Since the launch of Goblin Vyke, we have received an incredible amount of love from our community, alongside a wealth of constructive criticism, suggestions, and skepticism. Whether praising the game or expressing frustration, we have carefully read every single piece of feedback and engaged in deep continuous discussions within the team.
In organizing the feedback, we gradually found ourselves focusing on one core question: Where exactly do the "frustration," "helplessness," and "anger" that players experience stem from? More importantly, how can we adjust our game design so that different types of players can consistently enjoy the thrill and fun the game has to offer?
In past versions, many of you encountered a similar bottleneck: as you progressed through the stages, enemies became increasingly dangerous, yet player progression felt unstable. To secure better Bone Shards or ideal random outcomes, players often had to rely heavily on save-loading to try again and again—otherwise, they were met with endless failure. This tedious loop was never the experience we originally intended to create.
We have always believed that a player's growth should stem from their own active choices, tactical planning, and resource accumulation, rather than relying on constant loading.
Therefore, in Version 1.1.0, we have concentrated our adjustments around a single core mission:
To achieve this, we have optimized several pivotal systems in this new update: Players can now secure steady progression by purchasing permanent buffs via the Mask System; the Bone Shard system now features a lower carrying cap but offers a much more controllable and stable upgrade process; Cursed Chests now support Gold-based rerolls to decrease reliance on save-loading; randomized processes like sales have been shifted to a pre-seeded logic sequence that no longer resets via SL; meanwhile, we have recalibrated the difficulty tiers to make Cautious Mode a smoother ride, while making Greed Mode significantly more challenging.
Through these changes, we hope you can plan your progression path with a clearer, more stable rhythm, and tackle the game's challenges with a wider variety of strategies and builds.
Based on the philosophies above, the specific details of the V1.1.0 update are as follows:
Difficulty Tiers Rework: In Cautious Mode, added a 50% damage reduction modifier. "Hard" negotiation difficulty will no longer appear; In Greed Mode, added a 200% damage taken modifier. Mortgage amounts have been increased, and "Easy" negotiation difficulty will no longer appear; In Real Mode, All negotiation difficulties are locked to "Hard," and the mortgage amount has been scaled up to 10x.
Save-Loading Mechanics Overhaul: Save-loading will no longer alter randomized outcomes during sales, negotiations, and other events. It can no longer be used to refresh the attributes of customers, employees, franchisees, or Cursed Chest buffs.
Bone Shard System Optimization: Upon a failed upgrade, the success rate for the next attempt will temporarily increase by 10% until your next success; Only the highest-level shard of the exact same type will take effect; Upon death, Bone Shards will only drop by one level, rather than breaking entirely. Only the lowest-level shards will break; Bone Shards can now be fed to Cursed Chests.
Mask Buff System Rework: All buff effects have been reworked and will now permanently take effect upon purchase, unlocking gradually based on your game progression.
Cursed Chest Gold Rerolls: When crafting Cursed Charms, you can now consume Gold to reroll the buff options. The price will escalate with each subsequent reroll.
Added a one-click "Rewind" feature upon death, allowing you to instantly return to your pre-dungeon status from earlier that evening.
Added a new 4-slot Quick Pouch, allowing for fast item consumption via hotkeys.
You can now automatically organize your bag with a single click during the night phase.
Dolls can now be actively deployed and activated on the spot directly from the inventory screen.
Cursed Charms can now be actively discarded during the daytime phase.
Added an option to manually delete save files.
Added new daily dialogue interactions for your number one fan, Vivi.
Buffed the "Pocket Bug" Charm: Grants an additional 2 Gold Bugs per successful steal.Localization
Added full French language support.
Full French language support is now available
We are fully aware that as our team's very first title, Goblin Vyke still has many rough edges and areas to improve. We humbly ask for your continued guidance, and we will keep pushing forward to optimize and update the game. Thank you once again to every single "little goblin" who has supported us along this journey.
Every piece of your feedback helps us light the path toward a better game. We eagerly look forward to hearing more of your voices in the future.
It's been a while, fellow Thief Tycoons!
The launch discount has officially ended today. We can't thank you enough for your support over the past two weeks, we've passed 50,000 copies sold!
In the half month since launch, we've received over 900 Steam reviews, along with a huge amount of feedback, suggestions, and criticism from other platforms and communities. We've read every single one. Our team is still small -- one programmer plus me as a half, and we're already going full speed, but there's still a long list of fixes and improvements ahead. Please bear with us a little longer.
