The Great Bug-Fix Update (v1.4)
Factory workers — this one's for you. I went through every bug report, Steam review, and forum thread and squashed a huge pile of issues you've been running into. Almost every fix below came straight from your posts — thank you for taking the time to report them.
MAJOR FIXES
• Your production no longer collapses after Prestige or Transcend. This was the big one behind "my numbers got ruined" and "I capped at e1850 and now I can't break e900." The Momentum Core bonus was being wiped on reset instead of carrying over — it now retains properly, so resetting no longer tanks your run.
• Hard Reset now fully wipes your progress. It was leaving your Generator Generators (and Transcendence progress) behind, which immediately flooded your generators back and made the reset look like it did nothing. A Hard Reset now clears generators, Generator Generators, and Transcendence — while still keeping your Crystals and Achievements.
• The Shop no longer gets stuck on "Steam loading," and purchases reliably deliver their rewards. Closing the Steam overlay mid-purchase could cancel reward detection, and there was no recovery if a grant was missed — both fixed, including a startup check that reclaims any purchase that didn't come through.
• Achievement progress now saves between sessions. Boosts collected, crystals spent, and prestige upgrades purchased were resetting on reload, so multi-session achievements could only be finished in one sitting. They now persist correctly and never roll backwards.
• Fixed achievements unlocking (or being blocked) incorrectly, including "Efficient Idle" and several time-based ones that were secretly measuring the wrong thing.
• Premium Crystals are now better protected against loss, plus a save-recovery bug that could overwrite a good save has been fixed.
• Several Prestige Tree upgrades that weren't actually doing anything now work — including Cascading Multipliers, Tier Synergy, and Challenge Mastery. If you bought these before, they'll start applying their bonuses now.
• The Auto-Buyer now increases your production immediately. Previously it bought generators but your output wouldn't go up until you bought one manually.
• Statistics actually track now — prestige streaks, personal bests, averages, and "this prestige" counters were frozen at zero.
BALANCE & CORRECTNESS
• Challenge restrictions are now enforced. "No Generators / No Boosts / No Upgrades" challenges previously let you use the forbidden mechanics anyway — they now actually restrict them.
• Completing a challenge no longer survives a Hard Reset (its bonuses used to stick around).
• Fixed two boosts that were misbehaving: the Feedback Loop synergy boost was applying far more than its description promised, and the Ultimate Power skill node was leaking a permanent bonus even with no skill active. Both now match their stated effects. (Your numbers may read a little lower — that's these working as intended now.)
• Formula transformations (Square Root / Logarithm) now apply their real effect instead of being silently overridden.
QUALITY OF LIFE & UI
• Tooltips no longer flicker/blink when your cursor is near a screen edge (this affected the Prestige, Transcendence, Skill, Challenge, and Achievement tooltips).
• Tooltips now show the correct numbers. Several boost, skill, and generator tooltips were displaying values that didn't match what you actually got.
• Fixed the Settings display options overlapping — the Window Mode and Tooltip Size dropdowns now sit on their own rows.
• Sound effects are no longer far quieter than the slider suggests, and turning SFX off no longer also silences your music.
• Display resolution and window mode are now saved and re-applied on startup.
• Active and locked tabs now highlight correctly in the tab bar.
• Buy All now includes newly-unlocked tiers, and its button correctly reflects whether there's anything to buy.
• Fixed the Hard Reset warning text (it incorrectly claimed achievements would be wiped — they're kept).
• Various visual fixes: purchase/achievement particle effects now appear, click-outside-to-close works, animated counters are smoother, and more.
KEEP IT COMING
There's more still on the list, and a few things I'm continuing to investigate. If you hit anything weird, please drop it in the Bug Report discussion thread — it genuinely shapes what gets fixed next. And a big thank-you to the supporters keeping the factory running.
