Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
I'm absolutely blown away to announce My Heaven's Dale has reached 1,000 sales already! As a solo developer, seeing a project that started from passion reach so many players is an indescridable feeling...
I wanted to share a bit of "behind the scenes" look at how My Heaven's Dale came to life.
My Heaven's Dale went through a lot of graphical changes since 2024. Initially, I was still learning pixel art should be made at a 1:1 scale (1px) and then upscaled later if needed.
I spent 2 months learning how to draw while completely ignoring this rule, and I ended up having to redo the entire graphics a while later, after all, every single asset had inconsistent pixel sizes.
I used to draw characters from different titles using this classic Mega Man sprite template. It was a great way to learn how to work with smaller pixel sizes and also get a much better sense of colors.
Redrawing your art during the process is standard procedure for any developer who is constantly improving. This naturally increases development time, but in the end, it’s a trade-off that is absolutely worth it!
(That's Leo changes during My Heaven's Dale development)
(A step-by-step of how I'm used to make Face Graphics)
(But pixel art wasn't the only style I improved, I also practiced digital drawing every single day. I needed promotional art for the Steam Page, but since I didn't have any budget to hire an real artist, I decided to learn it step by step during development)
(You'd think I made this drawing in less than a day, but sketching the male protagonist was a whole week-long process of making changes and adding details before I even started applying colors, I made a final change you can see through the most recent cover)
(I've always had a great ally, my little notebook. I still take it with me to my job and sketch ideas during my breaks. Here is a little sketch from when I was planning the game's maps.)
(My Heaven's Dale was developed at night after I got home from work, every single day. Here is an example of how I managed what needed to be done during development, each mechanic was broken down into several checklists. It gave me a lot of satisfaction to see tasks get crossed off!)
If you have spent some time in Heaven's Dale and are enjoying the experience, please take a quick minute to leave an honest review! This is an incredibly vital resource for small developers, and your opinion helps future players a lot!
My Heaven's Dale will continue to receive free updates after the first month of release. Before that, I will be providing full support, resolving issues, and answering questions directly here on the Steam forums. Thank you!

I updated a lot of the English translations in this patch, especially those related to the main story. I'm still rewriting the dialogue for the character cutscenes as well as the general NPC dialogue.
Thank you all for reporting these issues. If you continue to experience any problems, please let me know. I'll keep fixing bugs and releasing patches to keep the game as stable as possible. Depending on the severity of the issue, I may even release a fix the very next day.
Hello! I have some updates and fixes for issues you've encountered over the past few days. First of all, I'd like to apologize for not catching these problems sooner!
\
Leaving the Pet Race area from the right side would cause the player to lose access to their inventory.
For users having this problem, please do this: Enter your house and your inventory access will be restored automatically. I'm sorry about that!
\
Mixed Seeds are no longer consumable. They are only intended to be used in the Seed Maker.
\
Chickens and other animals were not producing items regardless of their Ranch Happiness. I investigated the issue thoroughly, and they should now produce their items correctly. Please let me know if this fixes the problem for you!
\
All food items now restore more Energy! This change was made to reduce the friction of having to consume food repeatedly when restoring large amounts of Energy.
I'll release this patch as soon as possible since these issues directly affect the gameplay experience. Please keep in mind that I'm also rewriting the introduction dialogue after receiving feedback that the English was poor. I'm truly sorry about that!
Once I've finished fixing the dialogue, I'll update the game to version 1.0.2. Thank you very much for your patience!
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for following the project for so long. I'll be keeping an eye on the Community Hub to help with any questions you may have about the game.
The game will be available at a 15% launch discount for the first 14 days. Regional pricing has also been adjusted to better match each country's local economy.
If you run into any issues or specific bugs, feel free to leave a comment on this pinned community post. I'll be keeping track of everything and making sure any problems are fixed within a few days!
Use your first day to meet the community and explore every corner of the map. You'll find furniture packs scattered around, so be sure to collect them along the way!
While exploring the forest, you'll come across a "Lunar Spirit" near the river. Talk to it to unlock an objective guide next to your house. It will help if you ever feel lost!
To progress the story, sleep in your bed and start the second day. Then head to the City Hall (to the right of your house). You'll see a cutscene featuring a man named Frogman. Continue completing your objectives until you reach the Purple Moon.
