It also includes improvements throughout the game to make each Life clearer, smoother and more reliable.

The career system has been expanded to provide job opportunities based on the player’s experience, qualifications, skills and current circumstances.

Players can now:

• Track applications through each stage

The opportunities available will depend on the Life the player has built.

Apply for new roles

Players can now review a role before deciding whether to apply.

Each opportunity includes information about:

• The employer and position

• Salary and contract type

• Working arrangements

• Required skills and experience

• The player’s suitability for the role

• Any requirements that are currently missing

Applications can progress through several stages, including awaiting a response, interview, further consideration, rejection or an offer.

Playable job interviews

Job interviews are now interactive.

Players answer multiple-choice questions designed around the role they have applied for. Questions may assess areas such as:

• Communication

• Problem-solving

• Judgement

• Motivation

• Role knowledge

• Leadership

• Working style

The player’s answers are considered alongside their experience, qualifications, preparation and current circumstances.

An interview may lead to a job offer, another interview, further consideration or an unsuccessful application.

Clearer career progression

Career paths now provide more information about how the player can move forward.

Players can see:

• Experience requirements

A More Lively Social World

This update gives LIVORA’s Group Chats a substantial expansion, with more conversations, replies, reactions, disagreements and follow-up messages from the people in your Life.

Group Chats now feel less like isolated decisions and more like an ongoing part of your social world. Friends, family, colleagues, neighbours and other groups can discuss plans, share everyday moments, support one another and react to what has happened.

You will also see more variety in how you can respond, whether you want to join in, suggest something cheaper, ask a question, offer support, make a joke, set a boundary or quietly react.

One Connected Group Chat Experience

Group Chat conversations from different parts of LIVORA now open in one consistent interface.

This includes conversations connected to:

• Social plans and weekends

• Events and nights out

• Holidays and trips

• Seasonal activities

• Phone and Command UI messages

• Group Chat notifications

Plans, replies and decisions remain connected to the wider Life, including relationships, events, commitments and future conversations.

Improved Readability Across LIVORA

We have also completed a wider interface improvement covering the game’s player-facing modals and overlays.

LIVORA’s UI Scale and Text Size settings are now applied much more consistently across the game. Modals respond properly to larger text, different screen sizes and higher display scaling without hiding important choices or controls.

This includes improvements to:

• Decision and event cards

• Holidays and trips

• Negotiations

• Emails and identity screens

• Time advancement

• Reports and endings

• Loading, confirmation and recovery overlays

Layouts now adapt more intelligently on smaller windows while remaining readable and balanced on high-resolution displays.

Reliability and Accessibility

• Focus returning correctly after closing a window

• Preventing duplicate modal actions

The Perfect Day Update

Some days in LIVORA are about getting through the pressure.

Others become the days you remember.

This update introduces the Perfect Day System, giving occasional free days a stronger beginning, middle and end. It also includes one of our largest scenario-writing passes so far, making choices clearer, consequences more natural and repeated situations less predictable.

Make a Day of It

When your Life genuinely leaves enough flexible time, you may receive a new invitation:

You Have the Day to Yourself.

Accepting lets you shape the day one period at a time.

Choose how to spend your:

• Morning

• Afternoon

• Evening

You might sleep in, exercise, spend time with family, work on a hobby, go shopping, meet friends, eat out, visit the cinema or protect a quiet evening at home.

This is not a separate minigame or an isolated planning screen. The day continues to use LIVORA’s existing money, energy, health, weather, travel, relationships, commitments, messages, Map and Free Time systems.

What you do earlier can change what becomes possible later.

Spending heavily in the afternoon may remove an expensive evening option. Using too much energy may make a night out unrealistic. A good social choice could affect relationships or create something unexpected later in the day.

Partly free days also remain believable. Existing work, family or personal commitments are not removed simply to create a perfect schedule.

Declining the invitation carries no penalty. The Life continues normally.

A Day Worth Remembering

The end of each completed day can now retain a richer account of what actually happened.

The game considers your choices, activities, people, locations, spending, relationships, health, commitments and consequences to create a more meaningful reflection of the day.

When a day genuinely stands out, LIVORA may ask whether it is one you want to remember.

Choose Remember This Day and it becomes a permanent memory within that Life.

Choose Not Quite and the day simply passes without a penalty.

