Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Hey chefs! We’re back with a quick follow-up patch to address some weird physics, add highly requested control shortcuts, and introduce some fresh rewards. Here is what’s new in Hobarey Town based on our latest tracker updates.
We thrilled to share our new soundtrack, jump in the game and listen the new beats! Get ready to lose yourself in the vibe, hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
New Achievements: Fresh achievements have been added to the game. Time to hunt them down and fully flex about your Steam profile.
Smooth Pizza Boxing: You can now right-click a full pizza box directly from your inventory or while it's resting on the ground to quickly pull the pizza out. No more awkward unpacking loops.
Hold to Place Ingredients: Your fingers can finally rest. You can now simply hold down the button to continuously place pizza ingredients instead of spam-clicking.
Dialogue Hotkeys: Speed through conversations! You can now use the \ and \ keys on your keyboard to instantly select your dialogue choices.
Calmed the Oven: The Automated Pizza Oven had a bit too much caffeine and was shaking violently for some players. We've anchored it down, and it now behaves like a normal piece of machinery.
NPC Hitbox Downsize: Hired NPCs had accidentally massive hitboxes that made them constantly block pathways or get in your way. Their physical bounds have been trimmed down to normal human standards.
Skateboard Save Fix: Fixed an issue where the Skateboard would completely break and refuse to let you ride it after reloading a save file. You can now skate across sessions uninterrupted.
Tree Icon Correction: Fixed a visual bug where the wrong icon was being displayed for the Automated Pizza Oven inside the upgrade tree.
Keep those ovens running, and don't forget to check out the new tracks! And drop comments, we read em all.
Peace,
Bunch'o'Nerds Team
The wait is over! We are incredibly excited to bring you one of our most highly requested updates yet. This major patch shifts the focus toward full Kitchen Automation and heavily upgrades the solo experience to active YOLO mode!
If you've been wanting to run your pizzeria like a true boss (or just need some extra hands), this one's for you. Here is the full breakdown of what’s cooking:
Staff Recruitment (Cashier NPCs): You can now hire up to 2 Cashier NPCs! They will automatically navigate the shop, take customer orders, open doors, head to bed at the end of their shifts, and collect daily wages. You can approach them to pause or resume their duties, and check their accumulated tips directly on the Order Screen.
Automatic Pizza Oven (Passive Income): A brand-new upgrade. This automated oven acts as a passive income stream by attracting its own unique NPCs.
Vending Machines (Passive Income): Four permanently active vending machines have been placed across the map. Unlock them via the delivery chain skill tree nodes to open a new "Vending" tab on your Order Screen. They generate daily passive income and change visually based on their current stock levels. Cold hard cash will help to boost your eco.
Rideable Skateboard: A handheld, rideable skateboard is now available! Jump to enjoy a dedicated drifting movement mode, deliver quests fast af.
Solo Game Pausing: True single-player pausing is finally here! Opening the ESC menu or pressing the rebindable \ key will completely freeze the game and stop the entire simulation.
ESC Menu "Invite Friends" Panel: You can now view your Steam friends list directly from the in-game ESC menu and send individual lobby invites on the fly.
Dark Web Overhaul: We've added a highly visible roulette wheel when paying for contraband delivery probabilities on the Dark Web. We hope you'll find the new look and feeling way clear and fun.
Backroom Customization (ShadowDecor): A standalone tab on the Dark Web dedicated exclusively to your backroom. Customize your walls, floors, and rugs. Unlocks with BTC and scales with your Shady Level.
Mixed Pizza Orders: Customers are stepping up their demands. Incoming patrons can now order a mix of different pizza types within a single ticket.
Dual-Mode "Continue" Support: The "Continue" button on the main menu now perfectly remembers and launches the exact mode (Solo or Multiplayer) you were last playing.
Machine Logistics: You can now order a new machine even if one of the same type is already en route the "one pending order per machine type" restriction has been removed. Machine cards on the screen are now sorted chronologically by unlock order.
Dynamic Open-World Quests: Open-world NPC delivery quests will now exclusively request pizza recipes you have actually unlocked, completely eliminating impossible quests. Dialogue lines have been generalized to fit these dynamic orders.
Multiplayer Invite Clarity: When a client tries to join a host who is currently running a single-player session, they will now be greeted with a clear "Host is in Single-Player Mode" status message.
Shady Reputation Buff: Increased the Shady Experience/Reputation reward point yield from 8 to 12.
Visuals & Audio: Refreshed environmental foliage and vegetation. Added missing Incinerator sound effects and overall sound design polish.
