To open these tough boxes you’ll need to “leverage” special Pry Bars that can be earned by completing Daily Super Event milestones and special Secret Stash Solo Objectives.

Hey all, and welcome to the Changelog for Season 66 of Alliance War! This is the first season running the Stone / Water Tactic, which has the unique distinction of being the first Tactic we’ve run that had all six classes inside of it. For some savvy players, you may notice the pool we have are part of the Ascension groups. This is a departure from the norm, and we hope players enjoy the change in pace. There are some new developments for Alliance War coming soon that we will be sharing in the coming months, so stay tuned for it. Until then, let’s jump into the Tactic and its details! Defense Tactics With this new Tactic, we wanted to experiment with Inexorable as the core Defensive threat to see if spacing is a direction we want to explore with future Alliance War Tactics. Because of the amount of Classes we have to account for, we put this threat under a predictable trigger so that each Defender has a good chance at triggering this threat. The same will go for the Attack Tactic, which will be looking for a variety of triggers to ensure there is value in each of the Attacking Champions in the Saga Pool in countering the Defensive Tactic. The details of the Tactics are as follows… Defense: STONE STONE - 1:
If the Defender is #Stone, each time they gain a Bar of Power they gain a 10% Inexorable Passive for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 1 second. Max stacks: 3.
STONE - 2:
If the Defender is #Stone, each time they gain a Bar of Power they gain a 15% Inexorable Passive for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 1 second. Max stacks: 3.
STONE - 3:
If the Defender is #Stone, each time they gain a Bar of Power they gain a 20% Inexorable Passive for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 1 second. Max stacks: 3.

Attack: WATER
If the Attacker is #Water, activating their Special Attack removes 1 Inexorable off of the Defender. Additionally, the following actions inflict an indefinite Splash Passive (max stacks: 3) on the Defender, which are not subject to Ability Accuracy:
Intercept the Defender
Power Drain, Burn, or Steal the Defender
Gain a Regeneration effect
Attempt to Purify or Cleanse a Debuff
Be Immune to either an Armor Break, Armor Shattered, or any Damaging Debuff
NOTE: A Splash Passive does the following to the Defender…
Reduces Defensive Combat Power Rate, and Ability Power Rate. Gaining Inexorable instantly removes the Inexorable and a Splash.

J. Jonah Jameson, an editor-in-chief who has been leaping into the headlines himself via a Spider-Slayer mech suit!
Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange is a Master of the Mystic Arts dedicated to defending the Earth against the darkest mystical adversaries!
When Peter Quill made the decision to take on the power offered to him by the ancient Founders, he expected his Spartax heritage to grow in strength. Instead, his human half was enhanced, granting Star-Lord lightning reflexes and better control over his Element Gun.
Toad, Vision (Deathless), Falcon (Joaquin Torres) and Spider-Woman are being updated, check out the website for more information.
Following the release of Alliance Coliseum in the previous build, we are now releasing Solo Coliseum! Enter the Coliseum alone and take on challenging opponents to earn lucrative rewards.

STOP THE PRESSES! J. Jonah Jameson has missed the Big Apple and gotten lost in The Savage Lands. He’ll need to call in a mystic debt and find a way back home before he starts making some unfortunate headlines!
Welcome to the Savage Lands, we’ve got fractures and pain. After a run-in with Isophyne and the Eidol empowerment ceremony, the Savage Lands have been bombarded with raw ISO energy. As part of this unintended ISO-boost, Saga-Tagged Champions have a Fractured Power Bar! This level of power control is a temporary and unpredictable bonus for the challenges that wait ahead!
Get your groove on, rock out, and beat up bad guys in this brand new, rhythm-fighting mode. Featuring music-inspired stages, original tracks and some of our more musically-inclined Champions, play this brand new experience before it’s too late!
Ultron has many problems, and now a glitch is amongst them. Problems started when Spider-Ham spotted Peter Parker beefing with a grumpy geezer in a mech-suit. Ham wanted a robot fight too, so he dropped into Ultron’s incursions and made a mess of it! This has resulted in GLITCH INCURSIONS that will allow Summoners to select from massive lists of NEARLY EVERY BUFF to create absurd combinations of power as they face down Ultron and other foes.
J. Jonah wants photos, PHOTOS OF CHAMPIONS! Keep an eye out for special Objectives and rewards that you can earn while participating in other special Events this month such as the Fractured Safari and Glitch Incursions! Keep up with a special Realm Event to earn progression-tuned rewards such as a FIRST APPEARANCE 7-STAR RHINO!

