About the Route

The section of the Tōkaidō Line operated by JR EAST connects three prefectures: Shizuoka, Kanagawa, and Tokyo. By operating through services via the Utsunomiya Line and Takasaki Line through Tōkyō Station as the Ueno-Tōkyō Line, it forms an extensive through-service network.

To date, various train models have operated on this line, including the 113 Series, the 211 Series, the 215 Series, and the 185 Series on the “Odoriko” Limited Express, as well as the 251 Series on the “Super View Odoriko” Limited Express. Currently, the E231 series, the E233 series, the E257 series used on the “Odoriko” and “Shōnan” limited express trains, and the E261 series used on the “Saphir Odoriko” are in service.

Passing through the renowned hot spring resorts of Atami and Yugawara, the train offers beautiful coastal views along the Nebukawa and Hayakawa rivers and takes passengers through the historic castle town of Odawara, with the majestic Mount Fuji visible in the distance. You can enjoy the sophisticated harbor town scenery of Yokohama and the vibrant urban atmosphere of Kawasaki, and once you cross the Tama River, you’ll be overwhelmed by the grandeur of Tokyo’s metropolis. This line is popular with many passengers not only for commuting to work and school but also for sightseeing and business travel.

Once you pass through the Izumigoshi Tunnel, you cross the prefectural border and are greeted by a breathtaking view of Sagami Bay. The route is dotted with numerous iconic photo spots, such as unstaffed stations overlooking the sea and bridges spanning high ground. Along the way, you’ll also pass a station known as the “birthplace of the Shinkansen.” Furthermore, after passing through towns representative of the Shonan region, you’ll encounter one section after another where the line runs parallel to the diverse network of railways unique to the Tokyo metropolitan area. Toward the end of the journey, the train races uphill toward a massive terminal bustling with countless trains, allowing you to fully savor the unique thrills of a suburban commuter line. This route is packed with the sea, mountains, towns, and the history and highlights of railways.

About the Route

Seibu Ikebukuro Line is a major route operated by SEIBU RAILWAY, connecting Ikebukuro Station in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, to Agano Station in Hannō City, Saitama Prefecture, over a distance of 57.8 km.

The scenery along the line shifts from urban areas to the suburbs and then to mountainous regions. While serving as a vital route for commuters and students, it also handles tourism and leisure travel. Some sections are elevated and feature four tracks, enabling smooth intercity transportation. Furthermore, west of Tokorozawa, lush green scenery unfolds, dotted with numerous leisure spots.

Via Nerima Station, the line operates through-service with Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line and Yurakuchō Lines, Tokyu Tōyoko Line, and Minatomirai Line, allowing direct access to Shibuya and Yokohama without transfers. The limited express “Laview” and the reserved-seat “S-TRAIN” also operate, providing a comfortable means of transportation for both commuting and sightseeing.

The line features a diverse timetable and a wide variety of train types, including express and commuter services. Another attraction is the opportunity to see a wide variety of rolling stock thanks to the through-service operations.

It operates through-service with Tokyo Metro Yurakuchō Line and Fukutoshin Line, and also runs to Tokyu Tōyoko Line and Minatomirai Line. Additionally, it is compatible with reserved-seat trains such as the “S-TRAIN” and the “Haijima Liner.” Designed with the concept of a “people-friendly train that moves forward with everyone,” the interior features a “Partner Zone” and luggage spaces designed with wheelchair and stroller users, as well as passengers carrying large luggage, in mind. While primarily equipped with bench seating, some cars feature seats that can be used in both bench and cross configurations, making them suitable for a wide range of uses, from commuting to leisure travel. Furthermore, in addition to automated announcements and destination displays, depending on the train set, it is equipped with amenities such as onboard Wi-Fi and power outlets. It is actively in service on various lines, primarily Ikebukuro Line system.

• Fix a bug causing the app to crash under certain conditions

  We have fixed a bug that caused the app to crash during the loading screen at the start of a run in certain environments.And we have fixed a bug in the Senzan Line DLC that caused the app to crash depending on the audio settings.

【E233 Series】

• Fixed an issue where the “Chokutsū Yobi” light would not turn on

  This fix addresses an issue where the “Chokutsū Yobi” indicator does not illuminate while Emergency Straight Air Brake is engaged.

【Other】

• Fixed a partial audio issue when using ZuiKimascon PRO

　　　This update fixed an issue where the reverser sound was not played correctly when using

ZuiKimascon PRO.

Regarding the issue that began around Saturday, April 18, preventing players from playing “JR EAST Train Simulator” via GeForce NOW, service has been restored as of the morning of Wednesday, April 22, with the exception of a few remaining issues.

However, we have confirmed the following issues are still present, so we will continue to work with NVIDIA to investigate and achieve a full restoration.

・The Oito Line DLC is not applied (resulting in only the base pack part being playable)

・An update queue appears every time the game is launched via GeForce NOW

Primarily due to the replacement of aging rolling stock and the introduction of E233 Series, these trains were deployed across various commuter lines within a short period. This DLC features footage of that Keyo 34 set recorded at the JR EAST Keiyo Rolling Stock Center.
