- After a character dies, their equipped items can be recovered by returning to the same floor in the same location where they were defeated. If that character dies again, the old items will be lost permanently
- A third Personal Chest has been added to the Camp (available in the Ultimate version only; requires the "Shelter" building to be upgraded to level 4)
- The Mystic can now be found in the Camp: for 100 crystals, he will help a character "forget" any previously acquired perk. The Mystic appears after any character first has 6 perks at once (4 in the free version)
- Added 7 new class perks (2 for the Warrior, 1 for the Archer, 1 for the Wizard, 2 for the Berserker, and 1 for the Necromancer) and 1 universal perk
- Crystals can now be exchanged for gold right in the dungeon: interacting with the Merchant's cart opens the same window as on the Fortress screen
- The Ultimate version now lets you start directly from floor 100 if the corresponding number of floors has already been cleared in that location
- Added a new mini-boss: Monk of the Sun Cult, as well as his champion version - Fallen Monk. Both the boss and the champion can be encountered in all locations
- The Treasury can now be accessed through a gate found on a floor
- The Mysterious Altar found in the Predatory Lair can no longer be cursed (the shadows that appeared when trying to cleanse it often destroyed the altar itself)
- Updated the icons for 27 armor sets, 14 headpieces, as well as all swords, daggers, and shields: they have been redrawn in a unified style and resolution
- "Jagged Dagger", "Serrated Blade", and "Jagged Bastard Sword" now have the built-in "Bloodletting" effect
- "Black Dagger" and "Executioner's Blade" now have the built-in "Reaper" effect
- "Tormenting Katar" now has the built-in "Torture" effect
- The "Extinguished embers" artifact now not only speeds up HP regeneration near fire sources, but also adds 0.5 HP regeneration per second for each equipped artifact of this type while the character is holding a torch
- All found notes and diaries are now displayed directly in the Inventory, in a new tab of the quest section
- When hitting the Training Dummy in the Camp, damage per second will be shown at the bottom of the screen (average over the last 3 seconds)
- The current character's class icon shown on the inventory button now matches the icon of the corresponding class building; the button background has also been changed and now changes color according to the character's class
- The size of the HP and MP bars now changes not only when entering a floor, but also when applying/removing buffs that change max HP and MP
- Status effect bars are now placed below the active effects interface and companion previews, and no longer overlap them
- Key numbers in artifact effect descriptions will now be highlighted in yellow
- Added a notification window for successful crystal purchases
- Most perk penalties have been removed or reduced
- Secondary defense types on armor and headpieces will now increase when upgrading an item, just like the primary type
- The duration and effectiveness of buffs received from the Altar of Defense, Battle, Experience, and Fighting Spirit have been significantly increased
- The HP of the Dummy in the Camp has been increased 200 times (from 50,000 to 10,000,000)
- Adjusted the balance of skills whose maximum level was raised above 25
- Increased the damage dealt by the Vow of Sanctity skill at level 25
- The web created when killing creatures with the "Web Bolt" skill no longer slows the character or his allies, and no longer prevents them from shooting
- The Banded Shield (previously called "Reinforced Shield") no longer has the built-in "Tower Shield" effect, since the icon appearance has changed and this shield no longer looks like a tower shield
- The "Cloak" and "Foreign Cloak" items now have elemental defense
- The "Bandages" artifact now increases HP regeneration by 0.3 per sec. (was 0.2 per sec.)
