Hello everyone, this update is just a few fixes - largely for the computer thing that happens at the end.

Changelog

• Fixed being able to activate hidden/incomplete languages accidentally
• Fixed stuttering issues when moving in a certain part of the game
• Fixed UI not scaling properly for certain window sizes in that same part of the game
• That certain part of the game is no longer skipped if you close and reopen the game

Hello everyone, this is an update mostly to enable the Russian language as it has been worked on by community members recently - we've also had some corrections to the Simplified Chinese localization. How are you all? I hope you're doing alright. This past year, I've been working a lot on 'Shapez 2', which is now getting to an even more awesome state. NOW AVAILABLE IN CHINESE & JAPANESE

We also have support for Chinese (Traditional) too, thanks to our community member Milly, who did that all on her own. I hope all the new folks who discover Kiwi thanks to all the languages that are now supported will greatly enjoy it and have fun with the crazy little things it has going on. NEW ENDINGS

LOCALIZATION SUPPORT

PT-BR LOCALIZATION + PARTIAL FRENCH & TURKISH SUPPORT

The game now supports supporting multiple languages! I've translated it to PT-BR myself, and we also have the coolest community members working on other languages too! For now, you can also select French or Turkish, which are 50%+ translated as well. If you'd like to help increase the amount of languages, just join our Discord and hop over to the translation corner!

QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES

• Reworked the peeler & peel tooltips for improved readability & clarity
• Spikies now remove your worst peel instead of the last one
• Added a bonus multiplier counter to the carpentry king
• Added a kurse gain indicator when feeding the alchemy king
• If the player breaks maximum delivery speed, it is now converted into bag size
• Improved multiple tooltips that were harder to read than the remainder
• Improved penance instructions & they now appear more easily
• Improved when the dark section shows up + added cryptic hints
• Bonus kings from kards no longer devalue progression by increasing the king count
• Offline bonuses & time skips now fill up Alchemy's potion cauldron's capacity
• Reduced obstruction of essential info caused by king-clicking income
• Discord button added to the offline gains screen so more people join!
• The cosmic visitor now stays longer on screen
• Increased the amount of significant digits in scientific notation
• Halloween visuals finally reverted (what a great year for pumpkins that was)

BALANCE CHANGES

• Lucky peel kard count reduced (2,4,9,21) > (2,4,7,11)
• Alchemy potion cooldown greatly reduced (max/min 150/70 > 120/40)

FIXES AND OTHER CHANGES

• Fixed inconsistent behavior in carpentry where it could skip multiple kings
• Fixed underground reverb effect not triggering properly
• Fixed unclickable cosmic visitor spots & improved partially visible ones
• Performance improvements for the lategame
• Fixed kard effects (wiwi happiness, archers) no longer appearing for some players
• Fixed offline bonuses not giving profession rewards before certain unlocks
• Fixed framerate settings resetting on game reload
• Fixed penance growth total showing total level in some cases

Hello everyone - first of all, yes, the content with the things in the skilltree is here; I was unable to finish the alternate ending in time, but the new area is in the game with some new goals to aim for and some rare stats that can now also be increased! Second of all, how are y'all doing? Hope you've been enjoying your time (as well as the game)

NEW AREA - THE KURSED FACTORY

Well, I hope you're able to play and experience the discovery of this new area! It might require some clicking and a bit of investigation, but there are surely some cool new things to find! Yes, this is the thing that uses the Ki Parts from the transcend tree - finally I was hoping to have the alternate ending come out with this update - but it was not completed in time for the festival. You can check the roadmap for more info; it will be coming but it will be a bit late.

SPOOKIWI FESTIVAL

These are both permanent updates that add content to the game that's not going away... but a hat, a costume and spookiness were promised for this event, so we're giving you... A hat, a costume and spooky visitors.

RECAP - COSMIC VISITOR

Oh, and also very powerful cards that you can use... or save up to use later! They are also vaguely disguised for the event above! The Cosmic Visitor appears a few times per hour, popping over your screen - try not to miss them! But if you do, they'll come back a little faster than usual (they're very empathetic and worry you might feel bad for not getting the rewards).

