Halloween Song Contest Last month's Halloween Song Contest on the ODDADA Discord server was a real treat! We were blown away by all the spooky tunes you created. Hello everyone!! We're excited to announce to you the ODDADA Halloween Update 🎃 Not only does this upgrade include a small content update with:

• a new spooky scale
• 2 new sound pieces
• 3 new stickers

But also: We are launching a Halloween Song Contest on our Discord server starting today, on the 27th of October, until the 3rd of November! Controls

• Made Knobs interactable via both horizontal and vertical mouse movements.
• Made Knobs interactable via controller.

Menus & UI

• Resolved a visual glitch where the train's roof would jump when clicked.
• Fixed possible color bleeding during transitions between scenes.
• Updated the icon for the Desktop Shortcut for Windows.
• Updated Splash Screen.

Localization

• Fixed a text break issue in the Train Screen for French.

Save System

• Optimized the performance and resilience for saving cassettes.
• Prepared save files and UI for future updates.

Bug Tracking

• Enhanced local logging system to make it easier finding bugs in the future.
  • Important: This logging system is completely offline and local to your device. We do not have access to these logs unless you choose to send them to us. If you encounter issues and wish to share your logs for support, you'll need to manually send them to us.

Levels

• Music Machine - Fixed issues where this level could sometimes get out of sync.
• Chords - Resolved the bug where towers started to fly, when one clicked them fast enough.
• Factory - Updated colliders in the factory level preventing clipping.

Train

• Metronome - Fixed an issue where one could get stuck, when recording with the Metronome turned off.

Sound Bricks

• Bell Towers - Fixed a crash that occurred when Bell Towers were triggering each other.

Menus & UI

• Skippable Splash Screen - The splash screen following the Unity logo can now be skipped, letting you jump into the action faster.
• Reset Button - We’ve added a brand-new reset button to the settings, allowing you to quickly wipe your save game.

Achievement Localization

• French and Portuguese (big thanks to our community!)
• German, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Russian
• (Spanish will soon follow)

We can't believe the day has finally come and ODDADA is now out in the world for everyone to play and hopefully have lots of fun with. Time to board the tune train and make some music! It was a very long journey until this point and we're very proud and very happy to be releasing this game today. The wait is almost over - we're happy to announce that after 4 years of development, ODDADA is finally coming to you in just a bit more than 2 weeks -- on August 15th! Hey there! So it already has been over a month since we released the demo during Next Fest. Currently, we are in the midst of making our game ready for our big release THIS SUMMER. In the meantime, we thought you’d enjoy a new version of the demo with some of the improvements we made so far. :) Without any further ado, here are the changes:

Highlights

Plattenboy Level - Upgrade

Chord Towers Level - Camera Angle

Performance Improvements

We were able to boost the FPS by about 3x to 5x on our test system from 2015 (Intel i7 with integrated graphics). So should the game have caused some trouble for your GPU in the past, maybe now is the perfect time to give it another go.

Further Changes and Improvements

Levels

• Plattenboy - Got a completely new device to play around with.
• Chord Towers - It is easier now to reach the towers in the back.
• Organ - Does record more precisely now when a key was pressed.
• Sound Bricks are harder to lose inside levels now.
• Fixed possible Camera clipping during level transitions.

Train

• Loco - When recording, the window will be red and blinking now.

Cassettes

• Song Exporter - By default, the UI will hide your username in the file path now.
• Song Exporter - The UI got overall simplified by removing unnecessary buttons.
• Song Exporter - When done exporting, the computer shows a checkmark now.
• Cassette Player - The non-interactable playhead now looks less interactable.
• Cassette Editor - The cassette slot now looks more like a slot.
• Cassette Editor - The “?” key got replaced with a “ “ key (space).
• Untitled Cassettes without a title get the title “Untitled” now.
• Titles of Cassettes are perfectly horizontally centered now.
• Fixed a possible bug preventing a cassette to not be saved.

Sounds

• Cassette Box - Got some new latch sounds.

Graphics

• Performance Optimisations
• Anti-aliasing is optional now. You can find a toggle in the Settings.
• MacBooks with a Notch now use the full width of the screen by default.

Menus & UI

• Localisation - Added Russian translation.
• Improved text wrapping for Spanish and Portuguese.

Miscellaneous

• Concert - Fixed a possible bug getting stuck in the Concert.
