Freeze during the prisoner’s escape once his noise meter reached zero, fixed.
On Day 25, elves affected by Johnnyssis and placed under the UV lamp would lose their clothes... a very specific bug, now fixed.
On Day 30, the cash register receipt amount did not match the amount requested by Grandma (20,000 Francs), fixed.
The trash bin animation was centered instead of starting from its base, unlike the refusal box for example, fixed.
The achievement related to Grandma was impossible to unlock because she never appeared, fixed! Now, like other special characters, there is a small chance she will appear during your run.
Demo updated: it was still using version 1.0.0 and therefore did not include all the fixes added since release.
Some players have reported receiving fines even when the diagnosis was correct. Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce this issue despite hours of testing.
If this happens to you and you recorded your gameplay session, please attach an image showing the comparison between your prescription and the requested treatment when reporting the bug on the forum, along with any useful information that may help me identify the cause. The same applies to any difficult-to-reproduce bug.
I would also like to thank all players for the trust you have placed in my game. As an independent developer, and with Prescribe and Pray being my very first game, it is incredibly encouraging and motivating to see so many people playing and enjoying the experience.
A huge thank you as well to the many YouTubers and streamers (whatever the size of their audience) who have greatly contributed to the game’s modest success, both in France and abroad (special hello to the Spanish-speaking community, who really enjoyed the game :) ).
If the game doesn’t fade away too quickly, and if the community asks for it, I’m considering adding an endless mode later this year for the most persistent players. So stay tuned!
As for adding new languages, I’ve been asked a few times, but none are planned for now. That said, this could change if a community shows strong interest. Feel free to suggest Prescribe and Pray to your favorite streamers if that applies to you :)
Thank you, and enjoy the game, Anthony
Prescribe and Pray began development on April 1st, 2025, using Godot version 4.3.
Since then, I haven’t updated the engine, because each change brings its share of incompatibilities, despite the additions and fixes in newer versions.
However, some players experienced crashes on different days of gameplay, despite all my modifications and optimizations. So, I decided to migrate to a more stable version of Godot. Version 4.3 could have issues with AMD configurations.
This is the biggest change in this update, because although most of the game seems unaffected, I had to readapt some systems. Hopefully, the game will run better for everyone!
Document opening has been modified to no longer cause freezes when creating a document on low-end configurations.
Similarly, document selection could still cause problems on some configurations, resulting in multiple annoying openings, fixed.
When closing a document with right-click, the top document in the stack was not always the one closed, fixed.
Shader for scene fade transitions has been rewritten. Less resource-intensive, but just as functional.
Resetting the piggy bank! With each new piggy bank, the first bill inserted sometimes displayed the previous balance in addition to the new amount. Sorry, but this is now fixed :)
Pepito was not considered "dead" in certain cases. From now on, if you prescribe him a harmful medicine, you will not receive the mission payment.
As you can see, this update is focused on optimization. I noticed a significant improvement in framerate on my old laptop.
Feel free to discuss it on the forum. I’m a solo developer and don’t have access to a wide range of hardware to test every change. I only have you :)
Every piece of feedback is valuable, good or bad.
And once again, if you enjoy the game, please consider leaving a review.
Already 2,000 players, but very few are willing to share their experience, which makes it harder when the negative minority takes over.
Thank you, and enjoy the game, Anthony
End-of-game summary corrected. Most values were stuck at “0” due to an incorrect variable name, now fixed.
The cursor was sometimes inconsistent and wouldn’t switch to the “Finger” icon when it should, fixed.
More issues with unintended document openings on certain configurations, fixed.
Overlapping banknotes at the start of the day. Sometimes they would rearrange themselves when hovering over them; this should now be handled properly at launch.
Fines received even when the correct treatment was given! Rare, but I managed to reproduce it (once). It should now be fixed (to be confirmed).
Regarding the end-of-day crash, I modified several scripts that may still have been called after the scene change. I don’t currently see any other possible source explaining the issue. Fortunately, this only affects a very small number of players, but I’m doing everything I can to resolve it completely.
If you enjoy the game, feel free to leave a review 🙂
Enjoy the game, Anthony
Some players were able to fix their crash issues by playing in windowed mode, so I’ve changed how fullscreen works. Hopefully the game will now run properly for everyone.