IT'S THE END OF THE ROAD AS WE KNOW IT

GAME END UPDATE - ALTERNATE ENDING

With Cosmic Hunger, the game now has what I'd call a 'chill' ending - it gives you a bit of a harder goal and then a hopefully enjoyable payoff for you to remember. So the alternate ending, for bigger, harder, goals should come as a very memorable moment. You can spoil yourself a bit with the unachievable achievements, but I won't delve into it ahead of time.

Hello everyone, here are some small tweaks for the latest patch - hope y'all are enjoying it!

COSMIC VISITOR

• Now appears in the offline progress screen if it has been a few hours (does not trigger on timeskip cards)
• Removed a few problematic appearance locations, adjusted some and added a few new ones
• The Cosmic Visitor will stay longer if you have a time speed multiplier, so you have enough time to click it
• The Cosmic Visitor is now clickable while retreating

TWITCH INTEGRATION

• '!buy' commands will now buy the maximum amount (time to fight with chat!)
• '!click' commands now have better visual feedback and stronger impact

FIXES AND CHANGES

• King's pulp will now float in the air instead of falling to the ground
• Fixed interdimensional alchemists freezing up if they had no good targets for throwing potiions
• Fixed interdimensional archers shooting carpentry's special king
• Fixed some layering issues, but still keeping an eye out for more

(one of them is outside the game) COSMIC HUNGER is getting closer - but it's not here, this is just a tribute. The external update is... Steam Community items! (cards and all that stuff) The in-game update is... well, it's a bunch of things- but let's get the cards out of the way first!

STEAM CARDS & COMMUNITY ITEMS

Hopefully not, because that's all there is to say about this - ah wait, these items feature cool art made by my buddy Daniel Romanenco and they also contain a lot of Kiwi World lore!

TWITCH INTEGRATION (PLEASE CLAP)

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42524872/5b6adb4d7a1846843951350f05bae0be4a4a6fa8.png The game now allows streamers to connect to their chats easily through the main menu - once you're connected, chat activity and all that twitch stuff will start doing things in the game! For the 99.3% of us who aren't streamers, you can still just connect to some random chat and check out the benefits - but there's a tradeoff, if you connect to a stream you'll only have Twitch Visitors, so no more Cosmic Visitors until you disconnect!

THE INFININODES OF UPGRADENING

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42524872/78c06ca506948676c1bea351392b43a8fa380f6c.png To get everyone ready for the Cosmic Hunger update - which of course, should feature more cosmic numbers (more bigger) - there are now infininodes behind the 4 things in the skilltree. The things themselves are not yet active, but now you can enjoy buying 3 upgrade levels and going 'oof, they do be getting expensive fast, huh?'!

THE ROAD AHEAD GROWS SHORTER

We're close to the planning stage of the roadmap, and no one knows what will happen there. But until then, focus on the upcoming update instead!

ENDGAME UPDATE - COSMIC HUNGER

We now have the Cosmic Hunger update coming at the end of the month, this is the update everyone who's waiting for updates has been waiting for - and it now has a better name that isn't just a placeholder title referencing ingame placeholder elements! What's it all about? For more info you can read the event announcement for it (although the spookiwi part is already in Cosmic Visitors).

REMAINING PATCH NOTES

QUALITY OF LIFE

• Added accidental-purchase-prevention when dragging the skilltree.
• Increased the number of upgrades that 'max' can buy (up to 999).

BALANCING

• Parts of Ki have been refunded & their cost has been adjusted ahead of the next update
• The cost of the 5 krowns has been adjusted, the "first" two are much cheaper and the "last" two are much more expensive. The currency gain growth from penances was too big and was causing part of the underground content to be skipped as you could very easily chain krowns, hopefully the pacing is a little more chilled out now.

FIXES

• Fixed the feedback animation & sound for failing a spikie not playing properly
• Fixed being able to summon kings without having kings to summon

AN ENDING - AND NEW BEGINNING?

