Metal Suits: The Mac version is now officially released!
You can now play Metal Suits on Mac as well.
Hello, this is Link Compass.
It's been a while since our last Metal Suits map editor update — and we're excited to share what's new!
Loading & processing, now smoother than ever
We know the little hiccups you'd sometimes feel while saving or loading in the map editor. In this update, we've reworked the loading and processing pipeline to minimize stuttering and boost overall responsiveness. Even when working on larger maps, things should now feel a lot more fluid.
Custom fields, made easier to use
Setting up custom fields has always been one of the more hands-on parts of map making. We've improved the usability here, smoothing out the friction points you ran into while entering and checking values. Once you try it yourself, you'll notice the difference right away.
A brand-new dialogue feature
You can now add dialogue and message boxes at just the right moments in your map. This opens up more freedom to bring your own stories and storytelling into your maps.
Custom map feature update complete
The custom map feature within Metal Suits has been successfully updated. After all your patience, you can now build your own maps and enjoy playing through them yourselves.
Step by step, we're working to make your playtime even more enjoyable. Link Compass will keep pushing forward, every single day.
We'll keep refining the map editor going forward — thank you for your continued interest and support !
Hell difficulty has been added. Additional suits do not drop in Hell difficulty.
You can now check which stages each item can be obtained from in the Collectibles section of the Elix Notes. \
The acquisition method for UPC Medals and Kevin's Parts has been changed. They are now permanently saved upon collection, regardless of whether the stage was cleared or failed.
The Codex has been changed to a global save format. Progress that was previously saved per slot is now shared across all slots.
A bug that prevented progression on certain PC environments has been fixed.
An issue where Steam achievements were not being unlocked has been fixed. Any achievements that were not yet unlocked will be automatically granted upon launching the game.
The long-awaited Custom Map feature is now available! One test map is included, and the file can be found at \\\steamapps\\common\\Metal Suits\\CustomMaps. A web-based tool for creating your own custom maps is planned for release within 2026. Please refer to the upcoming dev log for more details.
Some difficulty description texts have been revised.
The development of the Map Editor began from a single,
precious message from one of our players:
"It would be great if there was a map editor feature."
We are currently building the Map Editor from the ground up, focusing not only on feature implementation, but also on making it as intuitive and easy to use as possible for everyone.
Link Compass is working day and night to bring each and every gamer a fun,
diverse experience filled with wonderful memories.
We're pouring our hearts into development,
eager to show you what we've been working on as soon as possible.
We hope for your continued interest and support!
1. Overall difficulty has been adjusted to accommodate a wider variety of playstyles.
2. Increased the invincibility duration when the suit is unequipped.
3. When the suit is lost, you can now acquire a new one at random spawn points.
4. Removed the suit energy depletion system.
5. Removed certain instant-kill patterns.
6. Added a Character Selection option. You can now choose your preferred style in the settings.
The wait is over!!
Finally, the new game mode, 'Override Gauntlet' - a Boss Rush content - has been updated!
Here, you will fight back-to-back against the powerful bosses from the game without a moment to rest.
Test your limits by mobilizing all the skills you've honed and the suits and items you've painstakingly collected in Story Mode.
Additionally, we have further lowered the 'Easy' difficulty in Story Mode to prepare an experience that beginners can easily play.
And so that more players can join this great journey, we have decided to permanently reduce the price of the game by 50%.
Face the new challenge right now, and be sure to tell your friends this awesome news!

Hi all, this is the METAL SUITS: Counter-attack dev team.
We've received many questions about our game's compatibility with the Steam Deck.
Currently, METAL SUITS is awaiting official 'Verified' certification for the Steam Deck.
This certification isn’t something developers can apply for directly — it's granted sequentially through Valve's own internal testing process.
But regardless of official certification, METAL SUITS runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck.
Our team has thoroughly tested the entire game on actual Steam Deck hardware and confirmed full compatibility — including controls, display, and performance.
We confidently promise a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience.
So don’t worry about the 'Unverified' status —
jump in and enjoy the thrilling combat of METAL SUITS on your Steam Deck today!
Thank you!