Shady Level Alerts: Added clear pop-up notifications to let you know exactly when new backroom customizations or open-world quests unlock after leveling up.
Multiplayer Desync: Fixed a permanent synchronization bug for late-joining players caused by the Steam reliable send buffer overflowing.
Performance Optimization: World items that clipped and fell beneath the floor geometry are now automatically wiped on load, successfully fixing sudden client-side FPS drops.
Photo Mode Save: Fixed an issue where taken photos appeared blank or completely white after saving the game we call it hardened JPEG persistence (Because it's cooler).
Cam-Stuck Ingredients: Fixed an issue where pizza cheese would permanently glue itself to the player's camera view after loading a save.
Boxed Pizza Inventory: Fixed a bug where ingredients would vanish from a pizza box if the player cycled away from the inventory slot and back.
Margherita Balance: Capped the maximum amount of basil allowed by the recipe; cooked Margheritas can no longer be overstuffed.
Tutorial Freezer Lock: Fixed a progression bug where players who sold their freezer during the tutorial phase were completely blocked from buying it back later.
Map Tracking: Purged old, residual quest markers from the map layout that fell out of sync with active quest logs.
Dark Web Interactivity: Fixed search bar focus locking. Additionally, the SkillForge tree will now instantly update your UI immediately following a node purchase.
ESC Menu Timestamp: Fixed a bug where the "Last Save" time indicator always displayed incorrectly due to local timezone calculation errors.
Basketball Physics: Baseballs and basketballs that spawn dynamically during runtime are now correctly registered and saved into the Unity Cloth physics component. With this patch, we're bringing you a ton of major technical and gameplay upgrades that we think you're gonna love.
Up next, we've got a busy summer lined up for you! We’re already working on brand-new missions, fresh mechanics to spice up the shady side of things, plenty of open-world surprises, intense timed challenges, and a few top-secret ideas we’re keeping under wraps for now so we don't spoil the hype. All of these updates will pave the way toward our 1.0 release, pushing the story to its absolute peak and taking us one step closer to the grand finale.
Now, go ahead and knock out those new quests and please, stop punching the poor beggar. We count the all punches in logs. Seriously.
Peace,
Bunch'o'Nerds Team
Hello pizza nerds or wheeler dealers! We’ve been working behind the scenes on a massive overhaul to streamline your kitchen logistics, expand your business tools, and squash some of the most stubborn bugs in the system.
Here is everything new in this major Quality of Life update:
Pizza Rack Targeting: You can now place pizzas into the specific slot you are aiming at. Holding a pizza near a rack will show a ghost preview of the targeted slot. Racks also display a content label: "Empty", the specific Recipe Name (if all pizzas match), or "Mixed" (for Lv.2/Lv.3 racks).
Beggar NPC Interaction: Pressing \ now opens a quick "Give $1 / No" prompt. Donating money causes the beggar to walk away and shifts your reputation toward the legitimate (Front) side. (Punching them remains a viable option, of course).
Cash Register: You can now press \ to confirm payments alongside the traditional \ key.
Shakedown Tweaks: The Hitman and shakedown police will now only knock you down and remove you from the area, they will no longer take your cash.
Quest XP: Open-world NPC deliveries now grant shady XP on top of BTC rewards, matching the counter-side shady quest progression.
Back-Area Lighting: Boosted the ambient brightness in the back areas of the shop so dim corners are properly visible. Light switches now glow faintly in the dark so you can always spot them.
Cargo Box Shelf (3 Tiers): Store your cargo boxes neatly in dedicated slots instead of dropping them randomly all over the floor. Aim at the specific slot you want to fill, no more priority for the first clicker.
Lv.1: 12 slots | Lv.2: 16 slots | Lv.3: 24 slots.
Conveyor Oven (Lv. 3): A two-tier auto-cooking masterpiece. Just drop the pizza on a plate and walk away, it rides the conveyor to a perfect bake. No handles to grab, no burn risks.
Combo Press & Sauce Machine: Efficiency at its finest. This machine turns raw dough into perfectly sauced dough in a single step, skipping the tedious press-carry-sauce shuffle entirely.
Large Ingredient Container (Lv. 2): Features a massive 250-unit capacity. Refill far less often once your kitchen scales up.
Wall Switch (Switch Arm): A physical lever on your wall to disable the online courier or the Redline (shady) phone whenever things get too overwhelming. Pull the lever to literally "cut the power" to that feature.
Pizza recipes, machines, and shop expansions no longer auto-unlock upon leveling up. They are now purchased from a real, progression-based upgrade tree.
Front-side upgrades live under the Upgrades tab on the Kitchen Order Screen.