There is no score, reward currency, checklist or requirement to manufacture a flawless day. An expensive, tiring or slightly chaotic day may still become meaningful because of the people involved and the choices you made.

Major Scenario-Writing Improvements

This update also includes a substantial writing pass across more than 1,100 scenarios.

The improvements include:

• Clearer introductions and decision prompts

• More specific choice descriptions

• Consequences that better explain what changed and why

• Less repeated or template-like wording

• More natural trade-offs between money, energy, relationships and future stability

• Better separation between immediate results and consequences that should arrive later

• More distinctive writing across long-running stories and future events

Five hundred Long Arc scenarios now use their authored situations and choices without the previous filler dialogue and repeated description templates.

Future Pulse scenarios have also been revised so immediate results remain focused, while delayed consequences are allowed to arrive naturally through later messages, reports and timeline events.

This writing work will continue as we review the remaining repetition and edge cases across the wider game.

Reliability and Polish

The new systems have also received focused work around:

• Saving and reloading during a planned day

• Continuing correctly from morning to afternoon and evening

• Preventing choices or effects from being applied twice

• Recovering unfinished memory decisions safely

• Keeping remembered days attached to the correct Life

• Ensuring earlier choices correctly affect later activity availability

• Preserving existing commitments on partly free days

The city is changing

Life in LIVORA should never feel static.

This update makes the city respond more meaningfully to the passing year, while also improving the tools you use to plan your days, understand your circumstances and decide what comes next.

A city shaped by the seasons

The city now changes throughout spring, summer, autumn and winter, with seasonal events appearing during their actual dates in the in-game calendar.

These include:

• Spring and autumn markets

• Summer festivals and riverside events

• Outdoor cinema and rooftop evenings

• The harvest fair and bonfire evening

• Winter markets, ice skating and winter lights

• New Year gatherings

• Smaller seasonal moments as the weather and time of year change

Seasonal activities are only available while their corresponding event is genuinely taking place. The Calendar, city map and Free Time planner now use the same event schedule, so the information shown across the game remains consistent.

New seasonal moment cards also highlight meaningful changes around the city and provide direct access to the relevant planning tools.

Smarter day planning

The Day Planner has received a substantial usability and presentation pass.

Weather, forecasts and seasonal conditions are now integrated more clearly into planning. Seasonal activities, booking requirements and availability are easier to understand before committing to a plan.

The desktop planner layout has also been rebuilt to prevent information from competing for the same space. Activity details, forecasts, companion options, variations and confirmation controls now remain clearly separated across supported resolutions and interface scaling settings.

Map labels have been improved as well, reducing cases where location names could overlap map markers or other information.

A clearer Command interface

The Command interface now follows a more consistent design system across its different pages, with improved spacing, typography, panels, navigation and status information.

Several areas now provide more useful summaries:

• Relationships: Recent shared moments and relationship history are presented more clearly, including when contact with someone has started to fade.

• Banking: Spending is grouped into clearer categories while correctly separating genuine expenditure from income, refunds and positive adjustments.

• Trips: Destinations can now be compared against your available money, typical costs, trip lengths and remaining leave before you begin the full booking process.

The aim is to make important information easier to understand without removing the uncertainty and trade-offs that form part of LIVORA.

Additional improvements

This update also includes:

• Improved interface scaling and large-text support

• Cleaner map and planning layouts

• More reliable weather information

• Better consistency between seasonal systems

• Improved asset loading and presentation

• Additional gameplay validation and automated testing

Big Social Events now have a more polished interface covering the full experience, including:

Major occasions should now feel more meaningful as they build towards the day.

Playable Short Breaks and Holidays

Playable Holidays now have a dedicated interface covering the complete trip journey:

• Choosing activities while away

• Responding to complications

• Reviewing memories, spending and consequences after returning home

The underlying holiday systems have not changed. The new presentation simply makes the experience easier to understand and more enjoyable to play.

Playable Weekends and Nights Out

Weekend planning and Free Time activities have also received a visual upgrade.

Weekend Shapes, planned activities and night-out opportunities are now presented more clearly, helping you plan around your:

• Money

• Energy

• Relationships

• Work and responsibilities

• Existing commitments

Weekends remain part of your ongoing Life rather than becoming a separate game mode.

One Connected Life

These are visual and usability improvements, not replacements for the existing systems.

