Greetings, everyone!
Zombie apocalypse can be rather crazy at times, so we’ve partnered with Dambuster Studios to add characters from Dead Island 2 to Quarantine Zone. There is nothing like throwing a little chaos into the mix.
Please welcome Amanda Styles, Curtis Sinclair, Roxanne Kwon, Burt Michaels, and Rikky Rex to the checkpoint!
Each of these new survivors comes with a quest connected to their backstory for you to explore. There is more - we’ve also added over a dozen new custom survivors with different quirks about them for you to screen when they try to get through.
Update is available NOW!

Today is April Fool's Day. A day of jokes, pranks, and sometimes even outright lies. But not here, not at the Quarantine Zone. With every decision being life-or-death, we don't have time for foolin' around. We're serious.
Being this serious comes with a lot of stress. We've come to find that the best way to relieve built-up stress is to get away from it all. A little vacation. Even during the zombie apocalypse, a nice trip is all you need to melt away those problems.
So consider this your permission to take some time off. We heard Georgie has a trip coming up too. Maybe you could join him? At least we think it's a vacation. He's still wearing his hazmat suit so... maybe not. He keeps saying something about "going back to the place where it all started".
Not sure what that's about. Actually yeah, could you please follow him?
Hello, everyone! Before we dip out for the weekend, we've got one more quick hit of news for you: The Steam Spring Sale brings yet another amazing zombie deal. We are happy to announce that we've partnered with the fine folks at Techland to offer a special Quarantine Zone x Dying Light 2 discount bundle - available now for a limited time!
Before this bundle, players were forced to decide whether they wanted to leap across rooftops or stick to the quarantined streets. Those who wanted to do both had to pay a pretty penny to make it happen. But thanks for this TREMENDOUS BRAND SYNERGY, you can grab both of these undead titles at an unbelievable price.
Pick up the Quarantine Zone x Dying Light 2 Bundle today and watch the survival savings stack up.

Hello, everyone!
Here's another patch for Quarantine Zone. We are trying a slightly different structure to the notes, which should improve the readability. Tell us what you think in the comments. The team is already in full-scale work for the first major update to the game, which we can't wait to show you and what we have in store for the immediate future of Quarantine Zone. In the meantime, we'll continue working on fixes for the game, albeit at a somewhat slower pace. Without further ado, the patchnotes:
Opening the Tablet immediately after using the Matioscope no longer causes a softlock
Opening the pause menu a few times during the first cutscene caused the playable character to become unable to move
On Day 8, players were able to send the first survivor to the living block before the tutorial started, which prevented further progression
The quarantine area cannot be cleared until the tutorial from the "Hi, doggy" bulletin board task is finished
The paint stains on the vandal's clothes do not appear if the flashlight is turned on prior to the playable character entering the Survivor's Block during the "Ask your mom" bulletin board task
The final dialogue in the quest "Hi, doggy", in certain cases, used to be unskippable
Text during dialogue skipping remained on the screen for too long compared to the time it takes for the character to finish speaking their line
Detector previously wasn’t correctly notifying players when any of the survivors possessed either drugs or weapons
Mathiascope-related symptoms did not appear in survivors sent to quarantine when they should have
The bulletin board tutorial previously incorrectly stated that there are Major and George tasks, but George's tasks are no longer included in the title
Dans Gaming cameo no longer spawns as early as Day 10, preventing the player from encountering symptoms that have not yet been discovered
Survivors no longer perform the backpack removal animation without wearing a backpack if the animation was interrupted
The survivor's backpacks no longer have an invisible collision wall, which used to make them bulletproof
Soldiers from the Security Tower are no longer standing in an A-pose
Getting up from the crouching position while standing on the lab's bed no longer causes the playable character to be unable to move
Double-clicking the generator's power button no longer turns it off without providing any indication of its status
"Interacting with the cart while looking at it previously caused several issues:
The body bag is inside -> the Player cannot exit the cart while looking at it.
The cart is empty -> when the Player enters the cart, exits, and re-enters while constantly looking at it, they will not be able to jump anymore."
Performance - Walking into the Soldier collectable in the Garage area causes significant framerate drops
Updated physics for extracted organs in the science lab
Optimised lighting in the quarantine

Hello, everyone!
This past month was a blast for us, and we’d like to thank you, the players, as we would not have reached this point without your support, your wishlists, and playing the demo first and the release second. You are the best!
As the song by John Paul Young goes - Love is in the air, we’d like to celebrate both the one month since the release of our game, and the upcoming St.Valentines day.
And by combining the two events, we share our love for the game we’ve been working on for over a year and our appreciation for the community, by including small bits and pieces that reference the Valentine’s Day holiday. They will be temporarily available in the game for the next two weeks STARTING ON FEBRUARY 14TH. But even after the event has finished, you can turn the decorations on again using Settings -> Gameplay, like the New Year decorations. And that is not all - we’ve added a small, extra bit of content, which you hopefully will find enjoyable, if you find the new inhabitant of the checkpoint - take a screenshot and tell us what you think by tagging us on X/Twitter or BlueSky.
We are already starting preliminary work on the first big content update, but can’t share all the details just yet. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks. We’ll share more as soon as we can!
Thank you again for staying with us, sharing your feedback and thoughts on the game!

