For the past 14 months, we’ve been quietly working on something new. Today, we’re excited to finally share our next game: Victor’s Video Vault.
Inspired by late nights in the 90s browsing the shelves of video rental stores like Blockbuster, we wanted to capture that feeling of discovery and turn it into something unique.
Victor’s Video Vault is a horror game where, after the last customer leaves, the final movie rented begins to rewrite reality. The genre of the film becomes the world around you.
This is easily the most ambitious project we’ve ever taken on. We’ve poured everything into it, from the gameplay to the fully hand-crafted art style, built with gritty pixel textures over a low-poly world.
We know this is very different from Keeper’s Toll, and we won’t be constantly cross-promoting it here. But after 14 months of work, we wanted to share what we’ve been building in case it resonates with some of you.
If it looks interesting, please consider wishlisting the game. It really helps more than you might think.
We still have a lot ahead of us, and we’ll be sharing more as development continues.
Thanks for taking the time to check out our next game. See you in the Vault! :)
Oh, and stay posted for future updates on KT. Nothing to announce yet, but hopefully we'll get word on something soon.

The Steam Spring Sale has arrived, and Keeper's Toll is currently 40% off for the duration of the event!
Whether you're discovering the game for the first time or recommending it to a friend, we want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported the game since launch.
We've been working on a new game for over a year now.
Sometime within the next couple of months we'll be announcing our next game. While it's very different from Keeper's Toll, we're extremely excited to finally share what we've been building behind the scenes.
As for Keeper's Toll, we may have some additional news later this year.
We're currently exploring a new port for another storefront, and if that moves forward it could potentially include some small changes or additions to the game.
If that happens, we'll of course update the game on other platforms as well (including Steam) so everyone can benefit from any new additions.
Nothing to confirm just yet, but we'll share more details as things progress.
Thank you again for all the support. It truly means a lot to us.
Enjoy the Spring Sale!

Hello everyone!
We’re excited to share that Keeper’s Toll is participating in the Tiny Roguelikes Festival, running from January 31, with the game discounted 40% off for the full duration of the event.
https://store.steampowered.com/developer/rogueduck/sale/TinyRoguelikes2026
We’re honored to be included alongside so many great roguelike and roguelite titles. If you’re browsing for a deal or discovering new games to dive into, we encourage you to check out the full festival lineup.
Additionally, Keeper’s Toll will also be featured in Steam’s Flash Game Vibes Fest, which begins on February 7 and runs for two weeks. The 40% discount will remain active during the first week of that event as well.
Thanks for all the continued support, and we hope you enjoy the festivals!
We also wanted to share something we enjoy looking back on: how Keeper’s Toll evolved over time.
Below, you’ll find the original concept art for the boss, Sporelord Rotwood, shown next to his final in-game pixel art version. Seeing how characters transform from early ideas into their finished forms is one of our favorite parts of development.
You’ll also find the original concept art for Castle Usvit. Interestingly, this area was initially planned as a multi-section environment featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces. The concept shown represents the outdoor portion, but during development, the castle ultimately became an entirely indoor location within the game.
Thank you all for showing interest in Keeper’s Toll and for continuing to support the game. If you’re enjoying your time with KT, leaving a Steam review helps more than you might realize, and we truly appreciate every review.
Until next time Cheers!

If you already own KT, don’t miss out! There are plenty of other great games to discover and enjoy.
Additionally, the presenters of this fest are trying to convince Steam to create a new tag for games like KT, whether that be Bullet Heaven, Survivor Like, Horde Survival etc. If you have a minute to click a few boxes, you could most certainly help push this initiative forward. Hello Everyone,
We’re excited to bring you Update 1.3.0 just in time for Steam’s Scream Fest 🎃 — and yes, the game will be 40% off during the entire event!
Once you defeat Kalinov while playing as the Necromancer, you will unlock hollow flame. At the start of a new run, a mysterious brazier will appear. If you choose to ignite the Hollow Flame, your skeleton summons will evolve at Rank 5 into fire-spitting jack-o-lantern warriors.
These new minions bring fury in a unique playstyle:
Increased damage output
Longer targeting range
Fire Projectile Attacks pierce through enemies
Slightly slower attack speed (to balance the carnage)
This evolution is not just a seasonal gimmick — it’s a permanent addition to Keeper’s Toll. Players have been asking for more summons for quite some time, and we felt now is the perfect time!
NOTE: If you have already defeated Kalinov while playing as the Necromancer, you will have to defeat him again as new code was written in this update to track the unlock.
We’ve added a tracker for your current run’s total damage. You’ll be able to see it clearly in the pause menu.
This update also includes a number of bug fixes, polish, and requested quality-of-life improvements to keep the game running smoothly:
- Updated Game Engine to Unity 2022.3.62f2
- Bug Fix: Challenge Altar in End of Time for Spirit Archers Event will now properly disable shadow and collider when the altar fades
- Challenge Event: Spirit Archers: pooled the attack arrows for performance boost
- Achievements: Added a failsafe to submit total kills achievements on game startup
- Bug Fix: Bogatyr had incorrect defense scaling which could be affected by leveling up Ironclad and obtaining a permanent defense boost while low health. This has been fixed.
- Bug Fix: in End of Time, after the final boss is defeated, mega soul collection no longer spawns flashing rings of souls. code refactored and positioning adjusted
- Souls will no longer countdown to be disabled while the game is paused
- Back/Cancel button will now close shops
Console ports will be updated with this new content as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!
As we look ahead beyond this update, our team’s main development continues to be focused toward our next game (TBA). Keeper’s Toll will continue to receive support with fixes and improvements as needed — we want to make sure it remains a great experience for everyone who plays.
We have many new ideas and worlds we’re excited to bring to life next — and we can’t wait to share more when the time comes.
We want to thank everyone who’s been playing and supporting Keeper’s Toll. If you’re enjoying the game, please consider leaving a review on Steam — it helps us tremendously.
As always, if you have feedback, bug reports, or requests, feel free to reach out. We love hearing from you and are always happy to listen and chat.
Stay safe this Halloween — and don’t forget to ignite the Hollow Flame 🔥💀🎃

We’re excited to share that version 1.2.0 of Keeper’s Toll is now live on Steam. This update brings a little new content, new options, and a handful of improvements based on player feedback.
For players who enjoy the Bogatyr class, you can now unlock a new skin: The Dusk Knight. This version of the Bogatyr offers a faster, more aggressive playstyle with a modified quick strike and a full reskin of abilities.
How to unlock: Max all talents on the Bogatyr, and the Dusk Knight will become available as a playable option.
There's a new Uncommon Merchant item, the Sunforged Talisman, to be found only while playing as the Dusk Knight.
We’ve expanded the dual stick/mouse aim control scheme so it’s available to every class, not just the Ranger. While this doesn’t change abilities into free-aim like the Ranger, it does give more control over directional attacks for those who prefer this style. You can now maintain movement and face direction independent of one another. You can enable this control style in the Options Menu by checking the box labeled Dual Stick Controls. By default, it is off.
Version 1.2.0 also includes various quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to help smooth out gameplay.
Revised menu navigation so buttons/text will now properly highlight/unhighlight based on active input source, allowing you to swap inputs with ease and maintain proper navigation throughout the User Interface
Optimized Rain Particle System. Boosted performance, efficiency and fixed a rare memory access error
Bug Fix: Treasure Snail speed is now clamped and will properly deactivate after a specific amount of time when retreating from the player
Fixed some import settings that were incorrect on a handful of sprites
Object pooling for some of Bogatyr's attacks to boost performance
Bogatyr - Tempest – removed some invalid references on the sprite animation
Player sprite will no longer flash red while getting hit if invulnerable
Keeper’s Toll is featured in today’s Steam Daily Deal. For the first time since Full Release, we’re offering our largest discount yet – 40% off! There's never been a better time to jump in and give KT a go. We're here to chat if you have any questions.
While much of our time has been spent working on our next game (TBA), we remain committed to supporting Keeper’s Toll. Our immediate focus is to bring the console versions of KT up to parity with the Steam version, after which we’ll look at what new content or features we can add to the game.
Thank you all for your continued support and feedback—it means a lot. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat, share ideas, or report bugs.
Thank you,
Stingbot Games
