Your cabin is about to get a lot more personal. This free update adds a brand new décor category to Log Away: country flags. There are 42 of them, from homelands near and far, and every single one is free for everyone who owns the game.
Some cabins sit by a quiet lake, some on a sunny beach, some high in the mountains. Now every one of them can carry a reminder of where the heart lives. Hang your flag by the front door or out on the porch and watch it wave in the breeze.
From the United States of America to Canada, Spain to Germany, Japan to Brazil, Ireland to India, there is a good chance yours is in. And if it is not, tell us in the comments. We would love to hear which flags you want to see next.
You'll find the flags as a new décor category. Pick your country, choose a spot, and you're done. They fit right in next to your fences, garden beds, and that wooden bear on the porch. Good to know: you can change the texture of the pole to match the texture of the walls and/or other items.
This free update is live now. If you already own Log Away, the flags are waiting for you. And if you're new here, welcome in. The kettle is on.
Happy building!
Your fence collection just tripled. This free update adds 13 brand-new fences to Log Away, taking your options from 5 all the way to 18. Whether you're edging a flower bed, closing in a garden, or giving your cabin a tidy finishing touch, there's now a fence for every corner of your little world.
From the timeless charm of a white picket fence to the quiet elegance of wrought iron, the new additions cover a wide range of looks. Prefer something softer? A living hedge brings a natural, green boundary that grows right into your landscaping.
Lovers of the rugged look are well covered too - rough rustic boards, sturdy plank walls, and a handsome stone pillar paired with wooden rails. Each one carries its own character, so you can match the fence to the mood of your build, from a weathered homestead to a neat cottage garden.
Building a little play area? The colorful, kids-themed fence adds a splash of fun. Want something a bit different? Bamboo brings a calmer, more exotic feel to your retreat. Mix, match, and layer them to make each space your own.
As easy as ever: pick your fence, click to set the first post, and drag across the terrain to grow it, one post at a time. All 13 are available right now, completely free for everyone who owns Log Away.
We can't wait to see how you fence in your worlds. Share your favorites, and happy building!

Hello everyone,
We've just released a small update focused on improving the gameplay experience.
One of the frustrations many players ran into was losing the selected item while trying to rotate the camera during placement. Before this update, rotating the camera would deselect the item, forcing you to go back into the UI and select it again.
That has now been fixed ːsteamthumbsupː
You can now rotate the camera while placing an item, and the item will remain selected until you place it or cancel placement.
This update also includes a number of small bug fixes, general optimization, and performance improvements to help Log Away run more smoothly overall.
Thank you for the feedback and for spending time with Log Away!
A few days ago, we gave the Easter DLC its own little spotlight. Today, it truly steps into the sun.
The Easter DLC is now available in Log Away, and it brings exactly the feeling we wanted spring to bring with it: light, renewal, color, and calm. It is a cheerful addition built for slow decorating sessions, happy little details, and that lovely moment when a Retreat suddenly feels fresh again.
At the heart of the pack is a new collection of furniture and decorations that can brighten both indoors and outdoors. Garden chairs, flower beds, spring-colored shelves and cabinets, cozy tables, and a flower arch all help turn your cabin into a place that feels like it has opened its windows to the season.
Then come the smaller touches, and this is where the pack really starts to glow. Egg lanterns, egg candles, carrot garlands, fairy lights, flower rugs, vases, branches, kids’ drawings, and other Easter accents let you sprinkle warmth and playfulness all around your Retreat. And of course, there is also a bunny companion ready to make your quiet time even sweeter.
The Easter DLC also comes with a gentle seasonal soundtrack filled with a fresh, hopeful mood. Whether you’re decorating, revisiting a favorite cabin, or simply sitting still for a while, the new music is there to wrap the whole space in a softer spring atmosphere.
What makes this release day feel especially joyful is how naturally the DLC fits into Log Away. It does not change the heart of the game. It simply gives you more ways to make your cabin feel bright, personal, and full of life.
And there’s even more reason to celebrate today: Log Away is also part of Steam’s House & Home Fest, which begins today. So if you’re already in the mood for building, decorating, and making spaces feel warm and welcoming, this is a beautiful moment to step in and stay awhile.
Thank you for being here, and for all the warmth you’ve given Log Away. We hope the Easter DLC brings a little sunshine to your Retreat and a little sunshine to your day.