Events, trips and weekends remain connected to LIVORA’s money, Calendar, Map, relationships, messages, work, health and long-term consequences.

Smarter Time and Clearer Choices

This smaller LIVORA update makes Smart Time Advance easier to use while improving hundreds of decisions throughout the game.

A New Smart Time Advance Modal

Smart Time Advance now has its own shortcut on the main gameplay screen. Selecting it opens a dedicated modal rather than taking you into Command.

The new design clearly shows:

• Your current day and date

• How far LIVORA may safely advance

• Why the advance is expected to stop

• Important commitments and risks

• The systems that will continue processing

You will also see clearer loading, blocked, confirmation, progress and completion screens. The underlying rules have not changed. Smart Time Advance still processes each day safely and will never automatically choose replies, votes, RSVPs, scenario choices or planner decisions for you.

Hundreds of Choices Improved

We have improved 380 existing scenarios and 1,140 choices across money, work, housing, relationships, family, health, transport, digital safety, grief, community and more.

Decision prompts, descriptions, immediate outcomes and delayed consequences are now clearer. Several effects have also been corrected where they did not properly match the choice being made.

Improved First-Time Guidance

The Guided First Day is now more reliable across separate Lives and provides a better introduction to gameplay, Command, the Map and World News.

A Major New LIVORA Update

This update adds more ways to plan ahead, spend your time and experience the longer story of your Life.

Playable Short Breaks and Holidays

You can now plan and experience trips as part of your ongoing Life.

Choose where to go, when to travel, how long to stay, who to take, where to stay and how much you can afford to spend.

Trips must fit around your money, work, annual leave, relationships, health and existing commitments.

Once booked, your trip enters a full countdown and preparation stage.

Depending on the break, you may need to:

• Arrange time away from work

• Set a spending budget

• Pay the remaining balance

• Pack and check travel documents

• Arrange childcare or pet care

• Confirm plans with the people joining you

• Prepare for possible problems

When the trip begins, every day is playable.

Explore the local area, choose activities, watch your spending, respond to the weather and manage the mood of the people travelling with you.

A relaxed afternoon, an expensive night out or a badly timed disagreement can all change how the trip unfolds.

Trips can also include delays, poor weather, accommodation problems, unexpected costs, illness, work interruptions and disagreements.

Every complication gives you a choice rather than simply applying a punishment.

When you return home, you will receive a full summary covering what you spent, the memories you made, relationship changes, energy, problems encountered and any consequences waiting for you back home.

Smart Time Advance

Longer Lives should not feel repetitive during genuinely quiet periods.

The new Smart Time Advance option lets you move forward to the next meaningful moment without skipping the systems that make LIVORA work.

Before confirming, you will see how far the game can safely try to advance, the known commitments ahead and any financial or personal risks.

Smart Time Advance still processes:

• Bills and automatic payments

• Payday and income

• Messages and Group Chats

• Calendar commitments

• Health and relationship changes

• Social events

• Delayed consequences

• Weekly, monthly and yearly reports

It will stop whenever a real decision, event or important development needs your attention. LIVORA will never automatically choose a scenario response, message reply, vote, RSVP or activity for you.

More Life Events and Content

This update also expands and improves content across several parts of LIVORA.

You will find new and revised moments involving:

• Birthdays and personal milestones

• Technology and future change

A More Connected Life

We’ve released another substantial LIVORA update, built around one goal: making every life feel more connected, reactive and believable.

The biggest addition is Playable Group Chats, but this update also includes further improvements to scenarios, interfaces, saving and the systems working behind each decision.

Playable Group Chats

Group conversations are no longer just background messages. The people in your life can now talk, make plans, disagree, offer support and respond to what happens around them.

You can:

• Reply to conversations with authored choices

• React to messages

• Agree to or decline plans

• Suggest alternatives

• Create and vote in polls

• Mute or unmute conversations

• Leave eligible groups

There are 12 different group types and dozens of authored conversations, covering everything from social plans and family decisions to practical problems and moments of support.

What happens in a group chat can carry into the wider game. Plans may become Calendar commitments, unanswered decisions can become Unfinished Business, and your responses can influence relationships, future events and life memories.

Group-chat activity can also appear in your weekly and monthly reports, helping your social life feel like a meaningful part of the story rather than a separate menu.