The folks fixing bugs alongside me used to be my colleagues at a mobile gaming company, grinding away without much hope or ambition for years before we finally decided to quit and make our own game. We wanted to push ourselves to create something genuinely innovative, with a style of our own. This is the first complex indie project we've ever taken on.
The biggest advantage of a small team is the lack of constraints. Goblin Vyke is packed with bold, unconventional design choices that would have been nearly impossible to push through at our old companies, they weren't "market-validated." But on our own team, we got to take creative risks. Some of them paid off in really fun ways.
That said, making an indie game has been much harder than we ever imagined.
In the final three months before launch, we were working from morning till night, often more than ten hours a day. It was a serious challenge, both mentally and physically. On top of that, since we didn't have a lead artist on the team, our character illustrations were commissioned to an external artist -- which left us with the unfortunate result of a somewhat inconsistent visual style across the game.
Goblin Vyke is a slightly unusual game. It might be exactly your kind of thing, or it might leave you feeling a bit uncomfortable. But if it has sparked any thought or resonance in you around the theme of "greed," we'd be deeply honored.
To us, as long as every gameplay element ties back to a single core theme, the whole experience feels cohesive and intentional. For players, whether you're sneaking through a dungeon at night or hustling customers during the day, you're constantly facing one question: "Should I push for just a little more?"
What we hope is that, in the moment you choose to be greedy, you don't forget the risk and the cost that comes with it. After all, greed can sometimes earn you a fortune, but it can just as easily leave you with nothing. Luck doesn't smile on the same goblin forever.
Finally, a special thanks to Vyke's friends: the players who met Vyke back in the demo days, the friends who helped us with internal testing before launch, and the community members who've been answering questions for other players on Discord, Reddit, and elsewhere. Goblin Vyke wouldn't be what it is today without your help and companionship.
Here's what we'll be working on in the near future:
Ongoing bug fixes and performance optimization
Save system improvements, including a planned save deletion feature
Bone Shard crafting overhaul (Bone Shards were originally designed with rare-item odds in mind. We'll be adding two layers of safeguards: a pity system for crafting, and either lowering the chance of shattering or making shattered shards repairable)
Quality-of-life improvements (a new side-bar inventory for quick item use)
Dolls can now be actively placed on the ground for direct use
More rare items
Additional NPC behaviors and reactions
As our team's first project, Goblin Vyke has its rough edges. Thank you for being patient with us. We'll keep pushing, keep improving.
Thanks again to every little goblin who's been with us on this journey.

"People have called me by different names: the Golden God, the Maiden in Yellow, or the Demon Lord. But in essence, I am the gardener of the Golden Tree. I exist because of the tree, and my purpose is its growth." -- The Demon Lord
If you've finished the game, you've already met her. If you haven't, here's a quick intro:
She has many names -- the Gardener of the Golden Tree, the Maiden in Yellow, or the one you'll most likely call her: the Demon Lord. She lives in the deepest part of the dungeon, and she's at the heart of the entire story.
In our earliest sketches, she looked more like a maiden with a touch of divinity.
The illustration went through six or seven iterations, and each pass was about subtraction -- the goal was to make her feel less human, more divine.
The withered branches behind her, the entwined vines, and the scattered petals all express her symbiotic bond with the Golden Tree. She is part of the Tree.
If you haven't met her yet? Keep stealing, little goblin.
Reworked the Chomp Chest redemption system: important items accidentally lost in previous saves can now be recovered through the Chomp Chest redemption option

Fixed an occasional softlock after Lucius stops collecting payments
Dear Thief Tycoons,
Hello.
Over the past few days, we've read every single review, both the positive and the negative, and we've spent a lot of time thinking.
What we want to hold onto is the core feeling of "high risk, high reward." But in how we actually designed and tuned the game, we made mistakes.
The criticism that hit us the hardest was this: many players said they didn't die because they were greedy , they died because they had no choice but to be greedy.
That was a wake-up call.
To be greedy or not should be the player's own choice, take a bigger risk for better loot, or play it safe and extract while you can. That decision itself is the most essential part of the fun. But in the previous version, rent pressure forced everyone down the same path: be greedy or go bankrupt. That's not "high risk, high reward." That's no choice at all.
Some challenges are genuinely fun to overcome -- solving a trap puzzle, learning a map's layout, pulling off a perfect stealth run after studying enemy patrol routes, or going all in on one last steal and making it out alive.