Finally the truth behind it all is revealed - who, or what, was pulling the strings of this whole story all along? ...wait, what do you mean with 'what story?' ???? This update brings more endgame content as well as a narrative ending for the game - what's a 'narrative ending'? It's where people who don't play clicker games forever close them and never open them again. For the rest of us, this could also be the gate for a new prestige layer in the future! NEW ENDGAME CONTENT - YES, NEW ENDGAME CONTENT This update adds new features such as the ones that will be in the game when the update comes out, and that's all of them right there. These new features will allow you to do the thing that the update adds that's related to the image at the top and the name of the update. If you'd like to spoil yourself and read what they are, exactly, go ahead: "what they are, exactly"

SPOOKIWI EVENT - OOooOOooOOO

To celebrate this hallowed period of the year, the ghosts of kiwis that passed have briefly returned - but I'll leave it in your hands to make sure that doesn't last long! GHOST-HUNTING - Obliterate the sins of your past as they literally haunt your game... for cool bonuses and rewards! But watch out, don't take too long or you might suffer the consequences... guilt. PUMPKIWIS - Kiwis are now pumpkins, but also still kiwis - a feeble attempt at disguising your operation, one might say, but there's no turning back - we ordered 4 trillion costumes so we're going to use them. A HAT - As a sign of respect for the culture of this game distribution platform where we all currently reside and enjoy our leisure time, we've studied the norms and traditions of its founders to create a unique, never-before-seen, ritual to honor their will. As such, there's also now a special hat. No more clarification will be provided at this point. But we're back with another update about a week after that (me getting back, not the last update). This one contains the second part of the Advanced Settings, which are not numerous but are much more impactful than the smaller ones, with highlights like Darkmode, the new unlockable Run Planner & toggleable letterboxing. Hope ya'll were holding out well enough - new content updates are back on the menu! Check the updated roadmap at the end of this post for more info on what lies ahead.

RECAP - ADVANCED OPTIONS

These were actually not just limited to options, but also included Quality of Life improvements as well. To see previously added seettings, go here!

GAMEPLAY SETTINGS ADDED

• SHOW ROYAL CEREMONY: When disabled, the kazoo & royal guard animations will not play anymore.

VISUAL SETTINGS

• DARKMODE: When enabled, completely changes the color scheme of the game so it's much darker
• LETTERBOX PLAYABLE AREA: When enabled, the game will automatically letterbox ultra-ultrawide and chonky resolutions to avoid visual issues.
• FRAMERATE SELECTOR: When v-sync is off, allows you to select the game's framerate cap.
• WINDOWED RESOLUTION: When fullscreen is off, allows you to select the game window's resolution.

INTERFACE SETTINGS

• RED FLASHING IN TRANSCEND TREE: When disabled, the transcendence screen will no longer flash while kings are alive.

THE COMPLETELY UNCHANGED ROAD AHEAD

(no) Less has changed than it might seem - the advanced options part was increased in size a little bit compared to what was originally planned, so the steam community items part popped out of it and made its own little castle.

MINOR CONTENT & RANDOM EVENTS

This update will add Kiwi Clicker's take on those random things that pop on the screen randomly that you click and get some random bonus - but of course, it wouldn't be fun if it were just 'click thing, get random effect', would it? These new powers, as well as additional smaller effects and animations, will also be used to make the game support twitch integration - so that chatters can directly interact with what they're watching!

STEAM CARDS & ALL THAT STUFF

This update isn't an update - it's all that steam stuff with cards, emotes and badges. It has its own castle now and is waiting on a few art assets to be finalized for it to come into fruition!

ENDGAME UPDATE - COSMIC HUNGER

This is the update everyone who's waiting for updates has been waiting for - and it now has a better name that isn't just a placeholder title referencing ingame placeholder elements! What's it all about? Well - it will get its own announcement soon...

REMAINING PATCH NOTES

QUALITY OF LIFE

• The game's global volume has been boosted by 10db to better support playing with speakers.
• Sliders can now be clicked and dragged from any point, not just their handles.
• The sekiwity shortcut has been changed from 'F' to 'S' to avoid accidental 'GG'ing.
• Changed a few icons and visuals to make it clearer which ones represent krowns.
• Added a 'buy all' indicator to the 'buy all' button in the profession screen.

BALANCING

• Archery now has a much lower delay between king spawns compared to normal.
• Alchemy's potion-feeding scaling factor & high tier potions point multiplier both reduced by ~20%.
• Alchemy's potion tier-scaling now grows much more significantly, up to over 500% in higher tiers
• Carpentry's king has much more health, allowing players to more easily use them for income
• Carpentry's king now heals back to full health when a kingling is spawned, allowing for more control
• Carpentry can now store up to 8 kings instead of 5, allowing for easier bonuses as well as more control over extra-long kingling combos
• Carpentry's kinglings can now be summoned with close to 0 delay - both naturally and through the button

FIXES

• Fixed sounds playing as you open the game even if you had 0 volume or muted the game.
• Fixed price indicators on buttons not instantly updating when number formatting was changed

This contains some of the most frequent requests players have made, both for settings as well as QoL improvements! ADVANCED OPTIONS - PART 1 / 2

A BEEG panel with options has been added to your game menu with multiple improvements & player-requested options; you will find it at the top center of your screen!