Hey all, and welcome to another Changelog for Season 62 of Alliance War! As we ramp up into the end of year, we have some exciting developments coming down the pipe for Alliance War. To ensure that those plans line up with other events for the End of Year, this Season will be 5 weeks long. 2 Weeks of Off Season, and 3 Weeks of On-Season, with 9 War Season matches rather than the normal 12. To compensate, we are lowering the threshold to qualify for season rewards from 5 to 4 wars. In addition, we have some minor changes for the map to allow for more Attackers to take on some Tricky Nodes, and reduce the difficulty of some key nodes on the map. What are those changes? Let’s find out, shall we?
Node 16 was a particularly rough placement for some players. Aggression: Fury is a Buff that stacks up quick, and with the right Defender, means that you could potentially be taking unavoidable damage which leads to a frustrating War Experience. Our in-house Balance Team has taken a look at recommendations, and we have settled on the following change broken down by Tier… ELITE

We have outright removed Aggression nodes from lower Tiers, and replaced the Aggression Node with Blood in the Water in higher tiers to push Non-Damaging Debuffs from Special Burst Tranquilize as the main threat. Purify / Cleanse those debuffs from you to avoid the increased damage from Blood in the Water, and you'll reign supreme upon any Defender that is placed on that node.
In addition, we have opened up the counters to Node 49 using a modified version of the buff, Polka Dot Power. Before, the node used to look for Damaging Debuffs alone. We’ve deemed it a restrictive node, and as a result, have decided to allow Passive Effects as well for players. This opens players up to let them use Champions who rely on Passive Damage Effects to earn Power for their Specials. This is now what the Node looks like between Tiers…

Greetings Summoners! I'd like to introduce the newest tool to our Academy – the Prestige Calculator! Prestige has been a stat that Summoners have wanted improved visibility to for a very long time – and with the latest updates available in-game, we are aiming to do something similar for you on the website with the latest tool joining the Academy – The Prestige Calculator! We are planning many different tools for the Academy that we want to bring to you, but I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about this one in particular and what our plans are for it going forward! Over the past two months, we pivoted to prioritizing this one in particular in order to try to get it out to the Community before Prestige 30 was used in Alliance Quest. Let’s start with answering a few questions that I know many Summoners are going to have.
That is a great question! In order to get this tool out to everyone as quickly as possible, there are a few things we were not able to get to in our first version. This is something that we are actively working on bringing to the next interaction, and we hope to have it for you very soon, because we understand how important it is! In the meantime, we wanted you to have something, rather than nothing, so that is why we have the information in intervals of 5 for you.
We are working on that – and we want to bring it to you. It is still something that is in-progress, and when we have more details to share, we will let you know!
Relics are something that will absolutely be added to a future version of this tool, as we want it to be a place for Summoners to look at their Prestige and every facet of it available to them. Coming soon to a Prestige Calculator near you!
If you have specific suggestions for things to add to the Prestige Calculator, make sure that you are talking about them on our Discord and our forums and here on our Steam Discussion page, so we can implement what you want to see!
We are doing our best to get all Signature Ability levels available on the Prestige Calculator. That is our priority. After that, there are several different factors that will determine which piece we work on next – but we will continue to work to improve it and make it a better tool for all of your prestige needs in The Contest! I hope you enjoy using this tool, Summoners, and that you stick around to see some of the exciting things we are bringing to you in the future!
Greetings Summoners!
We just pushed out a Hotfix on PC for both Steam and Direct Download to resolve the problem affecting custom keybinds. This hotfix should be available to download soon if you don't see it already.
Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue!
Cut down in a battle that should have meant his end, Vlad Tepes Dracula was infected with vampirism and rose again with darker powers. Growing in power over the centuries, Dracula now rules as the Voivode of the Vampire Nation. Though he plays the role of a refined leader, his thirst for blood and violence will never truly be sated.
The Punisher met a grisly end and was finally allowed to rest in peace. Unfortunately his rest is cut short as he roars to life on Doctor Michael Morbius' operating table. Frank was re-assembled to help The Legion of Monsters protect Monster Metropolis and its denizens from would-be monster hunters. Franken-Castle now continues his crusade for vengeance deep into his undeath.