Hello!
The next patch for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check brings the most important update of the recent times - a cat-antistress, as our big thank you from the development team to the community.
Cat is neither infected, nor does it bite, but it reacts to your actions.
You can toggle it (as well as new gloves) in Main Menu → Settings — in case you want to play shift with no purring employee at the checkpoint.
We wanted to express our appreciation for everyone who keeps following the game, and, as part of the usual patch with fixes, we are adding two things:
Your new feline companion can be found at the entrance to the checkpoint or at your quarters. You can interact with the cat by using your tools and you can also pet it!
Gloves. There was a valid question raised previously - why is the main character the only one who wears fingerless gloves in a potentially hazardous environment? Now you can equip a brand new pair of sterile gloves for safety.
Added cat to checkpoint
Added glove skin, which can be selected in the main menu
Added an option to adjust gamepad sensitivity in Settings
Fixed day 13 bulletin board task softlock
Fixed evacuation info notification (it could, in some cases, show -1 day on the next day after the evacuation)
Fixed temperature displaying as Fahrenheit instead of Celsius when opening the symptoms tab in the lab
Fixed the survivors’ profiles issue that caused duplicate symptoms to appear in the same slots
Fixed the Steam Deck issue that caused the cursor to disappear during base building tutorial
Fixed Tablet issue: right trigger on the controller and left mouse button no longer incorrectly trigger the tool in hand
Removed notification prompting players to go to sleep right after they wake up
Removed the players’ ability to switch between tools when accessing the tablet
Our team will continue to address the issues in further updates to the game. The fixes for issues such as not being able to run after using the lab or FOV on ultrawide screens are in the works, but they take time to make sure they will fix the issue for all players. We keep an eye out for any of the information that you share with us both here on the Steam Community Forum and on our other social media, including our Discord community.

It's true - you never know who will pass through your checkpoint. Today's free content update introduces some of gaming's most iconic horror survivors: Dwight Fairfield, Meg Thomas, Claudette Morel, and Jake Park from Behaviour Interactive’s multiplayer horror phenomenon Dead By Daylight! This crew has been confronted with some of horror's most frightening foes, so surely they know how to act when coming through your checkpoint, right? Only one way to find out. The Dead by Daylight survivors come automatically as a part of the latest update for all players of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, randomly working into the rotation of survivors approaching the checkpoint. NOTE: Dead by Daylight survivors can only be encountered by starting a new game. Players continuing existing saves will not encounter these characters. An update to introduce these characters to existing saves is coming soon!
To celebrate this infectious collaboration, don't forget about the Dead by Daylight x Quarantine Zone Steam bundle! Existing Dead by Daylight owners can save an additional 10% off Quarantine Zone (on top of the existing 10% launch discount!).
Added Dead By Daylight themed background to the main menu
Added four unique Dead By Daylight survivors
NOTE: Dead by Daylight survivors can only be encountered by starting a new game. Players continuing existing saves will not encounter these characters. An update to introduce these characters to existing saves is coming soon!

In the meantime, our team is hard at work on addressing the issues highlighted by our player community. We value the time and effort you take to share your thoughts and feedback on the game.
Hi there Quarantine Zone fans!
What a whirlwind the past couple of days have been, huh? Since the game’s launch earlier this week, you’ve inspected thousands of survivors, mowed down millions of zombies, and performed each and every one of your assigned duties to the best of your ability. We’re overwhelmed by the amount of support we’ve received here on Steam, in the official Quarantine Zone Discord, and on social media worldwide. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for playing Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
The reaction we’ve received from our community is nothing short of stunning. We’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who has given Quarantine Zone a chance, from folks who’ve shared that this is their very first PC game purchase, to the vigilant bug reporters keeping us in the loop, to Twitch streamers big and small who’ve played the game using QZ’s Twitch integration. Heck, even the Steam forum posters arguing that the scanner should work on underwear. We see you, we hear you, it is not something we can fix.
What we CAN fix are bugs, and we’re working hard to make sure we can squash as many as possible. You’ve done a great job letting us know about bugs via the Bug Reporting Subforum - our team is hard at work combing your reports, implementing fixes, and pushing out patches to ensure Quarantine Zone: The Last Check will only ever improve in quality with every future update.
Speaking of future updates, we’d be remiss if this blog post didn’t end with a tease at things to come. We can’t quite get into the specifics, but we’re happy to share that new content for Quarantine Zone will be revealed very soon. Very VERY soon. Like… it’s ridiculous how soon this content will be revealed. Stay tuned.
That just about covers it! Thank you once again for all of your support thus far. If you’ve enjoyed your time with Quarantine Zone so far, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could leave a Steam Review. With that, we leave with our newest trailer featuring tips & tricks directly from the developers at Brigada Games. Here are the Ten Things You Need to Know About Quarantine Zone:

We worked directly with both a professional studio and multiple freelance actors to ensure that each line was delivered exactly as intended. No generative AI is used in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
Our team will be looking forward to your feedback and reviews to see which direction we should consider taking the game next, as we finish planning our post-launch content roadmap. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping track of any bug reports and promptly working on fixing any issues that managed to slip past us during pre-release polishing, and we’ll be available to you to try and troubleshoot any issues that might come up.
See you at the checkpoint!
