With our next major update just around the corner, we're excited to share a closer look at one of the biggest additions coming to Frontier Legends the first phase of our brand-new Farming System.
Phase 1 Farming
Players will soon be able to raise both pigs and cattle on their land claims. To get started, you'll purchase male and female livestock contracts from merchants and place them in the appropriate farm structures.
Once placed, your livestock will produce baby pigs and baby calves, which will gradually grow into adults. Managing your herd becomes an important part of your ranch, as breeding allows your farm to expand naturally over time. Keep a bull together with female cows, and they'll continue producing calves that can grow into the next generation of livestock.
Animals will also become valuable resources for your settlement. Players can:
Harvest meat and other resources from livestock.
Milk cows for additional crafting ingredients.
Collect manure, which is produced passively and can be used to create improved fertilizers for growing healthier and more productive crops.
This is only the beginning of our farming system, and we'll continue expanding it with even more features in future updates.
Dynamic Weather
The next update also introduces the first phase of our dynamic weather system.
The frontier will now experience:
Rain
Light Rain
Fog
These weather events are more than visual effects they directly impact gameplay.
For example:
Rain will naturally replenish your character's thirst.
Farm plots will automatically receive water during rainfall, reducing the need for manual watering.
Additional gameplay effects tied to different weather conditions will continue to be introduced as we expand the system over future updates.
Our goal is to make the world feel more alive while creating meaningful interactions between the environment and your survival experience.
Continuing to Improve Frontier Legends
Alongside these new features, we're continuing to polish existing systems, improve gameplay balance, and implement community feedback. Every update brings us closer to creating the Frontier Legends experience we've envisioned, and your feedback plays a huge role in helping us get there.