Shady upgrades live in the SkillForge on the Dark Web. Prerequisites must be owned before unlocking the next node.
Save Migration: Existing saves are automatically migrated! Every pizza recipe or machine you earned under the old rules will be unlocked for free upon loading.
Press \ anywhere in the world to open a full recipe book overlay. No more walking back to the kitchen computer mid-cook. Locked recipes are greyed out so you can plan ahead.
Added a subtle \ Recipes reminder hint to the bottom-right HUD.
Pressing \ now opens a completely redesigned map featuring a side panel that lists every quest NPC, cleanly filtered by Active / Available / Locked.
Toggle View: The map is now a toggle (press to open, press again to close) instead of hold-to-open.
NPC pins now dynamically dodge place labels and connect to their true location with a dashed line when they shift positions.
The map is automatically suppressed in the lobby, main menu, and during scene transitions to keep things clean.
New ShadowKitchen Tab: Shady ingredients unlocked through SkillForge are now purchased directly here. The ShadowMarket has returned to being exclusively for contraband.
New MinerHub Tab: All BTC miner purchases and capacity expansions have been moved to their own dedicated tab. Paying off your full debt now unlocks unlimited miner capacity.
The placeholder ShadowMail tab has been removed.
Smart Search: The search bar now matches the exact brand names NPCs use on the phone (e.g., "Wire Recorder 3000", "Rocket Fuel Coffee") rather than just the canonical item names.
The Washing Machine and Incinerator no longer need to be fetched from Hobarey Depot as heavy cargo. They now live in built-in back-room closets. As you purchase their SkillForge upgrades, the closet contents will automatically swap from Lv.1 ➔ Lv.2 ➔ Lv.3.
Added a new HUD Scale dropdown menu in the Settings (ranging from 90% to 150%) so you can pick the perfect fit for your screen resolution.
The Perfect Bake: The oven's "perfect" timing window is now fixed at exactly 6 seconds. The visual indicator and actual pizza quality now match perfectly if a pizza looks burnt, it really is burnt.
Bitcoin Miner Exploit: Bitcoin Miners can no longer be sold, successfully closing the buy-at-cap-then-refund exploit loop.
We pulled these elements deliberately as their gameplay upside was minimal and they were causing unnecessary friction:
Forgery Station: Temporarily disabled.
Pizza Rack Lv.1 & Dough Press Machine Lv.2: Removed from the store catalogue (any already-placed ones in your shop will keep working normally).
Crouch Bind: Removed from the bindable keys list as it had no active gameplay function.
Fixed over 110 entries! Restored missing Polish diacritics (ą, ę, ł, ż, ź, ć, ś, ó, ń) and added full Polish translations for the Map/Quest hub, tier-II upgrades, quest objective templates, Redline phone dialogues, beggar interactions, and recipe book flavor text.
Save Pipeline Hardened: Fixed crashes when starting a new game on an empty slot, partial "looks-empty-but-actually-broken" saves, OneDrive/antivirus disk locks, and concurrent save collisions. Failures will now trigger on-screen warnings and log to a dedicated save folder. Broken partial saves are automatically cleaned up at launch.
Save Snapshot Timeout: Raised from 2 seconds to 5 seconds, ensuring slow remote clients no longer lose their inventory states during a save event.
Late-Joiner Sync: Fixed host/client synchronization issues for the oven, press, and sauce machine handles (they will no longer render in the wrong positions for joining players).
AI & Exploits: * Customers forced to leave at closing time will no longer drift away into the abyss with cash or credit cards floating in front of them.
Empty cargo boxes on a relocated Cargo Shelf will no longer visually reappear as full.
Cargo Shelves will now properly reject empty cargo boxes (no outlines, prompts, or ghost previews).
Visual Tweaks: The active map pin is now a clean, centered green dot instead of the old off-center arrow icon.
Colliders: Enlarged the Level 2 Oven handle collider, making it significantly easier to grab mid-rush.
Input System: Moved the Red line Phone ESC key handling over to the modern Input System to prevent interface lockups.
UI Clean-up: The Kitchen Order Screen's Machines and Upgrades tabs now share identical naming structures, ordering, and subtabs. Open-world quests will no longer double-display in both Active and Available lists.
Menu Stacking: The Recipe Book and Map can no longer be opened simultaneously; opening one will automatically close the other. The Recipe Book background now matches the order screen's cream aesthetic.
Deep Linking: MinerHub's "Unlock in SkillForge" buttons now link directly to the correct node on the upgrade tree. While pushing out these fixes, we’ve already kicked off development on our next major patch. We are cooking up some yummy features that will get single-player enthusiasts hyped and completely charm fans of classic simulation games too!
