HUGE thank you to everyone who reported bugs and gave extra information to help us fix a lot of the biggest issues hitting players.
Today we’re rolling out our next patch that focuses on addressing any bugs that could possibly limit your progression. Since we also didn’t previously share the patch notes for the past two updates, those are also included!
Patch #2 - May 18, 2026
Bug fixes:
Address various instances where players would be soft locked from progressing
Patch #1 - April 30, 2026
New features:
Musical numbers can now be replayed from any jukebox (one located in each major city).
"Controller Glyph Override" has been added to the options. We understand this isn't quite native support, but it should hopefully help as a quick-patch solution!
Balance Adjustments:
Easy mode ("Garage Band") has been made slightly easier!
Chartography+1 and Chartography+2 have been made slightly less effective (~10%).
Bug fixes:
Lumina's town center will no longer be covered in opaque fog if the player retreats from the final boss battle in Lumina.
Jump point behavior improved in general.
Fixed an error where if in certain boss battles, the player made a change in the Settings Menu, then quit the game without leaving the battle, a softlock could occur.
Eliminated several more areas where the player could get stuck.
Fixed an error where the remix stone "Left it Out There" would not always respect Synthia's ability "Glitch Edit".
Fixed strange softlock behavior from Lasso's "Hogtie" ability.
Fixed an error where the cutscene preceding the final boss would be highly inaccurate if the player had retreated or lost once prior.
Fixed several more issues with the Spectral Chips minigame in Lumina.
Fixed several minor issues with the late-game sidequest in the Melting Point.
Fixed an error where Groove would not always be reported properly after completing a Puzzle Battle.
Updated credits sequence with a few more names!
Fixed an error where the Gem UI in Lumina's Doors and Switches would sometimes be inaccurate.
Fixed an error where if the player freed the "Accelerando" ability stone from its flower, then left the area or quit the game without picking it up, a softlock could occur.
Cadence and Fret will no longer comment on Martell's "Hustlin' Time" ability if she is defeated before that occurs.
Various other minor fixes and improvements!
Hotfix #1 - April 14, 2026
Balance Adjustments:
A secret postgame reward has been adjusted.
The player can now properly leave a specific sidequest boss fight if they deem it too difficult, at the time.
Bug Fixes:
Cadence's collision has been reworked to avoid an engine-level issue with collider capsules. In general, she should no longer get randomly stuck when touching generally cylindrically-shaped objects! This one was very hard to pin down and get a fix for. Please alert us if any further collision locks occur, and remember to use the backup save system to get yourself unstuck if needed!
Returning from a late game musical number no longer occasionally places Cadence in a strange, gray void.
Several issues with the Spectral Chips minigame have been addressed.
Several soft-lock situations have been addressed.
Addressed a rare circumstance where the "Left It Out There" remix stone could be released from its flower, not collected, and then disappear if the player left the area has been corrected.
Fixed an issue where inventory sorting in certain non-Latin languages could cause items to disappear from the inventory entirely.