But the pressure of not being able to make rent doesn't belong to that kind of fun. That was a mistake in our balancing, and we sincerely apologize.
Added fast travel between statues: unlocked statues on the same floor can now be used to teleport between each other
Added a difficulty reduction option upon death: in Reckless and Greedy difficulty, players can now choose to lower the difficulty to Cautious upon death (this change cannot be reversed)
Significantly reduced mortgage payment amounts
Increased drop rates for high-tier items from advanced enemies
Starting inventory capacity +8
Starting storage capacity +16
Strengthened Mask Buff effects for inventory expansion and bone shard bonuses
Reduced damage dealt by common enemies
Fixed detail errors in the Bank base level
Various localization corrections
As an indie dev team, we care deeply about the game we've made. So when criticism comes, our instinct is to explain, to defend. But player experience doesn't lie. Those who say the game is a blast, and those who say it's painful -- they're both telling the truth.
Going forward, we'll keep fixing, keep iterating, and keep listening to all of your feedback and criticism.
Dear Thief Tycoons,
Our Day 1 sales have surpassed 15,000 units! Thank you to every single player who chose Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon.
We've received a massive amount of feedback and bug reports since launch, and we are reading every single one. Limited by our small team size, our immediate priority is fixing the bugs you've encountered. As for your optimization suggestions, we have recorded all of them and will schedule them based on demand and implementation difficulty. Please give us just a little more time.
We will add more guidance and positive feedback.
In our latest update, we increased the drop rate of bone shards. This is a bold change, but it should improve your gameplay experience across the board.
Since launch, we've received a lot of feedback about the game being too hard and the negative feedback loop being too strong. We want to be open and honest with you about our design philosophy and what we stand by.
How hard should a game be? It's a highly debated topic. We don't expect every player to love Goblin Vyke, but we prioritize maintaining its unique "flavor." Think of it like a spicy Sichuan restaurant: some customers will inevitably find it too spicy, but that heat is an inseparable part of the experience.
Some find the difficulty frustrating; others find it highly addictive. Goblin Vyke is indeed a "challenging but fun" game. This challenge has been inevitable since we established the theme of "greed"—high risk and high reward run through the entire experience. The peak moments the game offers—like the thrill of a close call, surviving by the skin of your teeth, or gambling it all to strike it rich—are born from the dangerous environments and high-pressure choices. Without this "hardship," there wouldn't be the immense "satisfaction" of exploring the whole map, mastering the traps, and making a massive profit.
You might think our stubbornness is foolish or naive, but please give our "stubbornness" a little more time. We will continue to monitor your feedback on difficulty and try to balance the frustration while preserving the thrill.
Some players have questioned the RNG behind bone shard synthesis. We must clarify: all random probabilities in the game are true RNG. There are no hidden caps, and there is no pity system. For a game that leans into the feeling of a "gamble," we prefer to leave your luck to the heavens.
Here is a brief look at our update plans for the next week or so:
Fast Travel Between Statues: Live in today's update! You can now fast travel between unlocked statues.
Difficulty Adjustment Mechanism: Currently in planning. We are considering adding a "regret" mechanism that allows players to lower the difficulty mid-game, letting you find your own rhythm after getting familiar with the mechanics. We still highly recommend new players start on the "Cautious" difficulty.
Backpack Expansion: Regarding the lack of backpack slots, you can currently expand your inventory by purchasing backpack slot buffs from the Mask of Greed , crafting specific Amulets, or equipping the Amulet "No Retreat, Fully Armed."
Real-time Saves: We hear your urgent requests for a real-time save feature. However, after serious discussion, we have decided not to add it. Doing so would fundamentally destroy the core experience we want to convey: the cost of greed. The gains and losses of each adventure are exactly what we want you to feel in this game.
We'd also like to share some tips from our veteran players:
Daytime Selling:
Prioritize rescuing stranded adventurers and hiring them as employees. More employees mean higher economic returns.
Check the Daily News and target hot-selling items based on the next day's market trends. (You can check the Daily News anytime in the calendar).
Early game recommendation: Use the "Staff Mastery + Colorful Gem" combo. Later on, supplement this with the "Focus Helmet + Skeleton Horseshoe", and equip the corresponding Knowledge Encyclopedia based on the customer demands in the Daily News.