Lotan, the cursed hammer of Jane Foster, has fallen silent but the threats to The Contest are far from over. Those who appeared as friends reveal their villainous intent. But not all hope is lost, there are still those who are willing to fight for the sake of The Battlerealm. The only question is, will they trust The Summoner to fight alongside them as they face down their biggest challenge to date?

Greetings Summoners!
Summoners Fest Tickets are now LIVE! For those attending, we can’t wait to see you in Vancouver.
Greetings Summoners!
As part of our continuing goal of bringing new and innovative experiences to The Contest, we aim to make The Battlerealm more dynamic, rewarding, and fun for Summoners of all levels.
Today, we dive into a trio of updates coming to Marvel Contest of Champions in September 2025, and we can’t wait for you to jump into the new Adaptive Difficulty Event Quest, the revamped Alliance Weekly Super Event, and explore the Daily Quest Rework. These changes are designed to streamline gameplay, reward teamwork, and offer challenges tailored to your progression. Let’s break it all down.
We’re revitalizing the monthly Event Quest with the introduction of Adaptive Difficulty. Starting in September, we’re moving away from the traditional six difficulty tiers (Contender, Proven, Conquerer, Cavalier, Uncollected, and Thronebreaker) to a single, dynamic difficulty that scales to your roster and progression level.
Personalized Scaling: The Adaptive Difficulty Event Quest adjusts its challenge based on your account’s progression (Cavalier, Thronebreaker, Valiant, etc) and Top 30 Prestige. Our aim is to ensure the quest feels appropriately challenging, whether you’re a new Summoner or a seasoned veteran. We believe that by consolidating the six difficulties into one, we’ll be providing a streamlined Event Quest experience that will appropriately scale as you progress your account through the Battlerealm. Rewards will also scale with the difficulty, ensuring higher-progression players earn rewards commensurate with their roster strength, while newer players still get meaningful progression items without feeling the need to do multiple difficulties.
This change allows us to craft richer, more focused Event Quests that deliver a cohesive narrative and gameplay experience tailored to YOU. We’ve heard your feedback over the years that our monthly content feels stale, and Adaptive Difficulty is our solution for more engaging and always up to date Event Quests.
Speaking of that, we also heard your feedback on our Valiant Event Quest Test Runs. If you’re PARAGON & ABOVE, you’ll be able to toggle on the new ELDER Difficulty, unlocking a more challenging version of the Event Quest that closely mirrors the structure of the first iteration of our Valiant EQ test. Elder Difficulty is meant to make our monthly content feel impactful even to our most engaged players. The first iteration will likely look familiar to you, and we may experiment with other formats in the future.
With Adaptive Difficulty, we’re able to allocate more resources to creating unique nodes, memorable boss fights, and exciting story beats. Instead of splitting our design efforts across six static difficulties, we’re pouring our energy into one quest that adapts to your skill and roster. Get ready to face the latest threats of the Battlerealm in a way that feels personal and rewarding.
On the topic of Top 30 Prestige, starting in October, Alliance Quest and Alliance Raids will transition to a Top 30 Prestige System, moving away from the current Top 5 Champion and Relic Prestige model. Going forward, your Top 30 Champions and Top 30 Relics will combine to account for your Top 30 Prestige.
This change aims to streamline Prestige across the Battlerealm, offering a broader and more inclusive approach to roster strength in these game modes. Alongside this update, we're wanting to make managing prestige a lot easier. There will be a top 30 prestige view, and you will also be able to sort your roster by prestige.
We’ll dive deeper into the details of this shift and what it means for your Alliance in its own dedicated post coming soon!
The Alliance Weekly Super Event is here to replace the Summoner Advancement and Engagement events, which kicked off on August 11 and will run weekly going forward.
Similar to the Daily Super Event, the Alliance Weekly Super Event offers rewards earned through collective alliance activities like Alliance Quest, Alliance War, Battlegrounds, and Incursions. The higher your alliance’s milestone, the better the rewards, including T7B shards, Glory, and more.