And spring is not the end of what we’re building. Just like we mentioned last week, one more DLC is already in the works, and we’ll share more on that later this year, together with a few more things we’re excited to announce. With the Easter DLC arriving on March 30, we wanted to give it a moment of its own and show more clearly what is waiting inside the pack. This is a seasonal add-on built around spring atmosphere: brighter colors, softer details, and more ways to make your Retreat feel warm, personal, and lived in.
At the center of the pack is a new selection of decorative pieces that can reshape both indoor and outdoor spaces. You’ll find garden chairs, flower beds, shelves and cabinets in spring colors, cozy tables, and a flower arch, all designed to blend naturally into any Retreat while giving it a fresh seasonal character.
The DLC also leans into the smaller details that make a place feel complete. Egg lanterns, egg candles, carrot garlands, fairy lights, flower rugs, vases, branches, kids’ drawings, and other festive touches help fill corners, tables, walls, and shelves with more personality. There is even a bunny companion joining the pack, adding one more gentle presence to your time away.
To round everything out, the Easter DLC also includes soft new seasonal music. Whether you’re decorating, exploring, or simply sitting still for a while, the new audio layer is there to make quiet moments feel even calmer. This pack doesn’t change the heart of Log Away, it simply gives you more ways to shape the feeling of your space.
And there is more still to come. Another Log Away DLC is already in the works, and we plan to announce it and release it later this year, alongside more announcements we’re looking forward to sharing.

I'm Gary, part of the team at indie game publisher Wired Productions - and we are delighted to announce today that we have joined forces with The-Mark Entertainment to help with future publishing and support of Log Away! We've been admirers of Log Away since launch, and can't wait to help not only bring visibility of the game to even more people around the world, but to help taking your feedback and helping make Log Away into the best, cosiest builder out there for those of us that want to take a break from it all for a while! We're ALSO announcing that there is a brand new Easter themed DLC just around the corner - launching on March 30th - and some additional updates based on your feedback since launch that should be landing right abooooooooooout now! No doubt you'll all have a lot of questions, so I'll get ahead and answer a few of them below, though please sound off in the comments if you have any questions, suggestions, feedback, or you simply wanna say hi!
Good question! For Log Away, it lets us help get the game in front of as many eyes as possible, taking it to events, exposing it to creators, setting up really boring (but important!) deals, working with partners on bundles, collaborations, fun competitions and much more. More visibility means more sales for The-Mark Entertainment, which means more support and more features and updates for you to build even cosier cabins! For you PERSONALLY? It means there's a whole team of us over here seeing your feedback, your suggestions and helping filter it through, make suggestions, support with testing and quicker, stable updates! This is just a very basic overview of how we're working together but trust me, the future holds much more!
The Easter DLC is part of todays big announcement! It's going to be launching on March 30th for $1.99 and is a soft invitation to expand your cosy, creative options.
The DLC contains a collection of decorations inspired by springtime comfort, with easter themed items and a mellow soundtrack that keeps everything soft, slow, and easy to return to.
Picture this
A flower basket rests on the table, painted eggs glow in candlelight, and a little bunny charm peeks from a shelf as music drifts through the room. A meadow painting hangs nearby, a watering can waits by the door, and tiny details, like a rabbit cup or a goose jar, make the space feel quietly cared for. Nothing to keep up with. Just a retreat that feels a little lighter.
Here's what you'll actually find within the DLC • A collection of Easter‑themed furniture and decorations to mix into any Retreat: garden chairs, flower beds, shelves and cabinets with spring colors, a flower arch, cozy tables, and more.
• Smaller touches that bring the season close: egg lanterns, egg candles, carrot garlands, fairy lights, kids’ drawings, flower rugs, vases, branches, and a pet bunny companion to keep you company.
• A gentle seasonal soundtrack with a fresh, hopeful mood that sits in the background while you decorate, explore, or simply pause.
If that sounds like something that will breathe a hint of new life into your cabin, or simply pleasant way to spend an afternoon whilst waiting for the mornings to get lighter - you can check the store page out right here and drop a wishlist to get a notification when it launches.
And because a picture paints a thousand words, here's a little look at some of the DLC content for you, as a treat.
