Hey everyone!
The Steam Spring Sale has just started, and we’re happy to share that we’re part of it! 🎉 For the next 7 days, HELLMART will be available with a 15% discount.
It’s also a great chance to finish the game before the update, since the new modes will only be available after completing at least one ending.
We’ll be back soon with more news about an upcoming game update, but for now we’ve got a small announcement: we’ve just released our artbook!
It includes concept art from the early stages of monster design, product packaging ideas, customer designs, and some environment art as well :)
Thanks for your support 🥦
Hi everyone!
Right now we are in an active phase of developing new content, so we’re a bit less active in communication at the moment.
First of all, we want to thank you for your support and activity ❤️
The development of the new content will take some time, but to stay in touch with you we’d like to share a few updates about our plans.
The decoration system is already ready. It will allow you to decorate the shop both inside and outside, as well as your bedroom where your character sleeps. The system will be cross-save, so your decorations will carry over between playthroughs, but you’ll be able to disable them whenever you want.
We are actively developing a new mode that will unlock after completing the game once. In this mode, you’ll be able to choose between two gameplay modes: calm or hardcore. In these modes, your goal will be to survive for a certain number of in-game days. Depending on how well you survive, you will earn different ranks.
After that, we will move on to creating additional content.
We will also be releasing a digital artbook soon. If you’re interested in the story behind the development of the game’s visual style, this option will be available soon.
And although this is still quite far ahead, we also want to share that after releasing the big update for the game, we will move on to porting the game to consoles. But there are no specific dates yet.
From time to time we will come back with more development updates so you don’t lose track of us!
Once again, thank you so much for your support and kind words. We wouldn’t be able to do this without you.
With love!

Hey everyone!
We’ve got a small update for you:
You asked for an FPS lock - and it’s now in the game!
We’re also planning to add more settings that you requested:
- V-Sync
- Option to disable Motion Blur
- Option to disable Screen Shake
- Mouse X/Y Inversion
- Brightness setting
More updates coming soon!
Hi everyone! We are here today with the optimization pack.
Fixes:
Fixed a bug with the bus: it now drives away when you approach the phone, which prevents leaving the map boundaries and breaking the bus.
Fixed glowing shop hearts on Medium and High graphics settings.
Improved performance during endings, there should be fewer FPS drops.
Improved performance in the prologue during the bus ride in the tunnel, FPS drops should be reduced, though the effect may still remain on low-end systems.
FPS is now locked globally to reduce stuttering and drops. In the future, we plan to add an option to manually set the FPS cap in the settings.
Thank you for your support! The best is yet to come 🚀
Hi everyone!
Today we’re rolling out a small patch with a few fixes:
- Fixed asphalt and snow shaders
- Fixed the bloody window being too bright at night
- Added highlight to the axe on Night 3 so it can be spotted without a flashlight
- Fixed the tall man holding the bag incorrectly - now looks as intended
- Disabled the flashlight at the end of the bad ending
The best is yet to come!
Hey everyone!
We’ve rolled out a new update with a bunch of fixes and improvements:
Boards no longer disappear from the inventory after death.
Starting a new game no longer fills shelves with products from old save files (if you still have issues with full shelves, don’t forget about empty boxes in the storage — you can always use them).
The store no longer stops burning after getting on the bus in the mid ending.
The “Tall Man”’s hands no longer disappear in endings when getting too close to him.
Fixed an issue where the normal customer flow could break (customers giving money before items) after a unique customer left.
Renamed the “Judgement” achievement to “Judgment”.
Fixed camera shaking when hitting the monster’s hands and heart with an axe on Night 7.
Fixed a bug where door boards would stack into a single spot after death, making it look like only one board remained on the door after death or checkpoint reload.
Fixed an issue where door upgrades didn’t always affect how fast the monster’s hand breaks boards - now the higher the door upgrade, the longer it takes for the hand to break boards and open the door.
Fixed the morning checkpoint: if you ended up outside the store in the morning and couldn’t enter, you’ll now load inside the store.
