After months of passionate development, we're finally ready to share this carefully crafted DLC with you! Our team traveled to Japan on a couple of occasions - most recently with inspiration for this very DLC in mind! We're substantially expanding the buyers system! On top of that, we're also bringing you lots of gameplay improvements, like the long-awaited empty plots for Story Mode, tweaks to roofing mechanics, motion blur quality of life features, and some extra items on top! - You can buy information about especially elusive buyers 😎
- Buyers look at many aspects - environment, building size, the items inside and even what tags the items have! Cozy and ornate or futuristic and simple? See who shows up!

- 🤝 Search algorithm rework - now "Door" gives you "Door" instead of "Outdoor trash bin" 🙈

- Filters work with the Search function i.e. "Sakura DLC" filter + searching for "Door" results doors from the DLC at the top
🤝 Experimental Motion Sickness help, found in Settings/Gameplay

- Motion Blur is off by default
Before and After now has 3 settings - Ultra, On and Off. The Default is On i.e. your Graphics Settings. If photos seem worse quality than before, please try out Ultra.
🤝Phone calls have their own slider in the Settings/Sound tab
🤝 Roof building improvements
- Building now takes 3 clicks instead of 2, and is more precise
- You can build another roof without exiting Fly mode
- Flying to build or edit a roof should be less confusing (added tips how to fly, auto-fly height is lowered etc.)
- Exiting from flying drops you directly below where you were, so you can easily edit the roof again
- New roof profiles and roof bend settings which let you make East Asian roofs, domes and more!
🤝 Item Assembly changes
- 🤝 The timer has been completely removed from Assembly
- Completing assemblies unlocks the assembled item in the Store
- The discount for completing assemblies is higher
The Main Menu layout has changed to accommodate our future plans 😉
- Continue game will bring your office in Story Mode
- Sandbox Mode can be found under Play
- DLC will show if you have DLCs added to your account
Job improvements
- 🤝 More items have green highlights for where they should be placed (fences, stairs, pools etc.) This also works on Jobs from mod.io 😄
- The quest list will collapse when all items are sold or bought
- 🤝 The quest list will now say if all tasks are completed in a room
Item improvements
- All jungfrau pieces and all constructions (stairs, pools) are now concrete instead of brick. You can still paint/tile them!
- 🤝 Decorative wall lamela can be resized sideways, as well as upward
- Kitchen jars can be filled with rice, mint, sugar etc.

Known issues

🏠 What's coming to House Flipper 2 as a free update??

The highlight here has to be the brand new Buyer System 2.0! We mentioned that in our recent roadmap, and we can confirm that this feature includes: - Feedback during auctions: likes, dislikes, and comments on your work! - A bunch of new buyers, and a refreshed version of the old ones! - Detailed buyer profiles. - Buyer moodboards. + Unlocking specific buyers is now easier too! Beyond that, we have the long-awaited empty plots for Story Mode, as well as more than 100 new items available in the shop! Those are the highlights, but there's more - like the roof building improvements we promised! You will find all the spicy details in the upcoming patch notes. You may have also seen our recent X post showcasing some motion sickness improvements for House Flipper 2, and yes, those are included too!

📖 New Community Contest Rules!

Whether you're a competitive flipper who brings fresh ideas to community contests, or someone who enjoys following along and admiring the results — this one's for you! First of all, we'd like to organize something new, something huge - an event that will award the best of the best, and lead to a new level of challenge! We're talking about a championship-style Community Contest, likely held once a year, where winners from previous contests will go head-to-head. Second, because of this - and because competition is getting fiercer and prizes are getting bigger - we're thinking about making sure any contest submissions are the work of a single person. Don't get us wrong - we love seeing flippers team up and bring their A-game, but at the same time, teams going up against solo players is an issue we have to address. That said, we may occasionally host team-friendly contests if that's something you'd like to see - so let us know! If you have any suggestions about this, let us know! 📜 House Flipper 2 Devs: Who are we & How do we do things?

