This update fixes: - A bug where the current map played displayed in the pause menu/main menu would be different from the one actually played.

Jump King

This update fixes: - A bug where starting a new custom level without a save will ask you to override the old inexistend save.

Worldsmith

What's new:

• Tilesets! You can now create, modify and publish your tilesets or use already existing ones from the community to easily create screen details!
• Full mod support! You can now use Worldsmith to create, manage and debug your new and old mods with ease!
• Project linking! With this highly requested feature, you can now link a local project (on your computer) to modify and/or update an already existing Steam Workshop item!
• Quality of life improvements! Worldsmith loads projects 70-80% faster compared to the last build, you can now also see Jump King blog updates from inside Worldsmith and the preview screen is now resizable.
• Added the ability to add props, hidden wall props, scrolling images, world items, NPCs, merchants, messages and sounds onto a screen.

This update fixes:

• A bug where a mask would not correctly save.
• A bug where the wardrobe settings would be wiped.
• A bug where props could not be created.
• A bug where skin sets would be missing the base skin.
• A bug where one or more props on a screen would delete itself.

This update fixes:

• A bug where the white raven's position would skip ahead by default. WARNING! Custom maps that depended on skipping the white bird's placement to prevent this bug, will need to fix their white raven's placement by removing those empty slots.
• A bug where mods were not considered when creating the workshop menu.
• A bug where Jump King would uninstall tilesets on start-up.

The documentation has been updated to hold the new Worldsmith changes such as new sections, in-depth how-tos and pages for tilesets and mods. Read the documentation's changelog.

• A bug where playing an official map right after a workshop map would cause the babes to now update their position.

Worldsmith

This update fixes:

• A bug where zoomed displays would create antialiased hitboxes.

For the "Skins" category we had a variety in style. From a Wizard and a Catgirl to a Muscle Man and Trombikus... The Skins winner is: ossanoa's CatGirl Skin

For the "Mods" category we had few but impressive additions in such a short amount of time. A character speed modifier and a new game mode. The Mods winner is: Zebra's King vs Fly

For the "Level" category we had plenty of high quality entries. It was very hard to judge, but judge we did! The Level winner is: SunsetKR's Cybernetic Utopia

What's new:

• Custom blocks can now display a custom color in Level Debug State.

This update fixes:

• A bug that would cause mods to show up as "Unknown level" in the mod list in the Pause Menu.

Worldsmith

Update notes for 26/04/2024 & 05/04/2024

What's new:

• You can now change a thumbnail for an already uploaded item (inside the Workshop pages).
• "Your Workshop Mods" page for changing your mods' details properly!
• Horizontal scrolling can now be triggered by holding Shift + Scroll Up/Down.

This update fixes:

• A bug where creating a prop would crash the application.
• A bug where displaying a prop's texture would crash the application.
• A bug where adding a new music piece would get removed instantly after adding it.
• A bug where NPC and merchants would not get removed properly.
• A bug where rolling back World items would crash the application.
• A bug where the application header would not be accessible for moving the window while in a dialog.
• A bug where mouse scrolling would not be triggered on certain elements.
• Removed "Remove thumbnail" button from Item details for never working properly.

Rules & Guidelines

• General Rules
• Must be a NEW creation for the competition
• Must contain only your own work (No copyrighted assets/material)
• Must have a functional thumbnail (50kb max) and at least (1) Screenshot!
• Must specify it is a in the workshop item description
• Gameplay (mods/maps) without the win condition of reaching the top are allowed

• Guidelines
• Focus on fun and creative challenges not reliant on difficulty
• Avoid things that makes it hard to track Jump King's basic jumping mechanic (such as skins that does not have a charge animation)

• Best Map additional rules
• Must be short (Between 5 and 20 screens)
• Must use at least (1) of the JumpKingPlus blocks from the mod on the workshop
• No use of 1, 2 and 3-frame jumps

How To Participate:

Create your workshop item, upload it to the Jump King Steam Workshop with a working thumbnail (50kb max), 1 Screenshot and "" or any other mention of it being an Event-Submission in your Workshop Item Description.

• A bug where certain menu items would not show up on a mod's menu

Worldsmith

This update fixes:

• A bug where the application would go unresponsive when switching projects
• A bug where the description of an item would truncate or not show correctly on the Item Details page
• The Steam Overlay has been disabled for everyone for it's instability with Worldsmith

This update fixes:

• A bug where the list of mods would ignore local mods
• A bug where the menu for the mods in-game would show up empty
• A bug where only uploaded mods could have their own settings

Jump King

What's new:

• Mods can now have their own menus in-game

This update fixes:

• The hours in the in-game timer now display two zeros instead of one
• A bug where enabling a skin would disable a different skin on a different item

Worldsmith

This update fixes:

• A crash when permanently deleting an item
• A crash when trying to reset a default skin for a set
• A bug where props wouldn't get deleted after clicking 'Delete prop' in the Content Manager page
• A bug where screen prop files would not update correctly
• A bug where locations would not update correctly

Workshop documentation (beta)

The workshop documentation has been updated to host additional modding help regarding mod making on how getting started and setting up a new mod project.

Jump King

What's new:

• The Inventory can now also be found in the Main Menu (under Extras)
• "Publicised" additional private/internal classes for modding simplification

This update fixes:

• A bug where equipping sets would unequip certain items

Worldsmith

This update fixes:

• A bug where previews in the Wardrobe page would scale up overlapping other frames
• A bug where Worldsmith would become obfuscated after clicking "Test in-game"
• A bug where an item couldn't remove tags once on the Workshop
• Removed the debug list present on the Workshop pages

Worldsmith (legacy)

This update fixes:

• A bug where changing folder when updating an item didn't change its actual folder
• Removed unwanted "Block" tag from uploading a Mod

Workshop documentation (beta)

The Workshop documentation has been updated to host additional modding help.

This update fixes:

• A bug where the precise timer was wrongly formatted on milliseconds
• A bug where the game would crash when trying to play offline
• A bug appearing when opening the game that would cause the current custom level to be called "Unknown level"

This update fixes:

• A bug where Steam Deck and Linux users wouldn't be able to play any level

Workshop Update

You can now access a plethora of skins and levels on Steam Workshop! Accessing mods to the game has been made easier than ever. Not only is the mods easy for the user, but also the creator! For more in depth information on how modding Jump King has been made easier READ HERE

Jump King Workshop

You will now find the workshop tab under the Jump King game. It features our own tags to sort content which is mainly 3 categories: - Levels - Skins - Mods (Gameplay/UI/etc altering types of mods) Subscribing to content can be done both in the Steam Application itself as well as through the In-Game menu in Jump King. You can keep your game open as you download new workshop content and simply load the update by clicking ESC (to refresh) within the main menu.

Worldsmith

It is a brand new tool we are working on to make modding Jump King as easy as possible. Right now it features preview-screens of the skin/level project you are working on as well as live-updates of your hitboxes even while testing it in-game! Check it out and see what you can make with it! By the way! We also introduced a new Korean localisation! For direct community engagement, join our DISCORD IMPORTANT: - OLD MODS may not be compatible with the game anymore. Though they may come to the workshop in the future (if the creator wishes to adapt it/convert it) - TO PLAY AN OLDER VERSION OF THE GAME: Go to Library->Jump King->Right Click Properties->Betas and opt into the "jump_king_legacy" branch. - Jump King Plus is NOT compatible with the new build - If your custom map does not work, try reinstalling it or restarting the game, alternatively check if you have subscribed to JumpKingPlus Blocks on the workshop (if a mechanic is not working) - If you have feedback and/or bug reports feel please fill in this Feedback Form!