As we build out this upcoming major content step by step, we’re continuing to closely track community feedback, read through every support ticket, and work full throttle on updates and hotfixes. Remember to join our Discord for more information, chat with us or share your weird moments. Just make sure your pizzas don't burn we’ve got the rest covered! :)

We’ve been deep in the trenches fixing some of the more... creative ways you’ve been breaking the game. From gravity-defying pizzas to inter-dimensional item theft, here’s what’s changed:
Quick Delivery: Added a new Delivery Window for fast access to the courier.
Movement Polish: Removed collisions from handheld items. You should no longer get stuck on the environment while carrying objects.
Lobby Security: Strengthened lobby protection to prevent unauthorized players from joining your sessions.
The "Accidental Thief" Glitch: Fixed a major bug where pressing 'B' (Build Mode) as a host would "steal" whatever item your friend was currently holding, even if they were in a completely different room.
Miner Duplication & Phantoms: Resolved a complex issue involving Bitcoin Miners on the roof where players could end up with "phantom" miners or duplicated items in their hotbar.
Inventory Desync: Fixed instances where two players building/replacing items simultaneously would lock the non-host's inventory.
Photo Mode Sync: Taking a photo as a client will no longer cause the host's screen to get stuck in photo mode.
Achievements: Fixed a bug where non-host players weren't receiving the achievement for beating the game.
Camera: Patched a glitch where spamming the camera allowed players to clip through walls, enter locked buildings, or climb out of the map. No more noclip photography!
Photography: Fixed an issue where players could still enter "Photo Mode" and take pictures even after dropping their camera.
Hitboxes: Adjusted the Enforcer NPC's hitboxes. They can no longer punch you from superhuman distances.
Pizzas: Fixed several issues where pizzas and boxes would float into the air, lose gravity, or allow players to "double-sell" empty boxes.
Mechanics: Updated the robbery logic; keeping the "Shady Window" open while you sleep can now trigger a robbery regardless of whether the front shop is open.
Optimization: Fixed significant FPS drops caused by high numbers of Pizza Racks. We’ve adjusted shadow rendering for pizza ingredients to keep your GPU from sweating.
Input Lag: Addressed reports of input lag during low FPS situations, especially when moving the camera rapidly.
Infinite Scrolling: Fixed a frustrating bug where menus would scroll infinitely (even with controllers unplugged).
Debt UI Correction: Fixed the text in the Debt Collector menu. It will now correctly state "Final Installment" instead of "First Installment" when you are about to clear your debt.
Debt Progression: Resolved a bug where players were getting stuck on the 6th installment with the 7th failing to trigger.
Police Chase: Fixed an animation bug where the policewoman would stand still while her "running" animation played if you entered the pizzeria.
Double Trouble: Fixed a rare bug where starting a new game could result in two "Source Machines" being spawned.
Peace, Bunch'o'Nerds Team
Hey folks! Usually these community posts come from the rest of the team, but this one's me. The "works on my machine" developer (the guy who actually writes the code) hopping into the announcements channel. So expect things to get a little more technical than usual. Bear with me, I'll try not to go full changelog-brain on you.
We did a pretty massive refactor of how every pickup-able item in the game works. All holdables (pizzas, ingredients, cargo boxes, cameras, weapons, contraband, instruments; basically anything you can grab) now run through a single, shared system. Sounds boring, but it means fewer weird bugs, less duplicated code, and way easier patches from here on out. A lot of small gremlins got quietly squashed in the process. Because this was such a big change under the hood, please keep those bug reports coming. If something slipped past us or a new issue popped up, let us know and we'll jump on it. Sorry in advance for anything we missed!
Your co-op partners' outfit and position now save properly. Reconnecting players show up right where they left off instead of respawning across the map.
Contraband items should stop falling through the floor or going invisible for anyone who isn't the host, and clients can actually pick them up with E now, instead of the prompt just not responding.
Late-joiners now see the correct state on machine handles instead of random positions.
Redline Phone: fixed the bug where you'd answer the call, get offered a quest, and then not be able to click Accept or Decline at all. Buttons actually work now.
Oven Level 2 can be exited with ESC like every other machine (sorry about that).
Dark Web browser doesn't yeet you out of the computer anymore when you type a word containing the letter "E".
Wall-mounted and floor decorations no longer get yanked around when you pick up a nearby counter.
Fixed the camera going absolutely feral (flying off into the void, weird snaps, general chaos) when pressing E on a machine that had another machine placed right behind it.
Fixed broken characters (the weird uXXXX gibberish) showing up in German and Polish text — special characters now render correctly.
