Hello Anomaly Hunters!
I've been working solo behind the scenes on a massive transformation for a long time. I wanted to finally share the first official "sneak peek" from the journey towards the Lost in Anomaly 1.0 full release.
My goal wasn't just to upgrade the graphics; I wanted to build a realistic atmosphere that makes you feel the claustrophobic and eerie nature of the facility in your bones. That's why I have completely overhauled the game's entire visual infrastructure.
The corridors of Section 9 are no longer just the plain, cold walls you once knew. Volumetric foggy lights, floor reflections, and the pitch-black darkness at the end of those long corridors... The facility has turned into a nightmare, and you will feel it much more clearly: you are not alone in that darkness.
The rules are being rewritten. I'm working full steam ahead to bring the 1.0 release to its most stable and atmospheric state! (WIP - Work in Progress)
Hello everyone,
I want to be as transparent as possible with this amazing community. Lost in Anomaly is my debut project as a solo developer, and creating this anomaly-based horror experience from scratch has been a massive learning curve. I am incredibly grateful for the support you've shown.
I’ve seen questions regarding the lack of updates since December 2024. As this was my first title, I reached a point where I felt the need to step back to sharpen my technical skills and explore more advanced development methods. As a solo creator, it was important for me to learn how to provide the quality that this project deserves. The recent surge of new players has truly motivated me to bring those new skills back to the game and finalize my vision.
I am officially working towards the Full Release (Version 1.0). This phase is dedicated to bringing the experience to its full, intended state and finalizing the vision I have for the game.
Multiplayer Clarification: I want to clarify that Lost in Anomaly is strictly a single-player experience. I did not add the "Multiplayer" tag myself. It currently appears under the user-defined tags section, which is a community-driven feature on Steam. I am currently working with Steam Support to have this removed to ensure the store page accurately reflects the gameplay.
New Gameplay Modes: To cater to different playstyles, I am introducing two distinct ways to experience the anomaly:
Pure Anomaly Mode: Focuses entirely on observation, mystery, and atmosphere. This mode will not include the monster or any horror elements, allowing you to focus solely on the anomaly-hunting mechanics.
Classic Horror Mode: The full, intended experience. This includes all anomalies, along with the original horror elements and the monster that define the game's tension.
Bugs & Difficulty Balancing: I am investigating current bug reports and looking into the game's difficulty to ensure the "Classic" experience is fair but terrifyingly immersive.
Technical Enhancements: I am researching ways to improve the overall visual fidelity and immersion while maintaining solid performance.
While I’m not setting a specific release date yet to ensure the highest quality, please know that active development is back in full swing. I am dedicated to making Version 1.0 the polished, definitive version of Lost in Anomaly.
Thank you for your patience and for supporting an independent creator's first project.
