Thank you for your continued support of SCRAP.
The release of the at-home REAL ESCAPE GAME My Favorite Streamer Dies a Million Times, originally scheduled for 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, has been postponed.
In light of the earthquake that occurred on Tuesday, July 28, and as the game contains certain scenes that require careful consideration under the current circumstances, we have decided to temporarily suspend its release.
A revised release date will be announced at a later time.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the game for this last-minute announcement. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience until the new release date.
This game is a puzzle adventure jointly developed by SCRAP, the creators of numerous REAL ESCAPE GAMES, and VELUX STUDIO, a developer of a wide variety of digital games.
The game’s defining feature is the ability to move freely back and forth through time by controlling the seek bar on a livestream.
The heroine of the story is Alagna Arai, a hardworking but clumsy and awkward streamer whom you simply cannot help but root for. For some reason, one accident after another occurs during her streams—and each time, she loses her life.
As Alagna’s childhood friend watching over her, the player rewinds time using the seek bar and tries to prevent her seemingly unavoidable deaths.
There are many ways to intervene: traveling into the past to prevent danger before it happens, posting comments to change Alagna’s actions, and even taking part in puzzle-solving battles between streamers.
By repeatedly reliving the same stream and discovering the best possible choices, your goal is to reach a future in which Alagna makes it to the end of the broadcast alive.
In this developer-notes series, we will look back on the development process and explore how the idea of “rewinding time with a seek bar” was born, how it evolved, and how it eventually took its current form.
In this first installment, we will introduce the story behind the creation of the original concept—the very starting point of the game.
The original concept was born during one of SCRAP’s regularly held “content retreats.”
It all began when puzzle creator Hikaru Sakaiya, who was attending the retreat, proposed a time-travel system that used a seek bar.
According to Content Director Kosuke Mayuzumi, who was also at the retreat:
ーーーーー
Sakaiya began his presentation by showing us a seek bar and saying:
“We all use a time machine in our everyday lives. This is it.”
The presentation got an incredible reaction from everyone in the room.
From there, the project was launched around the concept of “rewinding a dying streamer’s broadcast with the seek bar in order to save her.”
At first, we imagined using a live-action streamer. However, in search of something more distinctive and relevant to the current era, we decided to make the character a VTuber.
There was also an early concept for a game featuring five VTubers in addition to the main heroine, in which players would “uncover the dark side of VTubers.” As development continued, however, we ultimately decided to focus entirely on a single heroine.
ーーーーー
That is all for this installment.
Next time, we will explore the structure at the heart of the game—how saving the heroine again and again gradually makes you grow more attached to her.
My Fav ChillStreamer Dies a Million Times (hereafter referred to as Oshishinu) was jointly developed by staff from SCRAP, the creators of numerous REAL ESCAPE GAMES that have thrilled audiences around the world, and VELUX STUDIO, a developer known for its advanced technology and wide range of digital games.
The game was brought to life by a team of leading creators, each an expert in their respective field.
Here, we introduce their career highlights, notable works, and the passion and attention to detail they poured into Oshishinu.

We finally have an official release date for Oshishinu!
The game began with a simple idea: What if the seek bar—something we have all used in our everyday lives—could become a time machine?
With the help of so many people, I believe we have created a completely new kind of game unlike anything that has come before it.
A truly unexpected twist awaits you in the final scene, so keep saving Alagna again and again until you reach it!

I am a huge fan of puzzle-solving games myself, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to work on Oshishinu.
Even among the many puzzle games out there, I believe this one offers a truly unique experience. I hope you will give it a try!

Alagna meets her end in all sorts of imaginative ways.
I hope that as many of them as possible leave a lasting impression on you.
Please enjoy the many ways Alagna dies—or rather, the way she lives!

We wanted to create an experience that makes it feel as though Alagna is genuinely reading your comments, so we paid particular attention to making her reactions feel natural and varied.

Trying to come up with all the different ways Alagna could die gave me a headache in more ways than one.
I hope you enjoy discovering the fate that awaits her—and the truth that lies beyond it!

Comment
While working on the game, I had the strange sensation that, despite knowing it was a game, I was actually watching a real livestream.
I was also somewhat disturbed by the planners’ determination to create such an enormous variety of ways for Alagna to die.
Is it really okay to lead the heroine to her death this casually?
No, it is not.
So please—save her with your own hands.
We are excited to announce that the game will officially launch and become playable on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM (JST)! A 10% OFF launch sale will also be available for a limited time to get the best deal. Please look forward to "Your VTuber Crush Dies a Million Times on Stream," a brand-new style of Real Escape Game brought to you by the powerful collaboration between SCRAP and Welxx Studio!
