Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
Fixed: Players were unable to attack a region with 5 armies.
Added: Players can now rename their armies.
Fixed: The Spearmen defender trait bonus was not applied correctly in some battles.
Fixed: Improved the Game Guide with more details on battle and tax mechanics.
Added: Randomly generated maps in Skirmish mode. Players can now generate their own random maps using several parameters, such as map size, forest distribution, hills, mountains, and sea level.
Added: Map Editor. Players can now edit randomly generated maps, manually modify regions, save custom maps, and access them separately alongside original and random maps.
Added: Recruits breakdown per region. Hover over the number of available recruits to display a recruits breakdown tooltip.
Added: Option to enlarge the map preview image when selecting a map to play.
Added: Hold Ctrl to apply a x100 multiplier per click in recruitment and trade windows.
Fixed: Players can no longer click siege rams during the tutorial when asked to buy ladders.
Fixed: Minor camera issues.
Fixed: Minor translation issues.
Fixed: Slight positioning changes in the top resource bar.
Added: The End Turn action (Enter) can now be configured in key mappings.
Added: Proper application icon, visible in the taskbar.
Added: Battle Summary in Battle Logs. After the final round of battle, a summary is displayed showing casualties inflicted by each unit type.
Added: Every region can now be downgraded to the previous administrative level. This action takes 1 turn and provides 5 food.
Added: Every castle can now be downgraded to the previous defence level. This action takes 1 turn, costs 25% of the original construction gold, and returns 25% of the original construction materials (wood/stone/iron).
Added: Negative wood or stone income now causes slow castle degradation. Each missing required resource causes 3% defence value degradation, proportional to construction resource costs and distributed across all castles. In other words, a lack of wood mostly affects outposts and partially affects keeps, while a lack of stone mostly affects castles and strongholds.
Added: Map Overview, accessible from the right-side navigation panel. The Map Overview allows players to easily check global resource distribution, population, and region levels.
Added: Key configuration options for Trade (“B”) and Map Overview (“O”).
UI: Removed the Raise Army button from regions that cannot recruit armies (before building a Keep), as it was misleading. Added a "Needs Keep" requirement to the New Army section to make this clearer.
Fixed: Pressing Alt+Enter no longer ends the turn.
Fixed: The selected game difficulty is now preserved when saving and loading a game.
Fixed: Corrected a forest region in Mission 1 that was producing Food instead of Wood.
Added Alt+Enter to toggle between fullscreen and windowed mode.
Added Production and Upkeep tooltips when hovering over the top bar resources.
Improved the Battle Summary screen by realigning column headers and statistics for better readability.
Fixed the "Press Space" prompt when selecting the next unit. The displayed key is now taken from the player's current key bindings instead of being hardcoded.
Fixed the incorrect 30 Iron region in the Vikings Invasion scenario.
Fixed several translation issues.
I am thrilled to announce that Horn of the Warlord is now live!
I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this game by creating content, helping with marketing, providing translations, reporting bugs, suggesting improvements, as well as my friends and family who supported me throughout this project.
I created this game as my dream project and as a tribute to the old classic, strategy games I used to play on my Amiga and my first PC. My only hope is that it brings enjoyment to others, and I truly hope you will have fun playing it.
I did my best to deliver the highest quality possible, with engaging gameplay, challenging opponents and scenarios.
While today marks the full release, I still have plenty of ideas for the future, and I'll continue listening to your feedback and improving the game over time.
Thank you.
Good luck and have fun.
