Penko Park news & patch notes

Hey Penkis!

A small update for you all this holiday!

• Added 3 new holiday themed hats to the game
• Game can now be played in windowed mode
• Penko Wand controls now have the same mapping as the kart controls and can thus be remapped (Default: WASD)
• Fixed a bug that would throw the player out of the menu after remapping controls
• Fixed a crash that would happen sometimes after the player played songs

• Steam Cloud Sync is now available and will automatically sync your save game files.
• Crashes/Black screens players were reporting on Windows 10 should now be fixed.

Hi fellow Penkis, we have been incredibly busy working full-time on an incredibly huge content update that will be released soon. It's not even fair to call it an update - it's more like a Penko Park version 2.0! 😂 The update will include:

• More than 40 new monsters! 🐵
• Many new animal artifacts & hats! 🎩
• A whole new level for you to explore (and the largest one yet!) ❄
• A new and mysterious tool! 🎶
• Full Gamepad support, many new localized languages, *huge* performance improvements & much much more!

Changelog:

• Added Speedrun Timer for Any % and 100 % runs. Can be selected from Options -> Controls.
• Changed "Delete All Savegame Files" behaviour to only delete gameplay progress, not user configs like controls, keybinds, resolution etc.
• Fixed gamebreaking bug that occurred when placing photo during leveling up (you had to be VERY fast for that to happen) and caused you to get an additional unplaceable Penko Stamp.
• Fixed gamebreaking bug that occurred when going back to album via menu while the game was already loading the album.
• Fixed bug that happened when the player took a photo of Erlpenki before the final Penki dialog.
• Fixed small typos.
• Fixed various other tiny bugs.
• Added Community Discord button in main menu.
• Added version number in main menu.

We just added russian localization to the game!

Other languages are coming soon, too:

We are close to finishing up localization for Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. If you are fluent in Chinese or Italian and would like to help us translate, please send a mail to [email protected] or DM me @ghostbutter on Twitter. Other fixes: - Many small fixes to the levels & terrains. - Some minor balance tweaks Upcoming patches will include Mac/Linux support, performance improvements, fixes for crashes and more languages!

• Penki will now respect your choice of hat when talking to you (Wears your chosen hat in dialogs).
• Levers that already unlocked a path become non-interactable on subsequent runs.
• Fixed some problems with the grappler behaviour.
• Fixed a small UI issue with the Kart Stop Timer
• Slight rebalancing of some of the mechanics
• Fixed some small typos and other glitches

Patch 1.0.1 is here! We added an inverted mouse option and fixed some small things! Please let us know of any gamebreaking bugs, glitches etc. - either by writing on the Steam Forums or a mail to support  ghostbutter  com

• Added a small delay that prevents absurdly fast tool switching with the mouse wheel