GAMEPLAY SETTINGS ADDED

• USE HOVER CLICKING - When enabled, hover a spammable object without clicking to start clicking automatically!
• OPEN TREE AFTER TRANSCENDING - When disabled, the transcendence tree will no longer open automatically after you transcend.
• AUTO-BUY KIWI KURSOR - When enabled, carpentry's initial auto-buy ability will also purchase upgrades for your big kiwi.
• 20s TO SET UP - When enabled, any king summons will wait for 20s after you have transcended or just opened the game again.

VISUAL SETTINGS

• VERTICAL SYNC - When disabled, the game will have an uncapped framerate instead of matching your monitor's refresh frequency.
• REDUCE FPS WHEN NOT PLAYING - When enabled, the game will run at 5 frames per second if the application is not focused.
• SHOW GUN CURSOR - When disabled, the kiwilashnikov reticle will no longer replace your system cursor even after it is unlocked.
• POPPING NUMBERS - When disabled, numbers showing how much you gained or lost of something will no longer appear above objects.
• PARTICLE EMITTERS - When disabled, all particle effects will no longer activate, like big kiwi spewing kiwis or things exploding.
• ARCHER ARROWS - When disabled, all arrows fired by archers will become invisible while still hitting their targets normally.
• SHOW STATION CORRUPTION - When disabled, all corruption effects from buying transcendence upgrades will no longer appear.
• SHOW PEEL SPINNING WHEEL - When disabled, the spinning wheel animation when applying a peel or spikie will no longer appear.

INTERFACE SETTINGS

• SHOW PRICE ON UPGRADE BUTTON - When enabled, a price indicator will appear above every station's upgrade level.
• EVERYTHING INCREASE COUNTER - When enabled, a counter for your total amount of everything increase will appear under your koin counter.
• SHOW REMINDERS AND HOVER HELPERS - When disabled, reminders like 'don't forget to click here' and hover helpers like 'buy upgrades to gain points' will no longer appear.
• SHOW PROGRESS % NEXT TO KING - When enabled, a little % indicator of how close you are to the next king will appear in the yellow summoning ring.
• SHOW PULP GAIN DURING PENANCES - When enabled, a counter for how much pulp you have collected will appear on your active penance UI.
• CLICKING OUTSIDE CLOSES TOOLTIPS - When disabled, clicking outside the main-screen tooltips will no longer close them automatically.

SOUND SETTINGS

• MUTE GAME WHEN NOT PLAYING - When enabled, the game will mute itself and return to your previous settings when you focus/unfocus the application.
• KING SOUNDS BYPASS ALL MUTING - When enabled, king-related sounds will still play even when sounds are muted by any means.
• ADD REVERB WHILE UNDERGROUND - When disabled, the game will no longer change how it sounds when you move underground.

BALANCE CHANGES

This update also comes with a bigger focus on using your profession's strengths as a meaningful source of transcendence points - general point gain has been mildly reduced with professions receiving buffs: Carpentry - Much higher max bonus multiplier per kingling and maximum bonus multiplier limit Alchemy - Feeding the king potions now scales with the number of kings you've summoned as well Archery - Was making about 10x more points than other professions and now makes only 7x more

QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS

• The game's sound now changes considerably when moving into the underground
• Alchemy now has a trash can that you can use to discard unwanted potions for whatever reason
• There's now a king counter that shows the total amount of kings you've summoned in the current run
• Alchemwiwi now throws potions on all stations during 'level one for all' penance runs
• Your new transcend currency total after transcend is shown in the transcendence confirmation screen
• There's now a percentage progress indicator on your penance progress bar, now you can see how little it moves numerically!

THE UNDERGROUND - ALL OF IT

The Underground consists of a set of features designed to empower players and make their midgame experience more engaging and enjoyable - let's see what's new, and recap the other two.

