Hey Slackers,
We’ve decided to permanently lower the base price of Lunchbreak Tactics from $19.99 USD to $14.99 USD.
Simple reason: we want more people to feel comfortable jumping in, and we want the community around the game to grow.
We love the game we made, but we also know price matters, especially right now, and especially on Steam where players have a lot of great indie games to choose from. After looking at the current market and listening to feedback, this new price just feels like a better fit.
We also want to acknowledge everyone who supported the game early. We’re grateful you jumped in first, and we don’t take that lightly. This price change isn’t meant to diminish that support, but to help the game find a better place moving forward. ❤️
Thanks again to everyone who played early, gave feedback, reported bugs, or told a friend about the game. Launching a game is a process, and we’re learning through it. We’re still improving Lunchbreak Tactics, and we hope this helps give the game a fairer chance to reach more Slackers.
See you at Lunchbreak!
Hey Slackers! This is a small hotfix mainly aimed at improving latency in certain regions, and reducing lag and disconnects where some of you have been having a rough time.
While we were in there, we also shipped a few extra fixes:
Mystic 8, Mystic Stone, and Demon Blood issues are now resolved,
the “Team Coupon Warriors” achievement is finally obtainable,
and we addressed multiple Mirrusa problems.
We also fixed the Rubbermaid issue.
Hey Slackers! 🎉

📺
See you in the break room! 🃏
Some more issues were causing some people to be unable to play the game, so we wanted to have a fix as soon as possible!
🎮Big screens are saved!
• Fixed a situation where people with a wide enough screen resolution (say 5120 x 1440) could not click out of the disclaimer and were stuck on the introduction page. This fix does not guarantee the whole game playable with all superwide resolutions, but it ensures that any resolution can at least make it to the main menu and access the settings page so that they can then change their graphics settings.
✨ Improvements
• Small localization updates and fixes for Korean, French and Traditional Chinese
• Added some automatization to our matchmaking process so that players match teams of their level more often
• The rain on the defeat page now has a more reasonable scale
• Minor UI optimizations
🛠️ Bug Fixes
• Fixed a bug where sometimes the sound effects for going up and down a rank were either not playing or playing at the wrong time
• Fixed a bug where unlocking something after a patch would show a blank white square instead of the right image
• Fixed a bug where unlocking Scout Kindfetch would not show him as unlocked until you restarted the game
We tried to address some issues and bugs brought to our attention recently, hopefully this fully crushes them!🐛🔨
🛠️ Bug Fixes
• Summon bug where sometimes units wouldn't summon properly if they died or took damage during the clash should be resolved! This includes both bugs with the Slow Queen and the Gloom Dispenser.
• Fixed a bug where spamming the reroll button at the start of shop or during loading could result in broken behaviours.
• Added fallbacks in the shop, now errors should allow players to reload or the correct info should load instead of freezing the game.
• Visual bug when rerolling cards getting a cost reduction from the Merchant fixed.
Instead of resetting the season at the start of the month, it resets today (23rd) and will end on the 28th at 11:59 PM.
The normal one-month season will be back in March.
The Vainglory Family is here! We are adding 2 new EXCLUSIVE heroes, available only until the game launches in Q2 2026.
Jewel Vainglory: a showman, a drama king who turns every step into a performance. He doesn’t work at the store per se, but can always be seen getting into shenanigans with his sister, Rosalyn.
Rosalyn Vainglory: chaos wrapped in genius, a wild spirit who plays tricks but always lands her mark. Bright, fast, unpredictable, she’s most often seen wreaking havoc in the seafood department.
New rank progression (easier to reach lower ranks).
New coloring for certain heroes.
Last season’s Ultimate Slacker is now displayed on the leaderboard.
Team names are no longer localized.
Slick parallax animation on the home page.

Reworked how all summons work (they should now behave more consistently).

Clans are now in the same order in the selection screen.
Optimization continues…

Steam Next Fest from February 23 to March 2
The trailer is now live and the hype is building, so this month is the perfect time to jump back into the demo. Stay tuned, we are also planning a surprise for Next Fest! 👀
Since our reveal back in September, a lot has happened and we want to start with one thing: thank you.
Nearly 4,000 players have tried the demo since then. Some of you put in an incredible amount of time, including a few players who went past 100 hours. That kind of support is genuinely appreciated.
We have also loved seeing the Discord community take shape. People are jumping in, sharing builds, giving feedback, and helping each other out. Watching that grow day by day has been one of the best parts of this whole process.
We listened closely to your comments. One of our first priorities after the reveal was to make the game simpler to understand, more original, and more accessible, while also stepping further away from similar games in the genre. To get there, we reworked most of the units and many of the core systems.
Another major focus has been polish. We put a huge amount of work into optimization, smoothness, UX clarity, and VFX. We also improved audio and music, plus a long list of smaller details that add up to a better-feeling run.
Now we’re entering the final stretch toward a Q2 2026 release, and February is a big milestone month for us: Québec Games Celebration, the Québec Games Celebration Showcase, Demo Night Live on February 21, and Steam Next Fest starting February 23.
