Hi everyone!
I’m happy to announce that Pixplorer 1.0 is officially available on Steam!

If you're just starting out, I highly recommend checking out the guide and starting on Easy mode.
You will explore dungeons, capture fairies and insects, build a farm, discover teleportation, learn new spells, mine iron, craft great armor, and forge stronger weapons.
And most importantly... defeat the bosses! ːsteammockingː
Beginner tip: The white plants found in the mountains are an excellent way to restore your health, so keep an eye out for them during your adventures.
Have fun! ːsteamhappyː

Hey, I figured I could make a little update post on Steam!
I've added a lot of content to the game but haven't communicated much ^^'.
First thing, two artists have been helping me a lot to improve the game visually. I really want to thank them for their help as they've enhanced dozens of assets used in many biomes: trees, grass, variants for many tiles, new and improved rocks, UI, and more!
Also, I've been focusing on adding content over the last week:
+70 monsters and animals, including new bosses
+40 New crops (leek, turnip, cabbage, broccoli, ...)
+30 pieces of furniture (paintings and flowers on the wall, broom, ...)
New blocks (red roof tiles, ...)
New plants, mushrooms, trees, rocks etc.
And I finally added the top 1 / most demanded feature everyone has been asking me for months:
Multiplayer? No, no ..
Mods ? Nope ..
WE CAN NOW OPEN AND CLOSE DOORS !
Yep! Right click : the door opens. Righ click again : the door closes. And it even reproduces the sound of a door opening and closing! Right click? Open! Right click? Closed... Open! Closed! Open! Closed! Exactly like a real door, except it's in a video game. Oh boy do I love this door. I should probably add more doors, make a lore around doors... Or maybe I should implement the same gameplay mechanic with the cabinet and the shelf! Yeah I'll do that!
Anyway, hopefully the game will be released in a month or so :D Still a bit of work to ensure everything is stable and fun ;)

Hi, You can try the Pixplorer Demo now 😃! After months of development, I'm happy to make this demo freely available on Steam for everyone 🎉 . This demo offers a controlled, limited experience in the game. What can you do in the demo? - Explore 4 biomes on a limited map - Capture fish and insects - Build a house and decorate with flowers - Forge or find basic armor and weapons - Defeat at least two bosses - Learn stronger spells What you can't do in the demo: - Save/Load games. This demo should be a short experience. - Explore all biomes, explore an infinite map, find / use all items / blocks / recipes / spells etc. You can find more information in the game folder (guide.txt and guide_demo.txt) and gameplay videos on YouTube ( ) or on the demo’s Steam page. Join the Discord: https://discord.gg/Z5V2EVCUP9 . You can ask questions and feedback is highly appreciated 👍
- Wishlist Pixplorer to support the project !
Currently, I have two plans for the future. Either I directly add more content and release the full game soon at a regular price. Or perhaps I do an early access with the current version at a lower price, and use it to add more content + mods + multiplayer. I'll probably decide in the next weeks!
I'm a solo dev, and I really want to keep improving the game, fixing issues, adding features, and releasing a complete version that everyone can enjoy in the coming months. Your feedback and support are super important for that.
Thanks!😁

Hi all!
Happy new year, hope you're doing well! 🎉
This is Whiax, I want to share the current roadmap for Pixplorer 🫡. In the last weeks I've been improving the game aesthetics a lot to make the latest trailer and steam page (though it can and must always be improved more!). The next step is to make a nice demo for the Steam Next Fest, in which I should participate at the end of February!
Since I announced the game in September I've received a lot of feedback and I want to thank you all for that! I'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions with the current roadmap in mind.
TLDR: Release before May, price below $15, no multi on release, mods maybe, more content ? quality over quantity first, no early access
Release date? > In the current roadmap it's planned for a few weeks after Next Fest, so before May 2026 if everything is ok. The main reason I could see for a delay / roadmap change would be to ensure the game's profitability (something I unfortunately have to take into consideration).
Will the game support multiplayer when it's released ? > No, it’s a top priority to support it as soon as possible, but it’s not feasible in the current roadmap, which is why it's clearly stated everywhere that the game will be single-player only at launch !
Will the game support mods when it's released ? > The game can already support some mods in a non-usual way. The goal is to make it easier with a mod-manager inside the game. I can’t guarantee it will be ready at launch but I don't see many obstacles to do it if there is a demand to support mods (let me know!). Parts of the code to support mods are already done and it has already been tested in Debug mode.
Can you easily add content to the game? > Yes! But I don’t think the game needs tons of content at release. I think it needs to be stable, optimized, and to have basic essential features like multiplayer and modding. Quality over quantity! Please keep in mind that I'm a solo dev, I have tons of ideas to add to the game, but it wouldn't be fun if I'm the only one playing it, and I have to balance my time between enhancing existing content, adding new content, and promoting the game (and maybe sleeping too!). You can help by sharing the project if you like it, it really helps! :D
Price? > In the current roadmap it's not planned to be above $15, basically following the pricing strategy of all similar games. The idea is that with Sales it could be around ~$10, and the price would very slightly increase if and when I add multiplayer / more content over the years!
Early Access? > I’m still considering it but I see some issues. Mainly, Early Access asks players to trust the developer for future content, and I don’t want to ask for that, I want to give you a fully playable game you can directly enjoy (usually called a "V1"). And I can still add more content later. However, Early Access can serve a purpose depending on the playerbase, and I’d only consider it if it benefits both the game and the players. For now, it’s not planned.
So that's the current plan! I hope I'll stick to it, but if I don't, please be forgiving, because my only goal would be to offer a better game.
See ya! :D

Hi! Just a short announcement about the project's name change from "Hitcast" to "Pixplorer". You might still see the old name "Hitcast" in some places. In theory the new name should appear everywhere, but it can still take a small time to update everything, so no worries if you still see the old name.
Start the game, adjust your controls, and create your own world.
You’ll move and jump in a 3D environment with a top-down perspective.
Open your 🎒inventory by pressing E and equip items with a right-click.
Head to the underground dungeon on the left and ⚔️ battle enemies using your spells.
Once you defeat the💀 Skeleton Giant, loot the chest for rewards.
On the right side of the map, face the 🐺 Werewolf boss.
After defeating both bosses, you’ll have completed the demo’s main objectives.
Discover two biomes: grasslands and a swampy marsh
Try fishing or capturing insects to unlock new spells.
Use blocks to build your own 🏡 little house!