NEW FEATURE - THE SHADY PEELER

The Shady Peeler awaits at the depths of the underground... as soon as you free them from under a literal pile of trash. This new feature unlocks a slotted upgrades for all stations - by means of unpeeling a kiwi. You can buy different types of peels to suit your current currency situation, but you'll also need to decide which stations deserve more points than the others.

NEW ACHIEVEMENTS

This content also comes with new achievements, go achieve them!

RECAP - WIWI LABORATORY

RECAP - PENITENT KIWI

Increase your prestige currency multipliers by progressing deeper into each different Penance with game-altering effects! What's different about this one? Mainly that you don't have to complete penance levels one by one... but also that they may or may not be extremely meta-gameable.

NEW MINOR FEATURE - EXPORT INCENTIVES

THE UNCROSSED CROSSROADS ROAD AHEAD

SHADY PEELER Each station now has its own PEELED KIWI - apply up to 6 SHADY PEELS to the peeled kiwis to gain from BIG to HUMUNGOUSLY HUGE bonuses... your greed is your limit! Just 6, you may ask? NO! You can also add unlimited SPIKIES for additional points... but place them wisely as they may become cost-prohibitive. EARLY GAME PROGRESSION

• The early progression and unfolding of mechanics has been improved for new players.
• The underground will now become fully visible much earlier - new players can catch a glimpse of the 3 locked features there.
• Additional helpers have been added & UI reworks were made to make some concepts easier to learn naturally as you play.

EXPORT SAVE BONUS You can now start transcendences with a few extra :token: by using the save-export-incentive system. CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS

• Alchemy potions will now keep the old timer when replacing an effect if the old timer was longer than a fresh potion
• Carpentry will now save whether you had autobuy or autoratio ON/OFF`
• Alchemist wiwis' potion-yeeting AI vastly improved
• Alchemist wiwis will now yeet potions offscreen if no good targets exist`
• You can now zoom further way in the Transcendence Tree
• Courier movespeed now scales slower so they only teleport much later in the game

BUGFIXES

• Fixed carpentry wiwis not loading their stored fortify values on reopen
• Fixed offline potions overriding your previously-saved potions
• Fixed offline gains for alchemy & fortify only triggering after 1 hour instead of a few minutes
• Tooltips will now close when you scroll overground/underground
• Fixed revoked penances showing up in transcend confirmations
• Fixed wiwi tooltips closing if you clicked the wiwi egg at specific places
• Fixed upgrade prices cutting off a letter at some point
• Fixed arrows going behind corruption sprites
• Fixed cancelling a happiness policy change leaving your selector stuck displaying the previously selected change

• Added 'choose one' text to wiwis & policy change text now properly vanishes

1.1-D+ HOTFIX : if you're having issues loading into an active penance, a hotfix was released for that Heyo - here's a final warmfix with one HUGE fix, a few smaller ones, and corruption visuals! This is the last warmfix before the next content update, which should go live on the beta branch soon- Enjoy the new visuals and other minor improvements until the next feature comes out! CORRUPTION VISUALS

Corruption visuals for the remaining stations are now here! Most stations have visuals that integrate with potion transformations... but two of them get a different main sprite for each step instead... and one of those two is kinda cool!

• Fixed a rare error that could cause some players to lose save & cloud data on transcend (possibly also affected players losing save files in other contexts, but this is unconfirmed)

MINOR FIXES & CHANGES

• Added auto-kiwiker to carpentry's ratio balancing machine
• Added icons to all obtainable achievements that were using the '?' placeholder icon
• 'Overdraft' achievement reworked, now much easier and not annoyingly inconsistent to get
• Most hidden achievements are now unhidden, as long as their descriptions don't fully spoil them
• Fixed potions losing their tooltip & ability to apply effects until re-grabbed under specific conditions
• Fixed potions now showing the merge prompt when merging into a T7 active effect

REMOVED - Auto-merge: No longer exists in the potion tree NEW - Potion queue: Store up to 9 potions in your cauldron

• Merge Potion & Merge Effect: Separate unlocks > one unified unlock
• Starting potion interval: 210s > 150s
• Final potion interval: 150s > 70s
• Starting Storage: 2 shelf slots > 3 shelf slots (max unchanged)