There's a new patch launching today - it contains a whole host of quality of life changes, as well as some modifications to some of less relaxing aspects of the game based on your feedback since launch. The detailed breakdown of patch notes is right here - but if that kind of thing isn't your bag, the tl;dr is that playing Log Away should be a much smoother, relaxing experience.
Full controller support: includes controls, UI dynamically changing (contextual UI, icons, etc), and the Tutorial dynamically changing.
Steam Deck compatibility features: We are currently working our way towards full STeam deck verification, and our initial update includes increased size of UI and text, fully compatible controls, fully compatible Tutorial, and Steam Deck specific graphic settings (players choose between Performance and Quality, and both of these have been thoroughly tested and made sure to fit the Steam Deck hardware capabilities).
Additional fixes to many bugs and vastly optimized the game
The final couple of bits of news are that with the updates to the controls targeted at Steam deck - we are working towards a 'verified' status. As it stands there's one or two more tweaks related to the text before it's classed as 100% 'verified', but for now it is fully playable on the device, meaning that those of you that want to create a cozy cabin outside of your home can get that little slice of calm creation wherever in the world you find yourself. The Easter DLC is not the only new content pack coming to the game this year, with others already in the works that we think will surprise you - but we'll share more on that soon. And lastly, the Steam spring sale is now live! And if you haven't already picked up Log Away, you can save 10% on the game AND existing DLC from the start of the steam sale at 6pm GMT until the end of the sale.
Thank you all for taking the time to read if you've made it this far! We'll have more news coming throughout the year to share with you, and can't wait to see all of your new creations. Have a great weekend! - Gary
We're starting off the year with the Kitchen & Comfort Update! Live now - our 4th free item update for Log Away (after Wellness, Color, and Plants). This one is all about turning the kitchen into the heart of your retreat… and giving the rest of your space a little extra warmth, too.
Kitchen essentials: new cabinets (including wall-mounted options), a kitchen stove, plates, teacups, and more to make your cooking corner feel lived-in.
Table details: doilies and a checkered tablecloth for that “slow morning” vibe.
Comfort decor: fresh ways to soften and style your retreat, including new rugs, cushions, mirrors, shelving, and cozy lighting.
…and yes: there are more additions in the update beyond what’s listed here - in total more than 20 new items!
If you own the Christmas DLC, you’ll also find a brand-new item, the Christmas Wall Lights! Perfect for a warm glow inside your cabin, and not just during the holiday season.
Alongside the new items, this update includes a batch of bug fixes and overall improvements for a smoother, comfier experience.
We've done a lot of work in the past month to make Log Away fully compatible with Steam Deck. Things are looking fine and we're getting closer to the finish line! With the time needed to finish on our side and then have Valve review the build, our estimate is that we'll be able to publish it by mid-February. Stay tuned!
As always, thank you for playing Log Away. We’d love to see your coziest kitchens and comfiest corners - screenshots welcome in the Community Hub!
It is Christmas Eve, and we wanted to share something warm, quiet, and wonderfully festive.
Our producer Andrej took a little break from the busy world and built a cozy cabin entirely dressed in Christmas coziness. The goal was simple: to show how beautiful Log Away builds become when you bring in decor from the Christmas DLC. The same walls, the same space, but suddenly everything feels different. Softer. Brighter. Like home. The joy is in the details, and in the feeling that your retreat is waiting for you, exactly the way you want it.
If you need an hour of calm during the holiday rush, this is your invitation. Open Log Away, revisit a favorite retreat or start a new one, and decorate your cabin for the season. If the Christmas DLC is missing from your collection, you can pick it up on Steam and join in.
Hello,
The Plants Update has arrived - a meaningful step toward making your retreats feel even more alive, softer, and more “yours”.
This update adds a fresh batch of cozy items to play with, focused on warmth, comfort, and atmosphere:
Plants - bring a little life indoors (and out).
Teddy bears - because every retreat deserves a quiet companion.
Carpets - instantly warmer floors, instantly cozier vibes.
Tablecloths - small detail, big mood.
Deck chairs - slow mornings, long sunsets.
Pillows - the universal symbol of “you can rest here”.
This update also introduces a DirectX 11 launch option. If you’re not familiar with DirectX: it’s basically the graphics “mode” the game uses to talk to your PC.
