This small update fixes a single bug a Discord member (thank you!) brought to our attention. The bug causes an Apartment's Day number to be incorrectly displayed as 1 even though you may have played hundreds of days in that apartment. This is most notable when you are choosing an apartment to load from one of your saves. In addition to causing the display of days to be funky, plant blooming and a couple other internal processes are negatively affected by this.

After this fix, the day count (and blooming) behaves correctly again.

We've been hard at work on our new games and we'll have updates on those soon but we wanted to get some gifts out to our Plant Therapy players.

We have a Spring update for all! These bonus items are all in the base game, no DLC required!

This is a bot-centric update that fixes a few issues:

Stickers and Avatars are now available in the Steam Points Shop!

A lot of you have been waiting and waiting for us to put out stickers and avatars and now they are here!

We also have one animated frame.

Note: Plant Therapy is not eligible to have trading cards. Our base game is free and we don't have micro-transactions in the game and so we can't have cards. Lesson learned.

Find the Points Shop in the dropdown menu on your Steam App home page. You earn points every time you buy a game. These can be redeemed to buy all sorts of fun goodies!

Happy Northern Hemisphere Winter!

We have a nice, juicy update with a plethora of new items and a few fixes. This is a pretty big update, so keep reading if you want to see all the new goodies!

WINTER UPDATE

• We have 31 new items spread out between the base game and the DLCs. Scroll for images of all new items.

NEW SAVE SLOTS

• We were naive in thinking only three save slots were needed for our creative bunch of players. NO! You said. We need different save slots for different themed apartments! We are sorry it took so long. Here are FIVE new save slots for you to stuff and curate with all of your favorite Plant Therapy goodies.

PLUSHY TAB

• Welcome the new PLUSHY tab to the journal! The journal has become a bit of a slog to get through the items. This new tab will take the Plushies out of furniture, where they probably shouldn't have been in the first place and makes them easier to find.

MORE BOTS

• Another frequent request was more BOTS! We have added some different skins for the bots and you can buy as many as you want now. You can also sell them. Have fun!

• Much work has also been done so bots aren't tripping over one another as frequently.

UPCOMING / NEWS

• We've added an upcoming section on the main play screen. Now you can easily see what Short Leg Studio is up to!

FIXES / ADJUSTMENTS

• Journal now supports mouse wheel for turning pages. Hallelujah!

• Snowy weather for the month of December.

• Journal also includes a new filter so you can search for items by name or size.

• Pot switching interface now allows filtering by size! A lot of you have been asking for that.

• Updated Winter Cart and made sure the snowman isn't blocking it.

• Fixed a layering issue with the wood fire stove top plate.

• Fixed the missing Beaded Glass Chandelier journal image.

• Coins were falling through the floors in Park Place. OOPS--all fixed now.

• Fixed a rare bug that prevented stores from being populating with inventory. (Shout out to the patient player that reported this and shared their save files!)

We have two new items today plus a little adjustment to the shops!

The Rainbow Maker makes rainbows on your walls and is available in the base game,

The Star Maker is exclusive to the Park Place DLC. Turn it on to create a little starfield in your home!

ADJUSTMENTS

• There were too many large pots were showing up in the plant shops and not enough medium pots. There is now a better balance.

• The flamingo pot could be placed like a hanging pot. This was too silly to keep.

• Some improvements were made around working with save slots in order to help diagnose some bugs brought to our attention.

Dear Plant Parents,

We're heading to Geek Girl Con this weekend, November 8th and 9th at the Seattle Convention center. There's still time to get tickets to this joyful and friendly event!

We will have play tests set up for our upcoming games, Creek Tank and Plush Rangers.

This is a small security-oriented update. Unity, the engine that Plant Therapy is built on, announced a security vulnerability that required attention by all games made with the engine. Plant Therapy did not utilize the behavior that was vulnerable to exploitation, so our changes were limited to moving to the recommended version. We're back with another small patch.

This patch addresses a problem where items are not restored correctly when you load into an apartment. This bug mostly affects items placed on the walls of the Park Place apartments. Items were noticed to shift left in the apartment or be moved to the floor. This was happening because the underlying IDs of item locations were partially duplicated, resulting in confusion when placing items back into the room.

Thanks to those of you who reported this bug and continue to provide excellent feedback.

Thanks for all the quick bug reports! We also were able to make a few quality-of-life tweaks.

ADJUSTMENTS

• Adjusted the Storage inspector to sort items by their name.

• Adjusted Park Place apartment layout

  • trim coloring

  • window grilles

  • Made windowsills in Apt 1 larger and easier to see.

• Adjust Parallax and outside views of Harlem and Upper West Side apartments.

• New floor in Harlem vintage shop.

FIXES

• Apartments that support 2 wallpapers (all of the Park Place apartments) - the 2nd wall would not correctly restore its wallpaper when it was set to the same wallpaper as the 1st wall.

• Apartments that support 2 wallpapers (all of the Park Place apartments) - some murals would partially show on the 2nd wallpaper wall.

• Mystery box - opening the mystery reportedly would cause a game crash - adjusted the mystery box packaging to ensure that the plant to deliver was accurately packaged and delivered. This also means that some plants that were errantly delivered (some of the rose bushes) are no longer available within the box.

• Could not selected items visible, but behind the new "Funky" - adjusted the shelf so it doesn't obscure the items behind it.

It's our Birthday!

We're celebrating two years on Steam this week with a new feature that let's you change where the tools are as well as a bunch of new seasonal items. Keep reading for all the details.

NEW ITEMS/SEASONAL UPDATE

Plant Therapy is celebrating two years on Steam with a trove of new items!! It's our birthday, it's fall, and our favorite holiday, Halloween, is coming soon so we have a lot of goodies for all of you.

• New Feature alert! Optional Bottom of the Screen Tools: Many of you have asked to get rid of the tool stand to allow for more space in the apartments. Your wish is granted! This is now the default setting. If you like the old tool stand, adjust on the Settings screen. Everything can still be accessed with shortcut keys.

• Seasonal Items: We have over 25 new items across the base game and DLCs.

ADJUSTMENTS

• Item rotation with mouse wheel. If you are holding an item, use the mouse wheel to flip it's orientation for placing!

• Fixed the Red Parrot Mobile asset.

• Fixed a missing hanging snowflake asset.

• Rotating Graffiti on the street. Instead of a static image on each street, now enjoy a rotation of street murals.

• We've updated some of the last old furniture assets from our demo and the Cat DLC (I'm looking at you, basic shelves and side tables) and now the artwork is more cohesive with the rest of the look of the game.

Thank you for all the love you have shown us since release. You are the peanut butter to our jelly, the moon and stars to our sun!

We're hard at work on new apartments and new features for Plant Therapy: Park Place!

The three new apartments are special because they will each have two separate rooms that can have different wall treatments on them.

Two of the apartments are on the upper west side, close to the Natural History Museum. That means look for woolly mammoths, cat astronauts and lots and lots of dinosaur items!

Also part of Park Place are the birdbaths. Look for over 10 different bird bath styles that will attract magical birds.

We've had to roll back our latest update. There have been a couple reports of crashes that we can't recreate so we want to step back and take a closer look.

Also, a wallpaper appeared that is part of the Park Place DLC so a few of you might have had a sneak preview.

• The goth shelf, on game load, would not contain the items that were there when you saved.
• Cozy mode still allowed a few coins to spawn on occasion.
• The Days Owned count in the item pop-up window is negative if you've transferred items via storage to a new apartment.
