Hold'em Fold'em Poker V1.001
Hosting a lobby by yourself dealt an impossible one-player hand — blinds posted, a turn timer ticking behind the "waiting for players" panel. Adding a bot now starts the game properly.
Workshop publishing failed with "error 25" on larger preview images — previews are now resized automatically, and long titles no longer trip Steam's limit.
Kicking a bot mid-hand no longer hands its chips to the pot — the kick now takes effect at the end of the hand, and can be cancelled.
Bans now survive a host change, can be applied to players who've already disconnected, and no longer leave the ready-up screen waiting.
Satin Sheen card finish now works — it had never rendered at all.
Controller: rock your hole cards with the right stick — the pad equivalent of hovering a card with the mouse, with smoothing so it eases rather than snaps.
Display → Edge smoothing — new anti-aliasing toggle (Off / 2× / 4×), defaults to Off. Even with AA turned off, cards should have a much cleaner look now with less stair-stepping when in their idle animation.
Bigger pots grow taller chip stacks
Mouse clicks skip the intro and credits (previously scroll wheel only).
The Early Access Reward pack Is in the queue with Steam to be pulled from purchase and retired.. So if you don't yet have it, make sure you claim it before it's gone as it won't be coming back!
Thank you again for supporting this game.

Some Highlights include:
Knockout effects - 5 random knockout effects when you or your opponents chips reach 0.
Eleven languages - Game UI translated into 11 languages. Please see the store page for an up to date list of supported languages.
Workshop support. Browse and download from the workshop within the Steam client. Upload your custom content from within the game.
Improvements to chip animations and player chip piles.
Many multiplayer improvements.
Bot tuning. Ongoing monitoring of player feedback.
First pass of Steam Deck support. You may find text small on these devices but it's something on the roadmap to be looked at.
General polish.
Development is ongoing, this isn't a dump from early access and run game. Bug fixes and possible new features will come in regular updates. :)
Thank you to all of the Early Access support. Your feedback whether good or bad has been really useful and will continue to be as the game enters v1.0 and beyond.

Workshop is now integrated. At the bottom of the customization window is where you'll find instructions on authoring contents in the 'Content Folder' link and there is a 'Workshop' button right next to this. It hasn't been tested in the wild yet. You can report any issues in the thread in the discussion forum. Full patch notes on the next build! :) See you at the table. --Longdog.
As part of our Early Access promise, full customization is now fully polished in the dev branch and will soon be pushed to you guys.. but more than that, Steam Workshop integration is being worked on too so you can download and share your creations with other players. It's coming along nicely and should be fully functional very soon.
You may have noticed in previous update notes that more additional big features before launch were not planned and this does go against that somewhat. But we hope you think that this requested feature is worth it!
This hasn't added much time to development as it has been worked on concurrently to other polish and fixes.
There are lots of little fixes upcoming with the next build too including:
Balance fix for passive and balanced bots. They were playing far too aggressively pre-flop.
Fixes with the action bar displaying values from the previous game between rounds.
A nice clean browser for user customizable elements in game.
and many more small fixes, too many to list.
As always, anything you think should be looked at, just pop a post in the discussion forum. Every comment and review is looked at, no matter how trivial.
Can't wait to share the full game with you!

V0.9 Pre-Release
New spotlight showdown effect (turn this off in settings if it’s too much for you! 😊 ).
Full sound effect pass and normalization.
Net-code hardened to feature a much more robust host handover when the host loses connection
Fully featured toasting system implemented.
Menu’s re-worked to be more intuitive.
Lots of game flow fixes which should significantly reduce game soft locks related to kicking bots mid turn.
Bots significantly adjusted, all-ins are now based on a per bot ‘heat’ meter. The chance of them making wild plays and forcing a showdown are now MUCH lower. We are still happy to tweak further if feedback points that way.
Added the ability to resume unfinished single player games after quitting.
Misc graphical and shader polish.
And many more undocumented fixes.
This is the last major update before our July release. Please let us know in the forums if you notice anything amiss.
See you at the table!

With Release day fast approaching it's your last chance to claim your Early Access Reward Pack! Make sure you claim your reward as once release day comes, it'll be gone for good.
CONTROLLER & STEAM DECK SUPPORT
- You can now play the entire game with a controller — menus, lobby,
betting, emotes, all of it.
- The triggers (LT/RT) let you fine-tune your bet: squeeze gently to
nudge it a little, pull harder to move faster. The same works for
volume sliders and number settings.
- The mouse pointer now hides itself when you pick up a controller, and
reappears the moment you touch the mouse or keyboard.
- You can skip the intro splash with any button.
- "Nudge" (for poking a player who's taking their time) is now reachable
on a controller, tucked into the emotes menu.
- Plenty of smaller fixes so menus, number boxes and Yes/No prompts all
behave properly with a pad in hand.
🏆 NEW ACHIEVEMENTS — THE CARD SHARK LADDER
- A new set of achievements to chase as you play: climb from Minnow
(10 wins) all the way to Legend of the Felt (500 wins), plus Regular,
Veteran and Grinder for the total hands you've played.
🎲 TABLE POLISH
- Chip piles now fan out into tidy separate stacks instead of bunching
up, so it's easier to read the pot at a glance.
- The "Show My Hand" button has moved to a clearer spot — right above
your cards — so it's much harder to miss.
- When more than one player wins a hand, you'll hear one clean chip
sound instead of an overlapping jumble.
💰 RE-BUYS
- Busted out? Your re-buy options now stay put until you decide, and
always match the host's buy-back settings.
🐛 FIXES & STABILITY
- Fixed a freeze that could happen when leaving a table with a controller.
- Fixed a glitch with the "Show My Hand" reveal.
- Smoothed out chip stacking so cards and chips no longer overlap oddly.
- Clearer message when you and a friend are on different game versions,
so you know when it's time to update.
- Assorted polish and stability improvements.
As always — thanks for the feedback. It genuinely shapes what we work on
next. See you at the tables! ♠️♥️♣️♦️
Today we're dropping the first public build of Hold'em Fold'em Poker. The core Texas Hold'em game loop is there and ready to be played online against your friends or offline by yourself, brushing up those bluff skills in a low stakes environment!
Currently in development is a more hardcore tournament mode which we've intentionally waited until release to polish so that we can gather player feedback and craft an experience that YOU the players want.
Thank you to for believing in this project and please feel free to drop any suggestions and criticisms in the discussion board as they are checked daily.
