I hope you’re all doing great.
I wanted to take a quick second to send a huge thank you your way. The support and feedback you’ve given Mercury Fallen has been incredible—honestly, as a solo dev, seeing people actually enjoy the world I’ve built is what keeps me going!
Speaking of that world... I have some exciting news! My other project, PACK :: Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit, is officially on sale. While the gameplay is a totally different, it actually takes place in the same universe as Mercury Fallen. If you’ve ever wondered what’s happening elsewhere in that timeline, this is your chance to see it firsthand.
Right now, you can grab PACK at 12% off! It’s the perfect time to jump in and see a different side of the apocalypse.
If you do decide to pick it up, please consider leaving a quick review. For a solo developer like me, Steam reviews are pure gold—they are the biggest factor in helping the game get discovered by new players.

Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas to you all! It has been an incredible year, and I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone who joined the Mercury Fallen community recently. Running this project as a solo developer is a deeply personal journey for me; it’s a passion project I pour my heart into, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing players enjoy the experience.
I’ve been working on a new game that recently launched in Early Access. While it’s a departure from Mercury Fallen, it belongs to a genre I’m equally passionate about. It also narratively exists in the same universe as Mercury Fallen. I’ve always found cleaning and restoration sims incredibly relaxing, and I’ve truly enjoyed crafting this new experience. PACK supports both single-player and co-op play. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please feel free to check it out! :)

As you may, or may not know, I'm currently developing PACK :: Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit. I’ve had a few people ask me why I’m working on such a different kind of game so I thought I would provide an answer for anyone curious.I began development of Mercury Fallen in late 2016 and it was released into early access in late 2017. In late 2023, after many many updates, the game was released out of early access. The development of Mercury Fallen took a long time, but as a solo developer I’m proud of what I created. I learned a lot about game development, but also a lot about project management. Two major things I learned are scope and scale. I had a general goal in mind when I began developing Mercury Fallen, but the scope wasn’t entirely clear which led to some longer development times and uncertainties along the way. The game also changed course based on player feedback, which was expected and great to have community involvement. Mercury Fallen became bigger and took longer than expected. There were many times where it was hard to know what “finished” meant for Mercury Fallen as new features could have continued to be piled on indefinitely. On a personal level I wanted to complete Mercury Fallen and work on something different, something with a smaller scope and scale.PACK :: Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit is a first person cleaning simulation game where you take on the role of a robot cleaning and restoring various locations after the fall of mankind. PACK was better planned out from the beginning to have a more clear scope and a smaller scale.
As the game is broken into separate levels I was able to pre-determine the amount of content I wanted to deliver. Even before I started serious development, I already had a sense of what “finished” meant. I know the general scale of the game and, for the most part, what it will take to complete.
So basically I’m working on PACK because it’s another genre of game that I personally enjoy and a project with more clearly defined goals. I’m super excited about PACK and I can’t wait to release it into Early Access for all of you to enjoy. If you have any questions regarding the development of PACK or questions about the game development process then be sure to reach here on Steam or on the PACK discord server.Because I too like pretty pictures, here is a work in progress screenshot from one of the levels coming in the Early Access Release. If you want to help support development you can become a patron for as little as $1. Exclusive benefits include early access to development builds of the game.
Be sure to check out the PACK demo and wishlist the full game on Steam.

As you may, or may not, know, Mercury Fallen is made using the Unity game engine and sadly a security vulnerability was recently reported.
Thankfully there is no indication that any player data or information has been compromised. Even better is that Unity has patched the engine to fix this issue. Mercury Fallen has been updated using the patched version of the engine and this hot fix addresses this vulnerability.
Fixed: Rebuilt to resolve security issue with Unity engine.
Thank you all for your amazing support! Be sure to wishlist Mercury Fallen and join the official Discord.