If the day's revenue is poor, use the Save/Load trick : reload your save to reroll the dice for higher multipliers before selling your goods.
When your shop reaches level 2, a goblin fangirl named Vivi Grin will visit. She is easily persuaded, making her a great target to squeeze for extra profit!
Nighttime Stealth:
If you drop quest items, Amulets, or Collections , you can ransom them back via the Mimic.
Stack up your Luck stat through potions or successful steals. High Luck helps you find rarer treasures and potions.
We highly recommend unlocking the Double Jump and Grappling Hook skills as early as possible to massively boost your early-game exploration efficiency.
The game's "wheelchair" (easy mode) build: Stealing directly from enemies right after stunning them is incredibly fun!
For annotated map guides, feel free to join our official Discord server. We've also created an interactive map to help new players get started:

Thank you all again for your support. We will keep updating and polishing the game to ensure it goes a long way.

Increased the stun duration for Henrik, the Tormented. Players now have a sufficient window to steal from him after knocking him out.
Increased the drop rate of high-level bone shards from high-level skeletons.
Fixed a bug where triggering a dodge at the exact moment a Mimic bites you would cause a softlock.
Fixed an issue where the frame rate had no cap; it is now limited to 60 FPS
Fixed an issue where controller vibration would not stop properly in certain situations
Fixed a discrepancy between the numbers displayed in the UI and the actual values during daily settlement
Fixed Coinbeetles not triggering sound effects in the Beginner Spire level
Fixed a softlock caused by opening the map while being bitten by a Mimic Chest

Time flies so fast! Our game, Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon, is officially launching on April 30. The closer we get to release, the more nervous and excited we feel. To make the most of this final stretch, we've compiled and answered some of the community's most frequently asked questions.
Q: What is the release date and price?
A: The game will launch on April 30 at 7 PM PDT. The price will be revealed at launch, and we will be offering a special launch discount that lasts for 14 days!
Q: Will Demo saves carry over? Is there a real-time save feature?
A: We're sorry, but demo saves will not carry over to the full version. Because there were simply too many incredible master thieves, the economy and stats in our demo have become completely unbalanced. To ensure everyone gets the best experience in map exploration, level challenges, and the story, the official version requires everyone to restart this journey of greed. There are no real-time saves in the official version; the game will automatically save at the beginning of each "Day" and "Night" phase.
Q: How big is the game? How long does it take to beat?
A: The game features 4 distinct large maps, with each map containing its own exclusive hidden levels, along with enemies and bosses that have entirely different behavior patterns. For players familiar with the genre or those who have played the demo, a single playthrough will take around 20+ hours. If you explore blindly without a guide, it will take roughly 30 hours. If you are a completionist (collecting all haggling skills, collections, and unlocking all endings), the game offers enough content for 40+ hours of playtime. Additionally, the game features over 30 amulets and over 20 collections. Whether you prefer the agile stealth approach or the aggressive brawler style, you can find a playstyle that suits you.
Q: Is the game friendly to players with slow reflexes? How many difficulties are there?
A: The game offers four difficulty choices at the start (Note: Once selected, the difficulty cannot be changed mid-game):
Cautious: You have higher initial health, enemy alertness is reduced, and the amount required for each loan repayment is lower. This is our recommended difficulty, perfect for new players.
Reckless: Play with standard stats; dying will be a common occurrence, suitable for players who don't fear a challenge.
Greedy: You gain higher initial Luck, but your starting health is lower, enemies are much more alert, and your death backpack is smaller. Ideal for experienced and greedy players.
True: Stats are identical to Greedy mode, but dying will automatically delete your save file. You must beat the game at least once to unlock this ultimate difficulty.
Q: How many endings are there? How do I progress the story quests?
A: We have designed a total of 5 different main endings, which include 1 perfect ending and 1 hidden ending. Every choice you make—such as whether to help the banker Lucius steal the Demon Lord's heart, help the Demon Lord steal Lucius's seed to become the new spokesperson, or team up with the masked elf to uncover the truth about the Golden Village—will directly change the course of the story and the fate of the NPCs.
Q: Your character art looks great, is it AI-generated?
A: Absolutely not. During the early Demo phase, due to a lack of time for manual refinement, we did use a small amount of AI-generated placeholder assets. As our artists completed all the official assets, these placeholders were entirely replaced by December 2025. All the art assets you see now are completely hand-drawn by humans.
Q: How big is your development team?