Client inventories aren't saving properly right now. We know it's a pretty big deal and we're actively working on a fix, sorry about that, thanks for bearing with us.
Thanks for your patience!
Freezer Upgrades: Two new Freezer levels have been added to the game!
Level 2 — Allows you to store up to 50 dough.
Level 3 — Allows you to store up to 100 dough.
Freezer: Fixed an issue blocking access to the Freezer for some players.
Shady Truck (Multiplayer): Client players can now properly interact with items delivered by the Shady Truck.
Pizza Disappearing: Fixed multiple cases where pizzas would vanish from racks when saving, loading, or switching between host and client sessions.
Rack Sync: Pizza racks now correctly update for all players when someone joins or reconnects.
Selling Issues: Resolved a bug where pizzas would get stuck floating in the air instead of being sold properly during multiplayer sessions.
Topping Station: Fixed the Topping Station becoming unusable after the host saves and exits.
Item Loss: Items in your inventory are no longer lost when saving and quitting. Cameras, HDDs, and other quest items are now preserved correctly. This fix for host only, we're working on client side as well.
Open World Missions: Fixed several mission tasks not tracking correctly for client players, including photo, skateboard, and pizza delivery objectives.
Item Boxes: Boxes placed by clients no longer disappear when they leave the session.
Inventory Display: Fixed item icons reverting to old appearances when scrolling through the inventory.
Item Interactions: Resolved an issue where some inventory items became unresponsive. Flashlight, camera zoom, and similar interactions are now working as intended.
And if you like the game, make sure to drop a review on Steam.

Peace, Bunch'o'Nerds TeamAnti-Softlock Measures:
Fixed a soft-lock occurring when getting punched while interacting with Bribe/Extortion NPCs.
Inventory
Resolved an issue where rapidly switching items caused objects to scale up indefinitely.
Lobby & Security: Lobbies are now set to Private by default in the Host menu.
Added Lobby Protection to prevent unauthorized joins. Please report any further instances of uninvited players joining your sessions.
Added a "1 Player" option to the Max Players dropdown in lobby settings.
Shady Point Balancing: To prevent easy farming, punching the same NPC will now only grant Shady Points for the first hit each day.
Incinerator Mechanic: The pop-up notification for unlocking the Incinerator on the Dark Web is now global. All players will be notified, so the whole crew learns the mechanic at once.
Online Orders: Fixed a bug where orders would still arrive even when the Pizza Store was closed.
Hank’s Quest: Fixed an issue where assets were missing upon accepting the quest.
Map Fixes: Added a missing ceiling collider to the Redline Phone room and fixed an exploit in The Hobarey Depot where the Level 2 Washing Machine could be purchased through the wall without the upgrade. You guys so naughty when it comes to exploits!
Accessibility: Added a Subtitle Size setting for players using large screens (TVs) to ensure readability from a distance. We're also working on a 'Black Bars' option for the competitive Counter-Strike players, coming in a patch around February 2041.
Skillforge Guidance: Improved the description pop-ups for upgrades to better explain their functions.
Audio Logic: Overhauled the debt-related audio logs. Much like the tutorial, playing a new log will now automatically stop the previous one to prevent audio overlapping during bulk payments.
New Sound Effects (SFX) added and polished. We fixed over 35 bugs, errors, missing texts, and save issues last week. You can check the full details on our posts page or jump into our Discord to report any problems you encountered during your visit to Hobarey Town.
Peace, Bunch'o'Nerds Team
Steam Cloud Save: Integrated! Your progress is now synced across devices.
Endgame Content Added: The story reaches its conclusion. The final chapter is now playable. But there is not a single ending...
Save System Stability: Fixed issues where saving via the bed wouldn't function correctly.
Added extra security layers to prevent BTC loss after loading a save.
Fixed a bug where cameras would disappear from the inventory upon loading.
Bitcoin Mining Nerf: Hourly rates have been adjusted for long-term balance:
Lvl 1: Reduced from ~0.21 BTC/hr to ~0.104 BTC/hr.
Lvl 2: Reduced from ~0.63 BTC/hr to ~0.417 BTC/hr.
The Famous Guy Encounter:
Footstep volume reduced by 50%.
Camera shake effect reduced by 30%.
If he is rejected, he will no longer return.
Fixed a dialogue softlock if you get punched while talking to him.
Ingredient Sync: Fixed an issue where pizza ingredients would vanish for the Client when a Pizza Rack was moved.
Physics Fix: Fixed "floating cheese" bugs when moving racks with uncooked pizzas.