MAJOR FIXES & CHANGES

• Fixed potions behaving erratically when dragged over stations
• Fixed carpentry easily getting into an infinite king-summon state
• Auto-buy ratio can now be set to 0, to completely ignore a station
• You can now hold shift(5) or control(25) when changing auto-buy ratios
• Carpentry auto-upgrades now ignore locked stations in penances
• Fixed underground bouncer appearing much later than they should
• Alchemwiwis' potion-throwing logic now properly prioritizes stations
• Offline gains will now trigger after 10 minutes, and the screen after 30 (used to be 15min, 1h)

• Fixed an error that could cause your transcend button (among other things) to stop working if your steam authentication failed while playing
• Save backups are now staggered, instead of paired, compared to the base save - let's see if this alleviates the save loss happening to a tiny amount of players on crash/system shutdown
• Fixed kiwis going through kings when your speed multiplier got absurdly high
• Fixed wiwis not using the proper krown requirements for their level checkpoints
• Sekiwity now has a flicker-reducing cover that triggers when it starts getting considerably fast

Kiwi Clicker Update 1.1 - Underground Content Part 2 / 3

Hello everyone, I hope you've enjoyed the launch week of Kiwi Clicker! The game's been doing pretty decently - but who's here for that? This is a very cool content patch - or at least, I hope so. I've added the two most-requested features. Oh, you can also kinda multi-profession now? I say kinda because it's not the same, you see - there are these mercenaries and did I mention they can get stronger than the original profession? you can do that now too, it's a cheap early game unlock - I made this one into a righteous vs devious decision thing, so players who want to feel good about happy kiwis feel like selfless martyrs and players who wanted things to be even worse for the little guys feel like evil rulers.

NEW FEATURE - OFFLINE PROGRESS

Also, they're not very good at unsupervised work, who knew?

THE HAPHAZARD FOOTWAY ROAD AHEAD

As you can see, it is completely clear that the next steps will be carried out in this exact order, and no unforeseen circumstances will ever come to pass.

NEXT UPDATE: SHADY DEALS

This one's the next one for sure - no line swerving here. It's the last one in the Underground Content Update block, and its aim is to bring additional depth to your decision-making and add some risk, some emotion... perhaps even excitement? Who knows, I'm not the one who's gonna be shaking hands with a mysterious underground creature every 10 minutes to get more pinky-pink coin things.

Wiwis

That's the real name of the mercenaries - yes. They were added to the game. There were tons of changes before it went live, but this is the first live version so we'll consider this to be their original state.

Happiness Policy

You can now unlock a happiness policy selector through the transcendence tree - happier policies will deduct a small percentage of your koin gain, and more miserable ones will increase it ever-so-slightly.

Offline Progress

Offline progress now exists - it's main purpose is to gain potions & fortify while away (does not count your Wiwi). It also gives a meager amount of koins and kurses, so archers don't feel too left out.

Clarity Improvements

Improved clarity on what a 'Krown' is - this means that the actual 'Krowns' stand out much more now - oh, and also everything that used to be a 'crown' in the transcendence tree is no longer a 'crown'. Improved clarity on 'king containment' and 'unique kings' - now they're just called 'essential skills' in transcendence, no one knew what they did anyway so at least now they sound important. The tooltips in the profession screen have been rewritten, and archery now gets their king first.

New Achievements

The new content brings 9 new achievements - oooOOoooOOoooOOooOo what could they be? I'll be completing missing achievement icons in the upcoming days, but the achievements still count!

Minor Changes

• Archery now gets their Unique King first (and cheaper) and their containment skill second
• Upcoming content (not yet in the game) is now clearly marked as such to avoid more surprises
• Potions will now be yeeted into their slots instead of poofed, this allows wiwis to do wiwi things
• Archerwiwi has a toggle for whether it shoots kings or not - but only when applicable
• Carpentry ratio upgrade will always upgrade the option with the result for LEVEL / RATIO
• 'Remember to click here to speed up' will now only trigger once per game session
• The world no longer scrolls if you have an overlay menu open (anything that covers the screen)
• Added a little reminder to feed the alchemy king potions so people actually do that
• Moved elements around so that Wiwis can fit properly over the profession area
• Made the underground entrance a little more attention-grabbing so people check it out