Clearer Choices and More Believable Consequences

We’ve continued reviewing LIVORA’s scenario writing and underlying effects so that choices are easier to understand and their consequences better match what the option promised.

This includes:

• Clearer decision prompts and choice descriptions

• More distinct and natural responses

• Improved immediate outcomes

• Stronger delayed consequences and life memories

• Better alignment between the wording of a choice and what it changes

• Further work across careers, caregiving, health, mental load, routines, prevention and support networks

The aim is not to make every choice obvious or easy. It is to make sure players understand the decision they are making while still facing realistic trade-offs.

We have been working on a substantial update designed to make every life feel more personal, connected and believable.

This update introduces meaningful social occasions that develop over time, more ways to spend your free time, stronger long-term storytelling and clearer consequences throughout the game.

Big Social Events

Important occasions are no longer limited to a single decision.

You may now receive invitations to birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, family gatherings, reunions, school events, work celebrations, community events and other meaningful moments.

Each event can develop across several stages:

• Respond to the invitation and decide whether to attend.

• Arrange travel, clothing, gifts, childcare, time away from work or a plus-one.

• Follow the countdown as the event approaches.

• Deal with complications such as bad weather, transport disruption, additional costs, family tension or a change of plans.

• Make decisions throughout the event itself.

• Live with the emotional, financial and relationship consequences afterwards.

Showing up well can strengthen relationships, create lasting memories and lead to warmer invitations in the future. Missing an important occasion, overspending or handling a difficult moment badly can also stay with the life.

Plan and host your own events

You can now organise events rather than only attending them.

Host a birthday party, dinner, house gathering, barbecue, family celebration, anniversary, children’s party, seasonal gathering or another important occasion.

You will need to consider:

• The venue and available space.

• Your budget and guest list.

• Food, drinks and entertainment.

• Invitations and guest responses.

• Preparation tasks before the event.

• Unexpected problems on the day.

• The effect hosting has on your money, energy, relationships and reputation.

A successful event does not need to be expensive. Thoughtful planning, realistic expectations and the way you treat people can matter more than the amount you spend.

Richer Free Time

Free Time is now a much deeper part of the Day Planner Map.

Available activities respond to the time of day, weather, location, finances, energy, relationships and the people currently present in your life.

You might choose to:

• Have a quiet evening at home.

• Return to a hobby.

• Cook something you enjoy.

• Meet a friend or spend time with family.

• Go for lunch, attend the cinema or plan a date.

• Join work drinks, a quiz night or a community evening.

• Go out for dinner, visit a club or continue the night somewhere else.

• Stay home and recover when the life cannot realistically carry another commitment.

Some activities now develop into connected outings with follow-up moments, changing plans and decisions during the experience. They are no longer simply a button that adjusts a few numbers.

More meaningful everyday planning

The Day Planner Map now does more to show what is approaching and what needs your attention.

Social-event countdowns and preparation tasks can appear directly on the map, helping important plans feel connected to the rest of the life.

Supermarket visits have also been expanded. You can choose between different baskets based on what the household needs and what the life can afford. Buying the cheapest food, choosing healthier options, feeding a family, relying on reduced items, skipping the shop or using credit can all create different immediate and future pressures.

Future Pulse has been rewritten

Future Pulse has received a major writing overhaul.

Future developments across technology, employment, education, healthcare, finance, housing, relationships, climate, infrastructure, identity, public life and personal wellbeing now have more distinctive scenes, headlines, decisions and outcomes.

The aim is to make the changing world feel like something your character is actually living through, rather than a collection of repeated templates.

Your response to these developments can still affect your opportunities, relationships, finances, security and the direction of the wider world.

Clearer choices and consequences

Thousands of choice outcomes have been reviewed and improved.

A complete set of 500 long-term life scenarios now has individually written decision prompts, choice descriptions and consequence text across areas including money, work, housing, relationships, parenting, health, business, ageing, legal responsibilities, community life and modern digital pressure.

We have also corrected a number of situations where the effect of a choice did not properly match what the option appeared to promise.

Choices should now be easier to understand before you make them, while still keeping the uncertainty and difficult trade-offs that define LIVORA.

Improved Command Centre and guidance

The desktop Command Centre has received further navigation and presentation improvements, making it easier to find the information that matters without turning the game into a wall of menus.

The How To Play section has also been completely rebuilt with:

• A clearer explanation of the daily gameplay loop.