If the crash was caused by the “End of Day” button, it should no longer happen. I’ve added additional safeguards.
Added a new NPC “repair” system to prevent missing data that could sometimes occur in older save files, which could cause invisibility issues — or worse.
When exiting the blood pressure monitor after turning the patient “red,” they would not return to their original color. This has been fixed.
A new “Clock Speed” option has been added to slow down time for those who need it. By default, the value remains at 1.0 and can go down to 0.5 (time moves at half speed).
Replaced “W” with “F” for gender display in the English translation.
When changing language, the first and last name on the ID card could become misaligned. Fixed.
Added a delay before the dialogue bubble reappears after a “rear” auscultation. It feels more visually comfortable now (or maybe it was just bothering me).
Fixed an unwanted noise in the intro during the rabbit eating sound.
Several minor issues with no major impact have also been fixed.
It has now been one week since Prescribe and Pray was released!
Sales and positive feedback have exceeded my expectations, thank you all for that.
If you enjoy the game, please consider leaving a review. Many fixes have been implemented to provide the best experience possible, and some negative reviews have not been updated despite these improvements.
Enjoy the game,
Anthony

Various minor quality-of-life improvements
Thank you for continuing to play, for wishlisting the game, and of course for buying it ^^
If you’re enjoying the game, feel free to leave a review, I truly appreciate it in advance.
Anthony
Dialogue bubble not disappearing when a patient leaves, fixed
Dialogue bubble sometimes still visible after using a tool, fixed

Patient no longer reacts to tools after a refusal or a treatment (prevents transition issues where the patient would leave half-naked…)
Multiple stability fixes related to potential null variables (possible crash cause)
Finger-shaped cursor stuck permanently under certain conditions, fixed
Added finger-shaped cursor for the refusal box
Documents unintentionally thrown into the trash without being nearby, fixed
“Light reflection” texture (symptom of a specific disease) sometimes incorrect, fixed

It was a long day, but I hope these efforts will allow players who experienced stability issues to enjoy the game more smoothly!
Thank you for your feedback and your patience,
Anthony
Office scroll button becoming invisible after several “slaps”, fixed
Interactions sometimes blocked by dialogue bubbles, fixed
Faulty blood pressure monitor resetting to zero, fixed
Possible fix for black screen issues — to be confirmed
Patient disappearing after using a tool, fixed
“Sick leave” anomaly triggered when the patient didn’t need one, fixed
Books overlapping after multiple open/close actions, fixed
The surgeon will now only appear starting from Day 4, to keep the first days calmer
Added sound effects for the blood pressure monitor when entering and leaving the ear
Slightly faster fade transitions between scene changes
Thank you for your feedback and your patience,
Anthony
Some additional fixes:
Overlapping books; fixed
NPC reactions to “slaps” and their consequences; fixed
Black screen at the start of a new day; hopefully, we won’t hear about this again! Thanks to the players who took the time to send me their save files so I could track down the cause. Waiting for confirmation from those affected.
Thank you for your feedback and your patience, Anthony
The 1.0.2 update introduced a new issue, which is fixed here:
Blocking dialogue bubble
Death photo in the newspaper not displaying after a restart
Thank you for your feedback.
Hello,
Here is a new patch that hopefully includes a fix for the black screen issue some players were experiencing:
“End of Day” button fixed (waiting for confirmation on the forum)
Achievements now unlock instantly instead of only when closing the game
The scroll button on the desk could disappear, fixed
A special character could not appear on Day 22, fixed
Some remaining issues with dialogue bubbles, fixed
Game Over not triggering under certain conditions, fixed
Various very minor issues have also been addressed
I invite you to post in the forum’s bug report thread to confirm whether this update has resolved your issue, or to report any other problems.
Regarding the demo, I understand that some issues may still affect certain players. It will be updated once the most critical problems have been fully and reliably fixed in the full version of the game. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you, Anthony
Hello,
Following your feedback, I’ve fixed several issues that could block some players. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to reproduce most of the reported bugs, so please don’t hesitate to let me know if any issues persist.
