Cali has been imprisoned in Mudha Dungeon for a long time. Every day, her hatred grows and spreads around Mudha Dungeon, affecting everything that exists there.

After a long stretch of time, Cali has finally gathered enough negative energy from the neighboring areas that are at war with each other. Cali thrives on discord and lives off the enmity that springs from the heart of every being in Kathana. As other chaos ensues outside Mudha, Cali has found a way to channel these negative energies to empower her again.

And that time has finally come. Cali finally broke free from her chains in Mudha and headed to the place she knew would be instrumental to the growth of her power: the town of Forge.

The Town of Forge has been peaceful and has a booming trading industry. Merchants and skilled people lives in these area—the blacksmiths, jewel traders, great forgers of shields and other weapons. Because of the purity of their simple, uncorrupted living, the people of Forge are best known for the great quality of their products. Foreigners go to Forge to witness the people create works of art, believing that the gods of Kathana bless everything that folks of Forge create.

Summoning all creatures of evil from all parts of Kathana through the portals she created, Cali invaded the Town of Forge. She killed all who are of no use to her, and manipulated into submission those who she thinks will serve her purpose.

The bustling Town of Forge became a town of sorrows and suffering spirits overnight.

The gods of Kathana, angry beyond belief that the blessed town of Forge had been unabashedly robbed of any sign of life, has finally come to a decision to send help to the pathfinders of the realm of Kathana.

They send in an aspect of themselves by creating the Guardians—spirits that will help the pathfinders of Kathana and assist them in destroying Cali.

Together with their Guardians, the athfinders of Kathana must again bond together to put a stop to Cali’s revenge.

It is time to head to the Forge

MacOS Kathana Client Is Now Available!

We are thrilled to announce that the native MacOS version of the Kathana client is now officially live.

Following the release of our Linux client, expanding support to MacOS marks another important milestone in our commitment to making Kathana accessible across more platforms. Mac users can now enjoy the game with a native client built specifically for their system.

Getting started is simple. Visit Steam, download Kathana, and the appropriate native MacOS client will be installed automatically.

The Forge update and the new level cap increase have been rescheduled to Friday. This additional time will be used to complete final implementation, balancing, and testing to ensure the update is ready for release.

Highlights

New Feature: Rupiah Voucher Packs

Introducing Rupiah Voucher Packs, a new way to securely store and sell your Rupiah through the in-game Marketplace. These vouchers can be exchanged and sold back to NPCs for their full value, allowing players to trade their stored Rupiah more conveniently.

• Exchange your Rupiah for Rupiah Voucher Packs by speaking with Horseman Rahul in Mandara Village.

• Voucher Packs can be sold to any NPC shop to recover the exact amount of Rupiah originally used to purchase them.

• Rupiah Voucher Packs cannot be traded directly between players, but they can be listed on the Marketplace.

New Event: PvP Kill Race

A new PvP Kill Race event has been introduced for Kruma and Anaka Kruma.

• A GM will announce and activate the event for all players.

• The objective is to eliminate as many opposing players as possible during the event.

• Players who rank among the top killers will automatically receive their rewards in their in-game mailbox.

• Higher rankings earn greater rewards.

• The minimum number of kills required and the number of rewarded participants will be determined by the GM for each event.

Increased Monster Spawn Rate

An initial update has been deployed to increase monster spawn rates across several hunting areas. Additional adjustments will be made in future updates to further improve overall monster distribution in all maps, including Shambala. To maintain the previous overall Rupiah acquisition rate, Rupiah drops have been slightly reduced to compensate for the increased monster density. This change has been applied to the following maps:

• Mandara

• Shambala Dungeon 1

• Jina

• Pamir Plains

• Exile

• Emperor's Tomb

• Biryu

God Change Improvements

The God Change system has been updated to provide a more consistent and transparent experience. These improvements make the system easier to understand by clearly presenting the costs and consequences of changing gods before confirmation.

• Adjusted God Change cost scaling to provide smoother progression across character levels.

  • The Rupiah fee now increases every 30 levels, beginning at level 30.

• Improved cost balancing while continuing to account for the population ratio of each god faction.