Ingredient Handling (QoL): We heard you, odd numbers like the 13 pepperoni slices were a pain. We’ve overhauled ingredient counts (especially those olives!) to make prep work much more satisfying and less tedious.
Debt UI: Fixed a bug where the debt UI remained visible after loading, even if the debt was fully paid.
Achievement Fix: Improved the detection for the "Halfway There" debt achievement to ensure it triggers correctly for Clients.
Peace, Bunch'o'Nerds Team
We're continuing to polish the experience based on your reports. Here’s what’s new:
Sync Issues: Fixed a bug where preplaced objects wouldn't sync between Host and Client when replaced or sold.
Player Count: Official support for 8-player sessions has been removed to ensure better stability and performance.
Dev Logs: Added comprehensive logging for Steamworks UDP and Relay systems to better diagnose connection issues.
Online Orders: Fixed a bug where the wrong pizza could be delivered.
Economy: Online order prices were too low; we’ve doubled the payouts to make them more rewarding.
Tutorial Fix: Adjusted the GPS Tracker timing in the tutorial to prevent "hardstuck" situations caused by long wait times.
Dark Web: Fixed a listing error where the Heroin Block was missing from Dark Web Level 3.
FOV Slider: Added a Field of View (FOV) setting to the options menu. We heard your feedback regarding motion sickness, and this should provide a much more comfortable experience.
Camera Mode: Added clearer on-screen instructions for the Camera Mode to better explain how photo detection works.
Visual Polish: Fixed a centering issue for pizzas on the bottom racks of the Large Pizza Rack.
Peace, Bunch'o'Nerds Team
Fixed cocaine bricks not arriving after ordering from the dark web.
Fixed Burner Phone and Voice Recorder not being placeable in the Incinerator.
Fixed decoration achievement not unlocking.
We’ve been listening to your feedback! Here are the fixes and improvements included in this update:
Skillforge: Updated button text from "BUY" to "UNLOCK" for better clarity.
Build Mode: Fixed an issue where UI instructions in the bottom-left corner were overlapping.
Pop-Up Guidance: Enhanced pop-up instructions to be more informative and clear.
Forgery Station: Improved the feedback system to better explain the station's operational status.
Localization: Fixed the text for the first unlockable Achievement and localized missing Caseoh dialogues.
Transaction Logic: Fixed a bug where players couldn't give change when their balance was negative.
Network Stability: Resolved an issue where players with unstable connections would get stuck in the wrong state after exiting machines.
Physics & Spawning: Fixed a bug where players in ragdoll mode would spawn under the map if a game started via a friend's interaction at the Bar.
Tutorial: Fixed the GPS tracker delivery bug during the tutorial phase.
Quests: Resolved delivery issues regarding Dr. Natalie Brooks' orders.
Night Creatures: Adjusted the photography hitbox; you no longer need to see their feet to successfully snap a photo. Yet feet pics still allowed if you are really interested. So we're working tirelessly to fix issues, and balancing the game. Updates, patches will be keep coming. Stay shady. Watch your back.
Today is the first April 1st where we aren’t joking, I Know a Guy is officially out now!
The Early Access version offers a completely revamped experience for those who tried our demo. A fully overhauled tutorial system, plenty of new missions, brand-new Shady Items, and a world full of fresh stories and mechanics await you.
But honestly, this is just the beginning... We're going off the rails.
From day one, we’ll be closely following your feedback to address any issues as quickly as possible. Since this is our first game, we have full confidence in our ability to make mistakes! :D However, we are committed to perfecting the game's balance, UI, and Quality of Life (QoL) improvements based on your input.
Our first-month patch will focus on fixing potential bugs and introducing new items we’ve been itching to add.
We believe the open world will be one of the most exciting aspects of I Know a Guy within the simulation genre. The Q2 Major Update will focus on:
A deepening storyline and more interactive NPCs. Also, more doosie ones...
New missions scattered across the map and mechanics.
Timed Challenge Mode: A high-intensity mode to keep you on your toes and make your shop more dynamic than ever.
Pizza Automation Helpers: For those who just want to sit back and have a more "chill" experience.
Pet Companions: The "where have you been all my life?" addition that will bring a new sense of life to the game.
By the second half of the year, we’ll be diving deeper into the "dirty work" that makes this sim so thrilling and think Mafia encounters and escalating stakes with NPCs. We also have some "crazy" ideas for a new way to play; we’ll announce our top concepts and let the community vote on their favorite!
The full release will feature the climax of the story, unexpected decisions, new shops, and an Endless Mode Challenge to keep the hustle going long after the credits roll.