A: We are an independent development team. We have 3 full-time members, and 2 friends who help out on weekends.
Q: Is there support for controllers and the Steam Deck?
A: The game fully supports controller gameplay! Regarding the Steam Deck, the vast majority of features are already supported, ensuring a smooth playthrough from start to finish. There may just be a few minor UI resolution scaling issues. We will continuously optimize the game immediately after release, striving to earn that perfect Steam Deck Verified green checkmark as soon as possible.
Q: If I encounter a bug or have a suggestion, how should I provide feedback?
A: Join our Discord. If you run into a severe bug, please directly message any of the admins in the server. After the game launches, we will also be sharing game guides and tips with everyone in the community!
Dear Thief Tycoons,
Starting April 23, we will be temporarily removing the Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon demo from Steam.
The current demo has several known bugs, and as development of the full version has progressed, the game has undergone significant changes in gameplay, systems, and content. The demo no longer reflects what the full version will actually look and feel like. Our team is fully focused on the final polish for the full release, and we're unable to maintain the demo at the same time.
We don't want new players to form an inaccurate first impression of the game based on an outdated build.
The full version will launch on April 30 (PST), featuring a complete and thoroughly polished experience. Once the full release is stable, we plan to create and re-upload a new demo.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We'll be waiting for you at the Grabby's Shop!
To all the Thief Tycoons out there:
Thanks for waiting!
Since the demo launched, we've received a tremendous amount of feedback from DMs, community groups, and Steam reviews. Bug reports, suggestions, ideas for improvement, we've read and discussed every single one. It's your patience, support, and honest feedback that shaped Goblin Vyke into what it is today.
Thank you to everyone who played the demo, left a review, added us to your wishlist, or helped newcomers in the community. Your attention and patience are the most important reason this game has made it this far.
Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon will officially launch on April 30 (PST), 2026 as its full version!
If you'd like to be the first to know about game updates, the exact launch time, and community events, follow the game through the link below.
Since the demo went live, we've seen countless messages asking "when is the full release?" We saw every one of them, and yes, we did consider speeding things up. But in the end, we chose to take the extra time to deliver a more complete, more polished version -- rather than rushing it out and patching later.
For our team, this development cycle has been anything but short. There were systems we scrapped and rebuilt from scratch, weeks spent refining a single design detail, and late nights going through player feedback line by line, prioritizing what to fix next.
Over a year of hard work, all to live up to your expectations.

We hope the full release will be an answer worth waiting for.
Greetings, Thief Tycoons!
Steam Next Fest is over. Thank you to everyone who set foot in the dungeon.
Since the Demo went live for Next Fest, we’ve received a lot of love and support. Thank you.
According to the data Steam shared today, Goblin Vyke gained 7,000+ wishlists during the event.
Now, total wishlists have passed 45K, and the Demo has been downloaded more than 60K times. For a small indie team, these numbers are beyond what we expected. Thank you.
Next Fest may be over, but the Demo stays available. We’re still tuning and improving the game based on your feedback.
We’ve seen the same questions come up a lot during Next Fest. Here are the answers:
Q: When does the full game release?
The full game is planned for Q2 2026. We’ll announce the exact release date within the next month. The full Thief Tycoon experience is almost here.
Q: Is the art AI-generated?
During early development, we used AI to generate character images as placeholders as our artist took her time drawing the final artwork. All of those placehodlers were fully replaced by December 2025.
Every character you see in the game today is hand-drawn by human.
We did post a declaration on the store page before December 2025 and took it off as we updated the demo with hand-drawn artwork. Sorry for any confusion.
Q: How big is the team?
We’re a small indie team. We started with 3 people and are now 4.
Development began in late 2024; the Demo launched in July 2025. We’d rather let the game speak for itself than lean on our story. We want to repay your support with the game’s quality.
Q: Will Demo saves carry over to the full game?
Demo saves will not carry over to the full game. We sincerely apologize for this—the sheer number of skilled Thief Tycoons out there has pushed our Demo's numbers completely out of balance. Inheriting saves would significantly impact the experience of later levels, progression, and story. Thank you for your understanding.
If you haven’t tried the Demo yet, it’s still free to play.
If you have, we’d love to hear from you—in our Discord. Whether it’s bugs, balance, or ideas for improvement, we read everything. A positive review on the Demo page would also mean a lot and help us keep going.
And if you haven’t already, adding Goblin Vyke to your Steam wishlist helps us a great deal.
