Full Steam announcements and update articles for this title.
The time has come to show Nailcrown properly in motion. As part of the Convergence Games Showcase, we’re revealing our first full Gameplay Reveal video - a proper first look at the game itself, how it plays, how it moves, and what kind of trouble awaits once you step inside. You can catch the showcase on July 16th, 2026, across YouTube, Twitch, and Steam. The Pre-Show starts at 7pm BST / 8pm CEST / 11am PT / 2pm ET, followed by the Main Show at 7:30pm BST / 8:30pm CEST / 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET. We’re excited to be part of a lineup full of great games, and we can’t wait to finally show you what Nailcrown looks like when it’s actually being played. After the reveal, we’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback means a lot to us, so if anything catches your eye - the movement, the atmosphere, the combat, the weird things crawling around - let us know. You can jump into our social channels through the links below, or leave your thoughts right here on Steam. We’ll be reading. Dead or alive, they're there to hunt you. Be faster and smarter than them, learn what they are and how to beat them. Keep in mind that every enemy shown here is still work in progress. Their appearance, behavior, and abilities may evolve before release.
Once warriors baptized in blood who fought in countless battles, they are now a revived force serving dark masters. Armed with sword, spear, and shield, they spread annihilation to all! They are an uncounted legion of undead vessels, filled with hatred and rage-some still clad in the armor they wore during their final moments among the living, others stripped bare by the violence of their death Two variants currently stalk the battlefield, each demanding a different approach. Ghoul Swordsman The standard resurrected soldier. Clad in battered light armor and armed with rusted steel, they strike with relentless speed and serve as the perfect executioners for anyone who lets their guard down. Ghoul Shield A defensive nightmare. Their long spears keep you at bay while sturdy shields absorb punishment that would fell lesser foes. Fortunately, nothing survives your bloodlust forever. Hammer their defenses with relentless attacks or blast their shields apart using specialized weapons like the upgraded Shotgun and carve straight through whatever remains. No shield can stand forever against enough violence.
That's all for today's reveal. Many more abominations still lurk beneath the Necromancer's command, and we've barely scratched the surface. The crypts continue to open, darker creatures crawl into the light, and far worse nightmares are still waiting to be unleashed. Whether you want to feel like a God of Thunder, or like an Australian rockstar, the Thunderer is the weapon for you! It imitates the powers of both the thunders by shooting explosives as a rocket launcher would, and the lightings by shooting electricity at your enemies in a straight line. In other words, The Thunderer is the perfect solution for dealing with groups of weaker enemies or a handful of stronger ones.

Why aim carefully when you can splash the whole screen with pellets, see what happens, and deal with the consequences later? The shotgun has always been the trusty companion of anyone exploring unknown territory - perfect for reacting to surprises, hitting multiple enemies at once, and turning jumpscares into target practice. Who cares about ten Ghouls jumping at you when you’ve got your good old double-barrelled friend by your side? Every friend should have a nickname, too? Give us some of your ideas. "The Deleter", perhaps?

First glimpse of Nailcrown's arsenal - the Nailgun. Time to nail it
Watch the trailer of what we've been cooking: our lead designer's 🩸wettest dream yet!
We're rolling out a small one-off update to make it more worthwhile to play the workshop mods.
Achievements can now be unlocked while playing mods.
Fixed 2 small bugs related to the HUD:
Fixed a bug where having two weapons of the same ammo type would render ammo for both as either greyed out or fully white; applicable to Pistol + Mac10 in the base game, and Shotgun + Saiga-12 + Boomstick in the 1.333 mod.
Icons for empty weapons on the ground are now displayed and made greyed out - this fixed an issue where it was hard to spot Mac10 on the floor of the Train level because its ammo would be taken for Pistol, and icon for the empty gun would disappear. Same issue was present in 1.333 mod for Shotgun / Saiga-12 / Boomstick.
These changes were made in collaboration with our most active modder Igoreso. Keep an eye on mod updates - there is something neat coming for those who like the original game's perspective!
Cheers,
DC team
