded → faster startup.

Interface:

• The entire interface has been migrated from Tkinter to modern PySide6.

• Win11-style dark theme (Graphite • Blue): rounded cards, shadows, modern combobox/buttons/scrollbars.

• 8 setting pages rewritten: Quick Translation Modes, OCR, Full Screen, Subtitle, Audio, Offline, API Settings, Logs.

• Logo support added to the top-left corner.

Themes (New)

• New Themes page: Graphite, Nord, Dracula, Midnight, Carbon, Light.

• Theme is applied instantly and saved (palette-based system).

User Manual (New)

• User Manual page added inside the app.

• Scope: API setup, Quick Translation, OCR, Instant Subtitles, Full Screen, Audio, Offline, Appearance/Themes, Logs + tips.

Instant Subtitle Improvements

• Latency reduced: idle scanning max 100ms, active scanning 30ms→20ms, fast mode duration 5s→8s (fixed the slow loading issue after long intervals).

• Loss of meaning fixed: blur-cache threshold 0.85→0.96, similarity skip 0.85→0.93 (prevented incorrect/outdated translations from showing).

• "Show previous sentence on top" feature added: previous translation is displayed in a separate, faded box above the main box. (Disabled by default; enable in Settings → Instant Subtitles.)

OCR Translation Improvements

• List → paragraph issue fixed: lines are merged only if they are a continuation of a real sentence (list items remain separate).

• Single region → 2 bubbles / overlap fixed: now displayed in a single bubble, preserving the line structure.

Full Screen Translation

• Bubble flickering/overlapping in frequent scans resolved (overlay is not redrawn unless content changes).

OpenAI / API Fixes

• OpenAI + OCR was completely broken, fixed: backward-compatible context parameter added to translate_text, None error in batch resolved.

• OpenAI errors are now written to the Logs page (shows quota/model/key reasons).

• Clients automatically restart and refresh language lists when the API key changes.

Performance

• Overlay sub-process no longer loads unnecessary libraries.

• OCR thread count limited (default core/2, max 4) — reduced CPU pressure during gaming.

• Fixed pool (ThreadPoolExecutor) instead of spawning a new thread per translation + early stale-skip: eliminated wasted API calls and thread churn (retaining quality and speed).

• Live Subtitle "Text Stacking" (Feedback Loop) Bug Fixed: Resolved a critical issue in the Live Subtitle mode where the translated text overlay was being re-read by the OCR engine, causing a chaotic loop of accumulating words.

\ Real-Time System Logs (In-App Diagnostic Console) We’ve listened to community feedback! We have added a brand new system that allows you to see exactly how your API and translation processes are working in the background.

• New 'Logs' Tab: Added a new "Logs" (📋) tab inside the Settings menu (located under API Settings).

• Instant Error Tracking: If an error occurs during translation (e.g., invalid API key, quota exceeded, network disconnect), the exact reason is now immediately displayed in detailed, red-colored text.

• Transparent Processes: You can now see step-by-step which API provider is being used, the character counts of your translations, and exactly when the system switches to a "Fallback" engine if a primary provider fails.

• Clean Slate: For better performance and simplicity, the log console only records the current session. Whenever you restart the application, the logs are completely cleared, ensuring no unnecessary memory bloat.

• DeepL, Google & OpenAI Executable Bug Fixed: Resolved a critical bug where the .exe version of the application would fail to detect DeepL, Google, and OpenAI translation engines (even with valid API keys), forcing the system to unnecessarily fall back to MyMemory. Your premium APIs will now work at full capacity!

⚡ Dynamic Active Mode: The application now speeds up when there is action on the screen and rests when there is no text. The result? Maximum speed, minimum system usage.

🧠 AI-Powered Detection: We don't scan in vain if the image on the screen hasn't changed. We've significantly reduced CPU usage, so it won't cause FPS drops in your games anymore.

💾 Smart Cache: We store a previously translated sentence in memory. When the same dialogue appears again, we bring it to the screen in milliseconds without using your internet.

1. Fixed Positioning

- Issue: The subtitle bubble would jump to different parts of the screen when the text changed (jitter).

- Solution: The positioning logic has been completely overhauled. The bubble now stays fixed relative to the selected area's position (above if at the bottom, below if at the top). "Above Text" and "Below Text" settings now work stably.

2. Horizontal Expansion

- Issue: With long text, the bubble would grow vertically, obscuring the game screen.

- Solution: The bubble now expands horizontally instead of vertically. As the text gets longer, the window opens to the sides (up to 80% of the screen width), preserving your vertical field of view.

3. Auto-Scaling Font

- Issue: The bubble remained unnecessarily large even for short text, or the text didn't fit in the box.

- Solution: Font size is now dynamic! The text automatically shrinks to fit inside your selected box (from 20pt down to 10pt). The box only expands if it doesn't fit even at the smallest size. This ensures the most ideal and compact view at all times.

Hello! With this update, we've solved one of the biggest challenges in Screen Capture (OCR) translation: how to accurately translate both long paragraphs and itemized lists at the same time.

• It analyzes punctuation at the end of each line (., ?, !, etc.) to determine if a sentence is complete.

• If the sentence continues, it merges the lines to preserve the paragraph's flow.

• If it's a separate item, like in a menu, it keeps it separate to preserve its structure.

• Fluent Paragraphs: Sentences are no longer broken across lines. They are translated as a single, coherent block, preserving their natural flow and meaning.

• Accurate Lists: Menus, in-game stats, or any itemized text are translated flawlessly, with each entry handled individually.

• Structural Intelligence: No matter the format of the on-screen text, the app now intelligently adapts to provide the most accurate translation possible.