Overly long passwords in German that could block progression on Day 10 have been replaced
Unintended opening of posters when selecting another element
Black screen after loading a scene, fixed
Dialogue bubble could close or get stuck, fixed
Issue with fines being issued for healthy patients
Other typos and collision issues
I hope these fixes resolve the problems you encountered and allow you to enjoy the game as it was meant to be played.
I’d like to remind you that I’m a solo developer, this is my very first game, and I’m doing my best to balance development with work and family life.
Thanks again for your feedback, Anthony
Hello,
It’s real! Prescribe and Pray is out today!
As a solo developer who has been working on this game for 9 months, I still can’t believe it.
I hope you’ll enjoy the humor and fun I tried to infuse into the game, sprinkled with references that may be a little obscure, mostly for a French audience, and that you’ll have a great time playing!
I will continue to release updates as needed to fix any issues or bugs that may appear. Stay tuned!
Prescribe and Pray was born from a crazy challenge: to make my very first game. I had always had Papers, Please in mind (which is truly brilliant) and an older game, Theme Hospital, which was part of my childhood (the ’90s). From this combination came the idea of a slightly crazy clinic, really strange patients, and a doctor, you, forced to do your job.
June 2025:
Even though you can already recognize the foundation of the game, a lot of progress has been made, and not just visually.
I want to thank my team:
Arnaud, for his amazing music that perfectly accompanies the game.
The testing team: Fred, Chewbacca, and Lemmy, for their exceptional dedication, spending dozens of hours hunting down every little bug.
Thank you all!
The future of the game depends on how you receive it. So:
Put on your lab coat, take your seat, and step into the craziest clinic in France!
Hello everyone,
After several months without updates, this demo version is finally ready in its most complete form yet. New features, fixes, and a faithful representation of the full game.
New major characters: Léon, the doctor next door, and Yves, the persistent but incompetent police officer, make their first appearance—planting the seeds for their future regular visits.
A hidden special character: Appearing only rarely, not everyone will encounter them. Others are available in the full game.
New music (thanks, Arnaud!)
A redesign of the title and game over screens
Save system: You can finally save your progress! Saves are compatible with the full game, allowing you to continue your playthrough later :)
Bonus rules introduced: On day 5, Management may reward you with a bonus if you meet the conditions. This one is simple, discover more in the full game.
Clearer gameplay information: For example, the “Leave” button has been renamed to “Shh, I’m thinking,” and the word “possible” has been added to symptoms in the manual.
A clearer, more concise tutorial
Many improvements have been made gradually, resulting in a much more comfortable experience. Not everything can be listed, but among others:
Click-related issues
Document movement problems
Typos and missing translations
Unloaded textures
Diagnosis errors
Options preferences not being applied
Game-breaking bugs
Thank you again for your feedback and patience. Prescribe and Pray is now in a fully playable state and faithfully captures the atmosphere and gameplay of the full game in a demo that, while limited, is dense enough to make you want to continue the adventure.

Hello,
Since the Steam Next Fest demo last October, the game has evolved significantly, grown deeper, and is now preparing for release in the near future.
I didn’t have the opportunity to share updates week after week, so I hope this message reassures those of you who already enjoyed the experience, as well as those who haven’t taken the plunge yet, and sparks your curiosity once again.
With over 2,500 additional wishlists gained during the last festival, there’s no doubt many players found the experience enjoyable, intriguing, and refreshingly original.
That’s true. You’re absolutely right.
But you haven’t seen anything yet…
The demo offered (and still offers):
5 in-game days
5 absurd diseases
3 diagnostic tools
3 key story characters
For an estimated playtime of 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the player.
A brand-new menu visual identity
31 in-game days (≈ 6 hours of gameplay)
6 diagnostic tools
6 major characters, each appearing multiple times throughout the story
Several unique (and missable) characters, all with their own backstories, moral choices, and rewards to enrich your playthroughs
Absurdity, cynicism, dark humor, and silly wordplay (especially in French)
New control rules and surveillance checkpoints to avoid sending your patients straight to the grave
A daily automatic save system (compatible with the upcoming demo update)
20+ new diseases, each stranger than the last
18 endings (including game over scenarios): Your actions and decisions will shape the path to your ending
Several achievements (work in progress)
A huge thank you to each and every one of you—players who took the time to step into my universe, added the game to their wishlist, left comments, and reported bugs or gameplay issues.