The Alliance Weekly Super Event will be utilizing Peak Milestone rewards, meaning rewards are distributed based on the highest milestone your alliance achieves by the end of the week.
While units have been shifted to the upcoming Daily Quest Rework (more on that below), the Alliance Weekly Super Event includes valuable resources to fuel your journey in the Battlerealm.
We’ve seen some community concerns about the absence of certain rewards like energy refills, revives, and boosts in the initial Alliance Weekly Super Event rollout. We definitely understand those concerns in particular because the Daily Quest Rework was initially slated to launch alongside this update where you’d have seen the majority of these rewards allocated throughout. That being said, we’re actively listening to your feedback and working to ensure this event feels as rewarding as intended.
Starting in September, the Daily Quest Rework will transform your daily gameplay into a more rewarding experience. We’re replacing the current class-based Catalyst quests with a new structure focused on variety and accessibility. These are meant to be auto-playable content, and are a great way to kick off your Daily Super Event earnings.
Daily Quests will now have two always active quests, one geared toward resources (Gold, ISO-8, etc.) and the other on Catalysts of all tiers, including lower-level ones for newer (or nostalgic) players. We’ll also be introducing our Supply Run Daily Quests. These run Monday through Saturday, with each day offering different materials. Units previously earned through Alliance Events have been moved to the Daily Quests so you’ll need to use energy to access these rewards, but we’ve balanced the costs to keep them fair. Completing a Supply Run will earn you a Supply Intel that you can use to enter the Super Version of this Supply Run Quest on Sundays. It will take 4 Supply Intels to enter, and the Sunday Run is extra juicy - so make sure you’re playing these!
This rework aims to make Daily Quests a consistent source of progression resources while giving you more control over what you prioritize each day. Whether you’re hunting for 7 Star Sig Stones or stocking up on Gold, there’s something for every Summoner. With the addition of Supply Run Daily Quests and the Super Run on Sundays, every quest offers greater value than ever before, ensuring your time in the Battlerealm yields richer rewards to accelerate your roster’s growth.
We want to be transparent about a change to the Alliance Weekly Super Event that’s tied to the introduction of Adaptive Difficulty in Event Quests. Previously, the Alliance Events included energy refills to support tackling multiple Event Quest difficulties. With the shift to a single Adaptive Difficulty Event Quest, the total cost of energy across multiple tiers has been significantly reduced. As a result, we’ve scaled back the number of energy refills available in the Alliance Weekly Super Event to align with this streamlined experience.
As we move beyond 10 years of The Contest, it is important that we iterate, innovate, adapt and grow. That sometimes means the things we update and revamp may not always be on a 1:1 ratio or we allocate them in different areas as you’ll see with the Daily Quest Rework.
With that, we do understand energy is a hot topic - many of you have voiced concerns about energy costs and caps, and we hear you loud and clear. We hope that you’ll find value in this change and know that we’ll continue exploring ways to optimize energy usage across the game. As always, we’ll continue to monitor your feedback to ensure the Alliance Weekly Super Event and Daily Quests feel rewarding and sustainable. And of course, if you have thoughts on how we can improve, please share them on the forums or other Community spaces.
These updates mark a bold step forward for Marvel Contest of Champions. We aim to keep the Battlerealm fresh with these changes, and we’re excited to see how you engage with the Adaptive Difficulty Event Quest, Alliance Weekly Super Event, and Daily Quest Rework. We’re committed to iterating on these systems based on your feedback, so keep those comments coming in the usual spaces.
Thank you for your passion and dedication to The Contest.
Greetings summoners! Battlegrounds Season 31 is the third season within the Fantastic Force saga and the second and final season of Qualifiers for the Battlerealm Brawl 2025 tournament. If you’re one of the lucky qualifiers, we will see you in Vancouver, Canada, in person, later this year! Woo-hoo!
As per usual for the season, we have a new Buff Meta and Emote up for grabs if you can rain down victory and make it to the Gladiator Circuit!