There’s no limit to what we want to achieve. With your support, we hope to check off every item on this list and ensure that everyone "knows a guy."
Until next time. (They shouldn't know we've met.) The Bunch'o'Nerds Team
We just passed 30,000 wishlists on I Know a Guy. For a small team of four, that number means a lot.
And now we’re very close. I Know a Guy launches on April 1st.
To celebrate the launch, we wanted to give something back.
We’re giving away copies of the game through our Discord, so if you want a chance to grab one, you can join us there:
Thanks for all the support so far.
April 1st is very close. 🍕
If you’re seeing the game for the first time, here’s the idea in one line: You run a pizza shop up front, and handle shady business in the back, trying to balance both without everything collapsing.
Balance Mechanic
Front pizza shop and shady backroom are fully interconnected. Neglect the front and your cover weakens, drawing police attention. Neglect the back and the mafia you owe will step in. The system remains dynamic and requires continuous balance.
Police Raids & Arrests Failure on the front side increases police pressure. Bribes can delay escalation, but repeated failure leads to raids. If caught, the game continues from the police station with a financial penalty.
Mafia Pressure & Consequences Failure on the shady side triggers mafia intervention. Payments can buy time, but pushing too far leads to direct consequences. In severe cases, you restart from the hospital and lose all carried items.
40+ New Dark Web Items & Missions New items, requests, and character-driven tasks. Transactions now include risk factors and uncertain outcomes.
11+ New Pizza Types Expanded menu with additional recipes. Progression unlocks new pizzas, increasing operational depth and income potential.
Open World (Hobarey Town) A more populated and active town. NPCs offer tasks, dialogue, and branching interactions, some with moral consequences.
Forgery & Repacking Station Produce fake documents or repackage items for discreet delivery. Mistakes reduce shady reputation.
Online Orders Receive digital pizza orders. Deliver via hired couriers or handle them manually across the map.
Progression & Expansion Systems Leveling, shop upgrades, customization, hacking risks, investment options, and access to Hardware and Clothing stores.
We’ve just passed 25,000 wishlists for I Know a Guy - and that’s an incredible milestone.
Thank you for the support. We can’t wait to finally put the full experience in your hands and show you everything we’ve been working on.
As previously announced, I Know a Guy will launch in Early Access on April 1st, 2026.
• İstanbul (GMT+3): 8:00 PM
• Los Angeles (PDT): 10:00 AM
• New York (EDT): 1:00 PM
• London (BST): 6:00 PM
• Berlin (CEST): 7:00 PM
• Moscow (MSK): 8:00 PM
• Tokyo (JST): 2:00 AM (April 2)
We’re launching in Early Access because we want to build the game together with you. Your feedback, ideas, and support will directly shape how I Know a Guy evolves after release.
We’ll also be sharing our roadmap on launch day, outlining what’s coming next during Early Access.
Base Price: $12.99
This is the global base price. Steam applies regional pricing, so the final price may be lower or higher depending on your country. You’ll be able to see the exact price for your region directly on the Steam page at release.
Launch Discount: 10%
To help more players jump in on day one, the game will launch with a 10% discount.
The list below covers some of the major systems and content added for Early Access.
It is not exhaustive, and we’re intentionally leaving parts out to avoid spoilers. The full experience is meant to be discovered through gameplay.

Perfect news! I Know a Guy finally has a release date!
We can’t wait for you to explore the full version of I Know a Guy, and hope the excitement matches ours.
We’ll also be sharing a detailed update in the coming days about the new mechanics and features that will be included in the full version of I Know a Guy.
We’re excited to announce that I Know a Guy will launch with a base price of $12.99.
This is the global base price. Depending on your region, the final price may be slightly lower or higher, as Steam applies regional pricing adjustments based on its localization pricing guidelines.
On release day, you’ll be able to check the exact price for your country directly on the Steam store page.
To celebrate the release, Outbound will launch with a 10% discount off its base price.
The free I Know a Guy demo will be available until March 20, so make sure to try it before we take it down. It gives you a good look at the core gameplay loop and what the full game experience is like.
If you’ve already played the demo and enjoyed it, please consider leaving a Steam Review. Reviews help the game reach more players through the Steam algorithm.
We’ve just released a new update.
The network system has been renewed.
If you encounter issues like getting stuck on a black screen, the game will now provide you with a problem code. This means:
You’ll be able to understand what went wrong
Or share the exact error code with us on Discord
No more guessing. We’ll have something concrete to work with.
The game went through a serious optimization sweep across all systems.
You should see performance improvements up to 100 FPS depending on your setup.
If things used to struggle, this update should feel noticeably smoother.