- While the "Vulnerability" debuff is active, the character can no longer restore HP with red orbs or the "Bloodsucker" equipment effect
- The "Protection" equipment effect now increases resistance only to physical damage, not to all damage
- Characters who return to the Fortress from the Camp will now always begin their next descent with full HP and a living pet
- The Warrior Mercenary can now attack while blocking with his shield
- The Broadsword is now a one-handed sword instead of a hand-and-a-half sword
- Imps and Fiends (previously called Bies) are now animated
- Imps and Fiends now remain on the ground as corpses after death
- The appearance of Fiends has been changed; they have been redrawn in a higher resolution
- Water, chasms, and bridges are now shown on the minimap if they are present on the map
- When using Suspicious Pipes, the character will now move through all available pipes in sequence instead of teleporting between the same ones repeatedly
- Removed the restriction that prevented picking up an item immediately if it dropped directly on the character
- Trap projectiles can once again damage containers and environmental objects
- Creatures that use blocking (for example, the Warrior Mercenary) will lower their shield if there are no enemies left nearby
- Creatures that have become shadows now have the prefix "Shadow" in their name
- If a summoning creature (for example, a Lich) is a shadow, the other creatures it summons will also be summoned as their shadow versions
- Creatures that have become shadows will have a special remains version after being killed
- The corpses of creatures that received the "Ghostly" modifier will gradually disappear
- When stacking or taking consumables from the Personal Chest, the slider will now select the maximum amount by default instead of the minimum
- The dialogue with the Herbalist is now triggered not immediately after building the Infirmary, but only after upgrading the building to level 8
- The dialogue with the Elder after unlocking the World Map no longer starts automatically - the player can activate it by pressing the button whenever they see fit
- The "Protection" weapon effect has been renamed to "Duelist", and its icon has been changed
- When a creature explodes on death - as well as in some other explosions - a mark will now remain on the ground if the "Debris of destroyed objects" setting is enabled
- Dropped items on the ground now display a shadow beneath them
- When using a gamepad, you can now quickly compare the selected item with the equipped one using LT/L2
- Running with a gamepad is now assigned to LT/L2 by default (instead of pressing the stick), and the "hold button to run" setting is enabled by default
- Menu controls for a gamepad can now be freely rebound without affecting normal actions
- The death of any allied creature in the Secret Sanctuary would mistakenly cause it to be cleared
- The damage of the Hunter's crossbow shots incorrectly accounted for equipped crossbow bolts
- Equipment effect levels were reset if you returned to the Fortress immediately after upgrading an item in the Forge
- New equipment effects added in 1.38.1 did not appear on off-hand items
- Some equipment effects added in update 1.38.1 were incompatible with each other
- Items could generate with empty sockets
- When unequipping an item, its effects could be removed twice if the inventory was full
- Damage from the "Exploder" weapon effect worked incorrectly and did not account for its level
- The "Arrow Reflection" shield effect did not account for its level when calculating the damage of the reflected projectile
- The "Bloodsucker" equipment effect calculated the amount of healing incorrectly and did not account for the effect level
- The "Reinforcement" effect did not affect shields
- When changing equipment in the Forge into another item using a Silver Ingot, the new item's effect levels were reset. Unique items created in the Forge did not receive the level of their built-in effect immediately after being created
- When removing an equipment effect in the Forge, the description of that effect did not account for its level
- When combining potions in the Forge, one slot could end up containing too many items
- When buying back items previously sold to the Merchant, the price could be lower than the original
- The quality of items equipped on a surviving character could be displayed incorrectly in the Fortress if all effects were removed from the item
- When dismantling or selling an equipped item that changes a skill, the previous skill was not restored automatically
- When sorting the inventory by price, the value of passive items was calculated incorrectly
- Messages saying that furniture should not be broken (for example, when hitting the Blacksmith's table) would play even if the NPC was no longer in the Camp
- Flamethrower traps did not ignite arrows
- The rotating spheres of the King of Bones would freeze in place when parried with a shield or blocked with the "Arrow Reflection" effect, and his regular projectiles would pass through the boss when reflected without dealing damage to him
- The Battle Ogre could stun an opponent while running even if the target was standing behind him
- The Weaver could damage herself with ranged attacks
- Torches and some other objects continued to play sound after the corresponding setting was disabled
- Some objects that were supposed to produce sound were configured incorrectly and sounded too quiet
- The Viper had no stun animation
- When using the "Shadow" skill, some headpieces would visually disappear
- When trying to upgrade gems, the game displayed that "Field Forge" had to be upgraded instead of the "Enchantment Table"
- If a character died after running into spikes from a barricade, a white square was shown on the death screen instead of a preview of that barricade
- Minor text and translation fixes
- Many small improvements and fixes