  • More populated god factions will have higher costs, while less populated factions will have lower costs.

• Enhanced Rupiah cost formatting for improved readability (e.g. 9,000,000).

• Updated the confirmation window to clearly display:

  • Selected God

  • Rupiah Cost

  • Master Points that will be lost

• Improved the accuracy and clarity of the cost information displayed before confirming a God Change.

Feature Changes

• The death warning message displayed in Kruma has been changed. It will now appear as a system chat log instead of a pop-up notification.

• Naoki has been relocated for the Yuri and Naoki quest and can now be found in the southern area of the Warfare Ruins.

Whether you're fighting on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, CachyOS, Bazzite, or most modern Linux distributions, you can now experience Kathana natively on your favorite platform. We know many of you have been waiting for this, and we're thrilled to finally welcome the Linux community to the battlefield.

Client Degradation and visual issues have been fixed

• Significantly improved FPS and overall game performance.

• The character direction indicator on both the world map and minimap now rotates based on camera orientation.

• Added a UI Scaling option, allowing players to adjust the interface size to their preference.

• Refined weapons now display their glow effects while in the character selection lobby.

• Refined weapon glow effects are now also visible within safe zones in towns.

• Fixed font display issues across multiple supported languages.

• Added text outlines to improve readability throughout the interface.

• Added a new V-Sync option that caps FPS according to your monitor's refresh rate.

• Replaced the legacy shadow system with a modern RT Shadow system.

• Removed HD Textures.

• Added an MSAA graphics setting.

Highlights

Kathana Pass System

• Kathana Pass is a progression system that allows all players to earn rewards by completing tasks.

• There is no level requirement to begin participating, although some tasks may require a specific level.

• Kathana Pass resets monthly with new tasks and rewards.

• Kathana Pass does not use a leveling or experience system to unlock rewards.

• All tasks can be completed at any time during the season, with no daily limits or time-gated objectives.

• Each completed task grants rewards immediately upon completion.

• There are two reward categories: Free Tier and VIP Tier.

• Rewards include a mixture of Premium Items and Prana Scrolls.

• Players who unlock the VIP Tier can obtain Prana Scrolls that grant Prana based on their current level. Whether you are Level 10 or Amara 10, these scrolls will provide the same percentage of progress toward your current level.

Implemented New Items

• Added Prana Scrolls, available exclusively through the Kathana Pass, with the exception of the Greater Prana Scroll.

  • Minor Prana Scroll — Grants 1% of the total Prana required for your current level.

  • Small Prana Scroll — Grants 2% of the total Prana required for your current level.

  • Prana Scroll — Grants 3% of the total Prana required for your current level.

  • Greater Prana Scroll — Grants 4% of the total Prana required for your current level.

  • Grand Prana Scroll — Grants 5% of the total Prana required for your current level.

Major Changes to the PvP System

New PvP Mechanics

• Neutral players (white names) who attack players with Aggressor status (purple names) will now become Aggressors themselves.

• If Neutral player does not retaliate and is subsequently killed, the attacker will become a Murderer (red name with Karma).

• Players who assist Aggressors through healing or buffs will also receive Aggressor status.

• The 10% item drop chance applies only to Murderers (red-name players).

From now on, players who assist an Aggressor will be considered accomplices. Regardless of whether the assistance comes from healing, buffing, or any other supportive action, helping an Aggressor will cause you to become an Aggressor as well.

PK and Combat Score System

• Implemented a new PvP tracking system for Player Kills and Combat Kills.

• Added two new statistics to the Character Status window: Murders and Combat Kills.

• The Murders counter increases whenever a player kills a Neutral player.

• The Combat Kills counter increases whenever a player defeats an Aggressor or Murderer.

• This scoring system only applies in non-PvP designated areas, including Kruma, Anaka Kruma, Chaturanga, or Mudha Dungeon.

New Feature: Party Master Loot

• Added a new Master Loot option to the Party Settings.

• When a Party Leader enables Master Loot, all item drops collected by party members will be automatically transferred to the Party Leader.

• If the Party Leader is outside the party loot range or is dead, the player who picks up the item will receive it instead.