We’ve expanded the graphics options so you can better tune performance:
Shadow Quality
Anti-Aliasing
FPS Cap
V-Sync
You can now adjust these settings to better support lower-end systems or push higher stability on your machine.
Several visual and movement-related bugs have been fixed.
As a thank you for your support, we’ve added some hidden new features to the Dark Web computer.
Good luck finding them.
Before anything else, here’s the biggest change:
The demo now includes a structured mission system. You can track and complete objectives directly from the left side of your screen.
And yes, after finishing the demo’s story, you can now continue playing the pizza shop and open world freely — without the shady side active.
This was one of the most requested features. We heard you. It’s in.

Fixed Mr. Ledger continuing to cough even after player interaction.

Incinerator button size increased for better visibility.

The demo is now in a technically stable state compared to launch.
We’ll keep improving performance and visual polish while preparing for full release-level expansion.
First of all, thank you.
The first two days were intense. Your reports, clips, and detailed breakdowns helped us move fast. With this major update, we’ve addressed the critical issues reported during launch.
Don't forget to join our Discord and let us know about new bugs.
Below is a technical breakdown of what has been resolved and improved:
Implemented core save functionality to properly persist progression and state between sessions.
Incinerator Sync (Client-Side) Fixed an issue where the incinerator appeared as an empty ingredient box on clients. Host logic was correct, but replication to clients was inconsistent.
Ingredient Box State Logic Fixed intermittent cases where emptied ingredient boxes would not convert back to empty containers. Prevented refilling already filled ingredient boxes and freezers to maintain logical inventory flow.
Dough Press Lock Bug Resolved a critical interaction deadlock where inserting a second dough before removing the pressed one caused the machine to permanently lock interaction.
Oven Placement System
Multiple oven purchases now properly clear the adjacent counter spaces and allow correct placement.
Ovens picked up with “B” are no longer restricted to countertop placement only. They can now be positioned more flexibly, similar to freezers.
Front PC Tutorial Lock The previously tutorial-locked additional machine purchase is now unlocked appropriately after progression, enabling faster scaling for multiplayer groups.
Reduced excessive character snagging on sidewalks and ground items. Broader ground-item collision behavior is still under review, but sidewalk obstruction has been improved.
Lobby Player Visibility Added player visibility in sessions. Steam display names are now accessible in-session (UI-based listing).
Global Audio Bug (Bar/Piano) Fixed issue where bar piano audio propagated globally across the map instead of being spatialized.
Gun + Shady Order Spawn Bug Fixed issue where ordering a gun alongside multiple shady items caused the gun to spawn on the ground and become non-interactable.
Extreme Pizza Payment Bug Fixed rare issue where some players received ~$1.2M pizza payments. Not language-related; now resolved.
Bitcoin Balance Adjustment Major economic rebalance. BTC value/rewards significantly reduced (~90%) to prevent early-game inflation and progression imbalance.
Dark Web Custom BTC Input Added custom purchase input field in the conversion module. The fixed $100 option remains, but players can now enter specific custom amounts (e.g., $31, $69) if funds allow.
Added ability to order sponges.
Fixed missing translations in Shady Order UI.
Added UI indicator for Shady Customer arrival in the back area (audio implementation may follow later).
Added UI indicator when holding throwable items (reminds player that “G” drops/throws).
Fixed ability to sleep before allowed progression, preventing unintended day skipping (Day 2 → Day 3 glitch).
Fixed Main Menu “Menu Music Volume” slider not functioning. Renamed “Theme Music Volume” to In-Game Music Volume for clarity.
Added red glowing eyes in forest/lake areas between 10 PM and sunrise. They disappear when approached.
Reserved wall space for upcoming in-game pizza manual designs (to be implemented).
This update resolves the major technical and economic issues identified during the first two days.
Thank you for pushing the demo hard and helping us stabilize it this quickly.

Hi, everyone!
We’re about to cross 10,000 wishlists and we couldn’t be more grateful. Every single one helps this little pizza-front, backroom-chaos dream grow bigger.
On February 16, the I Know a Guy demo goes live for everyone - completely free.
And it’s not a tiny taste.
Expect a long gameplay section, dozens of NPCs, tons of quests, multiple pizzas to craft, shady missions in the back, and our first open-world tests rolled in. It’s messy in the best way.
Then on February 23, we jump into Steam Next Fest - which means the week between the 16th and 23rd is absolutely critical. Your feedback, your playtime, your wishlists during that window directly impact how far the game travels.
Add I Know a Guy to your wishlist to get notified when demo will be released - from top right:
About I Know a Guy:
