Hello guys!! Thank you again for all of your continued support and feedback! This update is a pretty big one that I am very excited to release! Of course I plan on continuing to improve PONE further! The primary focus in this patch is to add new content, improve the inventory, and better optimize the game. Below are the highlighted changes I have made to PONE:
Patch Notes:
Bug Fixes:
Patched the bug where lobbies would only allow a max of 4 people
Fixed the issue where nothing could spawn without air vents
New Content:
Added two new maps:
The market
The Rainbow Factory
Added more content to the first map (The Estate)
Added more slots to the inventory
Added two new enemies
Other:
Spawn rates now depend on player count
Future plans:
For the next big patch, I plan on adding another 2 new maps along with new additions to the current ones. I also plan on adding more items and train upgrades. The next update should not take as long as this one did. Thank you all again for your support, I really could not have done this without all of you!
Hi guys! Here are the new changes to PONE! This update is a big overhaul of the current game, featuring a lot of new content along with bug fixes! I've made so many changes that I forgot some of the bug fixes / new content I've added, so just bear with me and I will try to list all the changes that have been made! :D
Patch notes:
NEW CONTENT:
Several new additions to the map generation
New items in the shop
The infected now drop items when killed
New mission
Introduced new infection variants
Added upgrades to train cart
Added a short tutorial at the beginning
Added custom key binds
Added text chat
Added the possibility of multiple floors to generate
BUG FIXES:
Patched air vents taking people outside the map
Patched bug where some lobbies would only allow a max of four players
(I lost track of other bugs I have patched LOL)
OTHER:
Refined the enemy path finding
FUTURE PLANS:
After this patch, I will send one or two more small updates (settings customization / band aid fixes) before starting development on the full game!
I plan to continuously work on fine tuning the game based on your feedback. This update fixes many initial bugs that have been found thanks to you all! The main focus of this patch is to adjust the difficulty of the game based on enemy spawn rates, traveling to unsafe places, and enemy spawn locations. Below I have highlighted and gone into more depth about these changes.
Patch notes:
Decreased Enemy Spawnrate: Initial enemy spawnrate has been reduced and increases over time while the day plays out.
Venting is Safer: If an enemy is detected near a vent, it is unlikely that the player will vent to that location (player will be sent to a different location).
Safer Initial Spawn: It is now less likely for enemies to spawn near the initial spawn room upon the first entry. This is to help make sure the player does not immediately die when entering the mansion.
Shop Keybinds: You may navigate the shop using ‘W’, ‘S’, Up Arrow, Down Arrow, and Mouse scroll wheel. (Other shop controls remain the same)
Communication Channel: Players who have been killed can now hear the player they are spectating.
Day length: Increased the length of each day
Bug Fixes:
Patched inventory duplication bug
Patched deathcom bugs
Patched map generation bugs
Removed player collisions
Removed “soft lock” when a player is killed while healing
Adjusted sell price to match buy price of certain items
Future plans:
The next patch will include an official tutorial / guide for PONE, more balancing, more settings (such as keybinds), and more bug patches. These patches will be released in the near future, before the launch of the full game.
I appreciate all of the feedback I have received and encourage you all to continue to share your constructive thoughts and concerns about PONE.
Thank you so much for all the feedback! Shout out to the people who are creating the monster guides in the forums! That's very helpful for me as a solo dev!
I have read your feedback and created a list of patches that I'll release in the near future. Once again thank you all so much for your support and patience. It's my first STEAM game and this community has been great. Your support really means a lot to me!
