Under the hood optimizations will improve performance in both Multiplayer and single player. We are always trying to improve Plastic Battlegrounds. This mid cycle release focuses on quality of life improvements such as updates to the UI & bug fixes. We have also added air control which allows the player to adjust their location while in midair. This improves on the previous system where the player had no ability to adjust their location while jumping or falling. We are aware that some players are experiencing issues launching the game. This is due to players having many different setups in terms of hardware and software. We haven’t been able to look into this issue until recently because we were focused on general bugs and features for both PCVR and Quest but we are beginning to look into this more. To help us, you can include information about your setup, especially anything that could be different from the average PCVR player.

Joining and configuring sessions is easier with new lobby controls
New performance enhancements for more stable servers and less crashes
Added MP Volleyball prop to OP weapons
Added Reloadable Lee Enfield with Charger reloading
Added Reloadable, Makarov, Commonwealth Scout Rifle, Commonwealth Autocannon and the M14 Full auto

You can now switch to big mode in multiplayer to create levels together with other players using the built in freeze props function OR battle between big mode and small mode players. This update will allow players to be creative together in multiplayer. We know some are wondering: are we still working on singleplayer content? Yes, we have big updates for singleplayer on the way including new NPCs, maps, vehicles, and more on the way, we just wanted to add some essential features to multiplayer first. Enjoy!
Keep in mind not every feature in singleplayer is available in multiplayer, this is because each feature has to be programmed from scratch to work in multiplayer.
Multiplayer-ready NPC - only the host can turn AI on and off. Be careful spamming NPCs or explosives, too much can crash the game for you and others!
Create Private Lobbies with 4 digit codes. You can search for the code or players via the Search tool.
Save/Load: You can host your custom map on multiplayer and others can save your map as a form of map sharing!
10 person lobbies. The host runs the multiplayer lobby on their own headset so know that higher player counts may mean more lag.
Most PBG maps are available as multiplayer maps.
Prop/weapon spawns. Can be set so only hosts can.
Blacklist OP Weapons toggle setting when creating lobbies including laser weapons, batteries, firecrackers, etc. This is on by default
Spawnable Player Starts for multiplayer: you can place custom Player Starts (host can spawn by default)
NPC Spawners in multiplayer: you can spawn NPC soldiers from spawners to more easily create endless battles
NPC limit slider: you can set a limit to NPCs spawned that way spawners and player spawned NPCs are less likely to crash the game
Multiplayer Disclaimers: • Bullying, slurs, or harassment is NOT tolerated. • Be wary that this is the first release of multiplayer, this means there aren't as many features to prevent abuse as will be in the future. If you find yourself in uncomfortable situations, we recommend to exit the game and report the incidents to this google form
• Be safe and do not give vulnerable information to strangers. • Be nice to each other and encourage others to maintain a non-toxic environment. • Try not to spam explosives, NPCs, or objects, you will grief and crash your game and others'. • Do not claim others' maps as your own, give credit to the original creators of levels you save and always ask permission to save the levels first.
At long last Multiplayer is OUT! It took as long as it did because we have to remake everything to work in multiplayer and the development is very difficult which also means it doesn't have every feature in Singleplayer.. yet. It will also have bugs and crashes because it is in a very early stage, but we wanted to release it to get your feedback and make it into its best possible form over time working with the community. Remember to be nice to everyone, do not claim others' maps for yourself, and have fun!!! Also be sure to record your gameplay! PFC will be started up again and there will be big incentives for PBG Multiplayer footage! Multiplayer Features soon to come (within the next few weeks or couple months):

Fixes:
Fixed enemy soldiers spawning at friendly flags in Conquest mode.
Fixed Lee Enfield grip.
Dev Note: The Steam version of Plastic Battlegrounds actually released on the newest experimental build at the time (Build 242, first half of Update 26) early - C4, Medkits, syringes, etc. were all actually only available to testers on the Quest but all players on PCVR up until this weekend! This Steam update that launches alongside the Quest update now puts them both on the same version, hope you enjoyed getting to play with the new toys early!
More optimizations, gun handling, and platform specific fixes are coming in addition to content and feature additions. Remember to give any feedback or notes to us, we read them all!
Change log
-Adjusted handling characteristics for Index users. We're hoping it solves the issue of players needing to hold their controllers at awkward angles. Please let us know below if you're still having problems, but doubly confirm you're on the right version of the game! (Should say "Update 26-S8, Build 244" on the Main Menu level.)
-Added Graphics settings! The game was set to high quality by default but will now set itself to something a bit lower. You can find them in the Settings menu under Performance!
-Trigger can now be used to grab magazines, slides, and grenade pins! You'll now be able to interact with weapon functions without accidentally grabbing other guns or grab points.

Developer Notes
We are noting down ALL feedback you've given us so far since release. Many more improvements, features, optimization and fixes to come - it's the early days of Plastic Battlegrounds.
Thank you all for your support and if you have any questions or comments, we will note down or respond to basically all of them because we love working with the community to make this game the best it can be!
Hello, soldiers! Our team is currently prioritizing performance and will be adding graphics settings in an upcoming patch! We know a lot of it is coming from particles and setting them to be lower will help a lot. We're also looking into the Valve Index gun handling and aim to make it feel much more ergonomic and natural to use. Thank you to those who've highlighted issues and sent feedback our way! We've noted every concern that players have reported! Your support has set our morale to an all-time high and we can't wait to get updates into your hands! Please continue asking questions and reporting feedback whenever you'd like in the steam discussion posts, here in this thread, or Discord! We will get right on it!
We seem to have a bug where sound doesn’t play on some headsets. A few players have found a temporary fix for this by bringing the game window into focus on the desktop. If you're experiencing this problem please let us know by commenting which headset you use in this thread! It'll help us pin down what's causing it and we'll notify you when the upcoming patch resolves the issue. Stay tuned!