Fixes & Similar

• Fixed challenge timers not ignoring game-time multipliers (they should)
• Fixed being able to accidentally grab multiple potions, causing unexpected results
• Fixed 3 penance failure-state achievements that were not triggering properly
• Fixed not being able to see your system cursor when importing & exporting with the gun unlocked
• About 40-million Wiwi-related fixed caught in the beta, hahahahah how lovely

UPDATE 1.0-B - Launch Version Fixes & QoL

Hello everyone, hope you're enjoying the game! I didn't want to hold back on these fixes for much longer while still working on the content update, so I decided to push an update with the fixed and improvements from launch day before the content update - so here it is! As always, you might need to re-open steam to receive the update- Aight, that's it for now - have fun!

1.0-C HOTFIX

Fixed an error where, after the koin requirement rebalance, it would ignore your stored kings during the calculation, causing your king storage to always fill up to maximum when a king was triggered.

GENERAL CHANGES

• Changed how the total koin requirement for the next king summon scales - your very first transcendence should take 35% less time. It should be slightly easier to gain up to 36 points per transcend right now and, after that, it becomes increasingly harder compared to before
• Changed how the first upgrades are unlocked at the very start of the game - now you don't need to save up just to see them, they'll unlock when your lifetime koins gained surpasses the requirement
• The unchosen professions now show a little text telling you that you can choose again after transcending
• Changed how developer cheats are activated so people stop accidentally triggering them and thinking that the game is completely broken

ARCHERY

They doubted you, they said archery would never be as absurdly broken beyond all possibility great as it once was... and they were right. But it's considerably better after this update.

• Skill node order adjusted to increase freedom of choice in your progression
• Feature-enabling node costs reduced back to reasonable numbers
• The King of Undeath's timer will now only start running after it 'dies'
• Archers will now shoot when you press SPACE or F ( if you have the respective upgrades for clicking with those )

ALCHEMY

• Skill node costs adjusted to ease tree progression in the early-game

CARPENTRY

• Fortify now multiplies ALL kiwi income sources
• Re-organized nodes skilltree so you have access to all essential choices right away
• Fixed a bug where Fortify was not multiplying auto-kiwiker

CARPENTRY KINGLING BONUS

This change is hard to explain so it gets its own section - changed how the kingling bonus is calculated so it's not still completely broken. Before: Each kingling burst adds 1 STACK - when a kingling dies, you gain STACK * BONUS_PER_STACK * KING_POINTS extra transcendence points New: Each kingling burst increases the bonus value directly ( BONUS_MULTI += BONUS_PER_STACK ) - when a kingling dies, you gain BONUS_MULTI * KING_POINTS extra points What does this all mean? That that first kingling you killed 10 minutes ago at 3% Fortify will always be worth just +3%, instead of, for no good reason whatsoever, it retroactively scaling with the Fortify you have now

GENERAL FIXES

• Fixed 'Seasoned Professional' achievement unlocking before you became a seasoned professional
• Fixed 'Pining for the Kijords' not unlocking if your first king had been put to rest before the achievement was added
• Fixed the 'Become an Archery Player' penance not returning your production to normal if you had reached 0 on the timer
• Fixed transcend sounds playing when all sound was muted - now it will only play if at least one is unmuted and above 0% volume
• Fixed rounding making it seem like you had enough currency for a purchase when in fact you did not

CAUGHT IN THE BETA BRANCH

These didn't make it to live - but I promise they existed and were fixed!

• 'Purchase All' button incorrectly appears as mastered with profession nodes still available
• 'Purchase All' button can charge you for already-unlocked nodes

BETA 0.9j+ - Penance Challenges + Achievements ( + fixes)

Hello - this patch contains a lot of things - mainly Penances & Steam Achievements - let's get straight into it!

PENANCE - THE COOLER CHALLENGE

Penances have been added to the game - take on additional run-modifying effects in exchange for permanent increases to your transcendence currency income! There's some pretty cool game-changing ones - removing deliveries, removing kiwis altogether, artificially making people play alchemy, and more than a couple more!

STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS - THEY HAVE ARRIVED

Steam achievements are here! Achieve them!

