Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to play my game. :D
Now, the soundtrack is available to get & listen to. Enjoy!

2 Left Thumbs and I have created a Discord server for Alias Studio. This is for any people interested in my current & future projects to gather and talk about stuff, goof around, and have some community in ways that are more difficult to do on other social media.
It's also a useful place to report bugs & give feedback on the game too.
If you liked Moon River & wanna talk about it with others who played the game, here's the spot! I'm active in the group too, so if you were curious about something then you can ask!
So, if you're interested... give it a look!

Up until now, the original version of Moon River has been playable as a public Demo. We wanted to make sure that the eventual "proper" release on Steam offered something new and exciting!
On June 19th, a special 2.0 update for Moon River will be released, marking the full official release on Steam!
This is the biggest content update the game has ever received, including new side regions to explore, an expanded story, and a fresh coat of paint on the game's graphics.
A new optional side region will be added to each main area. Each features new music, new characters to meet, and other things to find. I can't tell you where they are, you'll have to figure out where to find them.
Additional story content can be found somewhere in each of the new side regions. This will expand on the past of your player character, The Mariner, and what originally started them down the path of the game.
That's right! This update will include a touch-up of all the environments & overall graphics. When I originally made this game, I set some restrictions for the way sprites are drawn to save time, but I ended up breaking those rules anyway. This update will use the game's palette to its full potential, with more shading & anti-aliasing in the environment to make it nicer & more immersive. (*Character sprites & usable objects will still be 1-bit style so they can still pop out more.*)
As with any update, more bug fixes & patches will be applied (as well as some more long-unnoticed typo corrections).
Thank you to everyone who's played, wishlisted and shared this game! Your care & gameplay feedback has really uplifted this game to a much higher level. With this 2.0 update, everything that I felt was missing will be added and I can finally consider this game to be fully realized. Save the date!
Yesterday saw the release of Underboard, a new team-based tactical roguelike autobattler!
(The lead artist of which did the awesome custom art for this sale!)
4 more games have received official release dates! Each of which offers a public demo.
Dice A Million - Dice-rolling Deckbuilder Roguelike - February 25th
Crawling Angels - Physics-based Puzzle Horror - March 13th
Wasteland Bites - Survival Horror Food Truck Manager - April 3rd
Besmirch - Survival Horror Farming Sim - May 11th
There were too many announcements this year to include in store page post.

A medium-sized update, featuring a little bit of new content, quality of life changes and...
~a few accessibility features~
Yes, the main addition is an "Auto Run" feature. Simply push the 1 key on your keyboard and you'll always sprint in areas where it's allowed, so you don't have to hold the shift key down the whole time.
Another tweak is that there's now a little buzz sound when you try to run in a room where it's not allowed. This is to make it clear that your inputs are working properly, you just aren't able to run in that room. (This sound only plays when auto-run is OFF and the shift key is pressed.)
Thanks to Mike's Productions for suggesting these additions! They're fantastic ideas and will hopefully make the experience easier for those who have physical difficulty with specific game controls.
I also intended to include a text skip option in this update, but the feature is just broken on RPG Maker 2003. I tried adding Maniacs Patch, but it broke some other parts of the game. Also the text-skip feature could only work in debug mode, and it's not something I can really work around. I wish I could've added that here . :( Instead, I went through a lot more dialogue lines in the game and increased the scroll speed to maximum. Lots of NPC, background object, and story dialogue has been sped up to a less irritating speed.
v1.7, 10-24-25 (current version) * Added a new toggleable "Auto-Run" feature. This is for general quality of life as well as accessibility for those who have trouble holding down the run button continuously. * Added special SFX to indicate when the "Run" feature is not usable. This is to make controls feedback more clear. * Added new NPCs to various obscure areas. * Modified some NPC dialogue * Added new visuals to a cutscene on the fortress roof. * Fixed some minor color-inconsistencies in the red area * Enabled sprinting in most of the Cellar area. * Fixed an error in the credits sequence * Increased text scroll speed on a lot more dialogue. * Added some visual feedback for inaccessible doors.
ːsteamthisː A medium-sized update, no major changes.
This update fixes many bugs and also adds......
If any of you encounter any game-stopping bugs or get hard-locked, these save files are here to help! Simple replace your save files with these, and you won't have to start the game all over again! It's great those who've overwritten their save file after they've gotten permanently stuck somewhere. Each of these save files takes you to the beginning of each area. it's also nice for those who want to replay a specific section of the game, or realized they missed something earlier.
WARNING!! Use carefully. Any mid-area progress will be lost when replacing your save files. These take you to the BEGINNING of each area. (Also I wouldn't recommend using these to skip forward through the game unless you've already played it before.)
These are included in game's file location, which you can access by right-clicking the game from your library and selecting "Manage" and then "Browse Local Files."
Simply copy and paste the save files into the "Game" folder and you're good!
(You can also download them here on the itch.io page too.)
v1.6, 10-03-25
* Fixed a bug that disabled Running (and dancing) after a certain cutscene.
* Fixed a graphical error where the player's face is partially blue in area 3.
* Moved a sign in area 2 to a more sensible position
* Fully fixed the Briar Seed item questline
* Fixed a glitch where using the Dancing Bell in unintended areas caused
the player to become permanently stuck.
* Removed more unnecessary slow dialogue speed & pauses.
Major thanks to Hollow for pointing out the bugs fixed here and in 1.57