• Guidance on money, energy, mental load and stability.

• A searchable reference section.

• Better explanations of the Command Centre and Day Planner Map.

• The ability to replay the Guided First Day without affecting your saves.

Language coverage and interface text have also been expanded across LIVORA’s supported languages.

Additional fixes and polish

The update includes a broad range of smaller improvements across the desktop interface, map presentation, world news, onboarding, summaries, scenario wording, consequence reporting and general gameplay stability.

The update has been designed to work with existing saves, allowing you to continue a current life or begin a new one to experience the new systems from the beginning.

A new LIVORA update is available now, introducing Map-Based Free Time, a more detailed Day Planner and further improvements to how the game displays and performs across different desktop setups.

Map-Based Free Time

Free time is now a more meaningful part of each day.

The map has been expanded into an interactive Day Planner where you can visit different locations, choose activities and plan how to use the remaining moments of your day.

The opportunities shown are influenced by your current life and may include:

• Work and earning extra money

• Rest and recovery

• Relationships and family

• Shopping and daily necessities

• Financial or administrative responsibilities

• Health and exercise

• Career and future opportunities

You can plan multiple moments before confirming your day and review how your choices may affect money, energy, mental load, relationships, stability and future opportunities.

There will not always be enough time to deal with everything. What you prioritise—and what you leave unresolved—can continue to shape your life.

Improved desktop display support

This update also introduces further improvements for the Steam desktop version of LIVORA.

The available display options now include:

• Windowed and borderless modes

• Supported resolution and window-size options

• Fit-to-display support

• Adjustable render quality

• Adjustable interface scaling

• Improved window position and size restoration

The game will also respond more safely when changing monitors, resolutions or display configurations, helping prevent oversized or inaccessible windows.

Further UI and writing work

Alongside this live update, we are actively working on further improvements following recent player feedback.

The current work focuses on:

• Fixing overlapping or clipped interface elements

• Improving readability across different resolutions and display-scaling settings

• Strengthening the layout of longer scenarios and choices

• Reviewing unclear or unnatural player-facing writing

• Reducing repetitive and overly formulaic phrasing

• Expanding the desktop testing completed before future releases

A Clearer Way to Play

Following feedback from players using high-resolution displays, we have improved how LIVORA renders and scales across different monitors and window sizes.

Previously, maximising the game on some 1440p and 4K displays could cause the interface and text to appear stretched or blurred. This update introduces higher-quality rendering and additional display controls to provide a clearer and more comfortable experience.

• Better support for 1440p, 4K and Windows display scaling

The game will continue to use the same interface layout and gameplay experience, but it should now appear considerably sharper on larger and higher-resolution screens.

Existing saves and progress are unaffected.

LIVORA Major Update

This major update introduces ten substantial additions: Workplace Drama Arcs, Hard Conversations, Converging Days, NPC Stories, Social Circles, Hobby Seasons, Ordinary Rituals, Keepsakes, Regrets and Second Chances, and a redesigned Guided First Day experience.

The goal is simple: choices should not feel isolated. Work, relationships, money, health, home life and personal history should influence what happens next — sometimes immediately, and sometimes days, months or years later.

A More Connected Life

LIVORA now carries more history between decisions.

People can remember how they were treated. Workplace problems can develop instead of disappearing after one choice. Unresolved situations can return. Routines, interests, relationships and personal patterns can gradually become part of the life being built.

Most days can still remain ordinary, but repeated decisions now have more opportunities to shape future moments.

Workplace Drama Arcs

Workplace situations can now develop across multiple moments.

This includes:

• workload pressure

• rota and schedule disputes

• difficult managers or colleagues

• client problems

• workplace mistakes

• promotion competition

• grievances and formal processes

Workplace history is tied to the correct employer and period of employment. Leaving a job does not cause an old workplace problem to incorrectly follow the player into a new role.

Hard Conversations

Some situations now require a direct conversation rather than a single ordinary choice.

Hard Conversations can emerge from work, relationships, family, money, housing and previous decisions. The way a conversation is handled can resolve the situation, reduce the pressure, make it worse or leave it open for later.

These conversations are connected to the people and issues that caused them.

Lives Can Converge

Several existing pressures can occasionally overlap on the same day.

A work problem may arrive while money is tight. A family responsibility may conflict with an important plan. A relationship issue may return during an already difficult week.