Up until now, Log Away launched in DirectX 12 (DX12) by default. DX12 can run great on many systems, but for some players it can also mean lower performance or crashes.
With the new DX11 option:
You should see much better performance if DX12 wasn’t playing nicely with your setup.
If you experienced crashes, DX11 should be the stable fix with no crashes at all.
How to use DX11:
Go to your Steam Library → right‑click Log Away → Properties → General → Launch Options → select Play DirectX 11 (Compatibility).
And if DX12 already runs perfectly for you, feel free to keep using it.
Alongside the new items, we also tackled minor bug fixes, optimization, and general polish to keep everything running smoother and feeling better.
We’re not stopping here. In January, we’re bringing:
Kitchen furnishings & items (highly requested).
Full compatibility with Steam Deck.
Probably more surprises.
Wherever you are, and however your year has been: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
May 2026 treat you gently - with fewer rushed days, more quiet evenings, and at least a little time to slow down… even if it’s just for one cozy hour in your retreat.
— The Log Away team
Hello everyone,
The striking "Color Update" is here! It brings more ways to personalize your retreat, along with a round of polishing and fixes.
There were many, many requests for more item customization, especially for changing the color. We listen to your feedback, and so we added five new color variations for almost all building and furnishing items:
Gentle pink
Gentle blue
Olive green
Black
Ivory
To expand your building options, we also added new roof variations - you can now match your builds even more closely with new plank variations in the same five colors listed above.
For the two snowy destinations, Blue Dell and Glass Lake, we added a snow roof option to better fit the winter atmosphere and to match the Christmas-themed items included in the DLC.
Alongside the new customization options, we made small improvements, general polishing, and bug fixes. We keep improving the game wherever we can.
We are also preparing a new update that will add many new furnishing and decorating items, all based on your feedback. We will share more details as soon as we can.
Valve has reviewed Log Away and marked it as Playable on Steam Deck - which is great news! However, we recommend you to be patient as we are continuing to work toward full compatibility, which also means the best possible experience for you, so we can reach the Verified badge as soon as possible!
Thank you for playing Log Away, and thank you for all the invaluable feedback and support.
We are going live on Steam for a cozy walkthrough of the Wellness Update.
During the broadcast, we will jump into Log Away and focus on the new wellness items that many of you have been asking for. We will place them, style them, and build a few example setups, from a simple wash corner to a more complete bathhouse-style space. We will also share small decorating tips for making these additions feel natural in your retreat.
After the live stream ends, we will leave the video up on Steam for a few days, so you can watch it later at your own pace. Whether you catch it live or on replay, we hope it feels like a calm little visit to your retreat.
Hey everyone, the Wellness Update is out now on Steam!
This one is all about two things we care deeply about: making Log Away run more smoothly for more players, and giving you more cozy, meaningful ways to shape your retreat.
We’re adding 10 items that many of you have been asking for, including a sauna, sink, icebox, two bathtubs, an outhouse, two showers, and more. Whether you’re building a simple wash corner or a full spa-like cabin moment, you’ll have a lot more to play with.
Log Away has always saved automatically when you return to the main menu. So, when in a retreat, whenever you hit ESC on your keyboard or you click on the logo in the top-right corner of your screen, the game autosaves. From this update onward, in addition to the aforementioned, the game autosaves your retreats every 15 seconds while you play. This game aims to help you relax and enjoy your cabins, without pressure, and the newest autosaving system helps with that.
We’ve made optimization improvements, with extra attention to lower-end configurations, and we’ve also tackled a batch of reported bugs, along with other smaller technical and visual issues. In short: fewer bumps, more breathing room, greater experience.
Mirror Cove now lets you walk to the nearby beach - and yes, you can place objects there too. Set down a parasol, deck chair, icebox, and build that “private beach” fantasy where the only schedule is waves and sunlight.
One more cozy detail: the Christmas DLC now includes a Christmas-themed sink. For now, this is the only new item in the DLC, but more surprises are on the way!
As always, thank you for the feedback and the care you put into this little world. We’re committed to continuing to polish, improve, and add more items - so your retreat can keep growing with you.
The next update will add more color variations to almost all items in the game: gentle pink, olive green, gentle blue, black, and ivory.
At the same time, work is well underway to make Log Away fully compatible, verified by Steam, with Steam Deck.