Fishing becomes available on Day 5. It will be a rainy day, and Tom will give you a fishing rod during a character cutscene.
Steam reviews are vital for small indie games. If you play and like the game, please leave a review! It helps us tremeeendously!
Have a wonderful time playing! Store Page
Hello! We've finally entered the last two weeks before release!
I'd like to thank everyone for your support and feedback during Steam Next Fest! My Heaven's Dale has reached 7,724 wishlists at the moment, and I'll be showing some of the things I worked on after the event.
Do you remember this old man by the Long Road? If you earn his trust, you'll be able to invite him to live in your barn!
A new room has been added to the back of the barn, and it's fully customizable with furniture. Inviting the old man to live there also comes with a nice bonus: he'll automatically pet your animals every morning!
Many interiors have been reworked to ensure a more consistent level of quality throughout the game.
The clinic's inconsistent color palette has been fixed, and the carpenter's workshop, in particular, is no longer split across three separate maps.
The Carpentry expandable areas are now connected into a single map, making resource management much smoother and reducing unnecessary friction.
There have been many overall improvements to the story, including a more polished introduction, additional objectives, more clues, and richer details.
The story will conclude at a point where players feel their role is done, while still leaving room to expand the narrative by exploring other characters in the future. These story expansions will be released as free content updates in the future.
Below are some of the feedback-based improvements and fixes I made during the demo period:
Unusual Controller Layout: I received some feedback that the current gamepad control scheme felt unusual, with the (Y) button being used for back/cancel. This has been changed so that (B) is now the back/cancel button, matching the standard layout used in many other games.
Inconsistent Price Formatting: I also received feedback about price values being displayed inconsistently, sometimes as 12000, other times as 12.000, or 12,000. I went through every price display in the game and standardized the formatting, ensuring that all values are now shown consistently, such as 40.00 and 4,000.
I'll continue playing the game and making any necessary improvements throughout this week. Have a wonderful week, everyone!
Hello!
My Heaven's Dale is going to release next month, and through this post I'd like to share some announcements and additional details about the game and its upcoming release...
A new demo is now available for you to check out a more recent version of the game! Actually, it's hard for the demo to represent the game 100%, as numerous updates have been made since this update. However, the core experience remains the same, so take the opportunity to jump in and get to know the community!
I have been developing My Heaven's Dale since February 2024 and will be released in just one month, on July 21st. At the moment, the project is in a continuous polishing phase, with ongoing improvements and refinements being made until the release week.
The base price for My Heaven's Dale will be $11.99 USD. A 15% release discount will be available for the first 14 days after release.
Regional pricing has been manually adjusted in several regions, for example, from R$53.90 to R$23.90 in Brazil, to help ensure a fair price that better reflects the economic reality of each country.
This is one of the hardest metrics for a developer to estimate accurately.
My most recent save file has around 12 hours of playtime, and I still have only about half of the achievements unlocked. I haven't finished the main story, cooked any of the 18 available recipes, obtained all of the animals, or reached the final tool upgrades.
The reason this is so difficult to measure is that, as the developer, I already know exactly what to do and where to go in order to progress efficiently and test different parts of the game. Naturally, this results in much faster playthroughs than those of a first-time player.
The very first demo of My Heaven's Dale contained less than 30% of the content available today, yet some players still spent 8 to 10 hours playing it. With that in mind, I feel comfortable saying that 15+ hours is a safe estimate for a typical playthrough of My Heaven's Dale, with plenty of additional time available for completionists and players who enjoy taking things at a slower pace.
My Heaven's Dale, at the release day, will be available in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
Honestly, that's something that made me a bit frustrated. These are the only languages I have at least a basic understanding of in terms of how they are written. I did try reaching out to professional translators, but the costs were far beyond what I can currently afford.
At the moment, I make around $300 per month to cover my basic living expenses, and a full localization would cost somewhere between $4,000 and $8,000. I could use AI to translate the game into multiple languages, but that would mean losing control over translation quality. I chose not to rely on that approach, even if it means sacrificing the global reach of My Heaven's Dale during the release.
At the moment, 51 Steam achievements have been confirmed!
