Big News! Grocery Store Simulator is launching November 21st at 9 AM EST!

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and this update is HUGE. Not only have we fixed a ton of issues, but we’ve also packed in some exciting new features and changes that we think you’re going to love. Here’s a preview of what’s coming:

Forklift + Bulk Ordering

• Now you can order pallets of items (36 per pallet) and move them around with a forklift!
• Save time with custom order presets—you can create, edit, or delete them as needed.
• Don’t worry, single-item ordering is still an option for those smaller orders.

Better Employee System

• Managing employees is now easier with a new, streamlined task interface.
• We’ve replaced the old “Take a Break” command with the highly requested Unload Truck feature (and yes, employees will take breaks on their own now).
• Plus, we’ve given employees a visual upgrade for a fresh new look!

Deliveries Made Easy

• There’s a brand-new Deliveries Tab where you can track all your orders and even cancel them if needed.

Proximity Voice Chat

• We’ve fixed the issue with voice chat only working in 2D. Now, it’s fully 3D, so you’ll hear your friends as if they’re right there with you!

Manual Garage Door

• You asked, and we listened: there’s now a button to manually open and close the garage door.

More Levels, More Items

• We’ve added 5 new store levels and 15 brand-new items to keep things fresh as you progress.

• You all really wanted jumping, so we added it. And honestly? It’s way too fun to ever take out again.

Hello, First off, thank you for all the support on our last devlog! It’s been great to see that the community is still with us and we really appreciate it. As promised, we’re back to show you the forklift in action! Operating this machine has been a lot more fun than we expected! That said, there's still some work to be done: the controls are a bit clunky and picking up pallets can be tricky. One pallet will contain 36 boxes. We're working on it!

The entire environment and parking lot are getting a complete overhaul.

And we wanted to clear a few things up: "Two games at once? :( sad.. means even slower updates.." "I hope you realize announcing you are working on another game while you currently have one in Early Access is NOT a positive thing to say to your customers."

• Rest assured, Grocery Store Simulator is still getting the same amount of time and effort as before. We’re working hard on both projects, and nothing’s being slowed down.

Hey everyone, We’re really sorry about the v0.8 update. It didn’t meet your expectations, and we promise we won’t make that mistake again. We appreciate your feedback, and we’ve read through all your comments. We know we messed up, but things have gotten a bit out of hand. We’ve even received some death threats. We never imagined an update could cause this, and we definitely don’t deserve that.

Anyway, here’s what we’re working on for the next update:

Employees

Rework of the employees has already started, this is what we've done so far:

• Employees will now take breaks on their own when their morale drops, so no more managing that yourself.
• We’ve replaced the “Take a Break” command with “Unload Truck”.
• After you relog, employees will arrive right away. No more waiting for the next shift.
• The command wheel is now one simple interface for all employees. Just press “E” anytime, anywhere, to give orders. No more running around to find them.
• Employees will finish their task before heading to the bus at the end of their shift.

Delivery truck

• Fixed the issue where the delivery truck would turn into a wall upon arrival.

Forklift

• We’re working on a forklift system to make the game less of a “Storage Simulator”. It should be really fun! We’ll show it off in the next devlog.

That’s just the beginning. More additions and improvements are on the way.

Hello, today we're introducing a new employee system that is different from what you're might have been used to, because, as always, we do everything with love and care. Because this game is co-op oriented, we needed to make sure the employees would not make the feature obsolete. We believe we balanced the employees well enough to still keep the gameplay challenging. While employees would greatly help solo players, it's still easier with friends.

COMMANDS

• Forget about the lazy design other similar games use; this time, you're the boss. Each employee can do everything you wish. Just select the command from the command wheel, and off they go!

MORALE

• To avoid becoming an idle game, we added morale! Employee morale progressively goes down when they work and goes up when they are taking a break. Make sure to give them breaks when they need them, or else they will have an attitude towards you. Once morale is fully down, they will quit.

SHIFTS

• To still keep co-op relevant, we made a shift system so you don't have too many employees at the same time. Each shift has a maximum total of 5 employees. A bus will arrive at the beginning and end of the shifts to gather or drop off employees. There are 2 shifts: Day (07:00 - 19:00) Night (19:00 - 07:00)

SPEED

• Each employee has different speed points. Employees with higher speed will be more expensive. Speed affects every command.

SHELF LABELS

• You wanted them, and you got them! Labels will help not only players but also employees to know where to stock what.

NOTE: Physics work a bit differently now. If your store has a lot of boxes laying around, you may experience significant FPS drops. Try to keep the boxes on the storage shelves or throw them out in the dumpster until we optimize the physics.