These are not separate minigames or random punishment events. They are natural combinations of situations already developing within the player’s life.

More Personal History

This update also expands the quieter parts of life:

• NPC stories and recurring character memories

• social circles and changing friendships

• hobbies that develop through seasons

• ordinary routines and rituals

• meaningful keepsakes

• regrets and second chances

• deeper home and household continuity

• longer-term Life chapters and patterns

Not every system demands attention. Many of these changes develop naturally through normal play.

Improved Guided First Day

The opening experience has been updated to explain the main LIVORA loop more clearly.

New players are now shown:

• how immediate and delayed consequences differ

• how LIVORA remembers patterns

• where longer-term developments can be followed

• how Command, the Daily Planner Map and World News fit into the game

The guide reacts to the player’s real life data and avoids directing them towards empty sections.

Existing players who have already completed or skipped the guide will not be forced through it again.

Steam Desktop Improvements

A large amount of work has also gone into the Steam version of LIVORA.

Improvements include:

• stronger save and account isolation

• safer Steam save continuity

• improved stale-moment recovery

• more reliable next-moment and next-day transitions

• reduced risk of duplicate outcomes

• better loading and retry behaviour

• improved Command navigation and empty states

• broader performance and stability checks

Messages, Bills and Unfinished Business

Messages and ongoing situations have been reviewed so they are less likely to be blocked by unrelated future events.

Bills, missed payments, workplace issues, conversations and other unfinished situations should now surface more consistently and remain attached to the correct part of the player’s life.

The update does not turn every decision into a dramatic event.

Instead, LIVORA now has more ways to recognise patterns, carry history forward and allow different parts of a life to influence each other.

Better Calendar and Bill Timing

Calendar behaviour has been tightened so dates, months, paydays, rent, debt, and recurring bills behave more consistently.

Upcoming events should also remain clearer, even when they roll into the next month, so important life pressure does not disappear from view too easily.

More Reliable Saves and Actions

We’ve improved how LIVORA handles repeated actions, save-related requests, and moments where the game is moving between scenarios.

This should make the game feel steadier during normal play, especially when continuing a life, moving through days, or making choices quickly.

Stronger Long-Term Runs

Longer lives should now hold together better, with improved support for major life moments, long-term consequences, recurring pressure, and different life paths.

Your Home Actually Changes

Your home can now reflect what is happening in your life.

Depending on pressure, recovery, money, family, health, relationships and life stage, your home can now feel calmer, messier, more strained, more settled or more lived-in.

This includes:

• A new home state system

• A new Home Right Now card

• Home atmosphere lines

• Visible home details

• Soft gameplay hooks

• 40 new home visual assets

The aim is to make home feel like part of your life, not just a background.

Negotiation Moments

We’ve added realistic pressure conversations across the game.

These can involve landlords, banks, managers, partners, family, friends, admin issues and bills.

You may now need to choose how to handle certain difficult moments, with approaches such as:

• Honest

• Firm

• Careful

• Practical

• Emotional

• Avoidant

• Risky

Outcomes can depend on trust, reliability, money pressure, stress, ignored messages and previous choices.

City Pulse Events

The city around you now has more movement.

Temporary events can appear around the world, including:

• Price rises

• Transport disruption

• Job fairs

• Weather pressure

• Council delays

• Community events

City Pulse can feed into World News, the Day Planner, Phone/Command and scenario weighting.

We’ve also added first-week pacing so these events do not overwhelm the start of a new life.

Relationship Flow Improvements

Relationships have had a realism pass.

Dating, commitment, moving in, proposals, marriage pressure and relationship strain should now build more naturally over time.

This includes:

• Partner personality

• Relationship memory

• Partner messages

• Readiness checks before bigger milestones

• More realistic relationship blockers

• Breakup and repair moments

• More choices carrying forward

The aim is to make relationships feel less like quick progression buttons and more like something that develops through time, trust and pressure.

Fun Moments, Easter Eggs and Calendar Quirks

We’ve added more small life details across the game.

These include:

• Everyday wins

• Group chat moments

• Supermarket details

• Home details

• Local news flavour

• Hidden report titles

• Calendar-based quirks

These are designed to be rare and subtle, adding more personality without taking over the main life simulation.

Fixes and Improvements

We’ve also been working on stability and gameplay flow.