See you, little goblins.

Greetings, Thief Tycoons! It’s been a while.
We're excited to officially announce that Goblin Vyke will be participating in the February Steam Next Fest!
A massive content update is now live for the Demo. We welcome both new and returning players to dive back into the dungeon.
We've also officially confirmed the launch window: the full game is expected to release in 2026 Q2.
The specific release date will be determined based on feedback from Next Fest and the subsequent Playtest, so we'd love for you to play the Demo and share your thoughts in the comments and community hub. Every piece of feedback helps us polish the game further.
One important note: Demo saves will not carry over to the full game. We sincerely apologize for this—the sheer number of skilled Thief Tycoons out there has pushed our Demo's numbers completely out of balance. Inheriting saves would significantly impact the experience of later levels, progression, and story. Thank you for your understanding.
The complete experience of becoming a Thief Tycoon is finally within reach!
Controller Support
Key Remap
Since the Demo's release, we’ve received a lot of feedback requesting controller support and key rebinding. As a result, we’ve brought forward these features—originally planned for the full release—into the Next Fest version.
If you run into any issues, please let us know! We'll continue to refine these based on your feedback. After all, when it comes to thievery, feel is everything.
New Franchise System: Unlocks once your shop reaches Level 3.
Completing orders from the Pre-order Merchant rewards you with gold and bonus Blessings — and you can even reroll your employees' traits.
Vyke’s ambition knows no bounds—he’s aiming for a chain store empire to become a true black-market mogul. The Franchise System will continue to evolve, and we’d love to hear your thoughts.
New Boneforge Chest: Activate with a Summoning Candle to craft higher-tier Bone Shards from lower-tier ones. Note: crafting can fail.
New Curse Chest: Feed it items with the Curse tag—such as a Completely Broken Sword or an Exploding Puppet. Fill it up and you'll earn a custom Amulet.
New Chomp Chest: Now features Unstable Lucky Bags and Dimensional Vault in addition to item upgrades.
New Home Cocoon & Twin Cocoon: New travel methods and map markers within the dungeon.
New Scroll Fragments: Collect three different types of fragments to craft a Universal Ancient Scroll.
New "Precious" Items: Gold Sword, Limited Edition Staff, Ivory Bow (super rare. try ur luck)
New Eye Monster drop: Withered Wings with the Curse tag.
New Runes, Collectibles, and Haggle Skills are hidden in the dungeon, waiting to be looted.
Nerfed the stats of Speed Bone Shards.
Reworked the Stomp Jump mechanic: you can now stomp on enemies from any height, but stunning them still requires sufficient drop distance.
Double Jump and Air Dash no longer reset fall damage.
UI and SFX updates are ongoing and will continue to be iterated.
Thank you again for your support and patience!
Before the official launch, we will continue to polish all content to ensure the full release lives up to your expectations.
If you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to join our community and let us know. Top Thief Discord. your ideas might just make it into the final game.
see you at Next Fest, little goblins!

Greetings, Thief Tycoons! It’s been a while.
We have some news to share: controller support and key remapping are now implemented and will go live with the February Steam Next Fest build.
It’s hard to believe, but the Demo is closing in on 50,000 downloads—nearly 50,000 people have played the game since we launched in July 2025.
When we first put the Demo out in the summer of 2025, even 5,000 wishlists felt like a distant dream. Now, at the start of 2026, we’re past 35,000 wishlists and still growing. Thank you, really.
The upcoming Next Fest is the biggest milestone we’ve had so far. To match the support and expectations you’ve given us, we brought these features forward—originally planned for the full release—so they’re in the February build. After all, when it comes to thievery, "feel" is everything.
This is our first time shipping controller support and key remap, so there may be rough edges. If you run into any issues, please let us know in our community channels! We’ll use your feedback to refine these features for the official launch.
To every player who’s been with us
No matter how many times we say thank you, it never feels like enough.
We hope the game itself can be our answer to your support.
And to every indie developer reading this
Keep going. Don’t give up.
We believe that this year, we can all get a little closer to our dreams.
See you at Next Fest, little goblins.

Fixed a bug where chests would abnormally shoot darts when entering the Goldville area.
UI improvements and ongoing iterations.
Reworked the Skeleton Swordsman's attack animation.
Adjusted Rune values and stats.
Added "Bullet Time" effect when stealing from stunned enemies.