Log Away was always meant to be something you can slip into for a quiet break, a small escape to your cabin, your keepsakes, and your calmer self. That’s why we’re now focusing on making the game feel right at home on Steam Deck!
We’ve started dedicated work on Steam Deck compatibility, aiming for an experience that feels natural on a handheld: readable text at 1280×800, smooth performance, and a UI that’s comfortable to navigate from the sofa, bed, or train seat. Our goal is to have a Deck-ready version soon, and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.
As part of this work, we’re also adding full controller support. Even if you don’t own a Deck, this means playing Log Away with your favorite controller (Xbox, PlayStation, etc.) will now be possible: from navigating menus to placing items and exploring your retreats.
Alongside all this, we’re continuing to optimize and polish the game: smoother performance, small quality-of-life touches, and tiny visual and UI tweaks across things like building, furnishing and decorating. None of these changes alter the heart of the experience, they’re meant to make your time in Log Away feel a little more comfortable, a little more effortless.
Log Away already features over 700 items, with almost 250 of them being interest-based, meaning they unlock only after reaching the Cozy Heart level 100. We're listening to the invaluable feedback you're giving us, and so we've decided to add more furnishing and decorating items to the general categories to give you more options from the start! Just to name a few: bathtubs, showers, saunas, sinks, skincare trays, floor lamps, and more. We will be adding them in batches with updates, and you can expect the first one to drop at the end of this week.
Thank you for playing and for taking the time to slow down with us. We’ll share more details once Steam Deck and controller support are ready to go, so make sure to follow the game to stay updated!
Until then, we hope your retreats continue to feel cozy, calm, and quietly yours.
Log Away officially launched on December 4, and we celebrated it with a series of cozy release day livestreams!
This is one of them, a calm, feel‑good stream where you watch our producer Andrej as he builds a cozy retreat by the sea... a little break from the noise, with cabins, nature, and slow living at the center.

all buyers before December 11 get the Christmas DLC for free, to keep forever
Bring your favorite drink, settle in, and enjoy watching us play Log Away!
Hi everyone,
just wanted to let you know that we've fixed an issue on the Steam admin side that stopped the Christmas DLC from unlocking properly for early buyers.
The good news:
Everyone who bought Log Away, even in the very first second after launch, you do own the Christmas DLC license.
Nothing extra needs to be purchased or redeemed.
For those that bought the game shortly after it was released, make sure the DLC's Christmas content appears in your Log Away by simply:
Exit Steam completely.
Start Steam again.
Let Log Away update automatically.
Launch the game – the Christmas content should now be available.
For those that bought after the first hour or two since release, the DLC will install automatically correctly - no need to do anything. Just enter the game and hover over the Christmas stamp at the bottom, it will say: You own the Christmas DLC.
Some players reported the issue after launch, which prompted us to look into the issue right away. We’re really sorry for the confusion and for anyone who spent time trying to figure this out.
Thank you for your patience and for supporting the launch! We hope you enjoy relaxing in the retreats you built, with Christmas-themed decorations and soundtrack now that everything works as intended.
Starting today, you can finally enjoy Log Away: a cozy retreat-building game about escaping the noise of everyday life and quietly finding your way back to yourself. Build, furnish, and decorate peaceful log cabins in nature, then slow down, look around, and enjoy.
Watch the launch trailer on Log Away's store page or on YouTube:
Everyone who buys Log Away during launch week (Dec 4 - Dec 11) gets the Christmas DLC free to keep forever. Add an extra layer of warmth to your retreats with festive decorations and seasonal touches that make your cabins feel like the holidays of your dreams!
In Log Away, you will:

Fill your album as you unpack each unique item and watch your story unfold with narrated voice overs

When Log Away launches on December 4, 2025, it will be joined by a Christmas DLC that wraps your retreats in festive warmth, and everyone who buys the base game during launch week gets it for free to keep forever.
The Christmas DLC is all about adding a soft holiday layer on top of what Log Away already does best: calm, cozy building with no pressure, no timers, and no to‑do lists. Just you, your pets, and the cabin you always wanted.
Whether your retreat is by the sea, in the mountains, or tucked inland under a winter sky, this pack lets you turn it into a peaceful holiday hideaway. Think gentle lights, seasonal touches, and spaces that feel perfect for a slow evening by the fire.