Hey Flippers! 👋 We’ve noticed that lately quite a few myths have been popping up about how we operate, what we’re working on, and sometimes even who we’re working with! Today, we want to take you behind the scenes and show you how House Flipper 2 and the other titles we’re involved in actually come to life. First of all, let’s talk about what Frozen District really is: Before anyone had even started thinking about House Flipper, there was just a small handful of us, and we were called Empyrean. You might recognize that name - it still pops up here and there from time to time. Then, for purely legal-accounting boring reasons, Empyrean just wasn’t enough, and that’s how Frozen District was born! If we skip the formalities, though, it’s pretty simple: Empyrean and Frozen District are the same people, working in the same place, doing the exact same thing - developing games! To make things a little more confusing, at one point, a group of ambitious folks from Frozen District created a parallel studio called Frozen Way. They helped us create some of the content for House Flipper and began working on their own projects. They’re the team behind the latest HF1 DLCs (Pets, Farm, and Dine Out), as well as the upcoming HF Remaster. This allowed Frozen District to focus on House Flipper 2, while our original game still gets to receive the work, support, and updates its fans deserve. They’re also helping us with the animals in the upcoming Pets DLC for HF2! Fast forward to the present day, Frozen District has grown a bit, and as a game studio grows, so do the processes. There are now almost 60 of us, compared to the original crew of about 10 who worked on HF1! We went from working in one room, shouting ideas over each other, to learning how to collaborate in a much bigger team, spread across multiple rooms. It hasn’t always been easy, but we think we’ve managed to find a sweet spot between growing the team and not turning into a full-blown corporate machine. We are very lucky to have talented teams of artists, designers, programmers, and more; their passion and desire to experiment is what led to the creation of House Flipper all those years ago. That desire still gets to live on and thrive through new ideas, new experiments, and, of course, we are in the lucky position that we are able to continue to test new waters. This has led to titles such as Forgery Craft and Heart Flipper - in the hope that one day we might create something on the scale of HF1 again. These projects also give us tons of pure fun - and at the end of the day, that’s still the most important thing for us when it comes to making games! Does this mean that the work stops on House Flipper 2 to make way for these side projects? Not at all! For those of you who like numbers, around 80% of the entire Frozen District team is currently working on House Flipper 2. That’s nearly 50 people! They’re the ones building new content updates and DLCs, implementing your suggestions from canny.io, and so much more. Thanks to their work, every detail in HF2 is carefully crafted - dialogues, stories, missions, items, narrative, mechanics, you name it. When we think about how we started HF1 using ready-made assets, and compare it to where we are now - where every single element is created by ourselves - we’ve come a long way. And in the end, a significant portion of this success is thanks to the supportive House Flipper community. We’re blessed to have you guys with us, and we hope that this clarified some things for you. The Scoobtober Community Contest was eye-opening! 👀

We were absolutely thrilled with everything that happened during the Scoobtober Community Contest. What an amazing performance by the winners - completely changing how we, the developers, and presumably the future competitors look at the possibilities in Sandbox Mode! The key to this breakthrough? Motion sensor and pressure plate mechanics! The most creative of players connected these newly introduced tools with some older tricks, creating houses that don’t just look outstanding, but also present you with a solid amount of surprising gameplay and interactive storytelling elements. Another year, another list full of content that we managed to add to House Flipper 2 (with your help!💙). This update marks the final step on our 2025 roadmap! {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/42979328/40b28bd2f761fee6ed1c85457078fdd0f83811c5.png (A new one for 2026 - coming soon!) Take a look at all the new additions and changes: New:

A certain bearded ho-ho-ho guy has a new job for you. He seems familiar... (Unlocked by completing either "Exterior renovation" or "House remodeling to finish")
A brand-new, messy property to buy and renovate, buried deep in snow! (Requires completing the job from the ho-ho-ho guy first)
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... – snowfall added to the Snowy Suburbs environment.
A brand-new snow removal tool to deal with all that winter mess!
PC: A warning message now appears when your disk space for saves is running low. (consoles already had this!)
170 New themed items available in the shop:
- Lots of Santa-related goodies
- 40 fireplace-esque items
- 17 fence gates !!
- 20 sports items to help you stay fit!
- A brand new car

Improved gamepad controls (including the Snow Editing Tool in Sandbox Mode)
Multiple controller button fixes and improvements – including proper handling of the snow editing tool in Sandbox Mode.
People living in suburban environments now turn their lights on at night (they’ve finally found the switch).
After consulting lunar experts, we made the Moon look more natural.
The save cleanup system (triggered when you’re running low on space) now shows more elements available for deletion.
Available storage bar in mod.io screen now actually shows available space left for mods.
Unpacking boxes now shows how many items remain inside, so you can manage your furnishing better!
Improved the indicator dot that marks newly discovered gameplay elements (like new jobs).

Oh boy oh boy, what a contest that was! The Summer Splash Community Contest brought incredible projects, outstanding competitors, and a prize unlike any other! This contest was most likely the biggest jump we've seen in terms of the level of play. In fact, we had to prolong the evaluation process and realized we needed to include additional members on the jury board. The fact that there could only be one winner made the decision even tougher, but HERE WE ARE! Lodex_Flipping is the one! That's who we'll be inviting to visit us at the Frozen District HQ!
