Honestly? We're overwhelmed. The launch went beyond anything we imagined, and that's entirely down to you. Watching players discover the universe we've been shaping for years, get attached to it, see it through to the end, it's hard to put into words!
What struck us most was how present and kind you've all been. On Discord, on Reddit, on social media, in the Steam discussions. You tested, reported, suggested, encouraged. A special shout-out to the Reddit community, incredibly active and generous.
Every piece of feedback was read. And a lot of it fed directly into the patch below.
Here are the fixes and additions in this first update:
Alt-Tab crash fixed: the game shouldn't crash anymore (less often?...) when switching to another window.
Language at startup: the game now starts in the language you selected on your last session.
Music and sound effects volume: your settings are now properly kept between sessions.
Windowed resolution: your custom resolution no longer resets during day/night transitions.
Display settings: the resolution confirmation buttons now work correctly.
Nest compass: the arrow now positions correctly at all resolutions.
Save indicator: a "Saving…" message now appears during day/night transitions, so you can see when your progress is saved.
Quest log at night: your active quests can now be viewed during the upgrade phase too.
Teleportation: fixed a conflict between teleporting and returning to the nest.
Main menu navigation: fixed button highlight when using the mouse.
New achievement: an achievement for finishing the game has been added. (Already finished the game? Load your save and pick up the final stone once more, that should be enough to trigger it!)
/!\\ This is our very first update, and we're staying on the lookout for any issue. If you run into one, let us know! /!\\ If you'd already played before the patch: you might notice some odd behavior or changes in your settings on your first launch. No worries, it'll only happen that one time!
This week, we presented Pebble For A Queen in person at Brotaru, in Brussels. Watching people play right in front of us, react live, chat about the game: a precious moment...
And that was only the first of many: more events are already in the works so we can keep meeting you. We'll tell you more very soon!!
Quick reminder: there's around 24 hours left to grab the launch discount. If you were on the fence, or wanted to spread the word, now's the time!
We're a tiny studio, and every bit of support means the world. If you enjoyed the game:
Leave a review on Steam once you've played: it's what helps an indie game exist more than anything else.
Tell people about it, share it, show it to a friend who might love it.
This patch is just one step. We'll keep reading your feedback and working on what's next. Never hesitate to come talk to us.
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts. We're so happy to be sharing this game with you. 💙
The Mangus team
We're Mangus — a two-person indie studio from Belgium — and this is our very first released game. We poured everything we had into it, and we genuinely hope you'll love exploring Goguz's world as much as we loved building it. 💛
🚀 Launch week: -20% off To celebrate, the game is 20% off for the first week. If you've been on the fence, now's the perfect time to jump in. 👉 Steam Store Page
🕹️ What is it? An exploration adventure with the deep, ever-climbing progression of a true incremental. You start small — cracking pebbles around your nest — and grow into an unstoppable force shattering enormous boulders across the world. Expect a gentle start that builds into pure, satisfying power.
💻 Platforms The game is available today on Windows, Linux and macOS!
A quick note of honesty: the macOS build just made it in time for launch, and we haven't been able to test it on Apple Silicon (M-series) chips ourselves yet. We also haven't tested Steam Deck. Everything should run smoothly — but if you're playing on one of these, we'd be especially grateful to hear how it goes. Any issue, tell us and we'll be on it. 🔧
🌍 Languages Pebble for a Queen is playable in 11 languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Filipino. Think we should add yours? Tell us — and if you'd like to help improve a translation, we'd love your expertise!
🎛️ Play your way Controller, keyboard, mouse, or any mix you like — it's all supported. Looking for the most relaxed experience? Mouse with autocast is wonderfully chill.
🐛 Found a bug? Got feedback? The game has been tested for hours by several people, but no launch is ever completely bug-free — especially on less powerful machines. All feedback is welcome, positive or negative. You can reach us however you prefer, but for this kind of report, Discord and the Steam forums are the most efficient — it keeps everything in one place.
We'll be actively around over the next few days to answer questions and fix whatever needs fixing so the game runs great for everyone. Depending on how much comes in and how tricky the issues are, some fixes may take a little time — but please assume we're working on every single report. 🔧
❤️ How you can help If you enjoy the game, the single best way to support us is simple: tell one person about it. If everyone who likes Pebble for a Queen brought just one friend along, that would be a huge win for us. And if you have a few minutes, leaving a review genuinely helps a small studio like ours more than you'd think. steamthumbsup
📸 Made something? Fan art, screenshots, videos, streams — if you create anything related to the game, please share it with us! We'd be thrilled to see it, join in when we can, or share it around.
Thank you for being here. This is the beginning of something for us, and we couldn't have reached this day without you.
See you in the world. — Philip, Sandrine & Arthur
