GAME UPDATES

Brand new quality of life changes, bug fixes and Achievement updates now live!

• The Achievements "Shadow Spire" and "Irregularis Beat" are no longer Hidden.

• Fixed unintended functionality where the Princess's "Catharsis" ability would work on all party members.

• Battle Track "Manifest" will loop correctly instead of having a few seconds of dead air.

• Fixed a bug where the "Altar Lake" UI pop-up would stay on screen instead of disappearing.

• Other various quality of life changes.

STEAM INTEGRATION

NONEWORLD now has complete integration with Steam!

Including access to all 14 Achievements, the Steam Overlay and Cloud Saves. This also means you can take your save files cross-platform!

MACOS RELEASE \

We've unfortunately had to cancel the MacOS native version of NONEWORLD due to instability. Sorry to our Mac players out there. Get a better operating system? (I kid!)

NEW CONTENT

Two new areas have been added to the Swamplands to encourage more exploration.

• Added a new area in the Swamplands that rewards a unique item.

• Added another new small area in the Swamplands, accessible during the boat ride.

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

Some small changes to the UX experience to improve immersion.

• When the player dies on Irregularis Difficulty, the option to "Continue" will no longer appear.

• On death, the screen and background music will now fade out slowly when "Main Menu" is selected.

• The Status icon for Energy has been polished to feel more in line with the Attack, Defense and Hope icons.

BALANCING UPDATES

Several balancing updates to make NONEWORLD generally harder across the board, with some buffs for underpowered status effects. The consensus is that Nightmare Difficulty is far more engaging due to its difficulty, and while there should be an Easy Mode for those who prefer it, I've made some changes to reinforce the importance of resource management across the board.

• Easy and Normal difficulty have been made harder.

• Eyes in the final boss encounter now have 100 additional HP (900 > 1000)

• Hopeberry now heals 25 less HP (50 > 25 HP)

• Resistance is now 10% stronger (130% > 140%)

• Regen is now 10% stronger (20% > 30%)

• Ophelia's Critical Eye ability (including Mastery) will no longer apply Weak. It now damages 2 random enemies instead.

• Class Ultimates have their Revenge cost increased by 20 (80 > 100) and Energy cost increased by 1 (2 > 3)

• Shop prices for all items have been increased by 5 Denarius.

BUG FIXES

Tons of fixes to prevent softlocks from occurring. I've also updated the Guard implementation, as it was previously working incorrectly and should now be more impactful during battle.

• Fixed several bugs and softlocks exclusive to Irregularis Difficulty.

• Fixed a softlock in the Swamplands Imperial Key cave caused by a hidden spike.

• Fixed a bug that caused Guard and other Guard States to work incorrectly.

• Fixed a bug where the Fishing Rod could be picked up after equipping the same Fishing Rod within Reality Perception.

• Fixed a softlock caused by placing the Lilipad in the Swamplands at an incorrect angle.

• Fixed a bug where spikes would cause the player to softlock when stepped on diagonally.

• Various other stability improvements and fixes.

NOTES

• Note: This update may wipe your local Achievements. This is unintended and an unfortunate side effect of releasing this patch, however I am looking into ways to prevent this going forward, including potential Steamworks Achievement integration.

GAME LAUNCH

After three years of development: we're finally ready for our global launch. 

Our Windows 1.00 will be available on the 22nd of June 12PM (AEST). This is our first product launch as a studio and we're super excited to get this game into your hands!

We've made the difficult decision to delay the launch of NONEWORLD to June.

WHY WE DELAYED

NONEWORLD is our first game launch and we want to get it right. While the game is content complete, and we could’ve shipped on time, it would’ve been to the detriment of the product. To put it simply: the game needs a little more time in the oven, and some additional polish to boot.

This also gives us more breathing room for marketing, trailers and other pre-release goodies that you can still expect starting next month! We’ll also have a blog on the 1st of June covering what to expect from the game content and length wise, including some new goodies!

As you can imagine, this was an incredibly difficult decision to make. I want our studio to launch quality games on time. But this felt like the right choice. We aren’t content with the bare minimum.

Hello everyone and happy Next Fest! This October is very special, as it can only mean 3 things: Steam Next Fest, Halloween and Millie's Birthday! With the release of our Prologue Demo, let's dive into some development updates and more!

NEXT FEST UPDATE

NONEWORLD is developing smoothly and making great progress. We're currently wrapping up final development on Chapter 2, while also focusing our efforts on visual and narrative improvements.

UI updates, icon overhauls, menu reworks, increased accessibility, and general polishing has been a big focus recently. And while we unfortunately weren't able to ship many of these changes, they'll be ready for launch!

We've also doubled down on combat and item balancing, code refactoring and many new quality of life features. This means we can approach development on the final chapter of NONEWORLD without worrying about technical debt! (It also just makes my life a little easier..)

PROLOGUE DEMO

We've shipped our Prologue Demo for NONEWORLD - a small vertical slice introducing our game and universe, without spoiling too. Funny enough, we actually had to go in and remove a lot of narrative content to ensure there wasn't too much being revealed. So rest assured, there's still lots more to see!

Hello everyone! We've neglected to actually use this thing so it's time for a change. And what better month than July? The seasons change is soon upon us also, so let's chat a bit!

RELEASE DATE

So here's the big news: to any and all anticipating NONEWORLD, we're officially launching on May 22, 2026! At least, that's the plan right now. We were actually planning to launch later this year, but it soon became clear we wouldn't be able to ship NONEWORLD in the form we wanted within that timeframe.

Before we dive into things, here's the new gameplay reveal trailer for those who missed it! It's funny how game dev works, because one of the locations in that trailer is now considered cut content! Of course, expect things to change as we approach launch. We keep the good stuff and chuck the rest..

DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

If you're curious about NONEWORLD's ongoing development, we've just hit an important internal milestone! We had a few playtesters go through 2/3rd of the game, and we've since gotten tons of important feedback and notes to sort through. Of course, we've had people play the game at every stage or production, but this is closer than it's ever been.

The good news: the feedback was really positive! It was really sweet to see all the constructive feedback, which also includes some funny memes and jokes. I wish we could show you all but alas, our eyes only.
