After some back and forth with Steam, we can now confirm PARASITE BLACK: GRIM DAYS will be available as a DLC on steam!

Not just that, but the COMPLETE first Volume covering the fall of Gerano arc!

Before Parasite Black.

There was Renia Lupinegar.

Grim Days tells the story of Renia Lupinegar, years before the events of Parasite Black.

She was supposed to die with Gerano.

Instead she survived.

Hello all!

I’m really slipping on these blogs.

Dev stuff.

Well, the simple reason for that is I’m working hard.

It’s quite a lot of pressure to keep producing the story because as soon as I get delayed everyone else starts to catch up.

I’ve been working mostly on Episode 10. I imply it’s big up in the title but it’s not actually that big… It's average. To me it feels big. There is a lot going on. Lots of options of what Randal chooses to do. The complexity has made it harder than usual to write but I think it’s looking pretty solid.

It was also big from an emotional point of view. Adding in heavier moments always feels a little intimidating in a game that is made for pleasure, but without the texture of ups and downs, the story would feel too one note and we need motivation for our protagonist to react to. 

We accidentally added another girl…

I’m keeping her involvement small so she doesn’t clog up the story. I’m also not making it obvious where to find her. She’s kind of like an easter egg but a very poorly hidden one. She has a connection to the plot and even if you don’t meet her on your playthrough of the episode, you’ll meet her in the future and that could be a somewhat awkward meeting depending on your choices.

I can take a moment to catch my breath over the weekend and then back to it. I need to race ahead of everyone so I can not worry about holding things up. Thankfully, actually doing the writing is the best bit of the job.

Hotfix Update – Save Issues, Art Hunt, Achievements & More

A small but important hotfix has just been released to improve stability and polish across the game. Here’s what’s been addressed:

• Saved game issues — Fixed several problems that could cause saves to not load correctly or behave inconsistently. (If your saved game keeps sending you back to the main menu, please start a new game.)

• Art Hunt minigame DLC — Adjusted logic and interaction triggers to ensure all Art Hunt activities work as intended.

• Achievements — Resolved multiple cases where achievements were not unlocking properly.

• Short Stories DLC translations — Updated and corrected localized text across all supported languages.

• Other minor fixes — Additional small improvements to overall stability and user experience.

These are our current planned dates. Most of them should be met, but, as always, this isn’t a set-in-stone commitment: delays may occur if something needs more polishing or unexpected issues arise.

We’re now at a point where the game is split between main episodes and other routes, and both require the necessary time to develop.

• To maintain a steady flow of content (with nearly double the monthly updates)

• Give the NTR, NTS, and Harem routes the depth they deserve

• Continue advancing the main story without slowing it down

We’ll keep you informed if there are any changes, but this is the current plan we’re working on.

Last week we shared the visual improvements we’ve made to the characters. For that reason, (and to keep things consistent), today we want to talk about how the animations will look during the scenes. Our goal is clear: we want players to have a certain degree of freedom when playing through a scene. The idea is to offer different camera angles, smoother animations, and spicier moments overall. Right now, we have around 22 scenes (a number that keeps growing), each with its own set of camera angles. As you already know, there are different routes, and depending on the choices you make, some scenes will unlock while others won’t. Since launching MBD, we have been carefully analyzing all your comments, what you like and what you don't like, and we are applying this to the development of MBD Kingpin. In addition, we have expanded our team so that we can offer you a product that meets your expectations and surprises you. We're continuously working to expand the game’s reach by adding more language options. However, we are committed to maintaining high-quality localization and have chosen not to rely on AI-generated translations especially for major languages where quality is critical. Instead, we’re hiring human translators and proofreaders through Fiverr, which incurs additional cost but ensures a better experience for players worldwide.

In this update, we're excited to roll out Turkish, Italian, and French language support! We’ve also implemented a series of minor bug fixes and stability improvements based on your feedback.
