Hi! I’m excited to share the latest game we’ve been working on: Dreadwoods Gatekeeper. It’s a story-driven medieval fantasy gatekeeping simulation with a horror theme (horror-themed, but not a jumpscare fest ). The game focuses on a gatekeeping job simulation where you’ll manage the gate, inspect wagons, make decisions, and patrol the town. It’s a mystery-thriller story set in a small town filled with many characters. There’s also a touch of bow combat, which you’ll master alongside the protagonist. You’ll balance between upgrading your tools for gatekeeping and inspection, and getting better gear to protect yourself from wild animals and anything else that might lurk in the woods. Note that the current trailer and screenshots are mostly placeholders. We’ve been working on the game for some time now, and soon we’ll update the page with a brand-new trailer soon. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/36651033/d7fb264e15a8248bfcdd5ffe2b6f8999e7fadc26.gif (A sneak peek at the new characters we’ve been working on) Be sure to Wishlist and Follow the game, or join our Discord community to be among the first to try an early demo! I’d love to hear your feedback, which will help a ton in shaping the game. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/36651033/4c4cc6304d503a033e1217ce8e4094be1c96eb7e.png PS: We have a new awesome bundle for Gladiator Guild Manager with the amazing game We Who Are About To Die. Hello,
We have a few exciting announcements! We've added a new feature called Glory Mode to the game, and we've also created a Gladiator Guild Manager comic book!
Plus, we’re running our biggest discount yet: 60% off!
We’ve added the Glory Mode feature in update v1.041. It can be enabled when starting a new game. This mode limits the number of times you can lose or skip a championship, giving the game a much-needed challenge. Until now, even if you played on the hardest modes, time was always an unlimited resource. That made it possible to grind through the game no matter what.
With Glory Mode enabled, you will have to be extra careful because losing a certain number of championships means game over. You can choose how many championships you are allowed to fail before the game ends, on a scale from 1 to 7.
I’d love to hear what you think about this feature, how far you manage to get, and which game settings you used.
We’ve been thinking about making this for a while, and we finally decided to go for it. It’s a 20-page comic book that follows the struggles of Slen and the Guild Owner as they fight to keep their gladiator guild in business. Their team has lost every championship so far, and the budget is completely drained. Losing the next championship would mean the end of the guild. With only a few clumsy gladiators left, can they find a way to win and save the guild?
I’m really proud of how this turned out, thanks to our artist Goran, who went above and beyond to draw the best comic he could in the time we had. Silly character expressions, a sense of motion in every scene, and tons of hilarious details bring the whole thing to life.
I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed creating it. If you do pick it up, I’d love to hear what you think. Let us know here or hop into our Discord Community to chat about it.
One more thing. I wanted to take this opportunity to share what I’ve been working on. It’s something quite different from anything I’ve made so far, but I’ve had ideas for this sort of game for a very long time and finally decided to go for it.
It’s a story-driven game where you play as a gatekeeper in a small town rumored to have a monster. You'll manage the gate, inspect wagons, grant or deny entry, meet townsfolk, make decisions, patrol the area, and protect yourself.
It’s horror-themed, but not a jumpscare fest. The focus is more on atmosphere and mood. It will still have my kind of humor and silliness, similar to Gladiator Guild Manager and my previous games.
If you're curious, follow and wishlist the game to get notified when the demo is ready.
Thank you! – Darko

I’d love to hear what you think about this feature once you’ve tried it.