Qualifiers for the tournament were held over Season 30 and will conclude at the end of Season 31.
If you finish the Season in the Top 100 of the Gladiators Circuit, you will obtain a unique emote “The Champion holding up the Battlerealm Brawl logo!” and then will be assigned Battlerealm Brawl Qualifier points.
A special Battlerealm Brawl Qualifier (BRB) leaderboard will track the placements of each Summoner through each season.
After the conclusion of both qualifying Seasons, the Top 8 Summoners in the BRB leaderboard will be offered a place in the Battlerealm Brawl 2025 tournament during Summoners Fest.
A first-place finish in either of the qualifying seasons guarantees an invite to Summoners Fest.
From the Home page, tap on the Trophy Icon.
If it’s not already selected, tap on Category and select Battlerealm Brawl Qualifier.
You will then see the leaderboard and Summoner placements.

Hey all, and welcome to another Changelog for Season 60 of Alliance War! While it all remains quiet on the Alliance War front, there are some housekeeping changes for Alliance War that we do want to inform you about while we continue cooking up some new events to keep you engaged within this mode. So let’s keep this short and sweep and get into the start dates for Season 60, as well as the Bans that you’ll be planning around this coming Season!
To streamline the scheduling of Alliance War, new Seasons coming up will not be referred to with a Season Number in-game, nor will they have a name. Instead, these seasons will either be on, or off for the in-game player base. However, for clerical needs, these Forum Posts will retain their Season No. convention to make it easy to refer to when updates will occur and for what season according to the date.

The result of this nightmarish design, an Eidol whose thirst for destruction is matched only by his hunger for power. With the ability to freeze their opponent with a mere touch, they hunger to absorb all the power in The Battlerealm, before releasing this overwhelming power on any who would dare stand in their way.
A manifestation of negative potential that is a dark reflection of all the psionic power and potential of Charles Xavier. This sister was thought to be destroyed but somehow she rebuilt herself cell by cell for decades. Now, wielding power and hate in equal measure, she seeks to destroy all that her brother has built.
M.O.D.O.K. and Yondu have been fully reworked, and Patriot has been rebalanced. Check out our Blog for more specifics on these exciting updates.
Solvarch, Wolf of the Stars, is a formidable foe capable of draining energy at the atomic level from those who dare oppose them. This danger is made all the worse by a second villainous arrival: Cassandra Nova. This mentally manipulative monster seeks to torture The Summoner while allowing Eidol threats to grow. Will The Contest be able to recover from this double dose of danger?
Available starting August 13. Old foes have returned and are more dangerous than before. Enter the all new Crucible Quest Chapter: Act 8 - The Rebirth and fight your way through a gauntlet of Act 8 bosses. Be wary and stay vigilant, as your arsenal of Champions will need to be vast to overcome this plethora of unrelenting challenges. A fruitful reward will be at the ready for any Summoner courageous enough to battle their way through and conquer these combatants once and for all. This Quest will be available permanently, even after the Rebirth Event has passed! Try Normal Difficulty to pace yourself, or dare to enter into the Legendary Difficulty to defeat all Bosses in a single path! Both difficulties will require a deep collection of Champions as you face Elimination Choice Nodes which will force you to choose your solo challenger carefully.
Compete to earn Rebirth Tokens and acquire exciting 7-Star Champions Night Thrasher, Anti-Venom, Doctor Voodoo, Cull Obsidian, Viv Vision, and Sabretooth!
Challenge corrupted Champions with a twist! This month those who have become Proven or higher will face down challenges that have been tuned to allow your 2 and 3-Star Champions a chance to take on the frightful Ouroboros Bosses.
Introducing Solo Raids! This new Quest type will allow Summoners to experiment with various Champion, Role and Boost combinations to find those which work best for taking on the real thing. For a limited time, this daily quest will feature a Solo Objective that will award Raid Tickets, Refined XP and Daily Super Event Points!
Similar to the existing Daily Super Event, this will coincide with the deprecation of the Summoner Advancement and Summoner Engagement Events. The Alliance Weekly Super Event will take the rewards from these Events and more, and fold them into a more meaningful and intentional experience.
Are you as good as a Battlerealm Brawl Champion? Take on this solo quest that revisits the match-ups and metas from Fintech’s winning run in Battlerealm Brawl 2023!

This month, for those who have become Proven or higher, you’ll face down challenges that have been tuned to allow your lower Tier Champions a chance to take on the frightful Ouroboros Bosses! A more approachable version of the Act 8 Crucible, one difficulty level and restricted to using 2 Champions (and 3 star Champions for the End Bosses).
Defeat the first map using 2 star Champions, swapping after each fight, to unlock the 2nd map.
In addition to completing the first map you must also be Uncollected or above to enter Map 2 and take on the End Boss
While we have simplified some fights by reducing Boss buffs, Chapter End boss kits are unchanged.
Complete Solo Objectives for rewards and points towards the Crucible Rebirth Realm Event to earn more rewards and exclusive profile picture.
Chapters 1 and 2 unlock the first week, then Chapter 3 the next week and Chapter 4 the week after.
#Saga Attackers gain some additional boosts thanks to Invisible Woman!
Take on the Mini-Crucible! Prepare your 15 2* Champions (some of the gifted maxed out Champs from Force Recruitment perhaps?) and have a 3 star and maybe some relics ready to take on the Chapter End bosses. Proceed through Map 1 each week, swapping out Champions between each fight, completing the path to unlock Map 2. Enter Map 2 with a 3* Champ and take on each Quests End Boss.
Complete the first Map of each Chapter to finish Quest 1 and complete Solo Objectives. Facing one path and one difficulty, Summoners will proceed through the fights to unlock progression based rewards along the way. Completing Objectives will also earn points towards the Crucible Rebirth Realm Event
Open The Fantastic Force Saga Crystal for your chance to add the following Champions to your roster! Doctor Doom, Tigra, Spider-Man (Supreme), Rintrah, Mojo, Mangog, Mordo, Kindred, Enchantress, Bastion, Red Skull, Peni Parker, Arnim Zola, Iron Man (Infinity War), Ant-Man (Future), Omega Sentinel, Warlock, Silver Surfer, Gorr the God Butcher, Galan, Captain Marvel, Phoenix, Hyperion, Angela, Superior Iron Man, Odin, Terrax, Scream, Count Nefaria, Mister Fantastic, Falcon (Joaquin Torres), The Leader, Ant-Man, Abomination (Immortal), Quicksilver, Red Guardian, Sentry, Morbius, Human Torch, SandmanSpider-Woman (Jessica Drew)
The August Rebirth Event features a pool of Champions released at the 7-Star rarity for the first time! That pool is:
Viv Vision
Cull Obsidian
Doctor Voodoo
Anti-Venom
Night Thrasher
Sabretooth
Any time we prepare for the release of Champions at a new rarity, we seek to ensure they can land as well as possible to progress the game and provide Summoners with a fun experience. This involves taking into account how they can be obtained, how they fit into the meta-game of The Contest, and their general power level, just to name a few considerations. Sometimes, these factors lead us to ask questions like “Should we update this Champion,” or “If we wanted to, would we even have time amidst everything else we’re doing?” The small updates to Abomination (Immortal) in the Heart of Fire event is a recent example of this.
In the case of the Rebirth pool, we identified that all the Champions could be released as-is, but that we would love to update some of them. In this case, our Champion and Balance teams were just able to squeeze in updates to everyone we felt could benefit from modernization–all of them with the exception of Viv Vision, who only received some small cleanup and bug fixes because we already expect her to be quite a powerful addition to the 7-Star roster. All six champions benefited from a thorough bug pass, though, and will perform a bit more reliably because of that.
Before dropping the full change log below, we want to be really clear about expectations for future additions of Champions to the 7-Star or any new-to-them rarity: our general goal is to release fun, relevant Champions. As time allows, for any pool of Champions released at a new tier, we may want to perform a small update of anyone we feel falls too short of a modern Champion, with consideration of the acquisition method in mind.
What exactly does “as time allows” mean? What is the definition of a healthy, interesting, usable, modern Champion? How does the acquisition method matter? These are nuanced and situational enough that we want to consider these on a case-by-case basis rather than trying to establish some rigid guidelines. The above philosophy will be our guiding light, and this experience will inform future similar cycles just as Abomination (Immortal) in Heart of Fire informed this one.
With that said, the changes to this pool of Champions ended up being a bit bigger than initially expected–in no small part due to the fact that some of them are relatively old kits, but also because they’re so beloved by some of the designers. We are thrilled to bring you these updates and hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them.
Added: start with 3 Persistent Charges in Battlegrounds and Alliance War fights
Removed Mission 3’s 95% Health threshold requirement
Increased Thanos’ Favor Buff on-hit pause duration from 1 to 2.5 seconds
Swapped Thanos’ Favor Buff effects for 3 and 5 stacks. 3 Thanos’ Favor Buffs now provides True Accuracy and 5 grants Critical Damage Rating