The New Year Easter Egg Hunt event is now live! Check the announcement for details:
═══ To All Thieves ═══
As the bell tolls twelve times and moonlight illuminates the Golden dungeon, the mysterious Mr. NewYearChest has appeared at the Nameless Church.
He says:
"At the dawn of the New Year, four eggs have been hidden within this Cathedral.
One has a keen ear for listening; One gazes into the far distance; One follows like a shadow; One opens only for the Red Key.
Bring them all back to me, and a New Year’s gift shall be yours."
December 30th, 9:00 PM PST - January 11th, 7:59 AM PST
To celebrate the arrival of 2026, Mr. NewYearChest has hidden 4 puzzle eggs deep within the dungeon (specific content kept secret—come find them yourself). Solve the puzzles, discover the hidden treasures, and prove with your screenshot—you're the best thief of them all!
On December 30th 9:00 PM PST or later, update the game demo and infiltrate the Golden dungeon.
Complete the egg puzzles in-game to receive Mr. Chest's New Year's gift. Remember to take a screenshot with your watermark!
Head to the Discord #thief-star-challenge-event channel and create a post.
Share your "heist experience"—tell us how you found it! Your post must include a screenshot of the "New Year's Gift."
Speed Rewards: The first 3 Super Thieves who post on Discord will each receive a $10 Steam Gift Card.
Lucky Draw: All subsequent participants (from the 4th onward) will automatically enter the prize pool. After the event ends, we will randomly select 10 lucky Super Thieves, each winning a $5 Steam Gift Card.
Hall of Fame: All winning Super Thieves will be engraved on the "Honor Wall" on the Goblin Vyk store page. Your legend will spread across the world!
All participants who join the New Year event and post in the Discord channel (regardless of whether you find all puzzles—posting means successful participation) will receive early access to the game's Playtest version before launch.
Post timestamps are based on Discord's display. First come, first served.
Remember to watermark your screenshots—prove you're one of a kind!
If you have anything you'd like to say to us, or cool creative ideas for the game, feel free to share them too! We'll read every post carefully and respond.
Who knows—your brilliant idea might just get "stolen" and added to the game!

We are thrilled to announce that since the Goblin Vyke: Thief Tycoon demo went live, our Steam Wishlists have surpassed 20,000! Along the way, we’ve been blown away by your incredible creativity, hilarious roasts, and overwhelming support.
To be honest, when our small team first started this project, we never imagined reaching a milestone like this. A massive thank you to every "Thief Tycoon" who stepped into Grabby's. It is your support and wishlists that have helped this game get noticed and given us the courage and motivation to keep pushing forward.
Throughout this journey, Goblin Vyke has earned many tags: fun, creative, a unique "extraction game," a standout Chinese indie title, and more. We’ve received praise, suggestions, and even sharp critiques—and we’re taking it all in. This feedback is currently being forged into our development roadmap for the full version.
Our team is currently in "full-on crunch mode" (not quite around the clock, but close!) to finish the full version. We have one singular goal: to ensure the quality and content of the final game truly live up to your expectations.
Custom Keyboard Shortcuts
Development will be completed before the February Steam Next Fest.
Controller Support
Full compatibility will be finalized before the official launch.
Finally, allow us to be a little "greedy" one more time:
Goblins are born greedy, after all.
But right now, what we’re greedy for is making a game that you truly love.
If you have any brilliant ideas, suggestions, or even some "constructive roasting," let us know anytime. We’re listening and iterating—who knows, your idea might just make it into the full game.

Dear Vyke,
After a whole lot of “careful planning,” we’ve finally found a legally approved crime scene in Shanghai — the 2025 Shanghai WePlay Culture Exhibition. We’d like to invite you to come “scout the location” in person and try out the latest version of Goblin Vyke: The Thief Tycoon!
Date: November 22–23, 2025 (China Standard Time, CST)
Location: Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Hall H3
Booth: A01 (you’ll spot us as soon as you walk in and look up!)
The treasures we stole last night are going on sale for a sky‑high price today — drop by our booth to play the demo and enjoy the double life of sneaking out at night to steal and running a shady shop in broad daylight.
We can’t let you leave empty-handed (we are business goblins, after all), so we’ve prepared postcards, stickers, and more. Quantities are limited and available while supplies last—this isn’t stinginess, it’s just how a proper merchant does business.
Hotfix:
Fixed a bug where old saves could not continue playing after the update.
Fixed several UI bugs.
