Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
I wanna thank everyone for a super amazing launch! All your feedback has been invaluable, and I'm excited to both address issues and expand the content available for Lured In.
This small update focuses on QOL and critical bugfixes, as well as some rebalancing of some synergies. Steam Deck and controller should also be more usable now.
If you run into any issues, let me know in the Steam forums, or over on Discord. Thanks!

Added scroll hints to every scrollable section. Now a slight shadow shows up when a container is not fully scrolled
Added the ability to focus certain scroll containers on controller, like the fishpedia description, synergies list, and credits
Added a setting to hide the fishing input prompt in the fishing region
Added a little icon that appears when you have casted into a water event and are receiving the 2x fishing speed bonus
Updated all translations and the list of contributors
Increased the Salty Giants synergy multiplier from 1.25 to 2.5
Increased the Longlubbers synergy multiplier from 1.25 to 1.75
Fixed an issue where the game could reset all your data if you pressed either yes or no on the reset data prompt, then pressed yes on the ascension or liquid swap warning prompt
Fixed an issue where the cursor on controller couldn't reach the bottom of your shop
Fixed an issue where opening the fishpedia for the first time would show things that should be hidden, like the background and sparkles
Fixed an issue where the panels inside of the travel menu would be cut off when moving through with controller
Over a year since the initial concept, and 6 months of development time, Lured In is finally out! But really it even goes back further, from the times I played Fish Tycoon and other incremental games as a little kid. It's crazy that we've finally made it!
You can now enjoy a significantly expanded experience from the demo, including:
Shop expansions
Lures
The Coral Reef
Tons of new fish
New upgrades
Fish synergies
Large tanks
Countless bugfixes, QOL, and balancing
If you'd like to further support Big Boy Games, then please consider checking out our full collection! This includes our first game Pogo Rocket, and our co-op space adventure Starground.
Though Lured In is fully released, I still have loads of content planned out. Soon we'll start tackling our first big content update, v1.1, which will include bait, more fine-tuned minigame control, and more!
At some point, I will also be looking at tackling a mobile version, and macOS build as well. So stay tuned for more on that!
If anyone has any feedback on what features they'd like to see next, let me know over in the Steam forums, or on Discord.
No game is ever a single person's effort, so I want to thank everyone who has helped make Lured In a reality. The community has been an enormous help in playtesting and translation. And massive thanks to the other people who directly contributed parts of the game, including Sunny, Ollie, and Jack.
And big thanks to our publisher Graeme of 2 Left Thumbs!
In precisely 1 month on August 17th - also from 2 Left Thumbs - will be the launch of Void Pachinko!
This physics-based ball collecting pachinko-like more closely follows the more recent "incremental" definition, resulting in a rapidly scaling experience that can be beaten in ~4 hours. If you are interested, please try out the demo and/or drop it a wishlist!
And the Lured In Demo is available to play in 49 HAND-TRANSLATED LANGUAGES!!
(This includes a couple gag inclusions like Fish, Klingon and Pirate)
After a viral Short discussing the challenges of localizing games, we had a surge of volunteers show up to help us translate the game (proudly!!) without the use of AI!! We are certain there will be a few errors from juggling this many languages at once, and several of them are only partially completed (shown visually with the percent bar in the language selection menu)
We deeply appreciate your patience, and will continue to improve our international support with each passing update. Please share your feedback either in the Steam discussions, or the official Big Boy Games Discord server!
The growing new-wave of incremental games covers an incredible variety of genres! And 2 Left Thumbs is proud to represent multiple games, also taking part in this Steam Next Fest. If you love the progression of incremental games, watching numbers soar ever higher, with plenty of fun twists to stand out in the crowd - then I recommend checking out these other titles as well! Your support is greatly appreciated.

Regions will now have "water events", which right now include fish splashes and bubbles. These are things that happen in the water to aid (or harm) the player's chance of getting fish. This will be expanded out more in the future.
We've also got four new fish, which really help flesh out some of our regions, particularly rare fish drops (which also has a new system, making rare and legendary fish way more common)
Stormy weather is here, which is like rain, but, Stormier
And lastly, minigames now change their background to reflect the rarity of fish you are catching.
