To start the week with some good news, we’re excited to roll out our first major “Summer & Feedback Update”, packed with bug fixes, many gameplay improvements, and new feedback systems to optimize your co-op interactions.
Over the past weeks, our team has been closely watching players from around the world dive into the escape rooms we’ve designed with passion. Thanks to your streams, feedback, and messages, we've crafted a new patch aimed at enhancing the overall experience, and we can’t wait for you to try it.
Plus, to celebrate, the game is 25% off until August 17!

Global
New sound effects added
Localization updates across various languages
Main Game
You can now invert the Y-axis when playing with a mouse or gamepad
For Chinese players: the intro QR code now redirects to a website that doesn't require a VPN to access the Companion App
New feedback has been added when entering a code on a keypad
Rescue Submarine
Levers: Success feedback added. The machine now closes once the riddle is completed
Periscope: Improved collider to make switching between the keypad and the glasses smoother
Machine Room
Water Puzzle: Adjusted visuals for portholes #2 and #3 to make them easier to identify
Canteen
Extended timer by an additional 10 minutes
Captain’s Cabin
Map: Updated lighthouse and water tank icons to reduce player confusion
Torpedo Room
Molecule Simulator: Poster updated for better clarity. A new validation button has been added to clarify keyboard interaction
Torpedo Monitor:
Added more visual feedback to show how many characters are needed per round
A numerical hint has been added to help solve the second question
Step 1 localization has been revised for improved clarity
A new alert panel warns users if their Companion App is not up to date
Machine Room
Water Codex: Portholes #2 and #3 have been adjusted for better visibility
Electricity Manual: Color changes to the pattern ensure players no longer need to plug cables in reverse*
Captain’s Cabin
Map Codex: Lighthouse and other icons have been updated to improve comprehension
Torpedo Room
Torpedo Monitor Manual: Localization tweaks to Steps 1 and 3 for easier understanding
Control Room
Geolocation Codex: A confirmation message now appears when deleting circles using the Trash Bin

Minor bug fixes
Gamepad navigation has been improved, you can now cycle through all buttons correctly
Control Room
Military Strategy: Fixed a major issue where submarines could destroy ships outside of their range.
Geolocation: Fixed a bug that prevented circle placement on certain points when using the Undo function after using the Trash Bin.

If you haven’t played the first game, no worries! How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a unique co-op puzzle adventure where you and a friend will team up to reach a lost submarine and prevent the outbreak of war.
Work together on two devices to solve increasingly challenging puzzles, where each of you has your own unique role to play. Communication is key!
And YES! In “How 2 Escape”, you’ll have to team up with a friend!