• Rupiah will continue to be distributed automatically among all eligible party members within party range.

Fixes & Improvements for Automatic Hunt

• Fixed an issue where Automatic Hunt could become permanently stuck, remaining enabled while the character stopped attacking, moving, or searching for monsters.

• The Automatic Hunt ON/OFF toggle now performs a complete system reset, clearing all internal states, including cooldown trackers and aggro data that could previously persist between activations.

• Added an automatic recovery system for stalled Automatic Hunt sessions. If Automatic Hunt remains inactive for 30 seconds while enabled, it will automatically reset and resume operation without requiring a game restart.

Additional Notes

• Restarting the game, deleting temporary files, clearing the Windows Prefetch folder, or rebooting your PC is no longer necessary, as these actions did not resolve the underlying issue.

• If Automatic Hunt becomes unresponsive, it should now recover automatically within approximately 30 seconds.

• If the issue persists after the automatic recovery period, please report it so our team can investigate further.

Two New Questlines Added

• Added the new quest The Slumber of Shiva, the Sealed God, available to characters level 90 and above.

• Added the new quest Kali, Goddess of Destruction and Carnage, available to characters level 92 and above.

Feature Changes

• Added a new EBB announcement that notifies all players when a character with Karma drops an item upon death.

• Event Chakra Reset and Event Skill Reset items can now be sold to NPC merchants for Rupiah.

• Players with Murderer (Karma) status will no longer drop items marked as No Trade.

• Tears of God, Crystal, and Dark Crystal can now only be transferred to other players through the Marketplace, or indirectly by using them to craft an item that is then traded. These items can still be obtained from all existing sources as before.

  • These items can no longer be traded.

  • These items can no longer be dropped.

  • These items can no longer be sold through Player Vendors.

  • These items cannot be stored in the Ashram Storage

• The PK button is now visible in the Game Shortcut Menu even when the menu is collapsed.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where characters could occasionally appear in a T-pose, including after casting certain skills.

• Fixed an issue where Deva and Garuda characters would sometimes skip the standing animation when standing up via double-click while seated.

• Fixed an issue where Vendor Shops did not correctly display item prices exceeding 1 billion Rupiah.

• Fixed an issue where obtaining Kruma Blessing incorrectly removed a player's Karma points.

• Fixed an issue where monsters could occasionally display Ashram Emblems above their names.

• Fixed an issue where the client could fail to connect on Windows 10 systems.

• Fixed an issue where scrolling in the Kathana Pass window could reset the UI position.

• Reduced the size of the interface text font.

• Fixed an issue where pressing F12 would enable developer statistics.

• Fixed an issue where the Quick Access Icon Bar did not correctly align with the right edge of the screen.

• Fixed an issue that could prevent quest progression.

• Fixed an issue that could cause the client to crash unexpectedly.

• Fixed an issue where the "@" character could not be entered during account registration when using certain keyboard layouts.

Highlights

Implemented Offline Shop Mode

• Players can now leave their characters automatically selling items after closing the game client.

• Added a new Offline Shop button to the Vendor Shop window. This button becomes available once Vendor Mode is activated, allowing the character to continue selling items automatically while the game client disconnects from the server.

• The character will be removed from the world once all listed items are sold, or when the player reconnects to the same account with any character.

• Items sold while Offline Shop Mode is active will be reported to the player through the in-game mail system upon reconnecting to the game.

• An \ tag is automatically added to a character’s shop name to indicate that the player is disconnected from the world while the character remains active and continues selling items.

Item Mall layout design improvements

• Updated the Item Mall layout to provide additional space for item descriptions.

• Added detailed tooltip information indicating item restrictions.

• Changed Item Mall grid layout from 5x5 to 4x6, reducing one visible slot while improving overall usability and spacing, particularly for lower-resolution displays.

• Improved section tab alignment for greater visual consistency.

• Fixed texture distortions affecting certain UI elements.

• Removed the orange color used in section descriptions to improve readability.

• Refined item slot layout to better distribute internal elements and reduce visual clutter, improving overall UI clarity and alignment consistency.

Implemented Item Chat Links

• Players can now link items in chat by pressing Shift + Click on an item in their inventory.

• Hovering over linked items will display detailed item information.

• Item upgrades and additional attributes will also be shown.

Implemented Player Notifications

• Players can now receive system chat notifications when an Ashram member or a friend from the Address Book connects or disconnects.

Shields Can Now Receive Additional Stat Upgrades

• Manipura, Vishuda, Anahata, Azna, and Om Yantra can now be applied to Shields.

• Taru Stones can now convert Chakra stats into the desired elemental attribute or Evasion stat.

  • Using Taru Raga Mani, Taru Nila Mani, Taru Visazan, or Taru Luvati will convert Chakra stats into the selected elemental attribute.

  • Using Taru Om Yantra will convert Chakra stats into Evasion.

Added New Items

• \ Quality Silfrijan

• 1 Hour Karma Orb and 4 Hours Karma Orb have been added to the Item Mall.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the EBB displayed text across multiple lines.

• Fixed an issue where additional hotbars did not display tooltips for assigned skills and items.

• Fixed an issue where the icons for Party Recall and Rogajama were incorrectly swapped.

• Fixed a visual issue where items temporarily disappeared from the inventory after attempting to list them on the Marketplace without sufficient Rupiah.

• Fixed an issue where the Party Recall skill could be used while the player was not in a party.

Introducing Community Quests

• Players can now complete Community Quests together while on the same map.

• Progress is shared among all players present on the map.

• These events can start randomly at any time, any day and may occur on different maps.

• Rewards may include bonuses such as increased Drop, Prana or Rupiah rewards.

Amara skills can now be upgraded.

• Each Amara skill can now be upgraded up to Level 3.

• Effects that previously existed in Amara skills but were not displayed are now properly shown in the skill descriptions.

• The base stats of Level 1 Amara skills have been slightly reduced; however, fully upgrading these skills will make them stronger than before.

Feature Changes

• Nakudo Hammer of Zosimo is no longer consumed upon the first activation of Automatic Hunt.

• The Next Target (E) key can no longer be used during Automatic Hunt.

• The Target command is now disabled during Automatic Hunt.

• Players can now close vendor shops by pressing the Escape key.

• Ashram names displayed above characters are now enclosed in < >.

• Ashram Leaders will now carry the title “Maharaja” beneath the Ashram name, visible to all players.

• Reduced the delay before a character selects the next target while Automatic Hunt is enabled.

• Fixed an issue where the character would sit after dancing for an extended period of time.

• Fixed an issue where the target's HP bar duplicated the character’s HP bar after using healing skills.

• Fixed an issue where the character automatically attacked a target after being hit, even while idle.

• Fixed an issue where executing Savitri Force together with an attack skill prevented the character from using other skills.

• Fixed an issue where monsters would suddenly disappear after dying.

• Fixed an issue affecting Asura/Rakshasa, where they would stop attacking after a quick sequence of Paraka and a normal attack.

• Fixed an issue where casting time could be skipped after a series of skill combinations and equipment changes.

• Fixed an issue where equipment stats were not restored after using the Nakudo Hammer of Zosimo when the item was completely broken.

• Fixed an issue where updating an Ashram member’s rank required the character to restart the game.

• Fixed an issue where attack animations were skipped after selecting another target during an attack.

• Fixed an issue where the character could not perform skills or switch targets after using a buff while the monster was behind an obstacle.

Character Transfer & Character Rename Now Available!

The cost of both services depends on the level of the character being renamed or migrated, at a rate of USD 1 per level. Limitations:

• Both services require the character to be at least level 40.

• If the character being renamed or migrated belongs to an Ashram, our staff will remove them automatically. If the character is the Ashram owner, the GM will require the player to leave the Ashram themselves so the system can assign a new owner.

• For character migrations, only equipped items and whatever the character can carry in their inventory will be included. Storage contents and premium services cannot be migrated to a new account.

• For rename requests, the name selected by our staff will be applied exactly as written in the request, including uppercase and lowercase letters.

Depending on the number of requests we have at the time of your submission, processing your request may take up to 72 hours. You may continue playing normally while you wait. Once your request is processed, your character will be automatically disconnected from the game. Additionally, we have introduced a new way to distribute gifts. Through the support portal, players can now claim free rewards. These gifts will be announced through our usual channels and will have an expiration date. • Players can now earn double Master Points for one hour in Kruma and High Kruma.

Party Buff Display System

• Players can now view the active buffs currently applied to their party members.

• This system applies to buff effects only.

Prana Bonus for Satya and Vidya

• The entire party receives a 20% Prana bonus when a Satya is present.

• The entire party receives a 10% Prana bonus when a Vidya is present.

• Both bonuses can stack, granting up to a 30% total Prana bonus when both classes are in the party.

• Additional Satya or Vidya members will not provide extra Prana beyond this limit.

Feature Changes

• System EBB messages now appear in sky blue text to distinguish them from regular player-sent EBB messages.

• Level restrictions have been applied to public EBB messages and Battle Warrant:

  • EBB now requires a minimum level of 20.

  • Battle Warrant now requires a minimum level of 30.

• Fixed an issue where other players could not see the increased size of GM characters.

• Fixed an issue preventing players from entering Pamir at level 45.

Highlights

• Added additional bonus stats to all equipment sets (excluding the Chori Set).

• Increased the level cap to Amara 10 (Level 110).

• Adjusted the level gap rules for Amara players:

  • Amara players will no longer receive Pranas from monsters that are 10 or more levels below the character's level.

  • This rule applies to the entire party if an Amara player is present. The level gap restriction applies even if the Amara character is out of range or dead.

  • Non-Amara players will continue to be subject to the existing 20-level gap penalty.

Feature Changes

• Increased the level of certain monsters in Mudha Dungeon.

  • Some monsters in Sachi 2 have also received stat increases along with their level adjustments.

• Equipment can no longer be equipped if the character does not meet the required level.

  • Characters who previously equipped items above their level will no longer receive the stats or effects from those items.

• Players can no longer whisper themselves.

• Added an error message that will appear after attempting to whisper a character who is offline or does not exist.

• Increased the character purple state (PK first hit) duration from 45 seconds to 3 minutes.

• Further improvements have been made to the anti-cheat system.

Developer Notes: As a side effect, the anti-cheat system may remove players who perform switch-target animation canceling (commonly referred to as “airloot”). While some players consider this an intended mechanic, it is actually a design flaw and development bug. A proper fix will be implemented in a future update.

New Deployable Hotbars

• Added support for additional visible hotbars, with up to 5 deployable hotbars

  • Hotkeys and buttons previously used to switch hotbars are now used to show or hide additional hotbars

  • Supported key combinations include Shift / Ctrl / Alt + Number keys and Function keys

  • Skills and items can still be activated via key combinations even if the hotbar is hidden

  • As a reminder, you can remove skills and item from the hotbar with Ctrl + Click

• You can now place multiple instances of the same skill or consumable across different hotbars

  • Cooldowns are shared between identical skills and items

  • Hotbar modifications are disabled during combat, so be sure to prepare your setup in advance

Mudha Dungeon is now Available!

Highlights

Mudha Dungeon has arrived!

• Entry to Mudha requires Level 90

• The dungeon portal can be found deep within Kaspa Village in Biryu

• Mudha has been added as a teleport destination in the Quality Ziva Pustika

• PvP mode is enabled within Mudha Dungeon. Players may engage in PvP against other God factions by activating the PK toggle button

• Karma is not accumulated upon defeating other players within Mudha Dungeon

• Players may form parties freely inside the Mudha Dungeon, regardless of God faction

• Reinforcement Slip usage is disabled within Mudha Dungeon

• Mudha Dungeon rewards include Level 74 and 80 equipment, with a small chance to obtain Level 88 equipment

• The maximum character level has been increased to 99

• No new quests have been added in this update. Additional quests will be introduced in future patches

• The Baruna Knights event will also be implemented in a future update

• Players will drop Rupiah upon being defeated by another player in Mudha Dungeon.

Kali and the Mudha Dungeon mini bosses will be introduced in the upcoming Kali Patch, along with the set bonuses for Rare Level 88 equipment