In addition to Steam achievements, the game features three achievement rooms located in your home's basement, giving completionists even more goals to work toward. However, some achievements will be exclusive to Steam and can only be unlocked through the platform.
My Heaven's Dale will continue receiving free content updates after release!
My goal is to release these updates alongside major Steam sales, such as the Summer and Winter Sale. This way, both new and returning players will have something to look forward to, whether that's new content to explore or a new discount for those who haven't joined the adventure yet.
I think that's all the information I wanted to share for now. I'll be paying close attention to feedback during Next Fest. Thank you so much for following My Heaven's Dale throughout this journey!
I will continue supporting the game and delivering major updates when the time is right.
See you soon!
Hey! we’ve reached 4,500 wishlists!! Somehow we keep growing more and more, and I’m truly grateful to all the content creators who took the time to talk about the game… thank you, so much!! 💖
Now let’s talk about the work I’ve been doing since February… I’ll bring some images this time!
Yes, marriage has arrived in Heaven’s Dale! There are 6 male and 6 female options. During marriage, your spouse will live and sleep with you. Throughout the 5 weekdays, on weekends, at night, and even in the rain, they will be in different locations, with new dialogue sets. There are many conditions for unlocking new love-dialogues!
And there is also a new dialogue option called “I love you” with variations in responses, a way to express your love!
The house customization system has been improved! Now, there is a single menu that shows the furniture you will be placing, which is very useful! +34 furniture added! Including... Bathroom ones!
Now, the books in the library provide benefits that directly affect gameplay! Here is an example:
Leveling up has become more interesting! You will obtain more ores as you level up, something that previously only applied to basic materials like wood and stone!
The gold collection effect now rises smoothly, accompanied by a juicy sound effect... obtaining gold feels much better!
The jewelry achievement room can finally be completed! Getting gems through moonstones has become a challenge now… will you be able to collect them all?
There are 144 more lines of minor updates, a lot of internal polishing, improved sound effects, graphics, and general feedback improvements applied. For example, you can now control the character using the arrow keys! This was a recent piece of feedback from the discussions, and I realized how much small details can make a difference for some people...
Oh! We are registered for the June Next Fest! I will be doing a final update to the demo at the end of May! And a release trailer will also be coming, showing many new things!
The release date for 1.0 is still in July. See you at Next Fest!
Hello! First of all, thank you to everyone! Recently, we reached 4,000 wishlists, something I never imagined achieving in just 10 months of steam-page. Thank you all so much!!
Now, let's talk about what I’ve been working on!
Over 50 friendship and romance scenes have been made! with more than 850 lines of dialogue written for 12 Romanceable characters! Each character has their own story and will gradually open up to you as you earn their trust.
All seasonal environments in Heaven’s Dale have gone through a complete makeover! Every map now has many new details, enhancing the visual diversity and atmosphere that each season brings.
The first floor of the mines has been reworked! Also, the Dwarf Shop is now available there! A new floor has been added, as well as the Mountain Peak, where you can buy Mountain Goats from the old hillbilly, complete your objective, and gain access to his abandoned cabin.
So, you played the demo and are now starting on the released build? Don't worry! You can skip all the introductory content and start playing as soon as possible!
You will now receive letters! This system allows me to deepen characters, inform you about festivals, give indirect tips, and keep things feeling fresh even if you don’t progress very much! With this in mind, the first week of the game has been reworked to have better pacing and more frequent new experiences.
For example, the fisherman will now give you the fishing rod on Day 5, which is a Rainy Day, with fewer distractions, so you can better enjoy the new mechanic!
The Pet Race will be available on the first Saturday of the game! You’ll receive two letters during the first week, preparing you for the upcoming festival, have fun!
You’ll be able to find an old diary left behind by the previous owner. Find all 20 pages to finally discover what happened to him, and what is truly going on in Heaven’s Dale.
Many other things were added and improved, such as dialogue rewrites, secondary scenes, new items, new recipes, new buildables… There’s also a new random sound effects system to bring more life to the world!
I’ll keep working on the game, and I plan to make one or two more posts like this before June, when we’ll be participating in Next Fest, one month before the July release.
Thank you for reading, see you soon! 💙