Increased Special Attack 2 Armor Break pause duration from 2 to 5 seconds
Added: While above 1 Bar of Power, Heavy Attack consumes 0.5 Bars to apply a Loa Buff

Even: Voodoo’s attacks gain a 50% chance to Steal 2.5% of his Opponent’s Max Power, gaining 10% of the Power Stolen. Max stacks: 3.
Odd: Voodoo inflicts a 2% Power Dissolve Debuff for 10 seconds. Max stacks: 3.
Added: Personal Passives are paused during Specials and for 5 seconds on Striker activation.
Changed Genetic Memory Debuff application trigger from every 10 hits in either Champion’s Combo Meter to every 10 times either Champion is struck

Added: start with 5 Passive Furies (Combo-based potency) in Battlegrounds fights
Increased Combo-based Fury duration from 5 to 6 seconds
Added: Once Sabretooth has converted his maximum possible Furies per fight, Combo-based Furies gain 200% duration and 50% potency.

Expanded Special Attack 1 Fury conversion trigger from first hit to first and last hit
Added: Special Attack 2 also triggers a Regeneration effect for 10% of missing Health over 15 seconds

Hey all, Balance Team here again with an update on the latest round of Champions up for review, Falcon (Joaquin Torres) and Arnim Zola!
The Battlerealm’s newest Falcon in Joaquin Torres was designed to be a well-rounded Attacker, using a wide range of Debuffs to mitigate incoming Damage, counter his Opponent’s threats and enhance his damage output. While his kit features 2 distinct modes to choose from, Joaquin Torres thrives once he reaches Peak Performance, allowing him to benefit from both his Offensive and Defensive themed modes at the same time. Equipped with a few abilities targeted at annoying Mystic opponents (Slow, Debilitate, replacing the Precision Buff from Dexterity with a Trauma Pause), we’re happy to see his matchup spread reflect his targets, albeit with varying performance depending on the game mode. While Falcon’s performance is in a good spot in Quests with longer encounters and a wide range of opponents, we’re seeing Falcon struggle to get his loop going in encounters with shorter runway and higher pressure (e.g. Battlegrounds), and will be looking to make changes to address this. Changes incoming for Joaquin!
Arnim Zola entered the contest armed with a new spin on Tech Power Control with his combo of Special Lock and Combat Power Reduction, while also leveraging damage mitigation and loop disruption as his core Defensive identity. In PvP modes, Arnim Zola has landed and continued to make an impact as a powerful stall threat, with one of the highest average Defending fight times in Battlegrounds across recent seasons. Since release, we’ve seen summoners adapt to Arnim Zola’s unique defensive kit with a variety of strategies, and are happy with his impact on the meta. As an Attacker, the burst of Direct Damage granted by his Signature Ability has proven to be an important piece to his Damage reach, and is overall in a healthy range for a kit that heavily leans on Damage Mitigation and Power Control. Overall we’re happy with how Zola has landed and will not be making any changes to his kit!
Falcon (Joaquin Torres) will be a part of Batch Update #2 - slated for our 54.1 (January) build! So far, the 2 confirmed Champions in Batch #2 are:
Vision (Deathless)
Falcon (Joaquin Torres)

Weeks 3-4
Start:
Wednesday, Jul 23, 2025