SOME CHANGES

• Reset Save Button: Doesn't exist > Exists in the menu (tuckered way on the right)
• King Summon Button: Always takes up a lot of space > takes up less space after hovering
• Carpentry ratio-upgrade: Buys from left to right > buys most affordable under the ratio

BALANCE

General balance changes:

• New sounds: considerably imbalanced > considerably more balanced
• TIer up visuals: Every tier > for the first tier, and then every second tier
• Transcendence tree costs: increased last patch > branch krowns & tier 2 increased this patch too

Archery has been nice and quiet lately - so it can have a little buff, as a treat.

• King of Undeath Min Koin Multiplier: What it was > Double that
• Profession Tree Node Costs: Unfairly High > Back to being more fair

Alchemy, the long-forgotten art... because no one has been playing it. More adjustments might come, but for now this is the change it's getting. there's also a potion-only challenge - woOooOooOoOOo

• Max Recursive Tier Up Chance: 40% > 64%

Carpentry found itself the metagaming god of the lategame - which is fine, if it hadn't become the the best at really short runs! C'mon carpentry, that's the opposite of your job. As such, the way that the consecutive kingling bonus works has been reworked.

• Consecutive Kingling Bonus: A constant value > Your Fortify multiplier, up to a maximum of the previous constant value

Your game now saves a backup save! But you should also still save your own backup save elsewhere too!

Everything Multiplier: Previous value > 50% of previous value: Everything Multiplier Multiplier: Doesn't exist > will exist next update King Exponential Reduction: Absolute trash > 20% Exponential (that's 10 000 easier by the nonillions!)

FIXES

Carpentry ratios are now kept even if you play other professions||, you traitor - how could you?|| Another two fixes to things that were weird when spawning kinglings with the Carpentry King. There's probably still a fix or two left.

The unique abilities for the Alchemy & Carpentry king are here! (the Archery king already had one) Unique King Skills offer possibilities to accelerate your progression - keep an eye out for yellow pulps!

DELIVERY LINE REWORK

Bag-stuffing interval is now upgradeable in the transcendence tree - the whole process has also been changed and you will now be able to have tons of deliveries & also reach much faster speeds!

BIGGER NUMBERS

Number formatting has been rewritten from the ground up - it now properly supports up to... the maximum supported numbers! The default notation is alphabetical - scientific is also supported, but will only be selectable after Wednesday's update and is available as of the 0.9h update! Maximum level of all upgrades has also been greatly increased & multiple number-breaking bugs have been corrected.

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

KING'S PULP: Now visually drops from kings and is picked up on mouseover KING CONTAINMENT: Part of the UNIQUE KINGS upgrade > Is its own upgrade now PRICE PREVIEW: You can now see the cost of nodes before they're reached UPGRADE WINDOW: Now closes if you click the button of the open upgrade

FIXES

• Fixed tier 2 transcendence upgrades sometimes not having their effect or cost multipliers applied
• Fixed bugs that caused some numbers to turn into infinty or NaN after a certain point

MAJOR WARMFIXES

• Fixed an error where players where passing the maximum transcendence reward amount would hardlock the game.
• Fixed being able to spawn carpentry spawnlings from storage without spending any stored kings. Additionally, if 4 spawnlings already exist, the button won't pop out and natural king summons won't happen until at least one bursts.

This patch contains some cool visuals & more transcendence upgrades - the next content update is scheduled for next Wednesday, but I'll try to get the missing 3 kings content out by the weekend ahead of it.

All station branches in the transcendence skilltree have received a second section of upgrades located behind their crowns, hooray!

TRANSCENDENCE SKILLTREE COST ADJUSTMENTS STATION BRANCHES: Start cheap and increase considerably > Start cheap and increase considerably more CONTROLS BRANCH: Cheap > Cheaper ARCHERY SKILLTREE Costs shifted away from max time multiplier and into the nodes that make each other a billion times more powerful if you have 80% of them at the same time and you really shouldn't be getting that in the early game and that really breaks things and *BREATHES* go buy those discount upgrades

MINOR FIXES

• Fixed bugs that didn't make it to the live version. You weren't there, you wouldn't get it.

NEW FEATURE - UNIQUE KINGS

Every profession can now unlock their own unique king! What do they do? They're pretty cool and provide a few benefits over the regular king - can you figure them out or will we be waiting for the tooltip update on that one?

• Fixed text & tooltips that referenced altered content or used wrong terminology
• Reduced the duration of 'why the hell is nothing happening'-time when transcending