Without you, the game wouldn’t be where it is today.
Hello everyone!
This new version 0.4.4.3 brings several fixes, including some that could be blocking:
Fixed the concierge’s hat appearing over his sideburns instead of under.
Tensiometer bug fixed: the head size now correctly returns to normal during deflation.
Corrected positioning of prescriptions given to the wrong patient.
Photo anomaly: hair no longer “pops” when removed and replaced.
Buttons to close documents now work even when exactly overlapping.
Added a few new patient names for more variety.
Dialogue bubble bug fixed: bubbles no longer stay on screen and block the next patient.
Documents that always followed the mouse and blocked clicks have been fixed (to be confirmed).
Thank you again for your feedback and patience — every bug report helps make the game better!
Anthony - Nuclear Rabbits
The Steam Next Fest has just ended, and I want to sincerely thank everyone for all the support you’ve shown for Prescribe and Pray during the event. Whether you played the demo, left a review, added the game to your wishlist, or simply talked about it with others — thank you!
With this post, I’d like to share some results — where the game started, and how far the festival helped push it. Of course, Prescribe and Pray wasn’t a massive breakout success, but that was never the goal. For a small first project by a solo developer, with no community or visibility at the start, these numbers are still very encouraging in my eyes:
To prepare for the festival and gather as much feedback as possible to improve the game experience, an early demo was released on October 1st. I don’t know the exact numbers from that time, but they weren’t impressive — fewer than 300 people had added the game to their wishlist, and I had no real idea how to increase that number.
Fortunately, two well-known French streamers gave me an incredible opportunity by showcasing the demo to their audiences — Heyar, just a few days after its release, and Mynthos, about a week later, right before the festival began. I can’t thank them enough — their help brought in hundreds of additional wishlists, which made a huge difference heading into the event.
October 13, 7 PM GMT+1
884 wishlists
1,542 downloads
711 players
72 followers on the Steam page
October 20, 7 PM GMT+1
2,576 wishlists (+1,692)
4,255 downloads (+2,713)
2,623 players (+1,912)
123 followers (+51)
And already 18 reviews (94% positive)
It’s been a week full of surprises. I honestly thought I’d barely reach 1,500 total wishlists, so seeing so many people discover, comment on, and share the demo truly moved me. Your feedback (and especially your bug reports) helped the game improve significantly throughout the event.
Thank you again for all your energy and kindness. The next step is coming soon — with version 0.4.5, which should fix a few remaining issues, followed by a longer development phase that I’ll share updates about as much as possible.
Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits
Hello everyone!
This version 0.4.4.2 brings another wave of small fixes based on your feedback:
Fixed the positioning of first and last names in English (hopefully).
The clock no longer freezes after the concierge’s visit.
Adjusted overlapping dialogue bubbles and buttons on certain posters.
Fixed an issue where Monique’s photo didn’t display correctly on the ID card (hopefully!).
The doctor’s name no longer resets to “Toubib” when starting a second new game.
Various fixes for collisions, dialogue bubbles, and display history.
Optimized NPC loading for better stability.
Some bugs — like the invisible patient or the ID photo always showing Monique — are still impossible to reproduce. I’ve spent the whole day trying! If you encounter these issues, please share as many details as possible.
Thanks again for your feedback and patience — each fix makes the game a little smoother!
Anthony - Nuclear Rabbits
Hello everyone!
Thanks again for all your feedback following version 0.4.4! Many of you spotted a few small issues, and this update is here to fix them.
The day start time has been restored to 8 AM! It was mistakenly stuck at 4 PM due to some internal testing — which explains why there was only one patient per day.
The threat letter no longer disappears at the end of day 5: A rewrite of the “patient papers” system was causing the issue.
The computer buttons should now be accessible at all times: At least, I hope so — I wasn’t able to reproduce the bug myself, but everything seems to work fine during testing. I’ll be waiting for your feedback to confirm!
Thanks again for your quick and detailed reports! I especially feel bad about the time oversight, and I hope this fix will encourage you to give the demo another try.
