Changes

• Chain from the Thick and Thin curse now breaks if either of the players die.
• Players now teleport together if they're chained together
• Some small changes for the loudness/quality of the round end burning scream sounds, changed the one for shadow to reflect its appearance more.

  • Customize your skill tree build each round by choosing from randomized perks, with some new gamemode exclusive ones.
  • Adapt to different game altering curses each round
  • Exorcise different ghosts and experience different maps each round as the difficulty ramps up
  • Exfil to leave and bank your rewards or continue at the risk of dying and getting reduced rewards (Exfil is available every 5 rounds)

• Drowned ghost balance
  • Changed Drowned to be slightly more visible in the dark

• Miasma Rework
  • Visual rework. Miasma now looks like red mist that only allow you to see around. This will make it more imposing and also less nauseating than earlier looks
  • Threat hotspot Miasma will now have an increased chance of enemy encounter, whether enemies spawn there or ghosts frequent that area as they roam the premise, you have to be very careful from Miasma!
  • Threat buff Miasma buffs ghosts to be slightly faster.
  • Considered as a dark room Miasma will always be considered as a dark room such as for Sanity or by the Shadow
  • Rebalance Miasma is now back to being a little more common
• Skill Tree Reworks
  • Zay Hound tree Reworked Tell Tail Sign into Pawsession which allows Zay to press Q and take control of Cupcake, scouting the areas and pressing RMB to sniff around for items. (You can also emote!!!)
  • Zay Hound tree Sentinel is now the second major node, but will also be reworked soon
  • Nyx Seer tree Demonologist replaced by Clairvoyence, allowing Nyx players to RMB on any detected enemy and show them to her allies.
  • Nyx Librarian tree Cursed Items revealed to Nyx by Occult Collector now stay revealed to her any time she opens the book. There is now an upper limit on how many she can reveal per game.
  • Nyx Librarian tree Demonologist node added as a minor node near the end of the tree
• Twins' Annette now requires to be comforted with interact instead of just getting close.
• Reworked the Unknown difficulty modifier Minighost Galore to increase minighost spawn frequency not spawn multiples of the same type, which is how it used to work
• Added a game summary timer to show how long the exorcist took (Go go speedrunners)

• Curse sensor reworked to sense cursed items in a sizeable radius around player not room specific anymore. This helps it become less OP and create an element of guess work where you can calculate the position of the item by moving around or using it for exclusion.
• Nyx can now see the Poltergeist with her ability
• Adjusted the volume of a few sounds in lobby such as vending kick or doll easter egg
• You now can't use abilities or look at cooldown watch after picking up a poltergeist

• Lobbies now generate IDs others can paste to join (can be found in pause menu inside the lobby)
• Changed the Default sanity effect to something less nausea inducing. The default has been changed to become the Alternative. You can switch between them in settings.

  • Added hint in Reaper description to it being able to go outside
  • Reaper now slightly shows in the dark
  • Reaper is unlikely to mark someone in early game.

Progression Update v0.6.0

Changes

• Character levels and skill tree with a LOT of content You can now level each character by playing with it to gain SP, then use that to unlock perks for the character. Nodes can range from small passives like scanning speed or stamina, to majors that change how your ability works. Make sure to check out the trees for a full overlook of the content added.
• NEW Minighost Reaper. A menace that will never let you go
• NEW Tool Lantern A chargeable magic lantern that protects you from the dark. Can be charged by slotting it into the accompanied unit.
• Added videos for new players to show which sanity feedback to choose.
• Nyx can now stop Mannequins from behind walls if she starts her ability
• Nyx can now reliably see Poltergeist
• Grabber reworked in solo to let go player after a duration
• Charms now only consume if they stop a haunt, otherwise they come back with you if you're still alive
• Hex Doll now activates automatically if its in your inventory and protects you from death.
• Some backend reworks. Now we can do things like double XP events without pushing any update patches!

Fixes

• Fixed the invisible mimic bug
• Fix spamming escape button breaking challenges and menu
• Fix some UI showing behind each other in main menu
• Implemented a lot more foolproofing to teleporting effects such as Hanged Man or Green fire
• Charm rotation in car trunk fixed
• Fix for buggy lightswitch sometimes having green indicator while closed
• Lots of balance changes for values and behaviors to fit with the new skill tree reworks.

Planned features and known issues

• Skill tree still needs some localization work. Will be doing that in a patch soon
• We got a lot of content we couldn't squeeze in this update that's almost done. Stay tuned for a new minighost, main ghost and an extension to the skill tree's behavior!