Fixed a bug where people eaten by the monster at night inside the store could appear during the day or the next night.
Fixed an issue where all store doors would open after loading the game.
Broken boards no longer block door exits - they now disappear after a couple of seconds.
Improved box physics and behavior when returning them to shelves in the storage area.
Fixed a bug where money could sometimes go negative.
Removed joke item icons from the consumables screen to avoid confusion about cut content.
Fixed NPCs colliding with each other (again).
Fixed the monster’s heart glowing when it is destroyed.
Updated main menu music.
Fixed an art bug with bloody windows at night.
Fixed the anomalous customer holding products in their hands instead of placing them in a basket.
Fixed a bug allowing customers to be checked out before receiving money for change.
Fixed level 3 locks automatically opening during the day instead of the morning.
Added the ability to check the pager behind the cash register.
Fixed a bug where cleaning anomalous bloody windows at night rewarded money as if it was daytime dirt cleaning.
Fixed an issue where dirt could spawn in the store while the game was paused.
Fixed bugs with the monster’s hands that allowed them to break two boards at once or break invisible boards. There will be more bug fixes in the future, an optimization patch is in development, and we are already working on new content. Thank you for your support! The best is yet to come 🚀
Hello from the Hellmart team!
We see that some of you mentioned that Hellmart can feel short. We’re actively working on the next stage of the game’s development, but it takes time.
In the meantime, after reviewing all your feedback, we’d like to ask you one question:
Which update would you like to see first in the future?
❗️Please vote here via Google forms: LINK❗️
Bug fixes and optimization improvements are ongoing.
We’re looking forward to your answers!
Hi everyone!
We’ve fixed several hot bugs that you reported:
Fixed freezes during checkpoints, they should no longer occur.
Fixed an issue where two customers could sometimes collide with each other and get stuck for a while. Now this either doesn’t happen at all, or resolves itself automatically after a couple of seconds.
Fixed a soft lock where, after waking up in the morning, all doors could be locked from the outside. Unfortunately, this fix may not help players who have already encountered this issue. In that case, please try the following options:
Reload the checkpoint. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the game.
Start a new game - the issue should not occur again.
If reloading the checkpoint doesn’t help and you don’t want to start a new game, join our Discord (#instructions channel) and check the pinned thread with a solution that involves editing save files.
Updated the description of the Workaholic achievement to make it clearer how to obtain it.
Fixed an issue where the flashlight would turn on backwards while sitting in the bus.
Thank you for your support. Please keep sending us your feedback and bug reports. The best is yet to come🚀
Hi everyone!
We’ve been closely reading your feedback since launch. Some of you mentioned that Hellmart can feel short after the first playthrough, and we’d like to clarify this point.
The game is designed for more than just a single playthrough. We’ve added a display showing the number of unlocked endings. Now you can always see how many endings you’ve already discovered and how many are still left to find in future playthroughs as you explore all possible story paths.
We’ve also made some small changes:
Morality balance & localization fixes:
Adjusted the morality system balance to make "a bad" ending easier to obtain.
Fixed an issue with the display of Chinese characters.
Corrected localization errors.
Updated the descriptions of some achievements.
Sound:
Added a new SFX for handing out cigarettes at the register.
Adjusted the volume and fade of the register bell.
Slightly lowered the volume of music themes for unique customers.
Art:
Fixed visual bugs.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re continuing to work on the game. The best is yet to come.
Hey everyone! We wanted to share a short note.
We’ve been closely reading your feedback since launch. Some of you mentioned that Hellmart can feel short after the first playthrough, and we’d like to clarify this point.
Hellmart was originally designed around systems that generate playthrough variability, player choice, and multiple endings. Subsequent playthroughs can reveal new events, and your decisions - including how you treat customers - can lead to different outcomes.
Right now, we’re focusing on making this structure clearer within the game itself, while continuing to support and expand the project.
Thank you for playing, streaming, and sharing your feedback - it genuinely helps us better understand how Hellmart is experienced by you❤️
Thank you!