See you soon for what’s next, Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits

Fines clarified: the name of the related illness is now shown in penalty messages when the wrong prescription is made. (Player request)
Added a new visual symptom for Baloonitis to make detection easier.
Added mustaches, a nose, and a complete redesign of Monique’s appearance.

Thank you for your feedback, bug reports, and kindness! Each update is built thanks to you — so please keep sharing your thoughts on the demo page or the forum, it really helps!
The Next Fest is ending soon, and the next update will most likely be the last one (unless major bugs appear). Until then, enjoy this new version… and try not to rack up too many fines.
See you soon, Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits

See you soon, Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits
Hello everyone,

Numerous small bugs fixed
Your feedback is invaluable! Through your messages and the few videos I’ve seen, you’ve helped make Prescribe and Pray better and better! A lot of changes and fixes came directly from your suggestions — so please, keep them coming!
See you soon for more updates, Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits
Hello everyone!
A small update for the demo has just been released (version 0.4.1) featuring:
Adjusted some shadows and visual elements to improve readability.
Fixed various bugs.
German 🇩🇪
Spanish 🇪🇸
Brazilian Portuguese 🇧🇷
A huge thank you to everyone who has already played the demo and shared their feedback — it helps me a lot in improving the experience ahead of the Steam Next Fest.
Feel free to play again in these translated versions and let me know what you think!
See you soon, Anthony – Nuclear Rabbits
This is a big step for me and my team (which is… just me), and it truly means a lot.
Available in version 0.4, the demo allows everyone to discover the gameplay and the universe of the game. It took me 6 months to reach this point, and while it is of course not perfect, it still represents a good overall impression of the game.
In order to provide a pleasant and fairly substantial experience that immerses you in the game world, you will find, among other things:
5 days of consultations, for a total playtime of about 45 minutes
A short intro presenting the story and a shady-looking character
An unexpected yet crucial management mechanic (under the desk)
A tutorial accessible in the binder so you won’t get lost
Accessibility options for your comfort (volume, toggleable auto-input, and close-document button)
An obvious reference to the French healthcare system
Humor and absurdity, but always in the context of serious work
A few hints about what’s coming next
Many have asked me if the visuals came from AI. The answer is no.
Prescribe and Pray does not use any AI-generated resources.
Steam would not allow the release of a demo without disclosing such usage.
Thank you to everyone who defended me against this unfair criticism.
Each of these things is absolutely crucial for a solo indie developer like me.
Reviews: They are important to show Steam that players are engaged, but they also help highlight issues or reassure future players.
Comments: The demo page has a dedicated section, and every piece of feedback—positive or negative—helps improve the game and the experience.
Wishlists: They are the cornerstone of visibility on Steam. If you enjoy the demo or the description, please consider adding Prescribe and Pray to your wishlist. Every wishlist helps lift the game out of invisibility.
Prescribe and Pray has entered a major turning point in its development. It is no longer just a prototype but a game in the making.
It will take part in the upcoming Steam Next Fest in October, to meet players directly.
I will continue working on the game, with regular updates polishing the demo throughout the festival.
The full release is planned for the end of this year, though a slight delay cannot be ruled out.
I look forward to sharing this adventure with you. Thank you so much for your support!
More than two weeks after this page went live, the teaser is finally here! This is a big step for me, a lone, multitasking independent developer.
I focused this teaser on gameplay so that everyone can get an idea of what Prescribe and Pray has to offer, including:
Random generation of both physical and personal patients.
The five diseases currently available and their symptoms in the game.
The examination tools available to the player in the early days and how they work.
The many ways to make mistakes when checking documents.
The ability to remove your patients' hair to better check their height despite thick hair or a swollen head.
Prescribing treatments and refusing “non-compliant” patients.
The presence of a tutorial integrated into the document holder.
The possibility of making a serious mistake leading to the immediate death of the patient.
The many bribes to accept or refuse (beware of the consequences...).
A demo should be out soon, just saying... In the meantime, if you want to play doctor in a quirky but dangerous France where every action counts, Prescribe and Pray is for you!
Be sure to add it to your wish list so you don't miss any upcoming announcements, and support an enthusiast in his endeavor.
Thank you.