This DLC focuses on two things: new ways to decorate and a holiday mood that stays quiet and relaxing.
Here’s what you can expect:
Christmas‑themed decorations Add festive detail to your interiors and exteriors with a selection of seasonal items: from subtle ornaments and table pieces to more eye‑catching décor for walls, windows, and outdoor spaces.
Cozy winter variations New cabin and furnishing options designed to feel extra snug during colder days: soft fabrics, warm colors, and little details that make your retreat look ready for a quiet holiday evening.
Rudolph A baby red-nosed reindeer famous for guiding Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. Animated!
Alongside the visual décor, the Christmas DLC includes a holiday‑flavored soundtrack: calm, cozy tracks designed to sit in the background while you decorate, rearrange, or simply wander around your retreat. No loud jingles. Just soft, festive music that fits the slower pace of Log Away.
The Christmas DLC launches the same day as the base game: December 4, 2025, and is tied directly to Log Away’s release.
Release date: December 4, 2025
Platforms: PC Windows (alongside Log Away)
Launch‑week bonus: If you buy or already own Log Away during its first week after release, the Christmas DLC will be added to your library at no extra cost, and it will stay there forever. It's a small thank‑you gift from us for joining early.
After launch week, the DLC will remain available as an optional add‑on for anyone who wants to bring that festive mood to their cabin later on.
If you haven’t yet, you can still wishlist Log Away so you’re notified when the game (and the Christmas DLC) go live.
This DLC is our way of giving you one more reason to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a quiet holiday in the cabin you built yourself.
See you on December 4!
Hello,
we’ve given the Log Away Steam store page a full cozy refresh, and we’re excited to finally show you what we’ve been quietly working on!
New screenshots that wander through all kinds of retreats: from quiet inland getaways to seaside escapes and mountain hideaways in different times of year, indoors and out.
Updated descriptions that better explain how you choose destinations, build, and gently shape your own retreat at your own pace, with no timers or pressure. Just you, nature, and your cabin.
New videos in the "About this game" section that showcase the heart of Log Away: the beauty of the landscapes, the cozy building and decorating mechanics, and those small, emotional moments tied to special items called the Keepsakes, the hush of rain on the window, and your inner self.
If you’ve been curious about what Log Away actually feels like to play, the revamped page should give you a much clearer glimpse:
How you pick a destination and the interests that quietly shape your journey.
How travel bags and Keepsakes slowly fill your album with items from a simpler time, nudging you toward reflection, not rush.
This update is all about helping you see why Log Away exists: to give you a small place to breathe, to fulfill the fantasy of owning a cozy cabin in nature, and, piece by piece, to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that might’ve gotten buried under busy days.
Check the updated store page and watch the new videos in the "About this game".
Take a slow look through the screenshots and imagine where your first retreat will be.
Add Log Away to your Wishlist if you’d like to support the game and get notified when it comes out on December 4, 2025!
Don't forget: if you buy Log Away during launch-week, you get the Christmas DLC for free, yours to keep forever!
Thank you for following Log Away’s journey. We hope this refreshed store page helps you feel the calm and warmth we’re building into every part of the game.
We're excited for next week!
Today we finally get to write the sentence we’ve been working toward: Log Away launches on December 4, 2025. That feels so good to be finally able to reveal! We’ve spent a lot of late nights nudging details into place, and hitting “publish” on a date is one of those small studio moments your remember forever.
We’ve added a huge number of additional items and more ways to build and decorate across locations and seasons. Some are small touches, some change the mood of a space in a big way. We’ll keep some surprises for launch day, but if you’ve been following along (or have played the demo), you’ll notice so many improvements and changes the moment you start building and placing things. Also, the Coziness System is a new feature that wasn't available before, and a friendly Tutorial was a must that's been implemented only recently. As we move closer to the release date, we'll share more details about the features and content.
At launch the game will be $8.99 / €8.99 / £8.09. The price includes the 10% discount during the first week.
During the first week after release, we’re giving everyone a Christmas DLC— completely free! It includes a big number of Christmas‑themed items and a lovely holiday soundtrack to help you relax in a festive atmosphere.
From here it’s about polishing what’s already in, fixing what needs fixing, and resisting the urge to tinker forever. Thank you for the patience, the wishlists, and the emails/messages you’ve sent our way. Creating something like this is a long, silent journey, and it’s easier when you know people are waiting at the destination.