This includes improvements around:

• Next moment loading

• Modal overlap prevention

• Save-safe feature state

What’s new

Guided First Day

New players now get a clearer first-day introduction that explains the core flow without taking control away from the player.

It is designed to help players understand choices, consequences, the Command panel, the Day Planner Map and World News more naturally.

Supermarket Basket Gameplay

Supermarket visits now include more meaningful basket choices.

Players can make different food decisions based on money, energy, family pressure and future risk. A cheaper shop may help today, while skipping food or using credit can create pressure later.

Luck Events

Small realistic surprises can now appear during a life.

These are not huge random rewards or unfair punishments. They are everyday moments such as a small refund, a free lunch, a delay, a cancelled plan or an unexpected bill.

Weekend Mode

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays can now feel different from the rest of the week.

Players may get the chance to shape the weekend around rest, social plans, money, admin, family or escape — with consequences carrying forward naturally.

Personal Traits

LIVORA can now notice repeated behaviour over time.

Traits form gradually based on how the player lives, such as being practical under pressure, avoiding conflict, putting work first, protecting recovery or being reliable with people.

These traits do not lock choices. They gently shape flavour, reports and future moments.

Major Update: Day Planner Map Now Live

A major new update has arrived for LIVORA.

The new Day Planner Map changes how each day plays out. Instead of only reacting to the next moment, players can now plan how the day should unfold across the city.

Choose where to go. Decide what to focus on. See what pressures are building. Then face the consequences.

What’s new

Day Planner Map

Each day now gives you a clearer view of the city, your current moment, and the pressure points building around your life.

You can plan routes such as:

• Work to earn money or chase opportunity

• Bank to deal with debt, bills, or repayment pressure

• Cafe to handle social and relationship moments

• Park or therapy routes to recover energy and reduce pressure

• Government Office for admin, forms, housing, benefits, or legal pressure

Pressure Pins

The map now highlights live pressure points based on your current life.

Money problems, debt, unread messages, low energy, unfinished admin, food pressure, family needs, and other life systems can now appear visually on the map.

Ignoring urgent pressure does not make it disappear. It may come back later.

Smarter Daily Planning

Plans do not simply give free rewards.

Instead, they help guide what kind of scenario may happen next. A Bank plan can push the day toward money or debt pressure. A Cafe plan can lead toward social or relationship moments. A recovery plan can bring health, energy, or burnout pressure into focus.

Your plan shapes the direction of the day, but life can still interrupt.

Cleaner Steam Desktop Experience

This update also includes fixes and improvements around Steam desktop gameplay, save flow, scenario progression, map visuals, icons, route previews, and overall stability.

The Day Planner Map makes that pressure easier to see, easier to understand, and more meaningful to play around. You now have more control over the day, but not full control over life.

LIVORA has received a focused stability update for Steam players.

This patch improves the way the game starts, continues saves, and moves between moments during the first week of a life.

The main focus was making sure players can reliably get from the title screen into actual gameplay, start a new life, continue an existing Steam save, and progress through Day Shifts without getting stuck.

What changed

Improved Steam start and continue reliability Continuing a Steam save now has stronger recovery handling if the next playable moment is still being prepared. The game now clears stale next-scenario data, refreshes the save state, and attempts an authoritative recovery before showing an error.

Improved new-life startup Starting a new life has also been hardened. If the first playable scenario fails to load cleanly, LIVORA now attempts to recover the newly created life instead of leaving the player stuck in setup.

Fixed next-moment progression stalls Scenario fallback selection has been tightened so fallback scenarios must be compatible with the current moment timing before they are selected. This helps prevent cases where the game could remain on “Preparing next moment...” after Day Shifts.

Improved fallback scenario handling If normal scenario selection cannot find a suitable next moment, LIVORA now has stronger guaranteed-playable fallback logic with safer eligibility checks and clearer recovery paths.

Reduced startup hang risk The game startup flow now includes a safer handoff into preloading, including a watchdog path if the asset manifest takes too long. This helps avoid launch/startup stalls.

Also improved

This update also adds more internal diagnostics around Steam save continuation, selected saves, active scenarios, moment index, recovery state, and transition failures. These are not player-facing features, but they make it easier to identify and fix any future Steam-specific issues faster.

The main focus of this patch is transition performance. Choosing an option, moving to the next moment, and continuing through a life should now feel smoother and more reliable.