We’ll share more details as we move closer to December.

Log Away release date moved to Coming Soon
We're adding new items, making gameplay tweaks, optimizing, and fixing bugs
Goodbye August, hello Coming Soon. We moved the release date from August to an unspecified time, shrouded in mystery for now. The remaining work (described below) won't take us much more time. We're really getting close!
We are adding new items! Log Away already had more than 500; that was a lot, wasn't it? Well, now it's growing even bigger, in all categories: building, furnishing, and decorating. For instance, porches! Porches will definitely increase the coziness of your log cabin.
As players, you need a smooth and intuitive gameplay experience. It's a fundamental principle for all video games, but it's especially important for Log Away, which aims to provide a relaxing experience. That's why we're tweaking several small details, such as the controls, the user interface, and how you build and interact with the environment.
Last but not least, we're optimizing the game to run as smoothly as possible on older configurations, plus the dreaded task of all - searching for and removing bugs.
To sum up. It's a lot of work, but most of these tasks started a few weeks back, so we're really getting close to the finish line.
Don't forget to follow and add the game to your wish list!
Stay tuned for the release date announcement! ːsteamthumbsupː
We have some big news to share today! Log Away is getting some new features, multilingual support, and, as a result, a slight release delay from July to August, with the exact date to be revealed soon.
We've decided to move the release to have enough time to implement new features and improve and polish the entire experience. As always, we want to deliver the best possible game!
We're hard at work to implement a new feature: the Coziness System! It deepens the game’s immersive charm by acting as a "thermometer" that measures how cozy your retreat is by considering how many objects you're placing and, more importantly, where you're placing them and if they match the objects in their vicinity to create a cozy synergy. For example, you'd agree that placing dozens of chairs or planting a tree indoors doesn't make a cabin cozy, right? The system makes sure you're on the right path to achieving higher coziness, and it rewards you when you succeed. It's there, but it's subtle, and it acts as a dear friend that wants you the best.
Some surprise items, so the really special ones, are getting a backstory. This is a new feature, which adds to these items voice overs recounted from a narrator standpoint. We felt the game was missing something, something more personal and perhaps unique to the genre, and so we implemented this. One might say it's nothing groundbreaking, and that is true, but it adds more charm to the game.
The store page is now localized into multiple languages, making it accessible to a global audience. This localization will extend to the full game, with the interface and subtitles available in these 15 languages:
English
French
Italian
German
Spanish - Spain
Japanese
Korean
Polish
Portuguese - Brazil
Russian
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Turkish
Spanish - Latin America
Croatian (only in-game, store page localization not supported by Steam)
While voice overs will be only in English, these translations will ensure players worldwide can fully immerse themselves into the coziness of Log Away!
The current version of the demo no longer aligns with the full game’s evolving scope and experience due to the extensive updates and new features we’re implementing, and so we’ve temporarily removed it from the Steam store. We plan to relist an updated demo closer to the release date, which will then offer an accurate glimpse of the cozy adventure awaiting you in the full game.

Rekindle your inner self. That is the message of Log Away, which we proudly reveal for the first time.
Log Away is a cozy sandbox game where you build, furnish, and decorate your dream cabin amid nature’s beauty, from shores to mountain peaks, across varied seasons and weather. Your creativity has no limits, and neither do your time or resources, as the ultimate goal is simply enjoying and relaxing in solitude.
Steam's popular Next Fest has started, and Log Away is participating. Download it for free, enjoy, and add to your wish list the full game. The demo is much smaller, as it has a limited number of items, locations, interests, and tools at disposal, but it gives a nice glimpse at the gameplay and the relaxing vibe of the game.
Log Away might be a simple game to play, but it features hundreds of items, a dozen locations, and many tools (which we call " the cozy tools") that allow you to personalize every moment as you play it. The game combines cozy building sandbox gameplay with decorating, furnishing, and unpacking mechanics. A fan fact is that its soundtrack was composed by Chris Haugen, the author whose songs were featured in the movie Into the Wild. Thematically, the movie and the game are a perfect match.
Enjoy and have fun with the demo, and stay tuned for news and updates. The full game is just around the corner, set to release next month!
